Understanding FedEx Statuses

Can someone with knowledge of FedEx status updates explain this one to me? Note how the most RECENT status out of the ten status updates in this screenshot is "Shipment information sent to FedEx". Why would there be all of the "In Transit" and "Left Facility" updates first, and then finally followed by "Shipment information sent to FedEx"? Seems backward to me.

The multiple progress in the same city is when it goes into sorting bins/ staging areas.  Every time a FedEx box is moved it is monitored by the tracking number.  So for Example, I'll explain our shipment and hope it makes sense:
Sep 20, 2012 5:49 AM | Shipment information sent to FedEx <- Due to future delivery request tracking number renewed
Sep 20, 2012 2:19 AM | In transit  | MEMPHIS, TN <- Box placed in truck to go to sorting
Sep 20, 2012 2:12 AM | At local FedEx facility | MEMPHIS, TN <- Box arrived at staging
Sep 19, 2012 2:18 PM | In transit | MEMPHIS, TN <- Box moved from sorting to staging
Sep 19, 2012 2:12 PM | At local FedEx facility | MEMPHIS, TN <- Due to Future delivery date request sent to staging
Sep 19, 2012 2:09 PM | Arrived at FedEx location | MEMPHIS, TN <- Got off of truck (below) and went to sorting
Sep 19, 2012 1:50 PM | Left FedEx origin facility | MEMPHIS, TN <- Went from truck to another truck
Sep 19, 2012 10:27 AM | Picked up | MEMPHIS, TN | Future delivery requested  <- Left VZW Shipping Dept
It make more sense if you read from the bottom up.  Basically a package get scanned every time it moved/touched.  So in my case above it went from VZW shipping dept and went to a hub where they sort and distrubute, the kicker is the Future Delivery request.  So in this case instead of it continuing down the normal distribution pipes it goes to a holding area / staging area, this may be a large bin, room, or different warehouse.  So then it gets redistributed into the normal distribution pipeline the next day unless the future delivery request is still valid (it repeats it self until it is ready to go into the normal distribution pipeline).  So the last update "shipment information sent to FedEx" is the package renewing (or validating) to see if can continue through the normal distribution.
Hope this helps... I am a past UPS employee.

  • Report to understand exact status of FG

    Dear Experts,
    One question is going i my mind but still i have not found the solution. And it would be thankful to you if you clear my following doubts.
    I run the MRP and see the results in Md04 or md05, then i go to order report to know the exact status of the Finished goods that what all components required for preparing Finished goods are available in stock and what all components PR are generated and what all component PO are generated.
    This Report is fantastic, but the screen shows the status of only one finished goods at a time. How can i view the overall finished goods (say 500 to 600 nos of finished good) status in one screen.
    Experts Is it possible in standard SAP ?
    If possible then suggest me and if it is not possible then suggest some other alternative.
    Regards,

    31,
    600 Finished goods?  I wish I had it this easy when I was a planner.  I would never have had enough time to individually review all orders. I would typically be responsible for 10K-15K FGs materials, for which there were usually more that 8000 production orders for FGs and HALBs open at any given time.
    Most planners are only interested in exceptions.  They don't care how many purch reqs have been created.  They don't care which orders have sufficient parts in place.  They only care about (in order of priority)
    1. shortages
    2. late supply
    3. supply that should be cancelled
    and,if there is time left to research
    4, supply that will arrive too early.
    All these issues can be isolated and reviewed in MD06.

  • Understanding AirPort Status

    When you option-click the Airport/Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar, you get a display of various status parameters. For example, PHY Mode, BSSID, and of particular interest to me Transmit Rate (which I am assuming is the speed of the connection).
    Where are these parameters documented? Can't find anything in the documentation or online.

    Interestingly, Apple's own Apple AirPort Networks (although an excellent read) does not cover this in any detail, however, I would recommend the following title from Take Control eBooks: Take Control of Your 802.11n AirPort Network (2.0) which does.

  • Cant understand the status ! help please! I beg you

    in the repair status, what does "dispatch sent" mean?
    what indicates that my shuffle has arrived to the desired location?

    That means they've received your request for repair.
    Have you shipped your shuffle off yet? If so then it should change when they get it.
    If you are really curious to find out more about your specific case, you can call apple at 1-800-APL-CARE

  • Status of roles assigned in SU01

    Hi All, Need help to understand the status of a role and effect of user comparison on it... in SU01 assignment to a ID....Cases as below:
    1.Role assigned to the ID has expired....The color of the role I have noticed becomes red...why is it so? is it because the role had a new profile generated since the time role got expired in that user? or is it just because role has got expired and so it becomes red in SU01?
    And are roles and corresponding profiles which got expired removed from the ID automatically or just both role&profile left as it is with only the role turned red giving the text (User comparison required)...
    2.Role assigned to a ID with validity start date set as some date in future. Have seen that in this case too role becomes red after a day!! PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY runs..But why is it so??Why does it turn red?

