  • Uncaught exception Application registry 0x1c26ebcd7b130582

white screen with above mesaage, any ideas?

Went to phone repair shop after getting nowhere, apparently one of the apps I've downloaded has conflicted with the software and a result I had to get the phone wiped. Good news is I got upgraded v6 software, bad news I lost all my effin numbers but at least it is fixed, guy couldn't tell me what had caused it though so I'm very wary of downloading any apps now

  • "uncaught exception application"

I downloaded some APPS to my phone yesterday (I am a brand new blackberry owner so this is all new to me). Now, I am getting this message occasionally. Help....what do I do to fix this??
    uncaught exception application
    net_run_bb_phone_app(213) is not responding
    process terminated

Thanks so much for the response. I have tried several times to remove the battery, each time dealing with the long process of rebooting. It is still happening occasionally so I will try to remove the apps one at a time to see what helps. I think I may have an idea which one it is. Thanks so much for your help. I am new to the Blackberry so I am trying to get all of the kinks worked out.

  • App Error 602 & "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(144) is not responding; process terminated"

    Hi,
I have spent a whole and very frustrating day trying to solve the following problem and in exasperation I resort to a posting here. Note no changes had been made to the phone prior to the start of the problem.
My Blackberry 9800 Torch freezes on power-up. It can only be ‘unfrozen’ by taking out the battery or, if left alone, after many minutes it comes up with the white screen, ‘App Error 602' and ‘Reset’ which is highlighted. Resetting has the same effect as taking out the battery. After each restart, it goes through the usual security and time checks and then freezes again. However, on rare occasions I got the message “Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(144) is not responding; process terminated”.
Soon after the restart, after the Security Software Verification and on confirming the time/date, there is a very small window of opportunity (literally a couple of seconds) to access the phone. After much trial and error, I discovered that (in Manage Connections) by disabling the Mobile Network and WiFi - effectively putting it into ‘aeroplane mode’ - the device would work, without any problem and indefinitely. Except, of course, I couldn’t access the phone network nor the internet, which isn’t helpful(!).
I have taken this opportunity to do a full back-up on to my PC, through BlackBerry Desktop Software (though I’m not sure this backs up downloaded Apps??). Separately, I've also copied all the subdirectories from the phone’s memory and media card on to the PC, retaining their correct structures (but presumably also copying the corruption causing the problem?).
    Any ideas???
    - thanks in advance!

The method you are attempting is the automatic method...sometimes it just doesn't work, and you must take control. The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
    1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
    2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
    http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop.html
    4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
    5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:
KB19915How to perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software

  • Please Help!!! Urgent!! Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_file_explorer(760)

OK, so yesterday I was given the Blackberry Curve 9300. It was all fine, I could acess BBM, Facebook, and I could put music on it and play it.
But this morning, I decided to put a few more songs on my Blackberry from a CD I also got for Christmas. But when I tried going on media files to see whether I'd already got this song, it wouldn't let me open the music file. This message popped up: Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_file_explorer(760) Procedure terminated.
I kept trying to go on the music file but it just sort of froze, and that was when he message popped up. I tried going on camera and clicking on album but the camera froze and I had to turn it off and turn it on again and try forcefully getting the camera off the screen. Itw orked in the end, but whenever I try to go on media, then music, it doesn't work.
A couple of minutes ago I tried again, and the message came up again: Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_file_explorer(760) Procedure terminated. I again tried to turn it off and on again, then googled it, but no one else had the same problem. Its brand new, so I don't see how the problem has occured.

  • Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_phone_app (59) is not responding; process terminated

    Hello:
So, this is the error message that won't go away:
Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_phone_app (59) is not responding; process terminated
In the 18 months that I've been attempting to use my BlackBerry Storm 1, it appears every few days.
Between that and the status icon that spins for minutes on end, I find that the smartphone that I should love is the device that I utterly dread trying to use.
From January 2009 to December 2009, I was calling Verizon for support two to three times a month.  From calling *228 to updating the software, nothing has made my Storm something I can count on.  After the December calls to support, I pretty much gave up.
The entire time I've been typing this very post, the status icon has been spinning (after pressing OK to the uncaught exception error message).
Any thoughts on what might resolve the error message and/or minimize the status icon spinning are greatly appreciated.  Removing the battery seems to be the only "solution".  But, if that's a solution, i wish I'd known what i was in for before investing in this device.
I hope your experience is better!
    -Warren

    Hello !
    Try the following:
Simply delete all the  Messenger apps (Yahoo, MSN or Live) which you might have upgraded recently / delete apps which were recently installed before the error which actually started occuring .
After that unplug the battery while the phone is still "on" and restart the phone.
In fact I had deleted a whole bunch of apps to facilitate my OS upgrade as I did not have enough memory on my Device.
This not only helped solve my above mentioned problem but also made my phone restart in less than 3 minutes (the earlier reboot was done in not less than 15  minutes !!).
Therefore my conclusion as from the above incidents is to keep your apps in the bare minimum so that your phone performs to the best.
    Hope this resolves your Problem!
If your problem has been resolved then would request you to Click on "Like" and accept as "Solution" so that other Advisors doesnt invest their time on this Message anymore.

