Does the Activity 7 and or 77 alone or in combination with any other Activity in Auth Object F_BKPF_BUK give access greater than read or Display?

Sorry to say it, but this is normal for Apple TVs. I've owned a TV2 and a TV3, and neither lasted for an entire year. They are quite fragile and of low quality, and as you can see here, quite fussy even when they work. The wi-fi receiver on these are cheap and unreliable.
Consider the $99 an annual rental fee. They rarely work for a whole year, so if you are going to use the platform, you will have to replace them constantly.
Also, when one dies under warranty, never, never send it to Apple for repair. Go to the Apple Store for replacement. I sent my ATV3 in for warranty repair using a box sent to me by Apple, and although FedEx tracking showed it was accepted by Apple, it was never seen again. Apple won't replace it or even return my calls.

Linking a custom object to an activity and importing records

I'm trying to create a link between an activity record and a custom object record. In essence, we will have 1 activity record with multiple associated custom object records linked to it. How do I import these multiple records to a specific activity record? I thought I could use the Activity: External Unique ID field but that field does not appear on the list of values available for importing to a custom object. Anyone have any ideas how to do this?

Ken, at this time the import wizard does not support this type of functionality. However, this could be done using web services.

Activation and Firmware update on ATV 3G failing

Hi all,
I just purchased an ATV 3G and it is running 5.1. I actually just swapped the unit out where I had a 2G. (Moving the 2G to a vacation home)
So, I keep trying to update the FW and it kees failing. I've tried about 5 times. In each case:
The firmware downloads, It then goes to Step 1 preparing update. The progress bar completes on that Step and then I get a message that the Firmware update was not successful and it tells me how I can restart the unit.
When I go into Settings-General-About it shows the Activation as Failed (Skipped). I am hoping that this is related to the Firmware problem.
After these problems, I put my ATV 2G back and I was able to get it to update its firmware. (From 5.1.1)
After the 2G updated, I then put the 3G back and it failed again. (I used the same power, HDMI and ethernet cable for both, so it isn't a cabling problem)
I have no idea on how to troubleshoot these issues.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.

Lenovo and Suse Enterprise Product Activation and Suse Update?

I have just bought an Ideapad S10e with Suse on it.
Can anybody help me with this two questions.
1) I would like to activate my Suse product at the Suse website, where do I find my activation key?
2) Can I update easily from Suse 10 to the new Suse 11, I have got Suse 10 with my new Lenovo.

and its not possible to upgrade direct...
the Suse 10 is not really up to date...
its better choice to delete it and starting from a scratch install all other linux if you want linux...
i.e. Opensuse 11,
Linux Mint, Ubuntu 9.04 ... Archlinux..
.and many more..
my favs are Ubuntu and Mint...
all function out of the box....

Do 2 same auth objects with different values bleed together?

If I had a user who had Auth object F_BKPF_BUK with Activity 01 and Company Code 1200 and also Auth Object F_BKPF_BUK with Activity 03 and Company Code 1300, would the user have 01 and 03 for both Company Code 1200 and 1300 or would the user be restricted to 01 for 1200 and 03 for 1300?

It depends on the object and how the result of the authority-check is "built".
For the result of a single authority-check Sanju is correct.
It would not make sense to attempt to display something (retrieving the value from the record) which has not been created yet (checking the value in the entry screen).
However the opposite can be true for authority-checks within arguments:
- IF weak_check_failed    "user is not authorized...
- THEN perform strong_check    "permit everything if passes...
- ELSE return_to_...     "Go back to list...
However, in many cases this weaker : stronger check is against different objects.
Other transactions will completely bypass the one object and only use a stronger one.
F_BKPF_BUK should be okay for transactions FB01 and FB03, for example.

So that user can perform mentioned action on the data providers mentioned in analysis authorization object.

I followed step by step book of kamaljeet and findout that , I was missing to add related info objects of the inforprovider .added those info objects to auth analysis object.
Now query is working fine without errors;
problem is i am not able to restict the query since it showing all the data ; i am trying to put only few values in "0wbs_elemt " .
I added 0wbs_elemt in my analysis auth object;
Clicked on 0wbs_elemt and kept values in value authorizations and also kept wbsh in hierarchy name , selected type 1, HI 0.
still i am unable to restrict the data;

Auth Objects on ME23N

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to find the authorisation objects that control the GRIR information on the Display PO's tcode - ME23N.
I have to seperate roles with ME23N tcode - one shows the GRIR info on the details section and the other not.
Just trying to understand which auth object controls the display and which values to assign to have it displayed or not.

I use SU24 to see which auth objects is involved.
The problem I have is that the amounts on the Purchase Order History tab is not showing when I assign one role, but when I assign the other, it does.
I guess what I should do is do a comparison on the auth objects and values with the 2 ME23N's in both roles.
This might give me an indication on the possible differences.

Job role design - transaction role and auth object role

Hi all, please kindly comment following job role design:
(1) transaction role:
Keep transactions in single job role to represent business processes in different application areas, e.g.MM: maintain PR, PO, OA. CO: maintain cost center, internal order HR: maintain org structure, personnel management.
The single job role will only keep role menu, object S_TCODE and inactivated all other application related authorization objects.
(2) authorization role
Keep application component related authorzation objects except S_TCODE in single job role by different application area, e.g. Objects of MM_B, MM_E, MM_G in MM role. Objects of K_CCA, K_CSKS_SET in CO role. Objects of HR in HR role.
Then maintain org level of MM, CO, HR roles for different companies, e.g. Company A MM role, company A CO role, company A HR role, company B MM role.;....
User will be assigned transaction role + auth object role. For example, user of company A to perform MM and CO functions will be assigned
with MM transaction role + company A MM role + company A CO role.
Please let me know the pros and cons of above design. Thanks.

Do you know the transaction code or the program ID.....?
Probably the data in the list was extracted from our system, and some data were manually processed or added.

Yes, the interfaces of those tools are often a hazard in themselves...
I typically recommend customers to delete them completely. Sometimes this comment also exists in the code itself, but who reads code now-a-days in GRC projects, and why should they have to? ;-(
This looks very much like one of those tools (where the SQL statements are built externally).

Cfldap and deleted objects container in Active Directory

Hello,
I am trying to use a CFLDAP query to bind and search in the
Deleted Objects container of Active Directory. This would allow me
to get the sAMAccountname values of the users who have been deleted
within the last default 60 days (searching tombstone objects in
Deleted Objects).
I have tried various methods including <cfldap
start="CN=Deleted Objects, DC=<domain>, DC=<com>> (I
am omitting the rest of the CFLDAP attributes in the example
above). I'm not sure if CFLDAP can even query the deleted objects
container. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks for your help! I have however already explored those
solutions offered by Microsoft. Sadly, they only work in separate
programs (i.e. ldap.exe which comes with Windows Server tools).
After lots of research I have found a Java method that can bind
with the container and return the results. CFLDAP, I'm afraid is
just not capable of doing this - or at least I have had no luck
with it (I was connecting as domain admin btw).
The challenge now is to get the Java class to communicate
with the rest of my cf code.

a tool that might help you as a super administrator to check object dependencies / delta links and to compare object properties (e.g. for objects where you assume they are multiplied), might be the PCD inspector. Before using it you should be aware of the following comment: T"he change function should only be used with great care and by persons who have expert PCD knowledge. Accidental changes (such as deleting a PCD object) normally cannot be undone and could gravely endanger or permanently damage the portal." So be careful when using this tool.
