UNC Path is not valid or does not have write permissions

Hi,
I've just downloaded the MVMC 3.0 SA as well as the admin guide. My environment is the following setup:
- Windows Server 2012 R2 as Hyper-V (SRV-1-011-HypV1, not domainjoined!)
- Windows Server 2012 R2 as VM SRV-1-011-HypV1 (SRV-1-030-DC01, Domaincontroller)
- Windows Server 2012 R2 as VM for Conversion with MVMC 3.0 hosted on SRV-1-011-HypV1 (SRV-1-032-File1, not domainjoined!)
- VMWare ESXi 4.1, where the source VM resides (stone001)
I've completed the wizard for converting a VM to Hyper-V and I'm Stuck at the Summary Check:
"Blocking Issue(s):
 1: UNC Path '\\srv-1-011-hypv1\Converted' is not valid or does not have write permissions."
From the admin guide this is described as Issue number 2:
The machine, on which you   are running the conversion, and the destination Hyper-V host are not members   of the same Active Directory
domain.
Ensure that the machine on   which you are running the conversion and the destination Hyper-V host are   members of the same Active Directory
domain.
SRV-1-011-HypV1 and SRV-1-032-File1 are both Member of the "Workgroup" and are not domain joined. Right now, it is impossible to join the
Hyper-V host to its VM-hosted Domain due to the required system restart at the domain join, while domain is going to be shut down. How can this issue be resolved?
Further: Is there any conflict known operating MVMC from the destination Hyper-V host itself? Will the issue occur in this scenario too, as long as
the hyper-V has not joined the domain?
Kind regards
S.Kuemmel

Hi,
in my case it worked when the Server(-VM) on which we installed the MVMC AND the target-file server were joined to the domain.
We also created a domain account, which has write-permissions to the target fileshare. We used this domain account for logon on the MVMC-machine and for running the MVMC Wizard.
Hope that helps

    Hi there,

    Thx for any help,

    Hello,
    I found finally the solution to my problem.
    You'll need to use the ssomanage and use the to
    BTSScnSSOApplicationConfig.exe found in the link mentionned previously.
    In order for it to work, a special attention needs to be paid to the AffiliateApplication.xml
    The contact XmlElement is important (it's not an email address as I used to think (smile))

  • VMWare - Hyper-V Conversion Failed: Does Not Have Write Permissions

    Hey Guys -
    Today I've been trying to convert a VM from VMWare Workstation to Hyper-V.  I have it in VMWare Workstation and not ESX because I'm working from home currently.  My Hyper-V server is also local and hosted on a new Windows Server 2012 R2 build.
    When I try to convert it at the end of the process, I get the below error:
    Blocking Issue(s):
    1: UNC Path "\\192.168.0.10\VDisks\Nagios Log Server" is not valid or does not have write permissions
    Warnings(s):

    2: The video memory configured on the VMware guest machine is greater than 4 MB.  The vid (window cuts off here)
    Below is a screenshot:
    Environment
    - Hyper-V server is on a separate system running Windows Server 2012 R2
    - VMWare Workstation is on the PC I'm running the converter on.  The source VM is shared and I have Workstation configured to share on port 444 (443 is taken)
    - Hyper-V Server is on domain - VMWare Workstation Computer is NOT joined to that domain - however - when choosing VM I connected with the domain credentials and browsed to select target folder - not just typed it in.
    - I'm using Domain Admin credentials and the VDisks share is set to have full access to the account
    - I can connect to target share via Explorer and write files / create folders successfully
    - VMWare Workstation version 11 running on Windows 8.1 Update 1 x64
    Any ideas or suggestions?  Thanks!

