Undelivered mail question

If anyone can give me an answer, I'd be absolutely grateful!  I had Exchange Online account for about a year, with three users, and cancelled in December.  I migrated my email back to our web host (Network solutions) and everything was great.  About
a week ago people started receiving undelivered mail messages when they sent me an email.  I always received their emails but they received the following message:
This is the mail system at host mail168-tx2-R.bigfish.com.

My web host looked over all of our mail settings and nothing points to Microsoft.  Microsoft tech support phone help can't figure it out.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

It's gone. Correct the email address and send it again.

  • Undelivered mail issue

We recently upgraded from CF7 Standard to CF9.0 Enterprise. After working out several bugs, we have everything working correctly except the following.
Undelivered mail messages are not being routed to the mail/Undelivered folder. I have to assume they are being deleted. The undelivered mail was moved correctly in the CF7 install.
When I go into the CF Admin -> Mail section, and then click the View Undelivered Mail button, I get the following error:
Error invoking CFC /webroot1/CFIDE/administrator/mail/undeliveredmail.cfc : Not Found
The file in question does exist in that folder, and has the necessary access rights.
Anybody have any thoughts on this? I'm at a loss and can't find anything relevant on the web. Thanks in advance.

  • Group Email-Undelivered Mail

I have various groups setup up on our server with users added. When I send an email to the group the members of that group are receiving my message, so I believe I have the correct settings for group emails.
The problem I'm having is that after a few weeks mail stops being forwarded to the recipients in the group and gets returned as "Undelivered Mail Return to Sender". I can get everything working again if I stop the Web service and then restart it.
This problem is driving me crazy as I cannot locate what might be the cause. Any help would be great.
    Thanks

I guess you might be using the wiki group email feature ? or a script that goes through the groups you have setup and builds an alias database ?

    Hi,
For troubleshooting, please try to turn off Auto-Complete List name suggestions by following steps.
    Click the File tab.
    Click Options.
    Click Mail.
Under Send messages, select or clear the Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names when typing in the To, Cc and Bcc lines check box.
Then try to select the address from Address book and send messages. If this issue persists, please let me know.
I will appreciate for providing me the NDR to check this issue.
By the way, which list you delete the address from?
    Thanks.

  • I keep getting "undelivered mail returned to sender" that comes with an attachment. I have not opened the attachment but the email returned is usually from people that i have not emailed in a long time.

I keep getting "undelivered mail returned to sender" that comes with an attachment. i do not open the attachment but i get email returned from people that i have not emailed in years. I also have current people that tell me they receive email from me and there is nothing on the email and it is a repetative thing for them and for me. I have scanned my computer and it keeps telling me there are no viruses but i keep getting these emails. can anyone help me please!

Someone is probably sending spam with your address forged on the To: line.  Could be one of your old contacts with a Windows machine has a virus that's doing it.  It's also possible your e-mail account has been hacked, though I'd think such a hacker would be a bit more purposeful.

  • .mac mail question:I have an old emac without an intel chip...

.mac mail question:I have an old emac without an intel chip...I have a .mac email account, I would like to be able to have my emails automatically forwarded to a gmail account. I cannot access icloud with this old machine, any ideas? thanks! and aloha!

    Hello,
But you can setup iCloud email on you old Mac!
Do not delete the old account yet. sign up for an iCloud account if you haven't.
I understand .mac mail will still come through. Do not delete the old account yet.
You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.
iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.
    IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
    • Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    • SSL Required: Yes
    • Port: 993
    • Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    • Password: Your iCloud password
    SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
    • Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
    • SSL Required: Yes
    • Port: 587
    • SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
    • Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    • Password: Your iCloud password
Also, you must upgrade your password to meet the new criteria:  8 characters, including upper and lower case and numbers.  If you have an older password that does not meet these criteria, when you try to setup mail on your mac, using all of the IMAP criteria listed above, it will still give a server error message.  Go to   http://appleid.apple.com         then follow directions to change your password, then go back to setting up your mail using the IMAP instructions above.

  • Do not process the undelivered mails-Mail adapter

    Hi Experts,
In my scenario, I am using sender mail adapter. PI is successfully polling the mails  and sending it to intended recipient.
Now, if the mail is undelivered to recipient then a notification indicating undelivered status will come to sender' s mail box.Next the requirement is, PI should not poll this undelivered message again since it has already polled it once.
Is there any way to do it ,is there any property in mail adapter configuration.
    Thanks
    Ayan

    Hi Ayan,
    >>Now, if the mail is undelivered to recipient then a notification indicating undelivered status will come to sender' s mail box.Next the requirement is, PI should not poll this undelivered message again since it has already polled it once.
If that option is selected then the mail will be moved to another folder and it will not be available at the second poll..

  • Simple Mail question (couldn't find Mail forum)

Sorry to ask this on iCal forum, but I saw no forums dedicated specifically for regular Mail.
This is a simple question as I am a new Mac owner: I am used to using gmail for my email, and like this primarily because, given that it is a web based email application, I can access my email from any computer, anywhere, anytime.
Given my new Mac, I am interested in switching to the Mail application and was wondering if there is any way to check my email when I am away from my home computer? I think this would work with a mobileme account, but I have not obtained one as of yet.
Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks...

