Unblock Queues in APO

Hi All,
i have a small query. Can anyone please tell me how to Unblock Queues in APO. .
i have tried
/sapapo/CIF_QIN_STARTQUEUES
but somehow it dint work. . .
I have somewhere read (on sdn thread), that there's a Transaction in APO wherein you can Lock Queues, even Lock Users. .
All this functions are available with just one button click, but i just cannot recollect that T-code. .
i would really be grateful to know that T-code. .
Awaiting for a positive reply. . .
Regards,
Prasad.

Use /SAPAPO/CIFSTARTQUEUES report to start the queues.
Else you can go to /SAPAPO/CQ and the unlock queues from there.

  • Job to unblock queue

    Hi..
I was looking at forums about a job to unblock queue, but i could find any result to resolve my problem.
Particularly im interesting in a job that unblock queue in status = READY.
    any idea??
    Thanks & Regards
    RP.

    Hi Rodrigo,
Jobs in status ready can't be deleted, if you have a job that is not running and have been in the queue with status ready for a long time check the status of the job, select the job or jobs from the Overview Job list and choose Job -> Check status. If nothing see to work, restart SAP, wen the system is restarted it look for jobs in startus active and ready and change them to scheduled.

  • Inbound queue in APO side

    hi,
All R/3 changes are not transfered to APO. It got stuck in SMQ2 in APO side. every time i am manually activating  those queues in ready status.
    1) Is there  any simple way to activate all the queues having status "ready" in single execution.
    2) what will be the reason for inbound queue and how to avoid? i able to see only "ready" and "waiting" status queues there is no error

    Hi,
Please check the status of the QIN and QOUT scheduler in transaction SMQR/SMQS and see if the destination is registered or not. I am pasting the content of the SAP Help for you quick reference.
    Set Up QOUT Scheduler
    Use
Queued Remote Function Calls (qRFCs) are used to transfer data between SAP APO and SAP R/3. The QOUT scheduler processes outbound qRFCs (outbound queue).
You complete the following steps in the relevant client in the production system.
You call the QOUT scheduler using transaction SMQS. The destinations to which the outbound qRFCs are to be sent are registered in the QOUT scheduler. As of version 6.20.45 this is done automatically.
The following options exist for a registered destination:
    Type
R: The destination is registered, that is, it is started using the QOUT scheduler.
U: The destination is not registered, that is, it is not processed.
N: The destination is not processed using the QOUT scheduler, but is sent at the time of the COMMIT WORK.
Max. Connections: Number of connections that are used to send the qRFCs. The default value is 10 for R/3 connections and 1 for TCP/IP connections.
Max. Runtime: Time that a destination is processed by the QOUT scheduler. The default value is 60 seconds.
The destination NONE means that the qRFCs are processed in the local system and should not be registered up to version 6.20.45, supplement 8 inclusive. As of supplement 9, NONE can be registered and the without tRFC option set.
    Requirements
The qRFC configuration must be configured. For more information, see

  • Preventing Outbound Queues during APO Shutdown

    Dear All,
    Here's my query:
Whenever we go for a APO shutdown with all Users in APO locked, Queues get generated in the R/3 Outbound with SYSFAIL messages: User Locked.  After the shutdown, these take a huge amount of time to be cleared and lead to wastage of time.
To prevent, we have tried Stopping APO Inbound Queues during the shutdown. However, the problem continues. I would like to try Using program to Close R/3 Outbound Queues during Shutdown as well. Can this affect in any way the Queues to other R/3 partner systems other than APO?
Also, any other suggestions to prevent this problem during the shutdowns are most welcome.
What are the precautions/steps taken to prevent such situations at various APO Clients.
    regards
    Sudhir Gulati

    Hi,
In program RSTRFCQ1 (in R/3) you can define queue destination to be stopped. So you can stop only queues outbound for your APO system.
You can also restrict by queue name - it tends to be different fro APO-bound queues - CF* and FC* for example.
We always do that before stopping APO to prevent exactly your problems.

I am facing an issue in APO. Once I confirm a sales order, I have to run the Product Heuristic in APO to generate the purchase requisition through rrp3. The problem is the purchase requisition is getting generated without the PR number. The line does not show the number and also the purchase req is not reflecting in ECC. Please refer the screenshot. Kindly help me with this.

