Underlined hyperlinks

is there any way that i can do away with the underlining on the hyperlinks on any page? I found some simple style scripting that i added to the html code, but when i saved the page, the code changed and the links stayed underlined.
this is what i added into the HEAD section of the html:
<STYLE>
<!--
A{text-decoration:none}
-->
</STYLE>

Try adding this to your CSS:
a { text-decoration: none !important; }
This disables the underline for all links in your topic.

Willam

You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.

You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised the value of Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.

  • Can I get rid of the underlined hyperlink and just have roll-over links?

In iWeb 2009, can I get rid of the underlined hyperlink and just have roll-over links?

You have to put them on the server where you are publishing your site to. Where are you hosting your site? If it's a MobileMe account then you have two options:
1 - put the photos in a folder, name it "Pics" and put that folder in your iDisk/Pictures folder. Then use the following URL: http://homepage.mac.com/YourMMe_Account_Name/.Pictures/Pic/FileName (don't forget the period before Pictures).
2 - put the "Pics" folder with image files in your iDisk/Web/Sites folder and use the following URL: http://web.me.com/YourMMe_Account_Name/FileName.
If you're hosting on a 3rd party server it would depend on if you're using a domain name or not. I'm not familiar with 3rd party servers so Wyodor, Ethmoid or someone that is will need to point the way.

  • Underlined and not-underlined Hyperlinks

I want that most of my Hyperlinks are underlined (so I said this in the Stylesheet)
But there are some which should not be underlined
It´s possible to make them not-underlined with the little T - Symbole, but in the created chm its again underlined...
Hope you can help me, seems I´m too stupid to do this on my own...

    Hi,
The best solution is to use css. If one day you decide all your not-underlined hyperlinks should actually be underlined and need to be bright pink, you're in for some work. With styles, it's much easier. This will however, involve some manual css and html.
In your stylesheet, add the following line (behind any other hyperlink styles):
    a.regular { text-decoration: none; }
All hyperlinks with the class regular will not be underlined anymore. In your topic, go to the hyperlink that should not be underlined and go to html view. The links looks like this: My link. Now add class=”regular” to the link, so it looks like this:
    My link
Whenever you feel you want the links to have a different style (such as bright pink), simply change the css to adjust all your links at once.

  • In chrome I'm getting green double underline hyperlinks to ads.  How can I get rid of this without adding more junk to the computer?

I have both safari and chrome, because I'm used to chrome.  The only extension I have is Google docs.  I started getting green double underline hyperlinks to ads.  How can I get rid of this without adding more junk to the computer?  People suggest programs to do it, but how do I know they won't make it worse?
Is someone from Apple here and can answer?
    Thanks!

Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
    Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)

    /Library/Application Support/VSearch
    /System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
The problem may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. • How can I stop Mac Mail from underlining hyperlinks and changing them to blue?

How can I stop Mac Mail from underlining hyperlinks and changing them to blue?

It doesn't look like you can. But that's how you tell they are a hyperlink. Is this a problem?

  • How to underline hyperlinks?

Is there a way to underline hyperlinks?  It seems I'm able to underline any text except hyperlinks.

Strange really..... everybody come on asking  how to remove the underline on links!
Create your link,  - look  for the  "hyperlink"  in the styles draw - undeline your link - select the  Hyperlink  style open a drop down  menu  with the  little down pointer and  redfine the stye from the selection.
If its Apple normal  red -  you can  change the  font colour to what you prefer color as you apply the underline.

  • Creating Blue underlined Hyperlinks

I seem to understand the process of creating a hyperlink but I am having difficulties with the hyperlink appearing in either the InDesign document itself or the resulting pdf output with the right appearance. My hyperlinks work in the PDF document but they lack the blue underline associated with an active link. My options seem to Visible Rectangle or Invisible Rectangle. When selecting Visible Rectangle, I can't find any options other than Invert, Outline or Inset. Am I missing something real obvious here? (CS4 and CS5 are both problematic on this issue)
    Bob

    Hi Bob,
You will need to style your links in InDesign. You can do this relatively quickly by creating a character style which is blue with underline and then running a GREP find and replace to find all web links. See http://indesignsecrets.com/forum/general-indesign-topics/shortest-grep-pattern-to-address- urls-and-e-mail-addresses for some help. You can set the replace to your new character style.