    Thanks Kosmoe...
One other question...if I do indeed create a new email account and use the Mail application for it, will I be able to check messages via the internet from any computer or only from my own?
And, if I want to be able to check from any computer, then it seems like getting a mobile me account would solve the problem, right? I am assuming mobile me email can be accessed from anywhere?
Sorry to be such a Mac newbie! But so far loving the whole Mac experience!

  • PC user switching to Mac Pro - Internet connection/Mail questions

    Hello:
I am a long time PC user that is going to switch to the Mac Pro. I have two questions relating to the Internet/Mail.
    (1) On my PC, I have an ADSL modem to connect to the internet. Can I plug that directly into my Mac Pro's Gigabit Ethernet port, or do I need other Apple Hardware? I have no interest in going wireless.
    (2) If/When Parallels is working for the Mac Pro, can I use Apple Mail, then attach files from Windows Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, etc) via Parallels. I want to migrate to Apple products, but at this time, I still need my Office products.
thanks in advance for helping this Mac newbie.

    Welcom to the Apple Forums!
If your modem has a ethernet connection, then you can
connect it with a cable to the Gigabit networkport on
your Mac. Just like the same as Windows.
Whit parallels workstation is it possible to acces
the Mac disk. So, you can save from windows on your
macdisk. And then, you can acces it with mail.
You said: _from Windows Office products (Word,
    Excel, Visio, etc) via __
Remember, there are also office products for the Mac.
When you are using Parallels to run Windows, it is
not possible to acces de Windows HD from Apple. So if
you want to share files betwee Windows and Mac, you
have to do ut from windows. Windows can read/write
    the Mac disk.
You can set up a share folder with Parallels between Mac and the PC side which is what i do. Maybe work on something on XP than put back in the share folder than see it on the other side . But seeing externals and such from the PC side i can't seee them but the share folder does work. I switch my office to the mac side and it works fine and use Entourage as my mail client, looks and smells like outlook

  • Undeliverable mail question

    hi,
What does this dsn mean? And could it be spam?
    the subject is "Undeliverable mail"
    Message body:
Failed to deliver to '[email protected]'
    SMTP module(domain yyyyy.com) reports:
    yyyyy.com: no response
Two attachments came along with the message. One of them is:

    Final-Recipient: rfc822;<[email protected]>

    I checked mail.log_current and grepped for zzzzz.net:

thx for the explanation .Now things are clearer. Few

what about the E entries in the log:

    myuser@ims-ms-daemon swip.net (mailfe05.swip.net
[83.180.141.95]) "E" means, "Enqueue". That's when your server puts the message in the queue. Has nothing to do with sending a message. In fact, this log entry shows the message
Coming from the tcp_local channel (external to your systems),
and addressed to your user on the local store.

Also, when you said 'original address is bad', the
original address is [email protected]? and the

out that it does not exist? No.
the address to: was "[email protected]", or whatever was there, before you changed it.

  • Mac Mail question.

Hi, I am not sure this belongs in this discussion, if not I apologize for the incorrect post
I was wondering if anyone knows of an app or plugin type of program that will display the number of unread emails in teh dock/toolbar as outlook for windows does? It gets to be a pain always having to move my mouse down to the dock for the icons to pop up and to see if there is a little red circle in the mail icon that tells me how many messages I have to read. I also liked the quick notifier feature that outlook offers, I am using Herald 1.3.2, which is nice notifier and has plenty of custom features.
but the one thing that would be really nice is to always have that little reminder in the dock (or toolbar like windows offers) that tells you how many unread emails you have waiting for you. I could leave the dock up and not have it slide down, but I dont want to give up that screen space for that simple notification.
thanks for any information.. I hope that question makes sense and there is something out there, or maybe there is a setting I have missed in mail.app.
    Chris

Try moving the dock to the right side of the screen, and make it small-ish.  You won't miss the screen space over there very much, most likely, and then the badge will remain visible.  If that's not a satisfactory solution, I'm sure there's a third-party solution for showing your unread mail count, but I don't know what that might be.

  • A really dumb Mail question

Like the subject says, I have a really dumb question.
This morning, my IMAP went nuts, and I spent about an hour trying to fix it. Everything seems to be normal now, and Mail is back up and running (hopefully). But now I noticed something, whenever I get new mail, the number of unread emails doesn't show up to the right side of the main inbox like it does with the other mailboxes I created.
I have rules set up, so certain emails go to certain folders, and those folders display the number of unread messages inside. But not the main inbox.
So now I'm wondering if that was always the case, and this is just paranoia left over from the email mess this morning, causing me to notice something that might have never been there in the first place.
    Thanks for any help

    Ernie:
The folders are on the IMAP server, and not On My Mac.
Most messages that don't fall under the rules will go to the default inbox.
For those messages that are moved, a number counting the amount of unread messages will show up next to the folder.
    Fioba:
That sounds like a good idea, but it seems counter intuitive to need to create a smart mailbox for unread messages, when that is the purpose of the inbox itself.

  • Exchange 2003 to 2010 migration web-mail question?

We are in the process of migrating our Exchange 2003 server onto Exchange 2010 and I have produced a plan to achieve this, but would appreciate some help regarding a couple of steps? In particular how this will affect external users. Information:At present we are running windows 2003 Domain controllers which I will be updating to the levels required for Exchange 2010 to exist. Our Email is provided by an external company which sends the mail to our external IP address on the firewall, which in turn is forwarded to the internal IP of the current exchange server. We also have mobile device users that are configured to receive mail using the webmail.domainname address – without the /exchange setting at the end.My question is: How, during the install,...
