Unbreakable?  : The page caused an ESI processing exception.

Does the search button work for OTN Forums work? Every time I get "The page caused an ESI processing exception. "
Mike

If you go to any forum's search result page down the bottom you can select any other forum. I have used this to avoid ESI bug while search the JDBC\SQLJ forum.

    Why do I get this on may forums when I try to search ?????

    I used to get responses from the Forum Administrator in the following forums:
    Feedback > Discussion Forums > Bugs
    Feedback > Discussion Forums > General
    Feedback > Discussion Forums > Suggestions
    until the following post, in which the Forum Administrator declared he/she had given up and I don't think anyone has received any responses since:
    jsp report not showing
    I also gave up on reading all forums other than SQL and PL/SQL, because it just takes too long to read through all of the off-topic posts.
    There is another forum:
    !Feedback > Oracle Technology Network (OTN) > OTN - Suggestions/Feedback
    where the OTN Team provided a response acknowledging the problem and indicating that they are working on it:
    Re: How can i get appmodule..

  • The yellow box around the pages when using Word Processing

    I am somewhat new to the Mac, work with "Pages" to do newsletters. The first time I chose to use the Word Processing. Next I tried Pages layout.
    It was when clicked on "View thumbnails" in Word Processing newsletter that I noticed the yellow box all around the pages. If I tried to delete a page, they all went. Luckily there is an "undo delete" button. (o:
    I have since read the difference between layout and Word Processing from one of the posts. Is there any way to delete the yellow box?
    Compumom4

    There is one yellow box for each Section of the document. When you delete a Thumbnail, you delete the entire Section, however many pages are in that section. In Page Layout, each Page is a Section, so it may be deleted without affecting other pages.
    To delete one page out of a Section in a Word Processing document, the easiest way is to highlight all its content and hit the Delete key.

  • Getting the name of the page that throws an exception from an error page

    How can I get the name of the page that throws an
    error exception from an error page?.
    Thanks.

    In each of your jsp pages, u should set the name of page in the request object. e.g.
    In jsp page called main.jsp you should do request.setAttribute("pageName","main.jsp");
    Then in error page you can get the name like
    String pageInError = (String) request.getAttribute("pageName");
    I hope that answers your question.
    thx

  • Open tabs that go unused for a few minutes no longer work and cause me to lose the page it was on.

    I like to keep many tabs open at all times, and recently Firefox has started messing up my tabs whereas I've never had a problem with this before. I believe it started after the latest Firefox update.
    As mentioned above, if a tab stays open but unused for a few minutes while working in other tabs, the site's logo next to the page's title (such as Amazon's "a" logo with the arrow under it next to "Your Orders" for example) gets replaced with the spinning green ring that usually indicates loading, but it spins much faster than it does when it's actually loading something. When you click on the tab to open it again, it is simply a blank tab and I'm forced to manually hunt down the page I was on again. However, when I log off my computer or restart it while the tabs have the spinning green rings on them, the next time I open Firefox after logging back in to my computer, it opens all the correct pages and tabs, but only if I didn't click on/open any of the tabs while they had the spinning green ring, thus rendering them back to blank tabs. If I click on a tab with the spinning green ring (rendering it blank) and then log off/restart and open Firefox again upon logging back in to my computer, Firefox will have indeed lost that page's information and it re-opens as a blank tab, as it was when the system logged off. To top it all off, if any tab(s) is/are doing that fast-spinning green ring glitch, it makes whatever I'm working on run slower, such as making a video lag that I'm watching on Youtube. If I notice that happening I'm forced to go click on the tab (losing its data in the process) and manually go back to the page I was on again just so it will stop doing the fast-spinning green ring and I can watch my video smoothly, but this only lasts for a few minutes before those pages start the green ring glitch once again and I have to repeat the process. Another oddity of note is that this only happens to tabs I actually click on and open during each session. If I restart or log off my computer and log back in and start up Firefox again, the green ring glitch doesn't happen to any of the tabs I don't touch during my session. It only happens to tabs I actually open during that session, but it happens to every single tab that I do I open during that session.
    This is getting highly irritating and it's making working in Firefox a huge hassle, as it's happening constantly. PLEASE fix this. Firefox has never done this to me before, so I don't understand why it's happening now. I haven't downloaded or installed any new plug-ins or add-ons to Firefox so I know that I've done nothing to the program to cause this.
    Thank you for looking into this for me. I look forward to hearing back ASAP and finding a remedy for this problem. This glitch is driving me crazy.

