Uneditable full-width bitmap images

Under what settings does Captivate record the state change of various UI elements, like the depression of buttons and the checking of check boxes, as additional narrow, full-width bitmap slices which are not editable or localizable?
For new recordings, it looks like creation of these slices can be avoided by deselecting Record keystrokes in the Recording > Settings category in Edit > Preferences or in Record/Create > New Project > Settings. Is this correct and a known issue?
Has anyone any insight on how to avoid these uneditable full-width bitmap images? The goal is to have a single background that can be localized so they are a major headache and I'd like to know how they can be avoided. Thanks.

I'm complelely baffled.  The only bitmap you should have is the background.  If you haven't solved your problem, send me your file or a representative slide or two so I can take a look. Sounds like gremlins in the Print Screen key.

    @iamDK,
    Thanks for the response. I am familiar with Pinning and Slideshow Widgets and have been using Muse since it's inception, what I don't understand after watching one of the videos in which Terry White mentions FullScreen or Browser Width using the Slideshow widget and as Jason Bibby at the top also mentions, I have not had any success using any of the SS Widgets again to acheive this effect. Pinning the SS Widget to the top of the Browser does just that and does not stretch images within it to fill the Browser Width even if you get inside the widget to expand an image so that it snaps to the edge of the Browser still does not do it regardless of weather its pinned or not.
    I've had to jump into DW to get this done - in combination to using Fluid Grid, which I had rather not but so far so good, at least its responsive and not having to create twice in the case of Muse. I love Muse for its simplicity, being able to whip up pretty much any design in no time is sweet, but having a SS that stretches Browser width is a common trend and I'd like to see it integrated into Muse and if it can be done now as the video shows then how?
    If you know how to do this in Muse could you please show us how?
    Kind regards,
    Kelvin

  • Full Width Image/Slider

    Hi everyone,
    I'm having some problems using the full width option in relation to height.
    I want my image to adjust to both height and width as per the top image/slider following Adobe Muse Site of the day website - Home
    At present the width of my image adjusts perfectly on different browsers, but the height just cuts out part of the image rather than increasing it's size. The images I am using are more than adequate in size to adjust to even the largest of resolutions.
    Since the above Adobe Muse created site manages to achieve responsive height and width I was wondering how this is achievable?
    Thank you

    Can someone tell me how one would go about getting some customer support from Adobe?

  • Centering a full width image in Adobe Muse

    Can anyone help.  I am trying to centre a full width image in adobe muse but I am getting nowhere!  I am trying to keep the center of the image in the middle of the browser no matter what the browser width.  I am using the image as a fill in a full width box and have tried centering it using the fill options (top centre) and using the align (central ) tool for the box but neither seem to work.  My page can be viewed at

    Any help would be much appreciated

    To add images press CTRL+D and then select the image and place it where you want.
    To hyperlink it go to the top menu and there should be Hyperlink folowed by a box. Enter your URL to link in there.
    You can also use the slideshow widget should you want to make a slideshow.

  • How do I make a placed image the full width of the browser?

    Hi, I've tried adding the image as the browser fill only to have it shuffling all other placed objects out of wack.
    I've also tried having it as a placed object but, when I preview in browser I can't seem to be able to get it the full which of the screen.
    my website is 1000 px wide, the image I'm trying to place in it is 5147x2668

    Thanks for the response Vivek,
    Tried that but no joy, it seems I've tried everything I can think of. I tried setting the the image as a browser fill. Very confused. It actually seems to be something to do with the page width or something. Using your method I successfully got the menu bar and the 100% width placed image the same width (previously they were different width's), but my whole site, when previewed just isnt the width of the browser. I must say I'm lost, I've tried changing the site properties (page width, margins etc.) I'm new to Muse but have studied it quite thoroughly over the last 6 weeks. Now I'm ready to build my site I seem to have tripped at the first hurdle here's a screenshot of what I'm getting when veiwed in a browser, as you can see it's all a bit shrunk down:
    and what I'm seeing in Muse's design page:

  • Insert Image with full width

    Hello,
    I'm trying to insert a full-width image (like a header, or a graphic cover, footers and stuff) but no matter the size I make the image on Photoshop, it always shrinks when I insert it in Adobe Acrobat XI
    I know I can drag and make it full-width, but then I loose a lot of graphic quality in the process. Is there a way to disable the auto-resizer when adding new images?
    Thanks!

    Actually if I'm not mistaken, the pixels do matter, but the relation between pixels/size are determined by the DPI you set to the image.
    My PDF file is 110 DPI (110 pixels per inch), and the images I do in Adobe Fireworks are 110 DPI as well.
    No matter the size I do the images, they always get resized to about 70% of the page's full width.
    I'll take some screenshots of the process and post them here
    Here:
    Creating the image (21cm wide (100% of pdf's width), 3cm height.. 110 dpi)
    Adding it to the PDF trough the Tools menu bar (right side)
    The output... A image with 70% of the PDF's width, where it should be 100%
    And as you can see, the PDF's DPI is set to 110, the same as the image
    So I can only conclude that Acrobat is resizing my images, maybe to fit the margins or something, and I would like to disable that :]

  • How can I create an adaptable full-width site with sliding parallax panel?

