Undo deletes?

Is there a way to 'undo' deleting images from iPhoto? I've also emptied the trash, and deleted them from my camera! YIKES!!!!!

Restore from your back up? Or use a file recovery utility such as File Salvage.

  • Can you undo deleting a song/ file/ project ?

So I was about to export this song I just edited (it came out PERFECT) but when I tried to export via mail, it said I did not have space.  So I started to delete other songs and I forgot to uncheck the song i wanted to export and now it got deleted along with the others.  Is there a way to undo deleting a file?  I am really feeling down because it has my singer's vocals and we worked days on it ! please help!

Is there a way to undo deleting a file?
Only if you had made a backup of your iPad before you started to delete projects. Then you could restore the iPad from your most recent backup. Other than that, deleting is final.

  • Undo delete message command in Mail Exchange account doesn't work post Yosemite

Before I installed Yosemite on my MacBook Air, I was able to undo a message deleted in Mail Exchange 2010 account with menu command (Undo Delete Message) or Command-Z.  Even with recent updates to 10.10.1 which were supposed to address Mail-Exchange 2010 account issues, it does not work. I have to go into deleted messages and manually restore to Inbox.  Is anybody else having this problem?

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • Undo delete on Pages for iPhone?

    Hi,
    i just installed mountain lion.
Documents in the cloud is nice but:
If you delete a document from the cloud on your mac i will be in your local trash.
    but
if you delete it with your iphone its gone for ever.
Is there Undo delete on Pages or an other way to retreive a deleted document on the iphone.
Is the also backed up through timemachine ?
    Thanks, Chris

    Hi TM,
The sign on the door is a bit misleading, and you're not the first (or even the first today) to come to this Pages (Mac version) forum to ask a question about Pages for iOS.
Not many of us use iPad, so your question will be better served in the iWork for iOS community.
Actually, the question seems more of an OS question than a Pages one, as finding files is more of a System task than one done by the application. Unless you are searching within the Pages app, an even better place for your question would likely be the Using iPad community.
The two links will take you to the named community.

  • Undo Delete of Component Item in Work Order

In a maintenance work order it is possible to delete a component line item. The associated purchase requisition line item shows up with a deletion indicator.
Is it possible to undo the delete either on the work order or the requisition?
    Thanks,
    KF

    Hi King Fischer,
After you have released an Order, if you delete a Component or an Operation with Component and saved. You cannot re-set the deteltion Indicator.
By going to the path Edit --> Deletions --> On/Off. You can only see deleted entries but cannot re-set the same.
If you want, please input the line again.
Also please refer my post on the same previously

  • Undo deletion indicator - internal order

    Hello,
we need to undo the deletion indicator for couple of internal orders.
We have found the SAP note 191216. There is the program ZZSTATUSDEL offered for this purpose. Is the program applicable also for internal orders?
Because, within the program the selection is performed from the table VJAUFK, which does not contain any internal order.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Why don't you simply reset the flag via KO02 Edit - Deletion Flag - Undo?

  • Undo deleting rows in Editable ALV

    Hi All,
i have to check something (at event data_changed of cl_gui_alv_grid), after the user click delete row in an editable ALV. If any expression is true, then the deleted row should not be deleted, it should be undo.
Have anyone a idea to undo this deleting-function.
    Best regards
    Andreas

    hi,
SAP provides provision for overwriting the functionality of standard buttons displayed in the ALV. You have write a subroutine in which your code has to be executed. That subroutine will be executed during the runtime,
when a standard button has been clicked.
if you are using the function module to display the data, you have to pass the program name to I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM  ,subroutine name to I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND.  Refer below code.
    CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
    EXPORTING
    i_callback_program = sy-repid

    WITH KEY vbeln = wa_vbfa-vbelv
    posnr = wa_vbfa-posnn.
    IF sy-subrc = 0.
    CLEAR wa_del.
    MOVE wa_it_del_ful TO wa_del.
    APPEND wa_del TO it_del1.

  • Undo Delete after it says "cannot undo this delete."

How is this done for an audio file recorded and subsequently deleted in Logic? OS X Snow Leopard iMac, Logic 8, I deleted the wrong audio track (ouch) and it said "Cannot Undo this delete." Well, I need to undo this darned delete! Where is the file I deleted??? It must be on the drive somewhere.
How to recover it? Haven't closed this same session within the application yet.

