Undo doesn't undo in 7.2.1

Hi,
Since upgrading to 7.2.1, I noticed that when I did a "cut time and move by locators", and then did an undo, not everything is undone. It created havoc in my arrangement. Good thing I could revert to a save. Maybe this bug is only isolated to the "cut time and move" function. Anyone else?

Thanks for your post but I'm sure you're wrong. I can undo the "splice" function on a fresh autoload (hold down option and open a new song) with absolutely no problems until the point where I view track automation.
If you look at the Undo history, you can see the "splice" function show up as a undo-able step. Once I view track automation, and if I do the splice function the operation shows up as "in sequence - 1" or something else in the undo history but anything else but splice. I guess that's why I can't undo the splice as it's just registered as something else. It is a bug.
And this bug only showed up in 7.2 and onwards. The "cut time and move by locators" may be several processes but it sure as **** used to be just one "undo" to undo it all.

With the help of information from user, ptressel, in [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1032154#answer-673322 a post here about the existence of sessionstore.js when version 33 was released], I was able to easily recover my tabs and tab groups as follows:
# close Firefox and, perhaps, allow a few seconds (30s?) for any final closing of files;
# check to see if you have a sessionstore.js file in your profile folder, named like the one I documented in my original post above;
# if it is not timestamped prior to the discovery of your problem, open the sessionstore-backups folder;
# check if the recovery.js file is suitably timestamped and, if not, the recovery.bak.
# At this point, you are likely to find that none of them are prior to your problem occuring. If so, open your backups of this folder and go through steps 2-4 to find a file prior to your problem occuring.
# When you find a file, copy it to the root of your current profile folder and name it, "sessionstore.js"
# Open Firefox. Mine opened up as desired.
This is a Windows solution. Sorry I can't comment on other platforms, but I'd bet that as this is just a file copy and renaming, it is likely the same.
For Windows users, you may find you need to sign out and login as an administrator in order to access the backups. You need not logoff your standard account, but do have Firefox closed as described above.

for example: say i write a paragraph. then, in a weird some sort of way an involuntary gap suddenly appears between different letters of random words(i did not recognize any pattern to the gap appearing) throughout the entire paragraph. once i've double clicked on that paragraph, and made a minor change, lets say tapped a 'space' key, and then clicked ctrl+z to undo, it has aligned(or fixed) the entire paragraph and made it look ok again. i've tried numerous ways to undo the entire thing, but cannot find the reason. i've been working for a few years and there's no reason why this thing all of a sudden should happen right now.
if anyone has stumbled on something like that and can advise, i would welcome it.

if you look closely you'll see that almost every line has a single letter apart. in hebrew there is no usually a singe letter structured words.

Undo button indesign doesn't work

Hey guys,
I made a dossier in indesign (mac) for my design class and I worked over 24 hours on it.
Tomorrow, I have to hand it in, but then yesterday suddenly my SAVE, SAVE AS, and UNDO and REDO buttons didn't work anymore! So I let the laptop like it was and today I worked again on it,
but I accidentally deleated the wrong layer and now THE WHOLE DOSSIER IS DELEATED!
I can't undo it, because the button still doesn't work and I'm lucky that some hours ago, I exported the data as a PDF-file which thankfully worked, but there are still hours of hard work missing and now my project is not finished!
Can anyone help me? Please, I'm freaking out right now!!

No, you'll never get back any changes you made between the last save and the time the file was closed. If that was three hours work, that's unfortunate. My advice was simply a way for you to recover as much of your work as possible so you wouldn't need to start over from nothing.
Consider this as a good lesson in workflow habits. Save often, and I recommend doing a Save As with a new versioning name (I append a number) at each major change point where you are about to branchin a new direction. This gives you not only a set of backup files, but the ability to easily go back to a previous version and go in a new direction.
It's also good to develop the habit of hitting Cmd-Z (Ctrl-Z on Windows) for Undo immediately after you make a mistake, though it sounds like you actually tried to do this. File > Revert can be helpful too, if you've been saving right along.

CS5 "Undo" keyboard command doesn't work...

..after I enter a custom size in a document window, still continues. If I use "built in" size views w/ command + or -, everything is fine. As soon as I type in 52% or something in the window, command +z for "undo" does not respond. Only the redo/undo history pref's on the wheel on my wacom intuos4 functions for undo. It's not a random occurrence, but reliably repeatable on my system. Or is it only me?
This is kind of pain in the arse for my work flow... would like to troubleshoot, and get this solved. The offered up adobe temp app/script thingy(?) for 10.6.4 or .5(?) doesn't help. Thanks!

Thank goodness someone else has finally posted the exact problem I'm having. Not because I'm glad you're suffering Tim, but only because it lets me know I'm not alone! I've searched the net high and low for months looking for someone even having the same issue, let alone someone posting a fix.
The Undo function stops working for me from both in the drop down Edit menu and the keyboard shortcut as soon as I type in a custom zoom value for the document view. This interrupts my workflow to the point where I'm not even using PS CS5 until this problem is fixed. I'm using the entire CS5 suite + PS CS4.
Can anyone help?