    Hi,
    Role assigned to the ID has expired. the color of the role becomes red. This is because each role assigned to the user has a validity end period. once this date is crossed, the user will not have authorization to objects contained in the role. You can check more details in AGR_USERS table. there you will find that each role attached to a user has a start and end date.

    To know the Status code of a HTML page using Javascript

    Hello,
    I am not sure to understand, which status are you talking about? The HTTP Status?
    If your javscript is executed it is more or less sure that the HTTP Status is 200 since the request is back to the browser.
    or are you talking about this is in the context of a XMLHTTPRequest call ?

  • Status need to be change form PCNF to CNF

    Hi PP Gurus,
    In my project, we have orderwise confirmation. When the users do confirmation in CO15, they do it partially irrespective of the confirmed qty it may be equal or short. say for qty 10, they do partial confirmation for qty 10. Now when the order gets status change as TECO, then also system allow to do confirmation for the same oder of qty 10, as this is the natural behaviour of system to do posting against partial confirmations.
    So my requirement is , whether we can do status change in the order with TECO from PCNF to CNF?
    What procedure we need to follow? As per my understanding, the status of the order for posting, say PCN,CNF & DLV cannot be change in the order itself. Some posting related transaction must be happen on the order.
    Regards,
    Sandeep

    Dear ,
    What setupo did you keep for Stauts Id -I0045 in BS22 for TECO and business transtion ?? Please check it  if system is allowing the CNF  even you  set TECO in CO02 for production order .
    Here in BS22 , for TECO sttus , you have to mark Forbidden  in Business Tans which allow you to post confirmation .
    Select the Business Transaction RMRU (Confirm order) - It will be in Allowed status   and make it Forbidden
    Refer our earlier thread: posting date in CO11N

  • Collection query - software update compliance status

    Hi all,
    I am trying to create a collection to list the computers that reported as unknown state from a specific software update deployment.  The query statement is as follow,
    select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System  WHERE     SMS_R_System.ResourceID IN (
    SELECT        SMS_UpdateComplianceStatus.MachineID     FROM         SMS_UpdateComplianceStatus        JOIN SMS_UpdateDeploymentSummary
    ON SMS_UpdateComplianceStatus.CI_ID = SMS_UpdateDeploymentSummary.CI_ID     WHERE        SMS_UpdateComplianceStatus.Status = 0        AND SMS_UpdateDeploymentSummary.AssignmentName
    = "SUG_2013-00_All_FINAL")
    As far as I I understand, the status code 0 is unknown (I may be wrong on this one); 2 is non-compliant.  But the statement above does not return anything computers, while if I change SMS_UpdateComplianceStatus.Status = 2 and it returns the matched
    numbers as I run the compliance 7 report.
    Can you guys please take a look at this query statement and let me know the correct status number that I should punch in to return the computers that are unknown status.
    Thanks,
    Jimmy

    According to
    this post, you're right about value 0.  But if you look in the database at the v_Update_ComplianceStatus view, do you have any zeros?  I checked mine, and I don't - all 2's and 3's, so I wonder if you just don't have any in the table?

  • Adapcctl.sh exits with status 3

    Hi,
    I have upgraded the db from 9i to 10g on AIX server. While running the adstrtal.sh, the adapcctl.sh status exists with 3 and overall process exits with 1. The surprising part, I am able to login to apps and everything appears to be running fine.

  • Production order status CLSD, TECO

    Dear friends,
      What is the diffrence between  production order status CLSD and TECO?
    In what kind of situation should i enable these statuses to my production order?
    Thnanks
    Shri