  • [Solved] Error : The file or folder path /Probl?me 1 does not exist

    Hello,
    I encountered this error
    The file or folder <path>/Probl?me 2 does not exist
    while I was trying to open a directory already extracted from a zip file containing directories with special characters. In this case, it is a "è" that was misinterpreted as a "?".
    I searched the forums and on google, the solutions proposed do not work for me. Although, I have to deal with these files written in french, I would like to have my locale in english (US), with a system wide support for special characters.
    Attempt 1: Adding the option : iocharset=utf8 into the fstab, like this :
    fstab :
    # /etc/fstab: static file system information
    # <file system> <dir> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
    none /dev/pts devpts defaults 0 0
    none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
    /dev/cdrom /media/cd auto ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
    /dev/dvd /media/dvd auto ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
    /dev/fd0 /media/fl auto user,noauto 0 0
    /dev/disk/by-uuid/24ba75ac-e52d-40eb-a599-83b394b500b2 /boot ext2 defaults 0 2
    /dev/disk/by-uuid/c797f409-00bc-479a-b4d6-ab49943f644b / ext4 defaults 0 1
    /dev/disk/by-uuid/668427a8-5f51-42bd-a316-fc7984bf5f4f /var ext4 defaults 0 2
    /dev/sda7 swap swap defaults 0 0
    /dev/disk/by-uuid/417cd1b7-8f06-414b-84d5-e8714d9646ab /home ext4 defaults 0 2
    /dev/disk/by-uuid/ef9aa00e-0515-4d7b-aa23-8096e787250d /usr ext4 defaults 0 2
    /dev/disk/by-uuid/17d401b7-2fc7-4d9f-8e17-657d86926d2e /tmp ext4 defaults,iocharset=utf8 0 0 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
    /dev/disk/by-uuid/71e543b6-e06c-4b0e-b1e3-3b491ff1fefe /var/cache/pacman/repos ext4 defaults 0 2
    #/dev/sda12 /mnt/archive ext4 defaults 0 2
    #.host:/ /mnt/hgfs vmhgfs defaults 0 0
    This solution does not work, because after adding iocharset=utf8, in front or after a "defaults", after a reboot, while mounting the filesystem, there is the following error message:

    $ find . -inum 1577566 -exec rm -i {} \;
    rm: impossible de supprimer « ./Probl\212me 1 »: est un dossier
    Note that the hypothetical character 'è' is represented has a '\212', a 'È' if seen as a extended ASCII character.
    These directories cannot be deleted this way :
    $ rm -r Problème\ 1
    rm: cannot remove `Problème 1': No such file or directory
    or
    $ rm -r ProblÈme\ 1
    rm: cannot remove `ProblÈme 1': No such file or directory
    What should I do to be make the operating system recognize those special character, and interpret them correctly ?

    I found a working solution, but better solution are also welcome
    I had to have fr_CA not only in utf8 but also in iso88591. I had to modify the /etc/rc.conf this way :
    LOCALE="fr_CA" <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
    HARDWARECLOCK=""
    TIMEZONE="America/Montreal"
    KEYMAP="us"
    CONSOLEFONT=
    CONSOLEMAP=
    USECOLOR="yes"
    To preserve the english US language system wide, I had to add the following line in the /etc/profile :
    # Allow french special character while in en_US
    export LANG=en_US
    The character misinterpreted by a "?" is now seen :
    as a "è" in dolphin
    as a "?" in the console
    It is now possible to access the folders.

  • Validation "is a valid date" does not pass but Apex proceeding anyway

    Hi,
    I have a simple date-item which I validate first against "not null", then for "is a valid date", then that the date is not in the future.
    In debug mode the first validation passes, the second ( is a valid date ) does not pass, but the validation process proceeds anyway...!? Then the third validation "date not in the future" produces ad DB-Error because it is not a valid date.
    Why does the validation proceed even if the validation does not pass...?
    Version 2.2.0
    Juergen

    Juergen,
    "In debug mode the first validation passes, the second ( is a valid date ) does not pass, but the validation process proceeds anyway...!?"
    Do you mean that the third validation is firing even though the second is failing? This behaviour is correct. All validations fire (regardless of any having already failed) unless they have specific conditions set on them to make them act differently.
    If you don't want the third validation to fire if the second has failed then you will need to put a condition on the 3rd validation to prevent this. Alternatively you could bundle all you validations into one of type "PL/SQL returning Error Text" then have some IF...THEN...ELSE logic in your PL/SQL to return the relevant validatoin text depending on what the problem is (i.e. Date is null, date is invalid or date is in the future).

  • Country of origin not valid; country of origin is not allowed or does not exist

    Dear Expert,
    I am using SAP 9.0 PL 09 , its upgraded from 8.82. Now my problem is while updating the Sales quotation and sales order only particular series name it getting the following error with effect from  2009 to till date sales quotations and sales order. I have multiple series name.
    "Country of origin not valid; country of origin is not allowed or does not exist"
    i  have  some addon but if i stop and proceed also the same problem comming. Can any one help me it will be good.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks and regards,
    Shamugam V.