  • Cannot change color or underline hyperlinks in iWeb

    Hi,
I've seen others post regarding this same issue, but there is no way I have been able to rectify the issue. For some reason when I try to change the color with the Inspector of my iWeb hyperlinks (as well as try to underline them), the Inspector shows that I have changed the color and underlined it, and it looks like it should on the page as I'm working on it, but when I publish it the colors and underline are not there. Any suggestions? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you in advance!
    C

    Hi,
I'm using Safari, I tried to find a place to change the colors on the page (using Safari) and I don't see where I would do that, but I'll keep trying.
I did try publishing to All to .Mac option but everytime I do that, I get a Publishing Error and so far I've tried deleting things to avoid that error (for example, it said that my photo albums were not publishing correctly, so I deleted them all, but now it's telling me my blog has a publishing error; this doesn't happen when I publish to .Mac, only when I publish All to .Mac. Make any sense? I'm completely confused) and the error keeps coming up. Ugh. Here's a link to my page, sorry it's boring, it's meant for the grandparents back home.
    http://web.mac.com/jaycherylbaker/Site/Welcome.html
Oh, and I'm also getting those text box lines on one or two of the pages. For some reason they weren't there a few days ago b/f I started messing with this. I wish I had left it all alone now instead of trying to get the hyperlinks in blue! LOL! Oh well!

  • Notes --- numbers with underline/hyperlink

The underline or hyperlink for the entered numbers in "Notes" App is random? It's so weird~~~~~ When I don't wanna it's a date, actually it is. When I wanna write a date, it is appeared "normal". How to control the format of numbers in "Notes" app? Please help.

I share it with windows users, ipad users and so on. So scripts don't work.
    Another idea:
I have a table with 3 columns. preambles (e.g. forms), subcategories (e.g. round) and examples (e.g. balls).
    preambles
    subcategories
    examples
    forms
    round
    ball, sun, orange
    square
    =function
I have another table in the same document. there are more information about the examples in table1.
    subject
    properties
    colour
    owner
    ball
    round
    green
    me
    cube
    square
    sun
    round
    orange
    round
    ice
    square
now, I like to fill in the subjects in table2 as examples in table 1 automatically. How?
with a function in the column "examples" in table 1. I need your help with that function. It should work like this:
I define the examples in table 2: e.g. "balls" are "round".
The function in table 1, column 3, line 2 searchs for "round" subjects in table2, column 2, line 2-5. All subjects with that propertie are written into the cell with the function: ball, sun, orange.
You know what I mean? Is that possible?

  • Keywords in website now underlined hyperlinks

In my website, my keywords now have become underlined and are pop-ups to other websites. How do you stop that? This is new. Never did this before.

Could be something connected to a browser-add-on.
Or the OP may have picked-up some Spyware or other malicious code from an infected website.  It's hard to know exactly because there are several such viruses floating around.

  • Microsoft Word 2008 for Mac - remove all hyperlinks in a table?

    Hello!
I'm using word 2008 with a table which I have populated with some wikipedia text.
Consequently some of the words are hyperlinked.
Now since it is a massive table, I'd rather not delete all these hyperlinks by hand.
Is there a method to select them and delete all the hyperlinked words [but retain the words themselves]
for example if the word says 'horse' in blue underlined hyperlink text, i would like to have it that the word 'horse' remains, but is no longer links to wikipedia's entry on horse
    thank you kindly

    Shenzi,
I think you may have better success posting to a MS Office for Mac forum. For example:

  • My Mac Pro shows all hyperlinks as full addresses how can i stop this

when i add a hyperlink to a document my Mac Pro shows it as a full address, not the underlined hyperlink title!
I have used the 'edit hyperlink option' to changed the 'display' but nothing happens
how can i stop the full url showing?
    thanks

Just as an FYI, upsate to 14.3.7... now to your problem:
In Word, I'm assuming that you're highlighting the text that you want to link to and using command-K to insert the hyperlink:
The hyperlink dialog box should look like this:
    Is that what you're seeing?