    Hi Shri,
    Status TECO:
    Purpose/When:
              TECO, Technical Completion refers to an logical ending of Production Order from a Logistical point of view. This status we generally use if,
    1. The order is completely executed from the Logistics point
    2. If the order has to end prematurely for any reason and we wanted to have all the open requirements (Like Capacity & Material reservations) to be deleted.
    What it does:
              Once the order is given a status TECO, what system does is
    1. The order will not be considered for MRP planning and it will not appear in Stock Vs Requirements list (MD04)
    2. Capacity & Material reservations against the order gets deleted.
    3. Purchase requisations for Non stock materials & External operations gets deleted.
    4. The operations and the order header get TECO status.
    Followup after TECO status:
    1. You wont be able to make any further changes in the fields of the order even in change mode. However you will be able to revoke the TECO status.
    2. It can still allow to post confirmations or good movement and it allows all Finance and Controlling period end activites for the order.
    Status CLSD:
    Purpose/When:
         CLSD status refers to completion of all business activites for the order interms of Logistics and Finance and Controlling. This status is generally a prerequiste for an Production order  to be archived and deleted from the SAP database, also to have a control on the orders on which we do not want to have any further Cost posting. But for having a production order to CLSD status, certain Prerequisites have to be met.
    Prerequisites:
    1. The Order must have a TECO or REL status in it.
    2.  Open Purchase requisations & Purchase order with commitments to Production order should not exists
    3. There cannot be any future change records in terms of goods movement or confirmation errors in COGI.
    4. The order balance should be 0.
    What is does:
    1. It executes all the functions listed for TECO status if the order is in REL status.
    Followup after CLSD status:
    1. Goods Movement, Confirmation and Finance & Controlling cost postings to the order is not allowed.
    2. It will allow the order to be flagged for deletion.
    3. It will allow revoking of CLSD.
    Hope this helps you in understanding the status TECO & CLSD with respect to logistics.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Prasobh.

  • Maintenance order system status

    Hi Guys,
    Currently system status in maintenance order is not in sequence, so user is getting confused about the status. I have suggested for user status which is more precise to get to knwo the status, but they want the system status also updated to be in sequence so that they can look at the last status and update to whomever enquiring abt that, also they asked me to change the descriptiion of the order status. I think we can do that update in table "TJ02T" with the ABAP'ers help as I dont have acces to update the table, but tell me how I can make the system status to display it in sequence in maintenance order, anything we can control over configuration or we need developers help to update the functional module "STATUS_TEXT_EDIT".
    All your help are really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your advise. I have already talked ot them to use the user status in case of better understanding the status.The users are specific about the active status which means in each update of teh order they want the latest status to be listed in the top, but in maint. order after release once the goods movement is posted the release status is still listed top and then followed by goods posted status, also when you do time confirmation the confirmation status listed below release status and above goods posted status. Finally when you TECO the order the released staus is gone and TECO listed top which is fine but settlement rule created status listed at the bottom of the statuses which they dont want, they want teh active status should be listed in sequence every time order is get updated and they want to see what are steps order gone thru.
    If I define the user status profile and want to update automatically the user statuses when the updates are done, for example I have define the initial step as created and want to updated automatically to release status when order is released, same way for each updates, How we can do this is there anyway we can control thru config or we have go for development???? pls let me know the procedure. I have already created the user statuses with priority and assigned to order types.

  • Notification user Status

    Dear All,
    In notification we have applied a user status  with 4 user status
    1 initial
    2 checked
    3  reject
    4 done
    Our requirement is we should be able to apply either 2 or 3 .
    right now we are not able to go on 3 directly from 1
    and one more thing how release can be restricted with user status
    Thanks

    Hello Armaan,
    Check the status profile in status details button.Then go to TCode OIBS and open that particular status profile.
    Now mainatain "Lowest status number" as 1 in status 2,3 & 4 and you will be able to go to status 3 directly from 1 as per your requirement.
    I am giving you the example given by SAP for better understanding.
    Status A has status number 30 and the 'lowest status number' 10. Status B has status number 40 and the 'lowest status number' 20.
    Once status B was active for the object, only statuses with numbers 20 or higher may be activated, even if status A is currently active.
    However, if status B has never been active, statuses with status numbers 10 or higher may be activated if status A is currently active.
    Also release can be restricted in the same T Code  by providing the correct authorization code.
    Regards,
    Deepak

  • Is it possible to redirect in a filter After the doChain?

