Under title of suggestion

In the editing of Project training,
I see the under title of suggestion only if I approach the
mouse at the selection case.
Can I show this under title always, also if I don't approach
at the selection case?
Is it possible to change this options?

That's the way I read it, too, Jeff. Seems that s.bert is
wanting to find a way to apply changes to the defaults, and have
those changes apply globally (massive).
Changing the defaults for font attributes or text captions
will not affect what already exists.
s.bert, if that is what you are trying to do, the only way I
know to do it might be to use the "Apply To All" button on an
object's properties dialog ... but if you do that, be sure to use
FILE > SAVE AS to create a new file first, because the "Apply To
All" button can get you into trouble with unexpected results. Good

Hi, does anyone know how to remove that black line under the title bar
which is shown in a MAC-Air Application?
I know I can solve this problem by making the whole app transparent. But that also means that
I have to do the whole skinning by hand, thats something I want to avoid. ;-)

I ended up re installing Mavericks after the last update (10.9.1) from a bootble USB stick. The problem appears to have gone away, so maybe my original upgrade of Mavericks caused the problem???
I downloaded Mavericks again from the app store. When it had finished downloading (approx 5Gb) I exited the installer and created a bootable USB (needs to be 8GB minimum). Then booted from USB and ran the Mavericks installer. As I said problem seems to have disappeared......
I used this article http://www.macworld.com/article/2056561/how-to-make-a-bootable-mavericks-install -drive.html and used the method in Option 1 in the article to create the drive. A Synopsis of the steps are:
Format the USB using Disk Utility to Mac OS Extended with GUID partition.
Open Terminal and paste the following command press Return and enter admin password when prompted
sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app --nointeraction
It takes a while to create and copy the installer. (Could be up to 30 mins)
Finally reboot and hold down Option key while computer boots then select the USB drive.

Subtitles/captions under title and signs on some new iTunes movies

Recently I purchased "Indiana Jones - The Complete Collection" and was amazed to see that on all four movies, when the movie title is displayed or any sign, foreign subtitles appear underneath and I could not find a way to get rid of them. Subtitles are off, closed captioning is off. Apple were very responsive and gave me a refund and I assumed that it was only an error in these particular movies.
But, I just purchased four of the recently released, on iTunes, "James Bond" movies and they all suffer from the exact same problem and I cannot find any setting that is incorrect on my systems. These subtitles/captions are displayed under the movie title when it appears and any signs, if I watch them on my iMac or iPad and both have the latest software.
Are all of these movies being encoded incorrectly by Apple, is that really possible, or am I doing something wrong? Other movies I've purchased have never had this problem. Strangely the reviews for "Jaws" contain many descriptions of this exact problem, but for that movie I do not have the problem.
Can anyone help me understand what is going on, I cannot be the only one to be experiencing this?

I have the exact same problem. I bought Lady and the Tramp and Winnie the Poo last week and every time there is a scene with written text displayed, they have the foreign subtitle showing up underneath, and in my settings all the subtitles and captions are turned off. I have read in other threads this has happened before and apple sent out a notification to re download the movie after they fix it. Argh, frustrating

I can't view artists name under title in compilations on my iphone

I am trying to find out a solution, but seems it's not solved yet.
On my Mac in iTunes my music collections is ordered by albums and compilations. All songs has a right tags. Albums has a Artists, Album Artists, Titles. Compilations has a check box Part of Compilation, Artist name, Title and Artist Album field are filed with Various Artists. But for some compilations I have deleted Album Artist just for experiment.
At iTunes all looks great, I have albums and compilation in that order what I want. But in my iPhone and iPad a cant see artist name under the songs title. It's uncomfortable and not user friendly as for me. Sure it's not an issue in albums when you have an one Artist and one his Album. But in compilation it's very complicated to find some tracks by title.
Please if you have any thoughts about how to view artists names in compilation under the tracks help me.

Replace still graphic under titles at beginning of movie

I've got a still image at the beginning of the vid that appears under the graphics. But now I've got a different image to replace it with - when I try to replace it, I seem to manage to delete the titles as well as the image.
Is it possible to replace it with the minimum of fuss?

Hi dawdle - your first sentence is not very clear - 'an image ... that appears under the graphics'?
If you mean that you want to replace a still image that lies under your title, with another image, then that is not possible without re-doing the title as well.

Making Video Invisible Under Title Graphic

I'm new to this whole thing, and I'm trying to overlay a graphic and title over the beginning of my video clip. I still want to keep the audio, but just have a graphic logo fade in then fade out--and then a title fade in/fade out and then the remainder of the video will become visible again synced up with the audio.
Just haven't the slightest idea how to do it!

Assuming I am understanding what you are trying to accomplish and what you may have done so far....
Which video track did you put the slug on? Also the slug brings an audio track with it, you need to either delete the audio or turn it off. Bottom line is the slug for video needs to be on a track above the video you want to cover.
I might also suggest that you spend sometime with a tutorial or a book. FCE is a bit too complicated for a learn as you go approach. You might get by with iMovie that way, but FCE is a different level of editing software.

Black lines under titles, rightclick not working / displaying ALL options, flash and video showing up as black

For about a day now, I've had to go through the horror of converting all my stuff over to that horrible slow browser, Chromium. And at this point, I just want my firefox back.