    Are there any numbered sessionstore-##.js files in the Firefox profile folder
    You can also check for problems with the sessionstore-backups folder in the profile folder.
    You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

    The idea to jumpstart by change was not the smartest one, but gives you an opportunity to use that "temporary" account as permanent. You do not have a choice cause obviously despite you thinking that old account is no more -it does exist on Apple servers. And if you are unwilling to share your [email protected] with friend, just create one extra [email protected] for your friend. One suggestion - do not use gmail.

  • When I 'm in the process of surfing or researching the pages seem to start roaming and change format visually; by font size or screen size, sometimes by page;

    "I'm {oleave nline) or attempting to sign on, the screen shows a symbol of sorts and the screen changes in size or shape. Not like a magnifying glass, but similar; other times when I'm viewing a page, it's as thought someone is controlling the movement of the text on the page or scrolling the page for me. When I try to get the control back, it sometimes clears the screen. I believe people play with their ability to override our processes, especially since everything we do is monitored anyway. In the meantime it concerns me that someone maybe shadow-stroking or engaging my emails and processes; if they are trying to investigate something I wish they would get it over with, this is exactly the kind of interference I'm talking about, LEAVE MY STUFF ALONE! I was keying down on this line and the cursor jumped between the word online

  • Exception message not thrown back to the page

    Hello All,
    I have a servlet that listens for some data. Everything works perfectly if the data is intact. I do a whole bunch of processing on the data and verify its integrity etc...
    HOwever if something is wrong, my app throws an exception and I could see from the system outs that the exception message I want to send back to the browser is being printed. But the browser does not completly load the page. In internet explorer, the page status still reads "opening page ........ "
    If I see the trace it is past the out.print) line where the error message has already been printed out.
    Is this a browser issue? Any suggestions are welcomed.
    Thanks,
    Praveen.

    The response of the servlet should go back to the mainframe system from which I receive the data. But for testing purposes I am sending the data through a url's get parameter. So I really do not want to make a error page.
    What is bothering me though is that the response gets printed in the command window and still not shown in the page giving you the impression that the request was never fully completed.
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks,
    Praveen.

    Hi
    I have done the Credential installation and configuration successfully. But still i am getting same problem again.
    My portal version is 7.0 SP 12
    I have downloaded the credentials file from the following path.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/softwaredownload?download=/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/business_packages/a1-8-4/adobe_credential_sneakpreview_nw04.zip
    In order to resolve it I have taken the Adobe Credential File from SAP and put it under /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/AdobeDocumentServices/ TrustManagerService/trust/credentials directory as "003265.pfx", i.e. extracted zip file put here.
    Now I opened the Visual Administrator and moved to Cluster tab, choose Server <x> -> Services -> Document Services Configuration
    On the tab, select Runtime tab -> Credentials
    Put the values as follows
    Alias : ReaderRights
    P12 File : clicked on browse and select the "003265.pfx"
    sha1 : <blank>
    Password : XXXXXX (Given by SAP)
    Confirm Password : XXXXXX
    Then i have restarted the J2EE engine.
    But still i am getting same error.
    Can u please let me know any thing is missing .