    Hello all,
    I have a filter configured...
      <filter>
        <filter-name>Hibernate Session Filter</filter-name>
        <filter-class>com.test.HibernateSessionFilter</filter-class>
      </filter>
      <filter-mapping>
        <filter-name>Hibernate Session Filter</filter-name>
        <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
        <dispatcher>REQUEST</dispatcher>
      </filter-mapping>... in my Web.xml file.
    I'm using this filter to implement the Hibernate "Session in View" notion. This is where a suitable interceptor (filter for me!) grabs the request /response on the way in and starts a hibernate session... then your servlets do whatever it is they do (which may/may not involve hibernate)... then on the way out the filter commits the transaction and closes the session.
    More can be read about this here...
    http://www.hibernate.org/43.html
    ... but the most interesting bit is really the filter itself:
    public class HibernateSessionRequestFilter implements Filter {
        private static Log log = LogFactory.getLog(HibernateSessionRequestFilter.class);
        private SessionFactory sf;
        public void doFilter(ServletRequest request,
                             ServletResponse response,
                             FilterChain chain)
                throws IOException, ServletException {
            try {
                log.debug("Starting a database transaction");
                sf.getCurrentSession().beginTransaction();
                // Call the next filter (continue request processing)
                chain.doFilter(request, response);
                // Commit and cleanup
                log.debug("Committing the database transaction");
                sf.getCurrentSession().getTransaction().commit();
            } catch (StaleObjectStateException staleEx) {
                log.error("This interceptor does not implement optimistic concurrency control!");
                log.error("Your application will not work until you add compensation actions!");
                // Rollback, close everything, possibly compensate for any permanent changes
                // during the conversation, and finally restart business conversation. Maybe
                // give the user of the application a chance to merge some of his work with
                // fresh data... what you do here depends on your applications design.
                throw staleEx;
            } catch (Throwable ex) {
                // Rollback only
                ex.printStackTrace();
                try {
                    if (sf.getCurrentSession().getTransaction().isActive()) {
                        log.debug("Trying to rollback database transaction after exception");
                        sf.getCurrentSession().getTransaction().rollback();
                } catch (Throwable rbEx) {
                    log.error("Could not rollback transaction after exception!", rbEx);
                // Let others handle it... maybe another interceptor for exceptions?
                throw new ServletException(ex);
        public void init(FilterConfig filterConfig) throws ServletException {
            log.debug("Initializing filter...");
            log.debug("Obtaining SessionFactory from static HibernateUtil singleton");
            sf = HibernateUtil.getSessionFactory();
        public void destroy() {}
    }This all works well except when there's a hibernate exception! When there is an exception I'd like to trap the error and redirect the user to an error page showing some text.. or do something informative. The comment in the sample code "// Let others handle it... " ain't very helpful!
    When I try to do a redirect/forward I get illegalStateExceptions (?because the response is already committed??) Is there some way I can manage the response being committed? I'm not very clear on how the header states/'response flush' actually happens. I've had a rummage here and see many similar posts, but they all seem to refer to redirection Before the doChain method... whereas I want to redirect after that method call.
    Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Nope! Not yet. I tried doing a simple ResponseWrapper (just to mess with the response output, inserting text here and there...
    import java.io.PrintWriter;
    import javax.servlet.ServletOutputStream;
    import javax.servlet.ServletRequest;
    import javax.servlet.ServletResponse;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponseWrapper;
    class HtmlResponseWrapper
    extends HttpServletResponseWrapper
      // A response must provide a PrintWriter and a ServletOutputStream.  So we
      // create new ones here, that uses our HtmlServletOutputStream instead of the
      // default ones...
      private PrintWriter printWriter;
      private HtmlServletOutputStream servletOutputStream;
      public HtmlResponseWrapper(
          ServletResponse servletResponse,
          ServletRequest request,
          String menuInsertMarker,
          String crumbInsertMarker)
      throws java.io.IOException
        // Run the constructor on HttpServletResponseWrapper
        super((HttpServletResponse) servletResponse);
        // Generate the appropriate ServletOutputStream/PrintWriter from the inbound
        // response...
        servletOutputStream = new HtmlServletOutputStream(
            servletResponse.getOutputStream(),
            request,
            menuInsertMarker,
            crumbInsertMarker);
        printWriter = new PrintWriter(servletOutputStream);
      public ServletOutputStream getOutputStream() throws java.io.IOException {
        return servletOutputStream;
      public PrintWriter getWriter() throws java.io.IOException {
        return printWriter;
    }... and that worked well. There's lots of examples of this kind of thing on the web. What I need to do now is understand when status changes, buffers get flushed etc. so I can override more than just the getOutputStream and getWriter methods, to keep my request alive until it gets back to the hibernate filter.
    Hoped to do it over Christmas... but maybe in the New Year!
    Once again - if anyone has any pointers - much appreciated!
    Rgds,
    T.

    Hello Robert,
    Here is the answers for the questions raised...
    1. I checked status schema ,understand distribution status is " To be distributed " in the sales order in CRM
    2.In R3ac1 ,standard document "SALESDOCUMENT " doesn't have the any filter setttings related to my transaction type.
    3.Mbdoc (Notification ) is generated in SMW01 with status " 001 " (Yello state),failed to reprocess the Bdocs.I coudn't able to find the Outbound queue in CRM for the corresponding order in CRM.
    4.I can see the Bdoc structure in the extended data in SMW01.
    Thanks.