    Hi Guys,
Sorry for the delayed response. Now got another issue. My CIF model for a Sales Order is not getting activated. I also cleared the queue in APO through /sapapo/cq and then start running the CIF. But it runs for a long period.
What could be the other possible issues with CIF model activation?
I am getting a message box like the below when try to activate the CIF. I keep ignoring the message and trying to run the CIF. But still I am unable to resolve. Kindly help

  • Messages getting stuck in Queue

    Hi All,
In my scenario data is coming from database into XI and creating a file in SAP. The messages are getting stuck in the Queue and in message monitoring the status is showing as 'waiting'. Earlier the messages were getting successfully processed but system was running slow for the past two days. Is this because of system speed or some data issue?
For testing pupose I have deleted the old messages from Smq2 and tried but every new message is getting stuck in the queue. Please suggest.

  • CCR -Queue Status "SYSFAIL"

    Dear all,
While doing CCR i am getting the error with queue status as "SYSFAIL" in inbound queues of APO, When displyed the same saying " Enter Purchase Group" When displayed data from LUW in binary code shows material as semifinished material is it right?
I am unable to find out the material for which it shows this error, This error apperaed first time.
Please help me out How can i trace this error.
    Regards,
    Amol

    Hi,
What says the application log (SLG1)
You can look there by the "TID of First LUW" entry and search by "External ID" field in SLG1.
Usually from there you can get order number, material number, plant and some other useful data. Does it bring more light?
btw. "Enter Purch. Group" error usually is seen in the inbound queue, when the purchasing group of the material master is not maintained. See SNP2 tab of the material master - it should be filled.

  • Issue when transfer data from R/3 to APO

    Hi All,
When we transfer material master data from R/3 to APO then data is not updating in APO system.Could you please let me know the steps to debug CIF queue while transferring data from R/3 to APO.
    Thanks
    Mohit khandelwal

    Mohit,
Set the Debugging option in CFC2 transaction for the userid and also change the mode of the user id to Dialogue mode. This will stops the processing of inbound queue in APO system and thus allowing us to debug.

  • Updating of data in APO DP - what is 'best practice'?

I am using APO DP V5.
I am using XI as an integration broker to receive data from external sources which is to be loaded into APO DP.
There are of course different ways of doing this, for example:
    1. From XI, pass an XML message which then loads a delta queue in APO BW, loads an InfoCube, which is then used to load data into an APO planning area
    2. From XI, pass the data into BAPI parameters, which are then used to directly update data in an APO planning area via a BAPI call (eg BAPI PlanningBookAPS)
What is the recommended 'best practice' here?
    Thanks,
    Bob Austin

    Hi Bob,
I do not have experience in SCM 5.0 and XI but shall give my views from general experience.
What kind of data you are loading in APO DP is the driver for the two ways mentioned by you.
Traditionally (older versions of SCM/APO and non XI interface) Sales History is captured into an Infocube and then loaded to DP Planning Area. The reason - you normally use this Infocube for generation of CVCs which is the Master Data in APO DP. Moreover you will use this data to generate Proportional Factors for disaggregation of Statistically generated Forecast at aggregate level to the lowest level. So there is a requirement for loading Historical data from external systems to APO DP via an Infocube.
The other kind of data would be market and sales forecast. This is a timeseries data which need to be directly loaded to the Planning Area for immediate Interactive Planning. In that case rather than putting it in an Infocube and then periodically loading the data from the Infocube to the Planning Area, its better to load the data directly in the Planning Area. There the BAPI will be a good option.
Hope this gives some ideas to your query.
    Thanks,
    Somnath

  • Multiple Backend for APO system

    hi Experts,
I have a scenario to connect multiple backend (ERP system Ehp4) to the APO system (7.0 SP 03). The ERP development system & ERP  support system will be connected to one APO system which will be used for development.
    the query is,
    1. will there be any problem in this kind of landscape (for txn data, master data & transports)
    2. does SAP give any standard feature to connect this way
    3. how can the data from one APO identified uniquely to be sent to different ERP systems.
    4. generally what are the difficulties in this scenario?
    Thanking you in anticipation.
    Regards,
    Vasudevan

