UNDOTBS still has same size after reboot

Dear all,
Please advice.
the undotbs has 5Gb. it's been used at 95% . after a database rebooted . should
the undotbs goes down to 0% or to a lower number.instead when the database was up.
the percentage was still 95% there was no jobs running at that time.
Is it normal or something else was wrong.
Regards,

Thanks Anantha,
it's a good link.

Please if someone could explain as the retention was set to 900(15Mins) but the tuned_undoretention was upto 264Mins . was that because undo_management=AUTO

  • A3 library has increased size after upgrade

    Hi ,
After I did an upgrade to A3 my library has really increased the size from 80gb to 320gb, can someone please help me on this?
is there something I have done wrong?
    Thanks in advance.

As mentioned down-thread, let Aperture run for four or five days. On your MPB that means screen open, plugged in, Aperture loaded, and no auto-sleep. Make Aperture the current application before going to bed and let it run all night.
If you still are having problems, go through the usual Aperture first-aid:
    http://documentation.apple.com/en/aperture/usermanual/index.html#chapter=26%26se ction=10%26tasks=true
You could repair and rebuild you Library first. No harm done that way. Rebuilding will take several (many?) hours.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

  • Font size won´t stay the same size after I save the form

    Hello!
I need to set up a form with fonts sized 15.5, 9.5 and 7.5px.
Acrobat allows those sizes but once I save the file the form I´m filling has sizes 16, 10 and 8.
Is there any way to solve this issue?

    Hi,
    I have had this problem.
It seems that iChat is more sensitive to small breaks in the network link. Web Browsers and Mail just don't show them as they make new connections each time they download mail or change pages.
If wireless try it wired for elimination purposes.
Check the time any DHCP server renews the leases.

  • Internet still the same speed after 3 days

    Hello
I have read on the forum that it can take upto 10 days for the IP profile to raise in line with the sync speed of my new broadband connection. The documentation that comes with the router though says that after three days i should see an increase. From day 1 the router was connected for 3 days 18 hours but i had to move the router a day ago so not a continuous connection unfortunately! BB has been active since last Tuesday. • HT2188 Phone displaying iTunes music sign & USB cord, tried to complete recovery mode and still showing same thing after

Iphone displaying music sign and USB cord a box pops up iTunes has detected an Iphone in recovery mode You must restroe this Iphone before it can be used w/iTunes...did that 3 different times and still no results...

Might your iPhone have been jailbroken?  Sounds like it's "bricked".  It will be a paperweight if so.

  • Disabled User, Mobile-Device (Active Sync) still has Access 24h after disabling Account

    Hello,
    i encountered following issue:
I disabled an User in AD, but the mobile devices of the corresponding User still had access even 24h after disabling the account (iphone 5s, Blackberry Q10). My predecessor was known to abuse some access rights (suspicious gpos, phantom users with way to
    many rights, private folder access...).
    Our System: Windows 2008 R2 + Exchange 2010 SP3
Are there any hidden settings (in Exchange powershell, ADSI-Settings etc...) to extend the access-validity of mobile devices?
Or is this a normal behaviour?
    Thank you and best regards,
    Georg

The best way to stop a user from accessing their email via a mobile device when the account is going to be disabled is to go to their account and remove Active Sync from their mailbox.  To do so, go to Recipient Configuration, Mailboxes, properties
of the user, Mailbox Features and disable Exchange ActiveSync.  then disable the user.  Force Active Directory replication as well. Then the disabled user should no longer have access.   You can even remove device partnerships or wipe their
    device as well.

  • How can I get my new mac to open same programs after reboot

I now have a new imac with 10.6.7
Is there any way like a pc to have it open the same programs and files as it had open before like windows does with windows updates. I need this mainly for my browsers and tabs and mike outlook 2011 email.

In Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, not yet released to non-developers, this may be achieved with this new functionality:
    Resume
Resume in Lion allows users to restore your app exactly where they were prior to logging out or restarting. Apps that were last running launch automatically and all open document windows return to where they were. The system automatically manages apps and conserves resources by closing apps that are not being used.

  • HT1551 My iTunes music library disappear from my AppleTv 1rst generation, and would not accept it back. The Video part works find, but the Music part does not. I reseted to Original factory settings, but still has same problem. Any body has any suggestion

I have a 1rst generation Apple TV and My Music disappear; after trying several times trying to get My Music back, I opted by resetting it back to Original settings with no avail. The video part is find, all my movies are there, but when it comes to the Music nothing shows up.
Does anybody know what could be happening here and have any suggestions how fix it ?

So, when you go to Devices->AppleTVname->Music in the left panel of iTuens, you have:
    1. "Sync music" checked
    2. Either "All songs and playlists" or "Selected playlists" plus actual playlists selected
    Correct?
And of course, in those actual playlists, there is music?
Is htis iTMS purchased music, or mp3's?

  • My iTunes Match still has not finished after 3 1/2 days and step 3's total number keeps changing, Why?

