  • Adobe Production Premium CS6 on Mac?

    Hello,
I am preparing to make the switch to Mac from my current Windows platform, and I have been doing some research. I found under the system requirements for Adobe Production Premium CS6 that:
    Mac OS X v10.6.8 or v10.7
So does this mean that my package will not work on the new OS X 9, Mavericks and eventually Yosemite? Or is this just a lack of updates on Adobe's website?

    Thanks much,

  • Errors (DW050 DW063 DF027) installing Production Premium CS6 on Mac

I really don't want to return this to Adobe, but if I can't install it, it's realy useless.  Looking for some way to get it installed.  Does anyone have a procedure that is reliable on the Mac?
I've looked at the instructions and recommendations in the forums describing permissions and directories.
To get to a clean baseline, I cleaned out all previous instances of Adobe installations, applications, files and directories - there were several versions dating back to CS3.
Attempted to install Production Premium CS6.
Got the following screen from installer:
    Summary text follows:

This is not the answer for me - and for others.
There seems to be a problem with Production Premium CS6 Installation on Snow Leopard - Mac OS X 10.6.8.  Could someone at Adobe try this and/or report anecdotally that anyone has seen it work?
From a much more comprehensive thread describing the same issue at http://forums.adobe.com/message/5450038#5450038
    All,
Some things I did (with failed installations after each step):
Executed the list of suggested "answer" fixes referenced in this thread
Completely uninstalled all Adobe products (including CS5 Master Collection and Acrobat X Pro - even the Flash Player)
Used Disk Utility to reset all privileges on the drive to its recommended state
Manually set privileges on virtually the entire disk to Read/Write/Execute for Everyone
Was on chat for 2 hours with Adobe Tech support - they took control of the machine and were trying similar things
I haven't returned the Suite yet and honestly, I would still like a workaround.

  • Production Premium CS6 license transfer to a new PC

I would like to retire my old iMac and purchase a newer model. Especially using Production Premium CS6 as my old iMac is really struggling to process and render. I am currently running a student license version of Production Premium CS6 and a full license version of Design Standard CS6. Could I transfer these licenses to a new iMac?
    Thanks for your help
    Lloyd Wright

    Hi Lloyd Wright,
You need not worry about the license transfer as both the platforms are MAC OS.
Just make sure that you deactivate the programs before you install the products on the new machine.
To deactivate launch any program from the suite & go to Help>Deactivate.
    Thanks

  • How do you install CS6 Production Premium on a MAC?

I purchased CS6 Production Premium from JourneyEd Academic software. The software only seems to be a Windows version.
JourneyEd will not issue a RMA number and claims it can be installed on a MAC.
They said contact Adobe for help. How do I install it or can it be returned to Adobe for exhange??

Do you have a serial number?  For CS6 Production Premium there is only a Windows version or Mac version there is not a multi-platform version available for Education customers.  Equally you will be unable to use the Windows serial number with a Mac installer.
If you have received your serial number already then you can request a platform swap by following the steps listed in Order product | Platform, language swap - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/order-product-platform-language-swap.htm l.

  • Photoshop version with Production Premium CS6

Hi! I have Production Premium CS6 - student/teacher edition. I teach a video communications course at my school.
Everything I have read online indicates that production premium should include Photoshop Extended. I know I have accessed the 3D menu in the past, so I know I had extended. But today when I went to use Photoshop's 3D menu, it was gone. I realized that I have the non-extended version of PS. I'm not sure if something happened the last time I reformatted our machines or what. Thanks for the help!
    Steve

This could be anything from a licensing issue to a technical problem with your graphics driver. 3D requires proper hardware acceleration features to be available. If you installed a new graphics driver, undo that and get the version used before. If it's a licensing issue, reinstalling the program may fix things. For anything else we would need much more detailed info like system specs and otehr details.

  • Can't find the English version of Production Premium CS6

    Hi,
I purchased Production Premium CS6 last year and have all the proper paperwork & numbers.  I installed it on my desktop and now want to load it on my laptop.  I looked at the Adobe download site but there's on a French version.  I need it in English.
Would you please send me the site?
    Thank you!!!!

  • I am getting photshop file error while opening the project. I am using Adobe production premium CS6.

    Hi,
I have try to open one comp file in After effects and i am getting an following error for linked PSD,
After that i have tried to open that PSD file in photoshop and i am getting an following error,
I am using Adobe production premium CS6. Could you please anyone faced this problem or provide some solution regarding this.
    Thanks in advance :-)

I have the same suspicions as Szalam.  This Photoshop file was probably made in the creative cloud version.  You need to get one backsaved to CS6.  The backsave shouldn't be a problem.

  • I cancelled my Creative Cloud and now my Production Premium CS6 won't work!

When I cancelled the Creative Cloud membership by phone, I informed the Adobe rep that I intended to use our Production Premium CS6 suite instead (which we have had longer than CC.  Now I can't open anything in my CS6 suite.  It's treating it as if it was installed with CC - which it was not.  They both have the same login email address.