Yep, it is fully updated. I¹ve already tried throwing away my preferences,
yet the ³undo² problem happened again. I¹ve re-started, repaired
permissions and etc. I should tell you that I can undo, just not with the
keyboard shortcut. Nor, when the shortcut problem comes up, will my mouse
scroll wheel make the contents of a palette go north and south. Another
weird thing that has happened once or twice is that the image thumbnails in
the layers palette have not displayed the mask, in both adjustment and image
layers, after I¹ve used a brush of any kind. Instead, the thumbnail of the
mask will look like the gray and white checkerboard that transparent layers
show. I can get the thumbnail mask to come back if I click several times on
adjacent thumbnails. It kind of seems that PS is running too slowly to
re-write the thumbnail immediately, which doesn¹t make sense because the
MacPro is a 2.93ghz eight core running 16gb of RAM. The file sizes I work
on vary from 30mb to 500mb or so not too huge, though I think the ones
that have the problems I¹ve described are on the larger side. I¹ve got it
set for 25 history states, which ought to be ok.
Another odd thing. I often have 2-4 images open at a time, and the problems
will only be happening to one of those images. On all the other images the
shortcuts, scroll wheel, thumbnails are all ok. Any ideas what the hell is
going on here?

Is Photoshop fully updated?
(boilerplate-text) As with all unexplainable Photoshop-problems you might try
trashing the prefs (after making sure all customized presets like Actions,
Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences
you¹ve changed) by pressing command-alt-shift on starting the program or
starting from a new user-account.
System Maintenance (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, running cron-scripts,
cleaning caches, etc.) might also be beneficial, Onyx has been recommended for
such tasks.

Weeding out bad fonts never seems to be a bad idea, either. (Validate your
fonts in Font Book and remove the bad ones.)
If 3rd party plug-ins are installed try disabling them to verify if one of

I suspect that you are saying that you can't download/install the latest version of iTunes.
All I can say is try removing and reinstalling the Apple software using the following:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
If you have further problems with installing Itunes I suggest you post in the iTunes forum since you have an iTunes problem, not an iPod problem. Also report the wording of any error messages. What they say is importent on resolving them.

Why doesn't undo work in garageband?

No idea if I'm in the right place, but here goes: undo doesn't work in GarageBand. I delete a track, click undo, and nothing happens. The track doesn't come back. Any idea what's going on?

10.0. I just checked again. Entered a new project, recorded just a bit of vocal snippet, deleted it, then tried to undo. Nothing happens. I'm clicking undo in the menu, and sometimes it seems like the screen flashes, but the track doesn't come back.

Firefox 12 doesn't load bookmarks in sidebar, home pages don't open, undo closed tab won't work.

Firefox 11 worked fine. Firefox 12 seemed to install too fast. Now, when opening Firefox, bookmarks don't load in sidebar, even though the top of the sidebar says "bookmarks." Home pages won't load on opening Firefox---only a new tab. Clicking on the little house icon opens the home pages. Display closed tabs icon is dark and Undo closed tabs won't work. Sometimes the toolbar with File, Edit, View etc goes so dark it virtually disappears. I have Vista OS. Reinstalling Firefox 12 didn't help. Is there a fix, or can I go back to Firefox 11?

Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

InDesign Undo doesn't work and text invisible

Hi,
there is a really annoying problem with InDesign files. I can only go 2 steps backwards, then 'undo' stops working.
At the same time, text I type in disappears and when I zoom out appears again. This is really hard to work with
and almost impossible to get a 100 page book layout done. Any hints, leads and solutions please send this way!
My software and OS are all up to date.

I solve this issue by deleting all preferences regarding to final cut X in
~/library/Application Support/final cut pro
~/library/Preferences/com.apple.FinalCut*
You can access these folder by following these steps
-open a new finder window
-select Go to Folder (Command + Shift + G) from the Go to menu, type in this window "~/library/"
How I discovered the solve of this issue...
I did a clean installation of lion and install all software and all nice! but... when I restore my user from time machine the problem appear again.... Them I assume that is a problem coming from upgrade to lion from snow leopard with final cut pro x installed...

Undo delete message command in Mail Exchange account doesn't work post Yosemite

Before I installed Yosemite on my MacBook Air, I was able to undo a message deleted in Mail Exchange 2010 account with menu command (Undo Delete Message) or Command-Z. Even with recent updates to 10.10.1 which were supposed to address Mail-Exchange 2010 account issues, it does not work. I have to go into deleted messages and manually restore to Inbox. Is anybody else having this problem?

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

i clicked on the box for you to save my sign in and password for my yahoo ,ail account. I no longer want that because more people use my computer and everytime i go to my home page of yahoo, it automatically signs me in. Undo/redo menu doesn't work on runtime

I am using a custom real-time menu. I have included the application
functions of Undo and Redo as well as copy/cut/paste. The menu works
fine when I run the vi in development mode; but when I build an exe
using the application builder, undo and redo do not appear on the menu
bar. The other menu items are there and work as expected.
Does anyone know how to get around this problem? Any help is
appreciated.

I have the exact same problem. I am using LabVIEW 8.2, when I am in development mode the Undo/Redo work fine, if I build an executable the Undo/Redo options do not show. In the executable if I type ctrl+z, the control gets populated with zzz.
I am not even doing a fancy menu. I am using the "minimal" menu option.
I am attaching a sample vi and the exe I did to show the problem.
I hope someone can help and I don't have to wait 9 years. The previous post is from 2000!!!