Anyways, I believe this started happening after a prompt was given on either Aurora or Nightly, where it asked me if I wanted to try out your new multi threaded browser or whatever. Me, wanting to continue with what I was doing pressed yes. A little later, I started noticing that nothing actually worked anymore. I even tried uninstalling every instance of firefox I have on my system, including Tor, and the issue still seems to persist.
I'm running the OS Windows 8 with an AMD CPU and GPU.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Windpad 110W Win 8.1 upgrade can no longer boot under AHCI

I recently upgraded my 110W to Win 8.1, but then discovered that it would not boot after the first reboot. As found in some forums, changing to IDE mode in BIOS allows it to boot, but performance is somewhat slower. I have tried chaning the storahci registries and restarting under AHCI (as suggested in numerous forums) but it didn't work. I think it is possibly related to some driver issue as there were issues when I tried to update to drivers newer than those on the MSI site (I now have the MSI drivers loaded). Any suggestion as to how that can be solved?
Also, shutdown and restart seems strange. The screen would go dark pretty quickly (as usual), but the power light on the side would stay on for about 2 minutes before it would reboot / shutdown. As suggested by some, I have turned off quick boot, but it is still the case.

It's possible that the driver isn't compatible for windows 8.1, so either you can try to find the driver for windows 8.1 or I would suggest to roll back to windows 8.

Help with titles in themes & photo clips jumping

Hi all - working on a project and can't figure two things out! One, my main opening that I did in the themes opening I want to say a longer title than it will let me. I can type it in under title and it lets me but it only show three words when it plays - can't figure it out? Second, I have about 50 photo clips and 4 of them are jumping mid-play. Only in the timeline setting. When I play them individually they are fine. They jump mid-way thru the play and the transitions are fine. Only 4 out of 50 doesn't make sense? Anyone know? Thanks!!

No, I've tried extracting the audio and re-doing the title, but when I burn the DVD (and you know how long that takes) I find on playback I have these grating noises.
I suppose I should be grateful they are only brief and affect only a few of the many titles.

Black Background Title Screen

I am trying to create a black background title screen (with white titles). Suggestions on this board have indicated that I could drag the title bar before the clip begins and that the default color would be black (i.e., solving my problem). I have not been able to drag the title before to an area before the clip begins. Any help would be appreciated.

Photo titles in iPhoto

When I name (title) a photo in iPhoto 6.0.2, the title appears in the information window under title. If I go to Pictures/iPhoto Library/Originals/2006/, the album that I highlight has all of the pictures titled with a number, for example P101001.JPG, not the title I assigned. This means that when I burn the pictures to a disk, all I have is a list of numbers and not the names I assigned. Am I overlooking something? In previous versions of i Photo, my pictures all accepted the titles I assigned and they were transferred to Pictures/iPhoto Library/Originals/2006/, so either I am doing something differently or something has changed.

As long as I have used iPhoto, titles you give images in iPhoto stay within iPhoto. they have never changed in the Finder.
To burn a roll of photos:
click on the roll title to highlight the photos in the roll
Got to File>export
In the export window choose "title" as the naming scheme
Create new folder on desktop
Export into that folder
Burn that folder

Where is internet radio in the latest I-Tunes version? It is NOT under music or ANYWHERE

Where has Internet Radio gone in the latest version of i-Tunes? It is not under "Music" as suggested by I-Tunes helpline, I cannot access it from anywhere? Can anyone advise? Thanks

They made it a bit difficult to find.
First select Music from the icon at the upper left:
... or select "Show Sidebar" from the View menu, and choose "Music":

Published parameters missing from Title

Hi guys,
I've just downloaded Final Cut Pro. I'm trying to edit titles, but the published parameters section under 'Title' in the Inspector is blank. How do I get it to show the ink colour etc? I just dragged and dropped the standard Basic Title onto my timeline. I can edit the text, but nothing else. Any advice would be appreciated!

The color controls of most of the titles are in the Text inspector under Face not the Title inspector, which is for parameters published from Motion.

How to download a song into Itune without losing pre-fix of title

To classify songs, I have a pre-fix in the title to the song. For instance, if it is and old song "Kiss me on Sunday" it would be: "Old7 - Kiss me on Sunday". When I down load from a folder on HD to the library, the pre-fix does not appear. If it possible, also reply directly: [email protected]

You're confusing Filenames and Titles.
It would appear that you're renaming the files, not titling the photos. Brief explanation: The Finder deals with files. iPhoto deals with Photos. Renaming the file does not change the Title of the photo. The title is an entry in the Exif metadata of the photo. This is what Photo Apps work with.
If I do a "Get Info" on a photo, it shows the title I put in under "name & extension" and the original title under "title."
In the case cited: Name and Extenrsion are the Filename - what the Finder sees. The Title is what iPhoto looks for.
Solution: Use iPhoto or any photo app to Title the Photos. If you're moving them from iPhoto on one machine when you export, be sure to tick the box at 'Titles and Descriptions'. That way when you import to the other iPhoto you'll get your title.

Virtual copies and using Description, or title etc to print

Never really use the text features in LR.
I've built a strip sheet to print. 4 strips with 4 versions (VIRTUAL COPIES) of the same image with different exposures.
I remember in the Print Module, you can add text. in this case I'd like to add the exposure (manually is fine) Example: NORMAL +1/3 +2/3 +1
So, this is a virtual copy problem.
It wont allow me to add the text to DESCRIPTION, Also, Under: Title, I can add say NORMAL, but that is the same for each image. Can't be individually labeled?
Is there anyway to label, title, description, etc, a series of the same Virtual Copies. Again, it would be great to print the actual exposure, but I'd be happy manually labeling the VC.