You can try signing with different Adobe ID .
or  if you wish to sign in using same email ID , try and follow below steps :
    Windows:
Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.
    appdata
Then navigate to Local>Adobe>OOBE. Open OOBE folder and delete opm.db file.
    Mac:
    1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To" Folder option.
      2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( Do not miss ~ symbol)
    ~/library
3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe>OOBE. Open OOBE folder and delete opm.db file.
Then try to activate Production Premium.
Still face same issue , try clearing SLCache Contents.
In Windows , first enable Hidden Files and folders view, because most of the files will be hidden by default.
    Open C:drive and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and locate SLCache folder and move all its contents to backup folder on Desktop . make sure SLCache is empty .
Then try to activate Production Premium.
    Mac :
    1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To" Folder option.
      2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.
    ~/library
    3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe.
    Under Adobe folder
locate SLCache folder and move all its contents to backup folder on Desktop . make sure SLCache is empty .
Then try to activate Production Premium.
If the subscription is not completely removed , sometimes it will still recognize Cancelled CC subscription and prompts error .
You can check by signing in with different Adobe ID.

  • Production Premium CS6 Purchase Enquiry

    Hi,
I have been told by a prolific user of Adobe products that you can purchase CS6 products by paying monthly, rather that paying the whole lump up front.  Can someone please confirm this, as I am unable to find the answer on the Adobe website.
Also, I bought the full version Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 a couple of years ago for something like £650 - do I qualify for any kind of upgrade deal or money off of Production Premium CS6?
    Thanks,
    Tom 'TX' Welham.

  • Windows 10 and Production Premium CS6 ?

Is it possible to upgrade from Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bits to Windows 10 with these products :
    Production Premium CS6 ?
    With Photoshop Lighroom 5 ?
    With Acrobat XI Standard ?
    With Dreamweaver CS6 ?

    On behalf of Adobe ...
At this point, we do not even have full specifications for Windows 10 at Adobe and I am not even sure Microsoft has finalized same. As such, we cannot give you any assurances of what Adobe applications and versions of same will run well or run at all under Windows 10. The issues that may come up will likely be in the areas of HiDPI screen support, installers, etc. What I can assure you of is that it is exceptionally unlikely that there would updates to any CS6 applications at this point since those applications are now two releases back from the current releases.
If you are doing production work, we would most strongly advise that you avoid Windows 10 until it is released and that if you migrate to Windows 10 and/or new hardware, especially HiDPI screens, assume that you may need to also move to the Creative Cloud versions of the CS6 applications and whatever Lightroom or Acrobat version is standard at that time.

The individual file has become corrupted somehow.
Happens often to users who work across a network, opening or saving a Photoshop image file to a server.
You're going to have to resort to your backup.
This is the boilerplate text often used in connection to saving to a network (please NOTE the part where it explains that normally, it does work, but that it is impossible to troubleshoot someone else's network remotely, and that's why it's not supported by Adobe):
If you are opening files over a network or saving them to a network server, please cease and desist immediately in the event you are currently experiencing problems with one or more files. Working across a network is not supported.
    See:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406793.html
Copy the CLOSED file from your server to your local hard disk, work on it, save it again to your local hard disk, close it, and copy the closed file back to the server.
Of course, the fact that Adobe does not support working across a network does not necessarily mean it won't work.   It should.
Adobe's position is that there are too many variables in a network environment for them to guarantee that everything will work correctly in every network, especially given the fact that if something does not work properly, it's probably the network's fault, and Adobe has no way of troubleshooting your network.
If you can't work locally, you are on your own, and if something happens, you're on your own. If you must work from a server, make sure your network administrator is a competent professional.
When problems arise, a lot of valuable work can be lost.

  • Install Issue Production Premium CS6

    Hello,
I am reinstalling my Adobe Production Premium CS6 suite. Each time I try to install, Prelude CS6 is left out and cannot install. I am reinstalling due to corruption from a failing HDD. This is the second time I will have reinstalled this suite. I have tried well over ten times to get this suite to install correctly, with each time failing. I have tried #1-3 on the Errors "Exit Code: 6," "Exit Code: 7" | CS5, CS5.5, with no success. When I reach #4, my error is not listed in the list here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/835/cpsid_83574.html.
A copy of my error log after the install has finished:
    Exit Code: 6
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR: DF012, DR012 ...

I have but no clue as to why it does this, and I cannot seem to get it. The first time I installed the suite, I had no issues. Now though, I'm baffled.
Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Installing Production Premium CS6 - Prelude failed - exit code 6

    Hi
Is this the official method for reporting installation problems of new applications?
I have just installed Production Premium CS6 - I received an error message at the end (see below) that Prelude failed to install - All other apps installed ok
Can anyone help or direct me to where I should be asking this question

    Hi Jeff,
I contacted adobe support chat. I had installed on drive K to keep programs from the main o/s drive. TThe tech support chap said I should install always on drive C to avoid the errors.
I dont understand why this hould be, but i did it and all ok now - no errors.
I wonder why the install program gives you the option of installing on any disk when you can only use the o/s disk
    Thanks