  • Text is becoming a Hyperlink when I don't want it to

I have been building a site in Muse for the past week or so. On one of my pages, I have a vimeo video linked, and underneath it, I have some text about the video. On this particular page, no matter what I do, the body text on the page is a hyperlink to the video. I thought maybe there was some code lurking it or something, since I copied it from my current website, so I even tried completely re-typing in Word and then copying it over, but it still is doing the same thing.
It looks terrible and tacky to have the body text be a blue, underlined hyperlink, so I would really like to get it fixed. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi
How exactly you are inserting the vimeo code in page , are you adding the text in same html insert window ?
Are you using Vimeo widget and then video ID , adding text frame under vimeo player ?
    Please share the page url.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • OpenDocument Prompts

BO webi 6.5 allows to link two reports (parent and target) using the openDocument syntax in a cell formula's. I have following 2 issues while trying it:
    1. Problem: The prompted values are not passed into the target document. The target (called document) opens by displaying the prompts screen for user to make a selection, when it should instead pass the value from the parent report. Pls see below the syntax I used. Can you pls indicate the fix to this problem
    2. Question: the syntax requires a "server name", but as the report is copied from server to server: Developmnet / Test / Production, this is inconveninet if the server name is hard-coded in the report: is there a function or system variable that can be used to return the server name?
    Syntax example from webi manual:
    ="<a href=\"http://l100beta2:8085/wijsp/scripts/
    openDocument.jsp?&iDocID=451&sDocName=eFashion%20Stores&sT
    ype=wid&sRepoType=Corporate&lsSState%20Equal%20to:="+[Stat
    e]"\">"[State]+"</a>"
My target report has 1 prompt, which displays the prompt text as "District Code". The syntax I use in the parent report:
    ="<a href=\"http://bbplkd118:8085/wijsp/scripts/openDocument.jsp?&;iDocID=469&sDocName=Inventory%20Value%20by%20District%20Location%20Detail%20(MSA17J)&amp;sType=wid&sRepoType=Corporate&amp;lsSDistrict%20Code="[District Code]"\">"[District Code]"</a>"
NOTE: PART OF THE TEXT ABOVE IS NOT DISPLAYED AS TEXT AS ENTERED; THE FORUM ALTERS THE LAST PART OF TEXT
All works ok except for the target report MSA17J opens by displaying the prompts selection window. I expected the report to open showing data refreshed and relevant for the "District Code" value passed in from parent report.
The parent report is at this time in my Personal Documents, and the target report is in Corporate documents.
The target report used a prompt on district, pre-defined in the Universe design. The sql view shows following code for the prompt:
    MSV000_DC0001_NAME.DSTRCT_CODE IN @Prompt('District Code','A','District Inventory Information\District Code',Multi,Free,Persistent,{''},) OR '' IN @Prompt('District Code','A','District Inventory Information\District Code',Multi,Free,Persistent,{'*'},)  )
MSA17J is saved with Refresh option set to 'Manually'

    RE: Dave R.
    1. the prompt is "single" not multi ; the target report MSA17J has only 1 prompt, called 'District Code", and I use following syntax:
    &lsSDistrict%20Code="+[District Code]+"\">"+[District Code]+"</a>"
    2. I don't know what BO will pass, just assume it's the data that is displyed in the report cell, which looks like 1054 and it's underlined (hyperlink) so it looks ok to me
    3. the data does not include spaces, it's a 4 digits character type, eg 1054
