I would add, that you have to shake the phone in all directions. First I've tried shaking only to the left and right and was about to say it don't work ... before posting I've tried again shaking up and down also ... yes it does work!

Ctrl+Z does not work in Forms 11g on Windows (undo function)

In Oracle Forms 11g on Windows, the undo function, ctrl+Z does not work as it did in Forms 6i.
The ctrl+C and ctrl+V (copy/paste) work fine.
I looked into the Forms key mapping resource file and no solution there.

I'm not sure what functionality you believe you had previously, but UNDO does not have any automatic functionality built-in. This is clearly explained in the Builder Online Help. Here is some of that text. Notice carefully what it says about "Undo":

"Undefined Function Key. Press Ctrl+F1..." Porting app from 6i to 10G

I am running into a problem porting my application from Oracle Forms 6i to 10G. When I am querying a record based on a field that is not the first on the screen, I get an "Undefined Function Key. Press Ctrl+F1 for list of valid keys." error. I do not get the error using the same function keys from the first field on the screen. I also do not get the error if I click into another field (besides the one I an querying) before hitting my execute query key.
I did some research, and found a fix that seems to work. I can add a WHEN_MOUSE_CLICKED trigger to the form and put in the following:
Go_Item(:System.Mouse_Item);
That seems to fix the issue. My problem is that I have close to 400 forms to upgrade. I would like to avoid adding this manually to every single form. I have looked into libraries, but I can't seem to figure out how to replicate a WHEN_MOUSE_CLICKED trigger using procedures. I was wondering if there was a way to use the Forms upgrade utility to add this trigger to every form it converts. Does anyone know if that can be done?

I'm not sure this solves the problem. This would call the trigger, but the trigger does not currently exist. I would still have to manually create the trigger in all 400 (or so) forms. Is there a way to add it in a more global way?

Can I "save as PDF" in iOS like I can with Mac OSX?

Is there a way to "save as PDF" in iOS? The functionality I need is available in Mac OSX through all print dialogs I've ever seen, like it is part of Mac OSX. I can't seem to duplicate this functionality in iOS, even with the addition of 3rd party apps.
Any suggestions? Is there a way to submit enhancement requests for Apple to consider in future updates?
All help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not built-in to iOS, but there are a few apps that say that they can convert documents or web pages to PDFs (not that I've got any of them) - I just did a search for 'convert to pdf' in the store and got a few hits.

I opened a dynamic input schedule in the Apshell appset. I entered a data in one of the cells, the color of the cell changes (due to the format range). I pressed ctrl + z. However, it didnt remove the data.
I removed the formatrange option. Now when i press ctrl + z, it works perfectly.

Air-Play functionality on IOS 8

Can you tell me, is it possible to revert from IOS 8.1.3 back to IOS 7 ?
With IOS 7 it was possible to stream a movie on the iphone and play it through the apple TV. Once playing, you could then come out of the browser and leave it playing while you used other apps.
The Air play functionality with IOS 8 is primitive in comparison ! Often, only the sound casts to the TV and if you do get the picture cast too, if you come out of the browser to read a text or such, it stops playing.
Please tell me there is a way to revert to IOS 7 ?
IOS 8 has ruined the Apple TV experience when used in conjunction with iphone!

With IOS 7, when you played a video in the browser there was a button in the bottom right window which gave you the option to play it on Apple TV. This button has now been removed and you must bring up the menu first. Select apple TV, then drop down the menu again. Seems like a step backwards having to perform a number of additional steps to perform the same function. Particularly when it appears to cause problems playing content.
I am blaming IOS 8 as there were never any problems with IOS 7. Now there are numerous issues with it.

I have noticed an issue with utilizing the “stream” function on iOS 7. If you choose to just stream the movie by hitting the play button it seems to actually start downloading (which is fine) but if you are say halfway thru the movie and stop you can clearly see that storage has been reduced under the usage, yet under the “videos” tab it still states “No Data” the only way to delete what you have partially downloaded is to fully download the video, which is fine but there is no way to tell what videos have been partially downloaded (I.e which occurs a lot when your child switches between movies using the so called “stream” function). This becomes troublesome once the capacity of the ipad is almost met and you have no way to delete this data since you may have several videos that have started to be viewed (hence partially downloaded). Apple needs to somehow make it truly streaming or provide an update so the storage can be managed. The only way I have been able to remove partially downloaded videos is by doing a total software restore. (The video data that is in question when connected to my MacBook shows up in iTunes as “other”) if you have any insight into this issue it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

IMO opendns is either doing this on purpose (unlikely) or they're under some sort of attack/being used to attack the specific torrent sites although I'm open to other explanations. I believe using the automatic setting for DNS is using my own ISP's DNS servers (which again, work fine... but still...)