    Hi blaqsox,
    Welcome to the support community!
To fix this issue, please try to first back up all your data using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software and then perform a clean reload of your BlackBerry Device Software. For further steps, please see the following KB articles.
    For Windows:
"How to back up BlackBerry smartphone data using BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows" http://blackberry.com/btsc/KB12487

Reboot by taking out my battery and then this message
"Uncaught exception:application net_rim_bb_messaging_app"...with different numbers in brackets come up ie (228) or (88) etc "is not responding process terminated."
I then get the option to press ok. My screen is then frozen for a while followed by a moment where I can press a couple of buttons but not get into any messages. It then freeze and the same message comes up again with the only difference being the bracketed #.
    Repeat...
Does anyone know what to do?

    Hello!
There's pretty much no diagnosing those -- they are the equivalent of the random errors in Windows for which tracing the root cause is fruitless. Basically, these are the last out in the programming code -- some event occurred for which there is no handler in the code. The fix is a code update that handles the event...but, again, knowing what the event is is pretty much impossible. So, there are a few things to try:
If it won't boot up cleanly, then you may need to try Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode
There might be an updated code set from the carrier -- check them via this portal:
     http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
The toughest possible cause is a badly behaving app. To find it, there are a couple of options. One is to see if you can read the log file:
Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type 'lglg'. (You will not see anything while you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably many pages) untill you see a line that says 'uncaught execption'. Click on this line. The name of the app will be in the info. Alternative methods for bringing up the logs are in this KB:
KB05349How to enable, access, and extract the event logs on a BlackBerry smartphone
The other method is to remove apps one at a time, waiting a while in between (I usually recommend a week), until the problem ceases...thereby discovering the offending app. Still another method is to reload the BB OS cleanly, leaving some time between adding other apps onto the BB so as to be able to determine exactly which one is the cause.
Good luck and let us know!

    Hi shalala,
Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Try backing up your device via the BlackBerry Desktop Software and performing a clean reload of your device software. http://bbry.lv/bpv7DT
Make sure to test for the error message before restoring any data from your backup file.
You may want to restore essential data only. http://bbry.lv/bhaArf If you synchronize your organizer data, you may want to sync your data back onto the BlackBerry rather than restoring from a backup file.

The fix is a code update that handles the event...but, again, knowing what the event is is pretty much impossible. So, there are a few things to try:
Sometimes, the code simply becomes corrupt and needs to be refreshed -- just like a reboot:
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Sounds like you need to wipe the entire device OS clean and load the operating system fresh.
You will need to use BBSAK or JL_Cmder to wipe the device and subsequently load the OS to the device. Follow the instructions here:
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/How_do_I_wipe_the_BlackBerry_using_Jl_Cmder%3F
For BBSAK, here is the link: http://bbsak.org/

  • Uncaught exception application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app241 is not responding

i have the blackberry curve 8520
when i try to add a new contact i get the following error message
uncaught exception application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app241 is not responding
    or the phone locks up
i have taken the battery out and the sim a few times
i went back to an older version that didnt work
    so reinstalled the new version
    and this still happens

I have a BB Curve 8530 running on OS 5.  I also got a similar error message (295) and (253). When I open the BB Contacts app. Searched for a specific contact name. Then clicked on the name.  My Curve just froze. And I either pushed buttons until I got the error message. Or I gave up and removed the battery.
To solve the issue I tried to remove my battery waited a few minutes, replaced it. Reboot. Didn't work.  I did this several times. And nothing worked. Then I read thru some of the other post on this forum.  I then remembered that I had a few apps which required updates n the past few days such as Yahoo Messenger and Windows LIve Messenger.
And found that some people deleted their Yahoo Messenger and it worked. But that didn't work for me.  I then proceeded to delete Windows LIve Messenger. And that worked for me.
I then said that I can't live without my Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. As not every one has a smartphone like BB and can use BBM. So I reinstalled Yahoo Messenger and the BB contacts app worked.  I then reinstalled Windows LIve Messenger and the BB contacts app works fine.
So everything is working fine now.  Please feel free to pass on this solutions to others.