If the deleted file was recorded since the opening of the project, it is erased from the drive. A dialog warned you about this.
If the recording took place before the current session, it's still in the Audio Bin.
In general, warnings about deletion, erasure and other non-trivial file management stuff are better taken seriously. If it says 'cannot undo this delete', this usually means it cannot undo this delete.

  • Undo Delete

Help!! I accidentally deleted all of my songs off my ipod while trying to get rid of some really bad ones. Is there any way for me to undo this delete or recover my songs?

Only if they (the songs) still exist on your PC or you have a backup.

  • How can i undo deleting all recent history?

I accidentently deleted all recent history when given instruction to only delete cookies and cache. Can i undo the information i deleted?

Which history items are you referring to?
The browsing history is stored in the places.sqlite file.
You can try to restore a previous version of the places.sqlite file if it is about history.

  • Undo deleted my file

I was trying to copy an alias of a file on a remote server. Accidently, I used Cmd-drag instead of Cmd-Option-drag. This just moved the file. So I hit Cmd-Z to Undo. Well, Undo removed the file from the new location, but it didn't put it back in the old location. The file is just gone. Unless someone knows where it might be hidden.
P.S. There's a backup somewhere but IT has to get involved and it could take days.

"nadandeo", a little bit late reply but hope you can still hear. ^^
If you have made a backup, you’re OK. (For those who don’t know, iTunes automatically makes a backup, when you connect your iPou touch to your PC/Laptop).
Without a backup, you CANNOT recover your lost notes, except with recovery software. Here’s a USERGUIDE: How to recover lost iPod NOTES. Do your research, but from experience I can tell you that this is the only way around it. In the future, always make backups. Better safe, than sorry.
Don't fall for anything people tell you , do your own research and check company reviews.

  • .DS_Store files undo delete command in Terminal

I was copying large quantities of files to a poorly formatted LaCie 3T external drive and kept coming up with interruptions in copying because the Finder kept "seeing" the creation of .DS_Store files. I researched and found a command for Terminal which stopped the OS from creating .DS_Store files. I restarted my laptop and sure enough, no more .DS files are being created.
I was then able to complete the massive transfer, I reformatted the drive, and returned all of the files to the 3T drive. Now everything's working alright.
My question is... How do I return the creation of .DS_Store files back to normal?
Can anyone drop me a line that I can insert into the terminal command line and get it done?
    Thanks in advance.

You know, I did that, and nothing happened. So I then decided to re-install M.L., and I'm now manufacturing .DS_Store files with abandon.
I've been reading that it's not a popular kind of file for folks, especially those who are working with variously formatted devices. There are some obscure advantages to having the files sit around the hard drive.
Thanks for your advice, however. It's good to know that I wasn't so far off.

  • Why can't I delete groups in my Address Book??

I'm running Mac OS 10.7.4 on an early 2011 15" MBP.
It's not a smart group and I don't use Microsoft Entourage.  I've tried the "delete" key (Fn + delete) and "Edit"->"Delete Group".  It gives me the prompt "Are you sure you want to delete the group 'blah'?"  Then when I hit the delete button, nothing happens.  At ALL!
Oh, well, something does happen: The edit menu shows "Undo delete group" for Command-Z.  And if I click it, I get another un-deletable copy of the original group.
    Help??  Anybody??

If an App is compatible with an iOS device it will not be compatible with the computer. They will require different versions of an App for the different Operatin Systems.

  • Any way to stop accidental deletion of events

I find is puzzling that it is necessary to double click an event and then click the edit button in order to change any aspect of an event, but you can easily delete an event by simply having it hi-lighted and hitting the backspace key. We have a shared calendar in the office and more than once people have accidentally deleted appointments.
Is there an add-on or a work around that will force iCal to throw up a confirmation warning before deleting the event or even a way to allow users to create and edit but not delete events?

    Mitchell Allen,
There is no workaround that I am aware of, but ICal>Edit>Undo Delete Event, menu command should be available immediately after an event is inadvertently deleted.
I suggest that you provide Apple - iCal - Feedback
    ;~)
