Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.waitfor (0x9850447e783b0596) timeout

Since upgrading to OS v5.0, each time the device is rebooted, receive "Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.waitfor (0x9850447e783b0596) timeout" message.
Does anyone know if this could be related to a third party app issue or something to this version of the OS (v5.0.0.807)? Is there an relatively easy way to troubleshoot vs. removing and installing each app, one at a time?
Thanks.

Hi there!
I've heard others have had good luck with this...
Go to the home screen. Hold down the key and type 'lglg'. (You will not see anything while you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably many pages) untill you see a line that says 'uncaught execption'. Click on this line. The name of the app will be in the info.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Uncaught Exception: Application Registry Wait Timeout Error Messages - BB 8703e

Ok, I hope someone here can help me a bit more then US Cellular has done so far for this never ending problem.
This whole problem started after I updated my BB device software and installed face book application over the weekend.  Since then my BB will not receive any data signal, however I can make phone calls still after confirming many Uncaught Exception: Application Registry Wait Timeout Error Messages. Until they start coming up again.
Here are some steps I have already tried to correct this problem
    Remove Battery, then reboot
Load up Blackberry Manager to restore setting -- BB Manager doesn't even seem to see it anymore when I connect it.
US Cellular has already tried reloading the BB device software again
Has anyone ever ran into this or a similar problem like this one and figured out a  solution to it?
If yes Please let me know.  I don't want to end up carrying around some basic cellphone again.  I am already addicted to my crackberry.
    TIA

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
What is the signal indicator you get from your device?
I am trying to recall the 8703 settings, look at Options or Tools > to Mobile Network. What are you settings there?

  • Uncaught exception application net_rim_bb_phone_app (46) not responding process terminated

My Curve 8330 has been getting a little bit funky lately. I get the hourglass for long periods of time, especially when I have more than one application open. Today I got the hourglass for quite a while until I finally got the following error message:
Uncaught exception application net_rim_bb_phone_app (46) not responding process terminated
When I enter it into the search on the Blackberry support web site, I get less than no help. Does anyone know what this error message refers too or can point me to some documentation that might help?
    Thanks!

Let's ignore the error message for now (I even get a similar message on mine when rebooting, nothing I can do).
To prevent freezing or lagging/slow response on any BlackBerry, the most important practice you can adopt is to be sure to CLOSE applications when you are finished using them.
If you just hit the red "end call" key to go back to the home screen the application actually stays open and running in the background. If you do this repeatedly you will have lots of apps open and consequently your memory will get used up. Lack of memory is the biggest reason your BlackBerry slows to a crawl or locks up. If you get into the habit of actually using the menu key to close the applications this will at least slow down this memory-clogging process. You still may have to do a battery pull or use the "Quickpull" app once in a while when things get slow.
To check what applications are running on your device in the background, press the Menu key then choose Switch Applications. You will see the icons of each application there.
So now, check your applications running in the background. There are commonly four or five applications that will always be running (Messages, Call Logs/Phone, BlackBerry Messenger, Homescreen, and the Browser; there are other third party applications such as BeeJive, and BlackBerry Alerts which will also run in the background which you cannot close if you want them to operate). Make certain that the browser is NOT on an active webpage (open the browser and choose Menu > Close). Close any other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

  • Uncaught exception application

    HELP ME PLEASE!!
I keep getting this uncaught exception application net_rim_bb_messaging_app (71) is not responding process terminating when I am texting.  I reboot phone by taking battery out while phone is still on and when phone comes back on it still says the same thing.  I may have to do this 4 or 5 times before I am able to text again.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE????
    THANK YOU!!