    Sites w/ .pdf or .ashx documents as the full page or as an insert in the page don't load the .pdf or .ashx documents - I get an Problem Report window that says "Firefox Plugin Process quit unexpectedly" and sends the error to Apple so I have had to revert to Firefox 3 getting rid of 4. Anybody have any thoughts?? (I'm runnng OSX 10.6.7)

    OK, I think I have this solved. After reading my post over, I decided to rethink the problem. First thing I did was download Chrome and I tried using that and IE again and surprise! I was having the same problem on those browsers as well. So now we know it wasn't Firefox. I then figured maybe a slow computer meant a virus, so I ran scans. I've had both Avast and IOBit for months now and I've never had a problem with either of them before. Then I downloaded Malwarebytes and ran a third scan. They all picked some stuff up, but nothing serious. Then I tried disabling all the antivirus stuff and that didn't solve anything. But then I decided to keep Malwarebytes and I uninstalled IOBit Security and whammo - problem solved.
    I have no idea why out of the blue IOBit would be causing a problem like this so if someone knows, please let me in on the secret. Additionally, IE was working fairly well last night but not this morning. I also don't know why removing IOBit would take care of the nsAppShell issue, because supposedly, that's related to Firefox plug ins. And one more thing...when Comcast hooked my neighbor up to cable, they did it by putting a splitter on my line. They were messing about with the lines yesterday before I got on my computer last night trying to decide how to rerun them and today they did that, taking the splitter off my line and giving my neighbor his own line. That was finished about 30 minutes before I uninstalled IOBit. So....who knows?
    But I ain't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. I have my Firefox back and I am so sorry for bad mouthing you last night - I love you, Firefox!

  • What is the name of the page or process

    what is the name or process that when a page is triggered, it appears in the parent page. It is almost clear except for content. With no nav or http navigation, but only has a close button.. or click on the page and it goes back to the origional parent page.  I am working in Dreamweaver 6.  Did behaviors but that was close but not what I am looking for

  • Why jsp page cause exceptions in J2EE App. Server

    I installed j2ee App Server on my Windows 2000, wrote a simple .jsp, moved the code to domains\domain1\docroot, ran the .jsp from the browser and saw the following exception. I could not find the directory common/lib for my Tomcat server. Please instruct.
    type Exception report

    description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.
    exception
    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP
    No Java compiler was found to compile the generated source for the JSP.
    This can usually be solved by copying manually $JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar from the JDK
    to the common/lib directory of the Tomcat server, followed by a Tomcat restart.
    If using an alternate Java compiler, please check its installation and access path.

    ****************************************************************************************************************

    This is a known issue.
    The error message about the missing Java compiler is very misleading, and
    is being caused by a bug in the way compilation error messages are
    being propagated.
    Following is a detailed explanation of the behaviour you are seeing:
    The misleading error message is printed only in the case where a javac
    compilation error line number cannot be mapped back to a line number
    in the JSP source code.
    The internal representation of a JSP element ("JSP node") in the JSP compiler
    contains the following info:
    - The begin line number of the JSP element in the JSP page
    - The begin and end line numbers ("range") of the Java code that was
    generated for the JSP element
    When attempting to map a javac error line number back to the JSP
    source line, we determine the range into which the javac error line
    number falls, and retrieve the JSP source number of the JSP element
    associated with that range.
    However, in some cases, it is impossible to trace a javac error line
    number back to the JSP element that caused the error. For example,
    consider the following scriptlet:
    <%
    String query = request.getParameter("query");
    if(query != null) {
    out.println(query);
    } else {
    out.println("(null)");
    // } // <-- !Missing brace syntax error
    %>
    Since the JSP compiler wraps the generated code into a
    try-catch-finally block, the above syntax error in the scriptlet
    causes havoc with that try-catch-finally block, and results in 3 javac
    errors:
    <file>jsp.java:<line1>: 'catch' without 'try'
    } catch (Throwable t) {
    ^
    <file>jsp.java:<line2>: 'try' without 'catch' or 'finally'
    try {
    ^
    <file>jsp.java:<line3>: '}' expected
    Notice that all of the above javac error numbers are outside the range
    of the java line numbers corresponding to the scriptlet that caused the
    error, and therefore cannot be mapped back to any line numbers in the
    JSP page source.
    AS 8.0 PE does not handle this case correctly, and prints out the
    misleading error message (though the real error message can be found
    in the server log).
    Notice that this problem is going to be fixed in AS 8.1, so that if a
    javac error line number cannot be mapped back to a JSP page line
    number, the javac error is still returned to the client.
    As far as your particular JSP page is concerned, I don't see anything
    wrong with it, and it compiles just fine for me.
    Do you still have any problems with it?