    Hi,
Definitely APO can be connected to multiple R/3 systems.
    1. You need to maintain the BSG group to differentiate the 2 R/3 systems. Please read SAP help on BSG.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm50/helpdata/en/ba/737b3704716066e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm
The BSG helps to differentiate master data between the 2 or more R/3 systems
    2. CIF setting (CFM1 & CFM2) in R/3 & publication setting (/n/SAPAPO/CP1) in APO is critical for data transfer between the right systems (R/3 & APO).
APO identifies from Publicaiton setting, the R/3 system where the data is to be transferred for a particluar location (same location is not expected to be in both the R/3 system)
    3. For issue related to the BUoM, you can maintain the conversion factor between the BUoM in the material master in both the R/3 systems.
We have similar scenario, where in 2 R/3 systems having same materials codes have different BuoM. We maintain the converstion factor in alternative UoM to avoid UoM issues. We are not facing much issues expect for Sales order, where we get difference in delta report. we just transfer the blocked Queues to APO.
    hope this helps.

  • CIF Queue gettign stuck in 'ready' state

    Hi,
I am facing a problem in using CIF functionality while transferrting Master data and transaction data from R/3 to APO.
I have selected inbound queue processing for APO system and have also registered the queue in APO.
But when I actually CIF any data, it gets stuck in the outbound queue of the R/3 system in 'Ready' state.
Then I always need to manually activate the queue in SMQ1 to transfer the data to APO.
The same thing happens during online transfer of transaction data.
I want the data to be transferred automatically rather tahn activating the CIF queue each time.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Ameet

    Hi Ameet
    Please following setting.
    1. User setting
-R/3 T-CD CFC2 (For debuf Area, please check whether your user has "R" or not)
-APO T-CD /SAPAPO/C4 (For debug, please check whether your user has "R : debug on" or not)
    2. Queue scheduler setting in both system
    Inbound scheduler
T-CD SMQR please make sure whether you have inbound scheduler setting.
If there is not, you can create it by hitting Registration button.
"Registration" => Queue Name CF*, and lest of it can be leave as default.
    Outbound scheduler
    T-CD SMQS
Please make sure you have entry to your SCM system.
Type should be "R". If it is not R, outbound scheduler is not activated.
So please select entry and and hit registration button again. Then type will change
    to "R".
I hope this help your problem.

  • Publishing PReq to R3 gets location_not_found error in blocked queue

    Hi,
While trying to publish Purchase Req to R3 i get a <location_not_found> error in the blocked queue.
I have checked my settings including forms of address, publication, integration models but it still happens!
When i try to create the PR within R3 it works fine.
    Maybe i am missing something.
    Would appreciate any assistance.
    Thanks,
    CY

I have the masterdata in APO as the PR is created in APO with a valid source of supply which is a purchase info record from R3.
As for messages, i checked all the queues in apo and r3 and the appl log but still the only msg was location_not_found!
I can even create the PR in R3 if i don't plan it in apo which means the r3 data is also ok!
    Thanks for the reply.

  • Query on CIF Queues

    Hi Apo Experts,
I am having some queries on CIF queues...
    > I am getting below SYSFAIL error in outbound queues at APO Side.
I can see that error text as " Material status does not allow a planned independent " . But there is no material number in the error text. So i double clikced the queue again. then i get the below screen which gives information about LUW , whichj is very very long ....
Q1. How to know the material number in this particular queue ? I have posted the same question in previous post and i got reply that u need to keep clicking the queue until u find material number. I have done the same , but i didnt find any material number. I was getting this LUW Information , which is very long and it is in digital coding .
(""" I have checked these queues in SCM Queue Manager also, and i was unable to find the material numner )
Q2. How to process this Queue again ? Can i maintain the Material Status in ECC Side and process this queue again ?
Q3. One question on LUW. Does all the material numbers which are assigned in one Particular Integration model form a single LUW ??
Suppose i have given 10 materials in a integration model X and another 5 materials in another integration model Y , Then there will be two LUW's .. is it right ??
Q4.  ( this may question may sound stupid but still.... ) .. Outbound queue in APO gets created when we are transferring something from APO to R/3 , and system was unable to process. So due to the error, an Outbound Queue gets created . My question is , If suppose there is a porblem in R/3 side, then whether an Inbound queue gets created at R/3 side ?? Or only Outbound Queue in APO gets created ?? or both gets created ??
I am having above serious doubts and working on the same. Request to kindly provide your inputs .Thanks to all for your time and support. Good Day !!

