Undesired bullet pointed text automatically upon creating a new text box

Hi there! Due to the snow I'm working from home today but I have a little problem back in work that would be nice to get some help on before i go back hopefully tomorrow so i can continue at full speed!
I'm using Mac OS X (can't remember which version from the top of my head but something quite new!), and InDesign CS3. Basically, every time i create a new text box, or place an excel file into the document (having to do a lot of that at the moment, creating a price guide), it is in bullet point form, and although it's quite easy to go and turn it back off, with me having to do this quite a lot it's getting somewhat frustrating. It does it every single time i create a new text box even if i have turned it off for the previous one
I'm pretty sure this is going to be one of those "oh, you just need to..." problems with a really simple answer...i hope so anyway!

Thanks guys, i now seem to have a related problem at home. Here i am using CS2 but working on the same document as at work. I have made sure nothing is selected and set my character and paragraph styles to basic, and hey presto, when i create a text box, all is well. However, when i create a table, and i type in a cell, the bullets return! I have just discovered that turning them off in CS2 doesn't seem to be as simple as CS3 - so firstly - how do i do that?! And secondly - any ideas why it is happening but only in tables?!

Different contact options when creating a new text message

Hi all,
On my Q10, I have the following "issue":
When I want to type a new sms message to somebody listed in my contacts, I get not only the mobile phone number linked to that contact person but also e-mail addresses, fixed number...
Is there any way I can change a setting for this so that only mobile numbers are displayed while creating a new text message (SMS)? Fixed phone number and mail addresses are just not relevant.
On the other hand, when I want to create a new e-mail, I only see the mail addresses of my contact I am sending to.
In my blackberry HUB I have following account (most probably the reason why I see other contact details while creating new text messages):

I've not found a way to remove that additional contact information when composing an SMS.

If you want to rearrange images in random order you can try an AppleScript:
retrieve a list of selected images from Aperture
shuffe the list properly
create an album in Aperture and add the images from the list to the album (make sure that the album set to be orederd manually)
Here is a sample script that shuffles the selected images and displays them in random order in Full Screen Mode:

Hi Larry. I see. It is a file I have worked on previously, and the font is Myriad which I though came with the system. I just changed to Myriad Pro and the pink box disappeared. Thanks for the assistance, I know a new thing!

Pl see ML Doc 420518.1(Limitations of Forms Personalization) for a list of things you cannot do with personalization - among them is creating new form objects such as checkboxes.

I've deleted some contacts, but when I create a new text it will still suggest the deleted contact. I want that to stop.

Restoring should not be the only solution !
Apple should work on fixing this issue.
The option is available when u email,
A blue arrow appears and when u click it,
It asks if u want to remove it permanently
So i think the phone # after u send a sms/text
Should be able to be deleted at will.

Upon creating a new catalog, all files are renamed with a postfix: "-2"?

My catalog was corrupted, and i decided to create a new catalog from cratch.
To my big surprise alle falenames was renamed from IMG_xxxx.cr2 to IMG_xxxx-2.cr2. Why?
This is i problem sice i still god the old catalog, and try to recover some of the old editorial settings, but since alle files are renamed the are no longer visible in the old catalog. just about 15.000 files are renamed!

Lightroom only adds suffixes when it finds files of the same name in a location it's moving or copying too.
What option did you use on Import? Copy/Add/Move?

Why cant create a new text on my iphone 4?

Lightroom 5.4 backup hangs upon finish, relaunches new dialog box

Is this a bug? I have a recurring Lightroom 5.4 issue on quitting. I have it set up to backup catalog every week upon exit. When the time comes each week, the backup proceeds, but doesn't end -- it just hangs while a new, second dialog box asking to backup once again appears. Lightroom will not quit until i click on this new dialog box -- this happens each time I backup, no matter what my settings change to. Is it backing up twice, or once, or not at all? Why do I have to be present in order for the backup to actually finish? Please help!