    Hi guys!
    I have to create a web site with a full-width resolution, adaptable with any monitor and resolution using some panels that moves using the parallax scroll-motion with a sliding effects.
    For example I nedd a site like "collecdiv.com" that works with the same effects and with an adaptable full-widht size page.
    Here's some screen I take of my site with a 22" 1920x1080 resolution and a 15" 1280x1024.
    The 4 tab I want to see in full width and in scroll motion parallax: four with a resolution of 22" and the other four with a resolution of 15" (the screen are made with paint to let you see what is the problem)
    In the first tab there's a slideshow widget with some photo, in the other tabs there's a rectangular form with an image fill... I have to see the same layout that I see in my 22" monitor, in other smaller or bigger monitor (like 15") just like in the "collecdiv.com" website... The Dimension of my muse file is 960px width
    How can i resolve the problem? How can I fix the screen so anyone else can see my site without problem and with all the resolution?
    Who can help me? PLEASE
    Thanks in advice
    Francesco
    P.S.: an advise... check the site "www.collecdiv.com" to see what I nedd

    I'm adding this screenshot so you can understand the problem... The 4 tab I want to see in full width and in scroll motion parallax: four with a resolution of 22" and the other four with a resolution of 15" (the screen are made with paint to let you see what is the problem)

  • How to create a full page background image that is fluid?

    I'm creating a website for my portfolio, and one of the things I wanted to have is a full page background image that the div tags are in.  I know there is a way to put it in via page properties, but that doesn't allow you to add CSS styles and I want the image to re-size with window changes.  This requires putting the image in a div tag, but then it pushes the other div tags (such as my header section and navigation) so that they aren't over the image like I want.  Is there a way to push the image div tag to the back so that the other div tags go over it.
    I'm using HTML5, and it will also be a responsive design, but the fluid background is only for desktops.
    I don't go on the adobe website often, so if you have an answer to this, or need more information to figure it out please email me at [email protected] and you'll get a faster reply than on this forum.
    Thank you everyone for your help.

    You should set this forum to email you on a reply.
    I don't have a link in your question to determine how you are trying to do this, but here's a technique I have used:
    Take a look at this website and see if it doesn't have what you are trying to do. You'll see the flag in the background and I have used opacity in the layers on top of it to keep the flag somewhat visible.
    Now, what the flag does not do is re-size itself with the viewport (the browser window). But the flag is in a div that sits on top of the body. My code is accessible, but you're looking for the flag div and it's defined in CSS thusly:
    #flag {
              width: 100%;
              background-image: url("../images/polish-flag.png");
              background-repeat: no-repeat;
              min-height: 900px;
    Now, CSS3 adds a new attribute you can apply to the background image thusly:
         background-size: 100% 100%;
    That would make your background fill the viewport.
    I chose to not do that, because I was worried about versions of Internet Exploder before 10.

  • Content in the page not displaying in full width

    Hello everyone,
    We have a EP 2004s SR1 Portal with customized framework page and display theme.
    When logged on to the protal, the first page(say home page) was displaying by leaving some width at right of that page (approximately the width is equal to scroll bar width). For remaining pages this is not the case...it is displaying properly i.e displaying with full width covered.
    and one more thing is, this is happending in Production and QA machines...For Development machine it is working fine.
    Could any one help me in this...
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Sunil Chiluveru

    In your style.css on line 187 you have this.  Remove the max-width.
    .section > .content {
        background-image: url('../images/frame/contentBg.png');
        max-width: 800px;
        padding: 4%;
        text-align: justify;
        color: #646462;
        overflow: auto;

  • Full width headers

    hello,
    i know this should be basic but i have a full screen slideshow and i need a header bar and footer bar top & bottom of the screen.
    the header and footer will not stretch full width only the width of the page.
    the header did at first but only when "sticky footer" was unchecked until i added the footer and need it to stay at the bottom.t know what to do
    any help would be appreciated as i am on deadline
    i'm sure it's a simple fix but just unsure how to fix it
    thanks

    In previous releases you could "Snap" the edges of a div (box) to the sides of the gray-outermost area of the stage. This would "Snap it to Full screen width". That still works. But, I think your problem is that the item you want to scale, is an image. So, make a new div (box) and then place your image inside it as a "background fill" re-stretch the box to the sides, or click on the new "100% Width" layout feature. You should get the results you were looking for.

    Hi all, did anyone of you have this problem that I am encountering? My site www.west-coast-equine.ie loads perfect but when using the anchor based menu the full width fill of the background pics shifts to the left. Would appreciate some input and thank you in advance

    I believe the issue is resolved ? As i can check on my end and dont see the same behavior you have mentioned with full width images.

  • Full Width Composition Slideshow

    I know you can have a slideshow that is full width but I want a slideshow with Targets, not thumbnails, which I normally use a Composition.  But when I select the Composition the Full Width button is not available.  Is this a future feature?  Is there a work around?

    Is there a work around for creating a full width composition.  I'd like to use it as a slide show with individual click throughs.
    I've done it by oversizing the images, but its not great.....Home Technology Design & Consultancy Services, Living Home Tech, design and install home automation solutions including …
    If only the full width button worked with compositions...
    Do you know if this is on the list to be looked at?
    Thanks.

    forumnotifier Help with using Adobe Muse CC

    Hi Jim
    I just thought of something you may want to check. First,
    press the Windows key (if you have a keyboard equipped with one of
    these) and the letter D. The goal is to display the desktop. Then
    right click and select Properties. Click the settings tab, followed
    by the Advanced button and finally the General tab. Compare the
    setting here between working and non-working PCs.
    Hopefully this will help some... Rick

  • Full width web page?

    I have created and have up and running a great website (www.i-drone.co.uk)that i created with iWeb. However, the webpage is not the full width of the page? is there a way of making use of the full width of the page, without the bars either side?
    Thanks

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can increase the width of the content portion of the page with the Inspector/Page/Layout pane:
    Click to view full size
    However, the theme that you choose, Darkroom, does not scale up to larger widths because it uses a fixed width image for the spotlighted area in the center.
    You could simulate that theme, except for the spotlight but taking a screenshot of the textured area and using that file for the page background. Or make the page background transparent or none and use the textured file for the browser background.
