Uncompressed video export

Hi everyone sorry for my english . But to the point. I've got a weird problem. I created a sequenc in Premiere CS4 from several mov files, in preview window it looked sharp. Next I wanted to export the sequence as uncompressed video (in media encoder I set file format to: Microsoft Avi and codec to: none, pixel ratio: square pixel). Rendered video size was about 3 GB but the quality of the video was very poor, it was very blurred. I'm not changeing the dimensions of the video sequence.
Please help, i'm starting to pull my hair off .

i'm using premiere cs4.
trying to export the video to later compress it with virtualdub, but something gets fcuked up in the process:(
the video will be like a square after VDUB has processed it. (xvid 2-pass encoding).
any idea how to keep the original height of the video??
premiere shows the source and output the same way, so i guess its VDUB that ruins it for me?
any idea why does it do that?
cs4 export settings:
microsoft avi
video codec: dv pal
video: 720x576 @25fps
field type: upper first
aspect: D1/DV PAL (1.0940)
my source is 720x576, 25.00fps avi file, taken out from somekind Canon's XM camera...
or maybe there's a tutorial site of the same process somewhere? with all the details etc..
thanks

  • I can't export uncompressed videos

I'm trying to export my videos as uncompressed AVIs so I can compress them on a seperate encoder, H.264, so I can put them on youtube and retain high quality videos.  However, every time I try to do this, once it's finished exporting, I click the video to test it and I only get the audio.  I doesn't matter how big or small the video is or what's on it, whenever I try to export an uncompressed video, I lose the actual video in the process.
So is there a way to fix this? Or if not, is there a way I can export the video without the enormous loss in quality I get whenever I do an AVI export? Thanks

sorry I wasn't being very specific.  When I said uncompressed AVI, I mean the videos were orignially AVIs and I simply wanted them to be returned as the raw footage but in the reorganized, edited form I put them in.  Like rearanging the videos without having to encode them again and deal with the loss of quality.  Virtual Dub does this but it's harder to work with and more limited than premiere pro.
Still not specific enough. There are two ways of exporting an uncompressed AVI from Premiere Pro: you can set the Format as Uncompressed Microsoft AVI (which you shouldn't; that's only for AJA hardware), or you can set the Format to Microsoft AVI, and then select "None" from the codec dropdown. It's the latter than you want to do.
You might want to look into the Lagarith Lossless Video Codec or the Ut Video Codec Suite; both are free visually lossless codecs that will be smaller than uncompressed. They'll appear as codec options under Microsoft AVI. Lagarith installs both x86 and x64 (required for CS5) versions; for Ut, you need to install both the 32-bit and 64-bit packages.

  • How can i export uncompressed video from motion 5?

how can i export uncompressed video-material from motion 5?

Export with Current Settings if you are already working uncompressed. Otherwise, Send to Compressor, and choose the codec you want there.

  • Uncompressed QT export

    I am VERY confused!!
What is the consensus on exporting in an uncompressed 8 bit codec to iDVD or DVSP?
I edited on a DV sequence, but did add some Boris Title 3D screens and had to do some color correction. When I changed the sequence itself to 8 bit uncompressed, there were issues after rendering in the DV video sections (just blocks of color instead of video).
It seems so far, the graphics look great when exported in a better codec. Can the experts weigh in please.

Theory would state that if you up convert the DV to uncompressed, then edit in an uncompressed sequence, the graphics would look better. I think what you should do if you want this improvement, is to edit in DV, then before you add the graphics. (include the color correction in the DV sequence.
Select your DV sequence, then export using compressor. Use the preset for the advanced format conversion for uncompressed video. Reimport that file and add the graphics to it in a matching uncompressed sequence you've put the converted file in. You might gain enough quality for it to have been worth it. It also can be argued that if you do this conversion, you'll hurt the original DV video a bit.. but it might not be noticable and an OK trade off for the better looking graphics.

  • Final Archived video export options?

    Final Archived video export options?
    Hello All
What is the best method for exporting video for archive purposes, once you’ve done all you editing, correcting, toning, grading and so on.  So that you can have a master corrected file incase the Premiere file should become corrupted or something else.  I deal in 10-20 short clips maybe 10-15 seconds each and I want to keep them in an uncompressed HD format.
    Suggestions?
    Thanks
    Mark

If you're talking about master output media, as Harm says, the important thing is that you use a lossless codec such as Cineform or Lagarith.
If you're talking about the actual prproj files, you don't have much choice other than Project > Project Manager > Trim Project.  This will remove unused material and give a few other options.   Store the whole project  - trimmed material and all - -on a removable drive.
Before the days of cheap storage, the rushes would be deleted and, if ever needed again, re-digitized and reconformed using the prproj and EDL files.

    please help!
    Thanks,

  • Videos export with purple/green artifacts/splotches/flashes with Media Encoder CC but export fine with Premiere Pro CC?

I use Premiere Pro CC to edit videos, and videos render fine when I export through Premiere Pro, but when I try to use Media Encoder CC, the video exports with weird splotches of green/purple artifacts all throughout. It almost looks like the video is glitching and having a seizure of green and purple. No idea why this happens. Could anybody help me? I use Media Encoder to export bulks of videos at a time through its queue feature, which is why I prefer to use Media Encoder for video exporting.
    Please and thanks.

    Mitch,
I was hoping that you and others might have some insight as to whether the purple and green artifacts / splotches seen in the attached screenshots (taken from 4 consecutive frames here but occurring through the entirety of the clip) could possibly have resulted from exporting video with ~ Premiere Pro CS5 or 6 ? As seen below, these splotches alternate back and forth between purple and green in every consecutive frame. I was also hoping that someone might know if this is a relatively common type of artifact and how it is caused.