Encore cs4 crashes upon creating a new file

I recently purchased the Production Premium CS4 and when I try to run Encore or Premiere Pro, when I make a new file the program will quit and give me an Adobe crash submit screen. I have tried chaging the sizes and types of the files I create, defragging the harddrive, reinstalling Encore and Premiere, installing updates, all to no success. Any help would be appreciated.

Usually, the problems with Roxio are in relation to its DLA (packet-writing) module and Encore "seeing" one's DVD drive. In a Custom Install, one can choose to not install this (plus a little indexing/cataloging module). Usually, just the necessary parts of Roxio do not cause that many problems. However, uninstalling it, to do a Custom Install, can pose a problem, as the little tentacles seem to reach everywhere.
I have the full DivX package on my workstation, and the CODEC's on my laptop. To date, they have played fine with Encore2, though I do NOT use any material that uses that/those CODEC(s) as Assets - only for my conversion program to convert to DV-AVI Type II for work in PrPro, and to Export to DivX for streaming (again in PrPro). Does not mean that a more recent version of Encore might not have a problem with it.
Now, many games love to "hook" various aspects of a computer system, when they are installed. This is to wring the most performance out of the computer. This would be an area that I'd look at very, very closely. One place to start would be any fora for the particular games, and also reviews on gaming sites, that test and report. Look for any comments about games that need to boost the performance of any sub-system on the computer. Back in the later DOS/early Windows days, I had a separate boot disc for almost every game, because each needed RAM, and graphics managed in special ways. Now, the system requirements are so very much greater, than way back then. Would be worth an investigation.
Wish I had a "magic bullet" for your problem, but only see things to qustion and nothing that screams out at me.

How to copy the bullet point format/style from MS Word to Pages?

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to make the swap from Mac Word to Pages but the one thing that frustrates me so much to the point of not using Pages is the bullet point system.
In Word the set spacings are exactly how I want them - whereas in Pages, everything is tighter - there is less space between the margin and the point, the point and the text etc.
I've painstakingly inserted all the spacings from Word into Pages and saved it as a "style" but it just reverts back to the default positioning when I open up a new document and select my saved style.
Any ideas / a magic tool to just copy the style from Word? It's such a shame because Pages is a much slicker programme than Word and I really want to use it but as a student, bullet points are my world.

Yeah I get the font and formatting for the text copied no problem when copying but I'm talking about from scratch in a new document, I insert a bullet point and even when selecting my saved style, it just reverts back to the default.
I agree, massive pain. It is the only thing stopping me from making the full switch now iCloud Drive is getting close to Dropbox.
Am I a misguided fool for thinking there's a patch or modification of some description that can copy the default bullet spacings from Word and create a new style following them in Pages?

Hi,
There is a special display variant in the item list for invoice reduction. You enter
the invoice quantities or values that differ to the quantities or values suggested by
the system separately into the item list. (You can only enter data in these fields
when you have flagged the item as Vendor error: reduce invoice).
When you post a reduced invoice, the system creates two accounting documents.
The first document contains the invoice postings with the actual quantities and
values. The second document contains a credit memo for the difference between
the actual quantities and values and the default quantities and values.
Therefore, with invoice reduction, you do not actually reduce an invoice. Instead,
you also post a credit memo for the amount of the reduction. The amount payable
to the vendor is the value of the invoice reduced by the credit memo amount.
The PO history is updated with the unchanged default values.
When you post an invoice reduction, the system creates a message record. You
can use this to send a letter of complaint (notification of credit memo posting)
to the vendor.

Creating a long text using ABAP code.. fm SAVE_TEXT

When you create an order via IW31 one of the options is to click on the text button and create a long text. I am basically trying to mimic this action from within my ABAP code.
The text id details are as follows:
Text Name       500000015000046 which is (5000000 + order number)
Language        EN
Text ID            KOPF         Order header text
Text Object      AUFK       Order text
If i manually create the text within the transaction i am then able to view and update it via function modules READ_TEXT and SAVE_TEXT. But if the text has not already been created READ_TEXT obviously returns nothing as it does not exist and SAVE_TEXT does not seem to created it!
Anyone know how i would go about creating this text using ABAP code?