    Symptom
    It is not possible to add or update marketing documents if an item has a value in the Country of Origin field. The application displays the following error message: "Country of origin not valid; country of origin is not allowed or does not exist".
    Reproducing the issue
    Prerequisites:
    Your company database is not in the Russia localization or you have not enabled the Intrastat feature that is relevant to EU countries only.
    Scenario:
    1. Create or update an item using the DI API. Specify a value for in the Country of Origin field. (Note that this field is not visible in the application).
    2. Try to create a marketing document (that is, an invoice using this item).
    Actual behavior:
    The document cannot be added and the application displays the following error message "Country of origin not valid; country of origin is not allowed or does not exist".
    Expected behavior:
    The document can be added.
    Cause
    Application error
    Solution
    WORKAROUND:
    Update the affected items using the DI API as follows:
    1.  Run the following query to identify the affected items:
    select CountryOrg, * from oitm where CountryOrg is not null
    2.  In the Country of Origin field, set a blank value.

  • "A valid repository does not exist at the specified connection" when connecting

    Hi all,
    I'm using ODI 11g and Oracle Database 11g EE.
    I've installed ODI without any errors, and chose to skip repository configuration during installation.
    I created the Master and Work Repositories with the RCU that was provided in the same media pack as the ODI installation files.
    After starting ODI, clicking "Connect To Repository..." and inputting the correct credentials I get the following error:
    A valid repository does not exist at the specified connection...
    http://pastie.org/pastes/8081847/text?key=grna09suyra4w0vgitbxiw
    Has anyone had this error before, can anyone help?
    Thanks!
    Josh.

    Josh,
    Looks like the RCU did not create the repository in the intended schema for some reason. you can check the schema for the ODI tables (SNP_*) presence.

    Check to make sure that the arguments are consistent with your ContentHandler class. Probably the wrong type.
    I think you forgot to include the skippedEntity method, it seems to be missing. Even if an implemented class has a method that you are not using, you still have to include the method in your code even if it doesn't do anything.

    According to the book I'm reading, if you merely take
    out the generic from the code, it should compile and
    run in v1.4 (assuming, of course, that the class
    exists in 1.4). I don't know what book you are reading but that's certainly incorrect or incomplete at least. I've manually retrofitted code to 1.4, and you'll be inserting casts as well as replacing type references with Object (or the erased type, to be more precise).
    These interfaces do exist in 1.4, and
    without the generics.Exactly. Which means compareTo takes an Object, and you should change your overriding method accordingly.
    But this raises a new question: how does my 1.4
    compiler know anything about generics? It doesn't and it can't. As the compiler is telling you, those interfaces expect Object. Think about it, you want to implement one interface which declares a method argument type of Object, in several classes, each with a different type. Obviously all of those are not valid overrides.

  • My jsp page is not displayed - tomcat does not pick up the class file

    Hi everybody,
    I have a Java code which is a controller for a jsp page, called: HomeController.java. Code is as follows:
    @Controller
    public class HomeController {
    protected final transient Log log = LogFactory.getLog(getClass());
    @RequestMapping(value = "/mypage")
        public String home() {
            System.out.println("HomeController: Passing through...");
            return "home";
    }There is nothing especial in the jsp page: home.jsp. If I go to this url:
    http://localhost:8080/adcopyqueue/mypage
    I can view mypage and everything works fine. Also in the tomcat Dos page I can see the comment:
    HomeController: Passing through...As expected.
    Now under the same directory that I have HomeController.java, I've created another file called: LoginController.java. Following is the code:
    @Controller
    public class LoginController {
    protected final transient Log log = LogFactory.getLog(getClass());
    @RequestMapping(value = "/loginpage")
    public String login() {
            System.out.println("LoginController: Passing through...");
            return "login";
        }And under the same place which I have home.jsp, I've created login.jsp.
    Also under tomcat folders, LoginController.class exists under the same folder that HomeController.class exists and login.jsp exists under the same folder which home.jsp exists.
    But when I go to this url: http://localhost:8080/adcopyqueue/loginpage
    Nothing is displayed! I think tomcat does not pick up LoginController.class b/c on the tomcat Dos window, I do NOT see this comment:
    LoginController: Passing through...Instead I see following which I do not know what do they mean?
    [ INFO] [http-8080-1 01:43:45] (AppInfo.java:populateAppInfo:34) got manifest
    [ INFO] [http-8080-1 01:43:45] (AppInfo.java:populateAppInfo:36) manifest entrie
    s 8The structure and the code for HomeController.java and LoginController.java plus the jsp files match. I have no idea why tomcat sees one of the files and not the other?
    Clean build did not help. Does anybody have any idea? Any help is greatly appraciated.

    Hi,
    Please check the following path if your application is deployed or not properly if you are using eclipse:
    Workspace\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.wst.server.core\tmp0\wtpwebapps

  • Error VISA (Hex 0xBFFF001E) The specified state of the attribute is not valid, or is not supported as defined by the resource.