Normally they don't. You might have some sort of problem on your system, possibly a conflict with other software, or corrupt ID prefs or application. Trashing the prefs is easy, and good place to start: Replace Your Preferences
It will help if you tell us the OS version, whther you've installed the 8.0.1 patch, and how you are trying to access the commands, and what happens when you do. Is this isolated to one file, or does it happen with all files?

Undo-function not works :-(

I've just lost a few hours of work with FCPX, because the undo-Fuktion was suddenly not available anymore, what reason ever...
So I had to close FCPX (what I had to allready 5 times this morning, because FCPX got stucked) and when I reopened it, all the changes I made were gone.
Do I have to start from the beginning again, or is there an explanation for the temporary disappearance of the UNDO-function?
Or is FCPX at the moment still in a Beta-Version?

Not to worry. Once Apple has completed the Alpha testing phase with the early adopters and begins Beta testing on FCP X, they might decide to fix many of those issues in some future release.

Keychain Access needs a prompt and undo function

I just inadvertently deleted years worth of passwords from Keychain. I meant to delete just one. Most applications have a prompt and/or undo function. Keychain should as well. It contains some of our most important information. My two cents.

Undo() function... need advice

Hi. in couple of days I have to start writing program in which has to be Undo() function (and it's service functions), that function as my lecturer says, have to be able do all undo operations from the start of the program. One of suggestions was to save all data to files after any change. maybe it is a little more human way to do that???
Or it is the only way to save all informacion after any act in program and with undo() function only to load that data back???

in case of runing out of disc is necessary, really data will be up to 1Mb(but I don't think it would reach these 1Mb), and programn is only for showing to the lecturer what and how you done program.
main program purpose is to do it with variable socketed list, use it(write data in/out, from/to file and to show it in program window and else), do some operations with that list, make and use undo() function

Please Help! How Undo functionality can be Created for curves or Line in Swing GUI. In the Java Tutorial, Undo with Text is given. But on implementing the SIMILAR logic of Undo with Text, some Errors come with Undo is to be Created on Swing GUI on the Graphics.

What about storing the image before to execute the drawing method ? Undoing would be as easy as repainting the stored image ?

Cannot save files or use the undo function in InDesign CC

As of this morning, I am not able to save files or use the Undo function in InDesign CC. Tried many fixes but nothing has worked. I have a ton of work to get done today -- any solutions for this???

Im viewing this thread because its just happened to me again... my solution is below.
Im currently running the latest version of indesign cc (9.2.1) on my brand new 13" macbook pro. (OSX 10.9.4)
As noted earlier in this thread, when this happens, before you give up and close in frustration, EXPORT the file as IDML, and your all good!
Ive had this issue on several occasions using Indesign CC since October. Here are my 2 'Usual Suspects' when this occurs:
1. culprit: SUITCASE FUSION 5 – deactivate 'auto activation' from within Indesign Prefs. In some cases, i didn't even restart Indesign (much less my computer) for this to work.
(menu: INDESIGN/PREFERENCES/ SUITCASE FUSION 5 AUTO ACTIVATION PREFS (bottom of submenu list) Uncheck the top box, 'Auto Activate....')
Im assuming this was rechecked to auto-activate after an update. Hasn't happened in a while—but sure enough, the auto-activate box was checked again.
Its a pain having to manually-activate fonts, but its alot easier than redoing a bunch of work!
2. culprit: CRASH PLAN (online backup)– actually, ive seen this happen with a couple of backup programs. I don't know that this is for sure an issue, but it did resolve the saving issue earlier this year. I just pause backup for a few hours, then resume. Seems to be ok.
Steps i took:
Quit Indesign CC (AFTER EXPORTING the file as IDML!)
Pause backup within CrashPlan.
Restart Indesign CC.

Considering IE browser page as an object, U can use Serialization where u can save that object.(i.e state of the object) And then when u open it thru de-serialization, u can restore the page/object .
