Undo typing box pops up
up ever since upgrading to 8.0, I've had the "undo typing" box pop up on occasion. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it pops up constantly when I'm trying to type! It's **** annoying!!!
Is someone ever going to address this issue?
Attached is a jpeg of the box that pops up when I conduct search, I now notice it is when I am searching again after an initial search has already been conducted, and I am changing the terms. The page greys out and I get the pop up box below.

Hold down on the area that you want to select until a blue line appears. Tap on it again and another pop up appears with the options to select, select all or paste. If you select all, all of the copy on the page or within the text block in which it was created will be highlighted in blue. An option to cut, copy or place appears. Two blue vertical lines will be on both ends of the text block. You can select the blue dot on one of those lines and drag it to select exactly the text that you want to manipulate.
If you choose select - then blue lines will be on either side of that word only. You get the cut, copy, paste or replace options. You can once again drag the lines with the blue dots to select text. If you drag the line to select more text, you get the cut, copy or paste options.
Cut is self explanatory, copy will put that text in the invisible iPad clipboard and you can select another area in your document in which to paste that copy or you can paste into any other document or field that will accept text. Replace is when the iPad will auto correct a word from it's dictionary if the word you have typed does not "make sense" to the iPad. -
Strange spell-checking Wikipedia/dictionary/Google box pops up in text boxes
I'm not really sure how to describe this... if I'm typing in a text box such as the one I'm using to type this - this has happened on Tumblr and AOL Mail most frequently - occasionally, and seemingly randomly, a box will pop up on the right side of the text box. It's almost like another frame overlaying the inside of the text box... I tried to get it to pop up purposefully so I could take a screenshot but every time I managed it I accidentally clicked inside the text box and the mysterious box disappeared.
The box seems to be some sort of dictionary service. Sometimes it shows links to Wikipedia or Google, and sometimes it shows a dictionary site that I can't remember the name of but have never heard of otherwise.
When the box pops up, after I click back inside the text box and it goes away, everything seems normal, but if you look at the sent message, it'll have this text at the bottom, as if it's an artifact the mystery box left behind:

The box seems to pop up when I double click on a word or something of the likes. As I said, I couldn't quite figure out how to make it show up on purpose.
I don't have any plugins installed that I think would do this, and I'm most definitely spyware and adware free. I've had this popping up in Firefox for a VERY long time now.
As I was typing this out, I took a little Tumblr break and the box popped up. However, I've typed out plenty of long e-mails without the box popping up just due to random happenstance. I really don't know what causes it to show up, it seems to be a keystroke or a certain way of clicking but as I said I can't seem to make it happen on purpose.
I know I can't be the only person who has this happening, as I can Google the artifact it leaves behind (all the names of the search engines and such) and see that other people have accidentally posted it as well, leading me to believe the box popped up for them and left that text behind and they did not realize it happened. (You don't realize it happens before you hit the post button because that text does not show up until the post has actually been sent through.) -
Ipad error "undo typing" keeps coming up
My Ipad keeps giving me the following error: " undo typing / cancel", not all e time, no app in particular. Any suggestions?
That occurs when you are typing in a text field and if you shake the iPad. It's normal behavior. it really takes a pretty good shake though for it to pop up, at least on my iPad it does. If you think it is happening too frequently, reboot your iPad and see if that helps.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
How can I disable a pop up box that appears whenever I tap a cell in numbers for ios? This annoying feature accompanied the last upgrade. When I tap a cell to highlight it, a box pops up with all the words typed in the adjacent cells so I can populate the cell with one of them, but I neither need nor want the suggestions.

I don't know where to find the setting in Numbers for iOS, but in Numbers for Mac OS X it is under Menu > Numbers > Preferences > General > Editing.
Show suggestions when editing table cells.
As you can see, I don't use it.

While watching a video on Youtube the screen went to a blank, grey screen with the back/play/forward control and an error messagebox containing two rows: the top read "undo typing", the bottom "cancel". All other functions appear to be working fine except the browser - it locks on this screen. I touch the error box and nothing happens.

I have a packardbell laptop with photoshop elements 8 installed from new. I have used it on several occasions but I cannot get it to run now. When I open a photo using elements the Adobe box pops up saying that the programme has unexpectedley quit? can anyone help me please as I have several photos to edit before the end of this month. The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check. -
I have been trying to save a document in illustrator and every time I try to, a dialog box pops up and says the following- Can't save the illustration. You do not have enough access privileges. id: -5000....This has been happening ever since I switched to CC and whenever I try to save something in indesign, I get a dialog box that says that my file is corrupt. The email that iTunes wants me to sign into is my mums which is weird because my mum has never touched my ipod so i don't why iTunes is asking me to sign into her account.
I've tried finding ways to change it but i can't seam to.
Another thing is that when i download an app, iTunes manages to get the email right and the box pops up with my email account and not my mums.
Please help me change this because i cannot update my apps.

- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

- Go to settings>Store and sign out and sign into your account.

I am trying to connect Garritan Personal Symphony to Logic Express and Garageband. A dialog box pops up and asks for plugin Garritan-P. Where do I find it and what do I do with it. I can't locate this plugin doing searches on any of the porgrams.

I am trying to open iTunes on my mac. But a box pops up saying "The folder iTunes is on a locked disk or you do not have write permissions for this folder". Anyone know what that means? I've had my computer 2 years and its never had a problem opening it
I've already right-clicked on the application, clicked "get info", and changed it so all people listed in the "Sharing & Permissions" section have the "read & write" privilage.
The error message is referring to your iTunes library, not your iTunes application.
You need to check and fix the permissions of the iTunes folder in your iTunes library. This is by default located in your "Music" folder.
Select the folder Music > iTunes in the Finder, right click on it or Ctrl Click and click "Get Info". At the bottom of the contextual window thatwill pop up, disclose the Sharing and Permissions brick, change your status from Read only to Read & Write. You may need to click the padlock icon to make changes. -
When I click on the Mozilla Firefox icon a grey rectangular box pops up that says: "We're sorry, Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your windows and tabs when it restarts. No you will not lose your content reinstalling iTunes.
Do this:
1: Download and run the Registry Cleaner of the free Ccleaner.

First, let me say I have the latest version of Firefox and Adobe Flash Player and Java Script. When I click to play Words With Friends (on pc) my computer starts racing and sounds loud and every thing freezes. If I try to click on slider or anything else, it says Mozilla Firefox (not responding), then it takes several minutes and a box pops up that says something about a script, do I want to continue or ?(I can't remember), after I click continue, I can play the game, but, at any given time Firefox will stop responding again!! A box also pops up from AVG saying that Firefox is using too much memory. Just an aside, I can play Scrabble on Facebook without any problems whatsoever. Please help, it is driving me crazy. Thanks
Sounds that you are missing the plugin that is used to play those videos embedded in Firefox.<br />
Your system details list doesn't show any media player plugin, so you will either have to check if the plugin(s) are installed, but disabled or install missing plugins.

You may need the new WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll) because Flash always uses a dedicated player to play the videos and would never offer to save videos directly unless an extension is used.
