Undo has bad behavior

Why does Mail's Edit->Undo functionality work so poorly? It used to work just as I would expect it to. (Before Leopard? before 10.5.7? I don't remember.) Far worse is that Edit->Redo doesn't actually restore the message to where it was before executing Edit->Undo!
Previous functionality: I think Undo sent back to the last time I had typed the delete key. (Or it went word by word, but maybe I'm just thinking of Microsoft Word.) Maybe it went back to the last return key pressed, too. Not sure. But it really made good sense.
Current functionality: Goes back some amazingly large number of key presses, including delete keys, etc. It's terrible, never what I want.
Is there any way to get back the previous functionality? And/or is it just my Mac's problem?

Please make Photoshop's "step backward" command maintain current layer selection (like the "undo" command's behavior). So that when using the "step backward" to undo something it doesn't unnecessarily select a different layer . The current "step backward" layer change issue is inconvenient because it causes unnexpected layer selection change.

Has this happened yet ( an upgrade that fixes the step back layer switch problem ) in any updates?

BAD BEHAVIOR

Came in this morning to find 40 emails from last night never sent.
Why? Because in its vaunted wisdom, Verizon decided that one of my completely innocent emails was 'spam'.
OK, fair enough, even though your algorithm must be completely brain-dead.
So what did it do? Shut down sending all my OTHER emails.
That's completely stupid, folks.
And it didn't have the courtesy to email me that it had done this, so I went on assuming my system was functioning normally.
These stupid proclivities of the emailing system are BUSINESS DAMAGING AND UNACCEPTABLE.

Naw. Was a single message with probably some trigger word in the subject
line.
Incidentally, my OTHER ISP has no trouble with most of what Verizon buggers
up.

I get error message 'attachment has bad format id' when I'm try to sent a attachment in hotmail.com started when I upgraded to mac os x version 10.7

Try removing spaces from the filename - that worked fine for me. Seems like one of the penalties of using Hotmail...

My exported 2015 iMovie file has bad quality.

I just got a new MacBook pro, OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. Using iMovie 10.0.7 (the latest version to my knowledge.)
I realize that this question has been beaten to death all over the internet, but I haven't made any headway STILL. I just completed an edit that looks AMAZING in iMovie, and when I export it, the file is very distorted. I'm exporting at the highest quality (1080p) and the file ends up being 8GB (8 minute movie) which I would think a big file like that would produce good quality.
I'm stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It almost seems like a framework bug. I get the feelling that the framework is getting maxed out with this form, and acting weird in all kinds of ways. But we are not really seeing any errors in all the logs.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

In my production environment I have a v880 server. While I was trying to replace a bad disk I had the
message: metadb: oradb1: has bad master block on device, when I ran the metadb -a -f -c3 /dev/dsk/c1t1d0s5
I can not find any information on the internet. Also, I have seen the thread https://community.oracle.com/thread/1918834, which is very old.
According to the thread I have to split all the submirrors and create the mirrors again. That is very difficult for me to do it, because I have mounted volumes.
Any ideas?

OK - after talking with a very knowledgable/helpful guy in Sun's storage group, the problem is solved. It turned out that since the new disk had a different DevID, the mirror did not get correctly restored. The solution was to do the following (note: d23 is the slice where I was trying to create the state db):
# metaclear d23
# metadb -a -c 2 c1t11d0s7
# metattach d3 d23
He also referred me to doc 73132

if it has a bad imei there is no way to clear it, you can attempt to call your carrier if you havent already done so to see if there is a way to confirm that the imei you have is the correct one to get it of the black list but this is an attempt not sure if they can do it

I have flushed my cache, cookies, history with no benefit! I have also, as I am now, started FF in safe mode band EVEN in SAFE MODE, with EVERYTHING disabled, I still get the bizzare responses and the left tab is still back.

Yes, I am still having problems. I tried to load in the online site for my bank, Navy Federal Credit Union. I got the old "server not found" BS. I did as you suggested and executed a SHIFTED Reload and that worked, at least in the since that I was able to get the opening page.
However, when I went to sign on, the trouble appeared. Similar to the failed logons and recycling sign ons that I had seen on Yahoo and a few other sites, WHEN I logged onto NFCU's page (they have an unusual three part logon), as soon as I sign on I am IMMEDIATELY told I have "timed out" on the session and am kicked off. Theres a problem with my computer. Ive recently got a program to tell my Hard Drive's health. when I opened it it sayed this:
The Program is: Hard Disk Sentinel
Its saying my computer's hard drive has 53 Days to live?
And the health is bad? By the way I have a Compaq Presario CQ57 Notebook PC.
I take good care of my computer and most of the time it stays at my desk.
Is this true? Is this fake? Will I have to replace it?

There is no way to know exactly when a hard drive may fail. The software most likely relies on S.M.A.R.T. data to try to predict when a failure may occur.