    Raghavendra

    Hi Emani,
Below information is based on best of my knowledge and experience, please try and let me know i this helps.
    Ans: Please follow below steps
SMQ1/SMQ2 --> double click on queue name ---> again double click on queue name ---> again double click on queue name.
    You will reach on a screen with heading , here you will be able to see material name and other information;
Q2. How to process this Queue again ? Can i maintain the Material Status in ECC Side and process this queue again ?
ANS: This will depend on the error message you are getting under status column, if this is due to some temporary reasons, then you can try executing by pressing execute button , or you might need to delete the queue ---> remove reason of sysfail ---> regenerate the queue.
Q3. One question on LUW. Does all the material numbers which are assigned in one Particular Integration model form a single LUW ??
Suppose i have given 10 materials in a integration model X and another 5 materials in another integration model Y , Then there will be two LUW's .. is it right ??
ANS: Please check below link for more details on qRFC administration
qRFC Administration - Connectivity - SAP Library
Further for different objects different LUWs got formed i.e. Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Stock etc., you  can find more information on qRFC communication model in below link.
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_06/helpdata/en/48/9be66e1f84062ee10000000a42189d/content.htm?frameset=/en/48/9c44f92ab0062fe10000000a42189d/frameset.htm
Q4.  ( this may question may sound stupid but still.... ) .. Outbound queue in APO gets created when we are transferring something from APO to R/3 , and system was unable to process. Or only Outbound Queue in APO gets created ?? or both gets created ??
ANS: Queues are getting created whenever you transfer some data from one system to another, if there is some issue then the queue doesn't get cleared, it gets stuck.
If you are sending data from ECC to APO then it creates outbound queue in ECC and if it gets cleared then an Inbound queue in APO.
    Hope this answers your query.

  • Many CIF queues in READY status

    Hello Experts,
We have currently 30,000 CIF queues in our production system in READY status and those are stuck since long.I tried program RSQOWKEX to process queues. Its working for one queue at a time but not many at one shot if i give CIF*.
    Please please suggest.
    BR,
    Nisha

    Nisha,
I will assume you are talking about outbound queues.  Sounds like the schedular.is not running, or else you may have a communication or resource problem.
If your queue(s) are unregistered, you can register them using SMQS.  Look for a missing destination, or a destination with a 'U' (unregistered) in the first column.  Also, it can't hurt to 'Activate'.  Don't be alarmed if in a few moments the status reverts to 'inactive', this just means that the scheduler is temporarily idle, and has decided that it has nothing to do.  More info at
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/EN/4c/cf5c3c3b067331e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
You can mass process 'Ready' queues in APO using  /SAPAPO/CQ.  Deselect 'only blocked'  select Expand Node, enter all the possible source/destination systems, execute.  In the resulting list, look for anything other than the green check, double click.  The list of 'ready' queues will appear on the right.  Select all, hit the activate Icon (matchstick).  Wait.  30K queues may take a day, depending on the content.

  • SCM queue manager

    Hi,
I am using transaction CQ to monitor the CIF queues in APO. However when i want to go to SMQ1/SMQ2 button i get the below message.
" Screen output without connection to user."
Could you help me on this??
    Regards
    Shri

    Hi Shri,
I assume you mean transactiona /SAPAPO/CQ.
This error means that the transaction that you are passing to the destination system has generated a popup window of some kind, which expects an 'interactive' answer.  Since the queue does not have an interactive session, it cannot answer the question asked by the popup, nor can it clik on the green check to continue.
When SAP constructs their queued interfaces, they generally accommodate all of the standard popup messages that standard SAP generates.  So, you should check for customized popups.
You can determine which popup it is by activating the queue manually.  You will then get the actual popup window on your screen.  If you then manually answer the question in the popup window, the queue will be processed.  Short term, this is how you can clear all of the blocked queues.
Long term, you need to solve the underlying problem.  If it is a customized message, or a userexit, you will have to get your developers involved.
    Regards,
    DB49