So I finally broke down and subscribled to iTunes Match just to see how it is and if it would be worth it to me.  well right now im about to wig out because its been 4 days and i still have not gotten past step 3 on the proccesing...now to itunes match's defense, or iMatch as ive seen it called, i do have an emense itunes library of movies, tv shows, podcas, ringtones, and music (somewhere around 15,000 total) so I knew it would take a while, but 3 days?!  And thats not even the problem, thats just a little grip I have cuz now I can't access my music on my iphone almost everything is greyed out.... i gould a back door to it where if i shuffle the album and skip to the song i want then that will work BUT! thats too much of a hassl!
Ok enough ******** cuz ima sit here just to see how long it takes and report back.  Now for the real question.... I want to know that in all this waiting why does step 3 where it uploads artwork and remaining songs total number keep changing, i.e. :
this is the screen ive seen for the last 3 full days, and the total items uploaded keeps changing yesturday it said 1500 of 7000
so is it updating the number as it uploads them or what? It's confusing but im trying to give it a chance.

                                                                      *Update*
ok so day 4-5 and im still not finished with the inital iMatch process.... BUT i found out that nothing was wrong its just taking for freakin ever. oh well at least i only got 1000 more to go....

  • IMac Still Has Video Problems after Upgrade

I did the firmware and software upgrade to my iMac, which was supposed to fix the video problem, however the problem continues. I am using OS 10.4.11. My computer never "froze" however the screen went haywire. I would have to do a soft restart (if I could find the restart dropdown window) or I would have to do a hard restart. Now I can do a screen refresh to do a soft restart.
Is Apple aware the these Intel iMacs are a POS? I use it for 3D design and I can't work more than 10 minutes before my screen starts going wacko. I've used Macs since 1985 and this is the first POS Mac i've owned. I don't want to have to get another computer, I can't afford it.
Any others out there with the same problem? Any solutions?
    Thanks

I like AppleCare, as you get three years of that unlimited phone support. I know many consider it just another extended warranty, but note it can be legitimately purchased at a discount.
Amazon, retail computer stores, also a number of sellers abound online and on eBay, and a price mentioned by someone else on here two years ago that hasn't changed since then - check out L. A. Computer Company, online - you might be surprised!

  • Installing Itunes 6 renders computer dead after reboot

Meant to post this long ago. Was just going to walk away and forget it but someone bought my daughters an iPod so I’m going to try again…
(Possible solution at the end of my rant)
19-Oct-05 about 11:00pm I installed itunes 6. The install went fine and prompted to reboot at the end. I said no. A few minutes later I rebooted.
The computer hung on reboot at the windows is starting up logo screen.
I reset and tried safe mode with networking this hung at the text startup screen.
I reset and tried safe mode this hung at the text startup screen also.
I tried last known good configuration and this too hung
I tried all the other options and all of them hung at either the logo or text startup screen.
I got the windows2000 install CD and tried to repair. The first time I ran repair it seemed to check the disk and did nothing else. Still had hang after reboot. Then I tried manual repair console. This allowed me to look around and see that the files were OK. Chkdsk showed no problems. I looked for log files but found none with anything interesting. I suspected that the problem was with a driver so I looked in system32\drivers. I couldn't tell which drivers were just added because the files would have the time they were built not the time installed.
I rebooted many times with no luck.
I tried the windows install CD again. This time repair offered to replace all the files that were different from the install media and I took this option. Still had hang problem after reboot. Tried safe mode and a few other options.
Searched the web (from another computer) and found only one mention of a similar problem but it was about iTunes 4.1
I tried repair console again and this time (thanks to the windows repair) there were only a few drivers with dates in 2005. I renamed two
    - mmc_2k.sys
    - GEARAspiWDM.sys
This time booting into safe mode worked. Restarted and tried normal boot and this worked also. Now the computer reboots but I have hours of work ahead to reinstall all the windows updates. I tried to uninstall iTunes but it failed because now an old version of windows installer (MSI) is installed. I’ll spare you the details of getting the OS and all my software to work again. (It took days)
I wanted to find out which driver was the real problem. Renamed the two drivers back to the original names.
    Got hang on restart again.
Using repair console renamed just GEARAspiWDM.sys and system rebooted fine. So GEARAspiWDM.sys must be the problem.
To sum up: GEARAspiWDM.sys bad. If this happens to you try deleting this file from WINNT\system32\drivers. If I had known this I could have saved myself the trouble caused by doing the full system repair.
Disclaimer: This worked for me but I don’t know if it will work for you.
What I wonder is why couldn’t Apple tell me and everyone else about this problem and how to fix it?

  • HT1435 very low battery warning..new battery..still reads same.have left plugged in for hours,nothing .?

Older 5th gen 30 gb. worked fine when i bought it used.was set up for mac before I received it. battery warning light came on..but wouldnt recharge. so I replaced the battery and still reads same messgae after repeatedly trying to charge it. ??

No, it does not matter if it was previously used with a Mac.  That's just a matter of the hard drive disk format being used.  It just gets reformatted during a Restore.
It sounds like the problem is more than just the battery not charging.  At the very least, you need it to complete a Restore.  Try putting into Disk Mode
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1363
Optionally, shut down your computer and disconnect all of your USB devices.  Start up with only standard keyboard and mouse connected.
Run iTunes and connect iPod to a direct USB on computer.  If the iPod's battery is too low to put into Disk Mode while disconnected, connect it first, then try to put it into Disk Mode.  If iTunes sees the iPod in Disk Mode, it may say something about "recovery" and prompt you to do a Restore.