    Hi,
    First of all I need to say that I just beginning with the instrument control using Labview. For this reason, it's possible that the problem that i have would be easy to resolve. However, I have been looking for any solution for the forum, but unfortunately I can't fint anything.
    Then the situation is the following: I'm trying to connect a power analyzer (Yokogawa WT1800) with the PC through GPIB. To achieve this objective I use the Agilent 82357B USB/GPIB Interface. The connection is done properly because I can see and comunicate with it through the NI MAX explorer.
    In order to achieve the instrument control using Labview, I have downloaded and installed the Yokogawa WT1800 driver (ykt1800 Instrument Driver) using the NI Instrument Driver Finder tool. The problem that I have is that when I execute the provided examples I find the following error:
    Error -1073807330 occurred at Property Node (arg1) in Yokogawa WT1800 Series.lvlib: Initialize.vi -> Yokogawa WT1800 Series Measure Continuos Normal.vi
    Possible reason(s):
    VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF001E) The specified state of the attribute is not valid, or is not supported as defined by the resource,
    I tried to change the input arguments of the Visa open vi because I think that is there where is the problem but I can't achieve any solution. In the following image is attached the block diagram of the initialize.vi:
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you.
    Solved!

    Hi,
    The Vi should work, I used it with a NI USB-GPIB interface. Can you use HighLight execution to see which property node is failing. Maybe your interface does not support the used property node.

  • The URL is not valid and can not be loaded in excite home page

    Windows 7 64bit. New HP computer. I loaded firefox and use excite as my homepage. When excite comes up the page loads and about 7 or 8 seconds later a pop up appears with "The URL is not valid and can not be loaded" on it. I can't figure out what URL is not valid. It does it every time I refresh or come back to the homepage. It just did it again as I type this.
    Can anyone help?

    is not abstract and does not override abstract method actionPerformed
    Oh, I see that the title of your post is an error message? Ok. Well, the test class is declared as implementing an ActionListener. That means the test class must have an actionPerformed() method. Your test class apparently does not.
    It does not appear that the test class needs to implement ActionListener. You are using annonymous classes as listeners.

  • Is not abstract and does not override abstract method tablechanged

    I will remove all the gui code to make it shorter, but my problem lies with my InteractiveTableModelListener.
    public class Meet extends JPanel{
      private static void createAndShowGUI() {
            JFrame frame = new JFrame("MEET_dataTable");
            frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
            frame.add(new Meet(), BorderLayout.CENTER);
            frame.pack();
            frame.setVisible(true);
    public class InteractiveTableModelListener implements TableModelListener {
         public void TableChanged(TableModelEvent evt) {
      if (evt.getType() == TableModelEvent.UPDATE) {
          int column = evt.getColumn();
          int row = evt.getFirstRow();
          dataTable.setColumnSelectionInterval(column + 1, column + 1);
          dataTable.setRowSelectionInterval(row, row);
    class InteractiveRenderer extends DefaultTableCellRenderer {

          this.interactiveColumn = interactiveColumn;
    public Component getTableCellRendererComponent(JTable dataTable,

      Component c = super.getTableCellRendererComponent(dataTable, value, isSelected, hasFocus, row, column);
       if (column == interactiveColumn && hasFocus) {
         if ((Meet.this.tableModel.getRowCount() - 1) == row &&
            !Meet.this.tableModel.hasEmptyRow())
             Meet.this.tableModel.addEmptyRow();
        highlightLastRow(row);
      return c;
    public void highlightLastRow(int row) {
         int lastrow = tableModel.getRowCount();
      if (row == lastrow - 1) {
          dataTable.setRowSelectionInterval(lastrow - 1, lastrow - 1);
      else {
          dataTable.setRowSelectionInterval(row + 1, row + 1);
         dataTable.setColumnSelectionInterval(0, 0);
    public static void main(String[] args) {
            SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
                public void run() {
                UIManager.put("swing.boldMetal", Boolean.FALSE);
                createAndShowGUI();
    }As i say, i have removed all the gui code to make it shorter, but in this code i create the table and add all the model to it. I am being returned with the error
    Meet.InteractiveTableModelListener is not abstract and does not override abstract method tableChanged(javax.swing.event.TableModelEvent)in javax.swing.event.TableModelListener
    what would be causing this error?
    Cheers

    Sorry, just figured out my silly error, the method is tableChanged not TableChanged.
    cheers