    Hallo Mylenium,
• Dynamic Link Media Server Error on Video Export CS6

    Hello,
Whenever I atempt to render video or export a photoshop file as a video I get the following error:
    dynamiclinkmediaserver has encountered an error
    [/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/DynamicLinkMediaServer1/main/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Foundat ion/Make/Mac/../../Src/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]
    Continue Button.
Hitting continue does nothing and the application just hangs on the video export progress bar.
I've attempted to export several types of PSD files to video, some old, some new (made in CS6) and I always get this error. I have reset Photoshops preferences. I have uninstalled the entire CS6 suite and reinstalled it.
On a whim I decided to reinstall PS CS5 and try to export from there. Worked like a charm. Was able to export video from my PSDs like before.
    I am currently running:
    Creative Suite CS6 Master Collection
    My hardware is:
    Model Name:          iMac
    Processor Name:          Intel Core i5
    Processor Speed:          2.8 GHz
    Memory:          8 GB
    Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
    Suggestions?

    Hi,
Are you still having problems with CS6 Video Export?
What Export settings are you using? (A screencapture might be the fastest way to answer that.)
Does it work if you use the default settings?
If you have time to experiment, I have some suggestions:
Would you please try/verify the following:
    1. Be sure virus/security/parental control software hasn't trapped parts of Photoshop, Bridge, Premiere, Lightroom, or any Adobe app using DynamicLinkMediaServer. (Make sure the Adobe apps are added as exceptions if needed.)
    2. Ensure you have the latest version of QuickTime
    3. Close all Adobe applications - wait more than 30 seconds, then launch Photoshop and try to open and export the file.
    - If unsuccessful, view Task Manager/Processes to verify necessary processes started up when importing video (dynamiclinkmanager.exe, dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe and Adobe QT32 Server.exe)
    - If unsuccessful, please capture the full error message text.
    4. Close all Adobe apps, wait 30 seconds - launch Bridge and try to open/export the file.
    Thanks,
    Meredith

  • First Video Export to DVD Question

Hi - I have my first ever video export from Premiere to a DVD and I'm a little nervous about it.  My footage will be shot with the Panasonic ACHD (I think that's the model as I don't have the camera with me here) and the camera is set for 1280 x 720 at 24 FPS.
I was looking through the export settings in Premiere CS4 and found the MPEG-DVD and MPEG Blue Ray settings.  When I select MPEG-DVD, I notice that two vertical bars are in each end of the output; when I select MPEG Blue Ray, there's a setting in there that makes those bars go away and the picture fits the dimensions perfectly, so it looks like I can use those settings.
My question is - after I export this file, how do I actually get it on the DVD disk?  Should I export it like above and then use Adobe Encore to burn the disk?  Or is there some other method?
    Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

Your original file is HiDef, a DVD is Standard Def at 720x480 so you will see a difference from original to DVD
You may not use BluRay files on a DVD... see above
You use PPro for editing, Encore for authoring... reading below

  • How i can insert videos, export to pdf and then watch the video? i can't

How i can insert videos, export to pdf and then watch the video? i can't. It is suposse that i have to configurate the option save but i don't know how... any help?

    Fron the Pages Help menu:
    Using Sound and Movies
You can add audio—a music file, a playlist from your iTunes library, or any other sound file—to a Pages document. You can add video that plays within a page.
Pages accepts any QuickTime or iTunes file type, including the following:
    MOV
    MP3
    MPEG-4
    AIFF
    AAC
Also note that some media files are protected under copyright law. Some downloaded music may be played only on the computer where the download occurred. Make sure the computer you are using has permission to play all the media files included in your document.
When you add media files to your document, make sure that they will be available if you transfer your document to another computer. When saving your document, make sure the option “Copy audio and movies into document” is selected in the Save window. (If you don’t see the option, click the button next to the Save field to display the entire Save window, and then click the Advanced Options disclosure triangle.)

  • Video exports about half and then turns white

    Hey,
Trying to figure out what is up with my export. Using h264 (HMC150) and mp4 (EX3) trying to export a 1080 file that is about 13 minutes long. The video exports but about halfway through it turns to white, the audio continues playing.
I exported the same edit yesterday and everything worked great, the client had some simple changes which I made and now it will not export properly.
    Win7, 12 Gig Ram, nVidia 470
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks!
[Terminology changed to reflect the action.]

WMP, QT And PPCC... it's definitely there.  Unfortunately, I missed a deadline (First time ever!) because of it and they will be showing the previous version at the event.
I just re-edited the (version 1) sequence and am re-rendering the video, hoping that the (version 2) sequence got corrupted and a new one (version 3) will clear it up so that at least the DVDs will be correct.
    Will post results.
    Thanks

  • Final cut Pro video exporting

Final Cut video exporting stuck in 5% and I don't know what to do .

    Cancel the export.
Go to Preferences and turn off Background Rendering.
Select your project in the library and in the File menu, click on Delete project RENDER Files; choose All when prompted. Select your event and do the same with the event RENDER files. In the project use the range tool to select a short section. Try to export that as a test. Don't render before you export.
If that doesn't work, copy the project and paste it into a fresh project. Try another export test.
    Good luck.

Thanks for getting back so quickly,
Here is my problem. I have 2 Macs, a desktop and a laptop. The laptop
running Tiger (operating system) and Adobe CS3 which is fine for
conversion through Quicktime to .flv but on my desktop which is
running Leopard (OS) and Adobe CS4 I cannot do this type of conversion
without going into Adobe flash encoder which requires 1 more step.
I looked up Flash video exporter on the Adobe site (see link below)

available for CS4 and for Mac.