    Hi hottmom42
Font colour nearly dazzled me there.
You will need to reload the device software but bear in mind that an app might be causing the problem, when you come to reload apps, leave out the one/s you installed immediately prior to this error.
This what I did to completely wipe my BB. I wrote this before starting and printed it off.
If your device is functioning, perform a backup now if you haven't already done so saving the file to a place and in a name that you can easily locate on computer.
I then uninstalled DTM and then deleted all other references to BB/Rim in Windows Explorer thus removing the OS for the BB from the computer in order to ensure that the version I would reinstall would be a brand new downloaded version.
Get the latest Desk Top Software (DTS)
    http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/?CPID=OTC-DSKTPSW&cp=OTC-DSKTPSW
and install it on the computer.
Get the correct latest version of the OS
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    and save it to computer.
If the PC does not recognize the BB, You need to connect the via the USB cable. Then pull the battery from the BB.
With the battery pulled, connect the BlackBerry to the USB connector and as SOON as you see USB-PIN:UNKNOWN hit Next. You have to be quick. From there you can put the battery back in (make sure you install the battery or else when the OS update is completing and the device disconnects from the computer to reboot, it will lose the power provided by the USB connection and you will get an error and have to do it all over again!).
If you don't get it right the first time, try again (unplug from USB, pull battery, connect and hit Next while USB-PIN:Unknown is showing). You have to be fast and the timing is key, so it may take you three or four attempts.
To erase all the data on your BlackBerry device, complete the following steps.
    1) Download JL_Cmder from http://www.4shared.com/get/oqP9V-2Q/JL_Cmder_v19.html
    2) Install JL_Cmder to computer.
    3) Double check you have already backed-up the BB. If you DO NOT, you will lose ALL data.
    4) Make sure the DTS is closed and plug in the BB to computer via USB
    5) Go to the JL_Cmder on your computer and double click it to start. Now,this may take a few tries to connect, so keep trying until it does.
    6) On the first screen, Press any key to continue.
    7) Now, if your device uses a password, enter it now. If not, press "N"
    8) Press 4 to initiate the WIPE
    9) Press "Y" to continue
    10) Now type "blackberry" to continue
    11) On the BB you will see a white screen with a'507' Error. Don't worry, this is what you want! You are now ready to install the OS.
Launch the new Desk Top Software on the computer
1). On the home screen of the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, click Device > Update my device.
2). Click View Other Versions. Click the version of the new OS you previously downloaded.
3). Click Install. The DTM will install the OS and then provide you with a list of applications to install. If you have had difficulties with an app, do not install it.
Do not disconnect the device until the whole process is completed and the device has rebooted.
After 10 minutes reboot again by removing the battery whilst powered-on and leave it out for a couple of minutes.
Leave it again for 10 minutes. You should now have a fully functioning BB!

  • Internet keeps crashing! "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_browser_daemon"

Recently my internet has been acting up on my bb. I'll go on the internet and then it will shut down and a message saying "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_browser_daemon() is not responding; process terminated". It happens randomly e.g. if I'm on Youtube, Hotmail, Yahoo. For some reason it shuts down a lot faster whenever I try to use Google.
Also, I'm not sure if it's related, but not I cannot sign into anything, like my hotmail and yahoo account. I type in my password and it always comes up as password incorrect. It's definitely correct and I can sign in on my PC, so for some reason my bb just isn't accepting my login info.
    Please help?!

Try a Battery pull please, with the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery 15 seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot device. This will clear all cache like rebooting a PC. Then try again and see if your problem persists.
What OS are you on? On your device, type in a new message MYVER and a space after to see and report back please.

  • Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(113) is not responding;process terminated

    Hi,
I have a bb8900 and this msg came up earlier:uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(113) is not responding;process terminated
I don't have emails any more/my carrier is clueless in helping me.
I tried to sync my phone so I don't lose any new contacts but the desktop manager says my phone isn't connected although I can see the bb icon on my desktop...and I can see the media files etc.
Any idea what I can do?

    Hi there!
There's pretty much no diagnosing those -- they are the equivalent of the random errors in Windows for which tracing the root cause is fruitless. Basically, these are the last out in the programming code -- some event occurred for which there is no handler in the code. The fix is a code update that handles the event...but, again, knowing what the event is is pretty much impossible. So, there are a few things to try:
Sometimes, the code simply becomes corrupt and needs to be refreshed -- just like a reboot:
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
There might be an updated code set from the carrier -- check them via this portal:
     http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
The toughest possible cause is a badly behaving app. To find it, there are a couple of options. One is to see if you can read the log file:
Go to the home screen. Hold down the key and type 'lglg'. (You will not see anything while you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably many pages) untill you see a line that says 'uncaught execption'. Click on this line. The name of the app will be in the info.
The other method is to remove apps one at a time, waiting a while in between (I usually recommend a week), until the problem ceases...thereby discovering the offending app.
Good luck and let us know!

This happens whenever im using BBM, i have to do a battery pull all the time to prevent the unit from freezing and hanging.
