Uneven colors, slight yellowish screen on my 2nd 17" MBP

Well, this is my second Hi-Rez 17" 2.6 MBP (the 1st one I return due to the screen having shadows in the middle of the screen. It also had the yellow on the bottom, not sure what screen it had). I now have the new for one week and it has the 9C7A screen. I also turned it on at the Apple Store and notices that the right side what some what darker (about 1/4 of the screen) creating a darker stripe going vertically at the 1/4 point from the right side of the screen. When I move a window from side to side (holding it with the mouse and moving it from the right side to the left side I can notice it even more. I then set my desktop picture to the "Solid Color" choices in our System Preference>Desktop & Screen Saver>Desktop>Solid Colors, and I notice that there is a brighter/yelowish on the bottom and more towards the left of the screen. I also notice a halo brightness about 6-8 pixels from the edge at all edges of the screen and a dark corner on the bottom right. Almost as if the edges of the screen is slightly dimmer. The Apple Care guy at the Apple store told me to use the computer for a while since it changes was it warms up and been used for a while. I don't understand why this keeps happening? This is Apple's best notebook they sell (17" MBP 2.6 Hi-Rez, $3,199). I ran other tests and don't have any dead pixels but every time I move my windows I see the shadow and the yellowish when using colors like grays and blues. I also notice that the fans run more on this one and I hear the hard drive too but this could be normal. Not sure what to do. I am thinking of returning it for a 3rd one
What also is a bummer is that the Apple Store is 3 hours away! I did try buying a computer online, a new 24" iMac, but that had an even worse gradient problem and had to wait for it in shipping. Now I only buy through the Apple Store but it is not close buy.

Yes, I have had multiple screens replaced as well as multiple MBPs replaced due to horrible screens. They are getting better and better but the yellow is still there.

Macbook Pro 13" Retina Display uneven color distribution

Bought a 13" retina MBP 2 weeks ago and one day after, I realized that the display's color is unequally distributed. The left side of the screen, near the edge has a "blueish" stripe and the low middle area is "yellowish".
I'm really disappointed as this is not acceptable for a high-quality (and high priced) product like Macbook Pro but it seems that I cannot do anything for it.
I'm living in Vietnam, where there's no official Apple Store or Apple Service Center. There're two Apple Authorized Service Center available, though. However, one of them said they are not ready for the retina products, at least I have to wait to Jan 2013. Another center after some screen tests, which display different color patterns on-screen, with dirrect connection to Apple Server, they concluded that there's no problem with the screen. What the ****? I and all my friends can spot the coloring problem of the screen, so why did they say it's not problem?
I tried to call Apple Support on a dedicated line (1-201-0288, then 800-708-5413) but I always got a messgage telling me to try again. When I tried again and again, I cannot say I heard it properly but I think it said I was trying too much in one-hour period. What can I do now?

Many people that get Samsung retina displays have complained of such a 'tint' problem - the others, who have LG models, complain of image retention.
I don't know what to tell you to do at this point - if the service center isn't 'ready' to service Retina models, I suppose that you'll just have to wait. Calling AppleCare would have been my first suggestion, but you've already tried that and still no joy.
I imagine that the AppleCare folks in the US are busy with all of the 'Black Friday' questions being slung at them - maybe Monday would be a better time to try to get through.

Apple never accept replacement for their yellowish screen on my new iphone5s

I bought iphone5s few days ago and I reallized that my screen is yellowish. Applecare also agreed with yellowish screen on my phone.
but finally, Apple said it can not be replaced because yellow screen is not hardware failure..
I should see yellow color only instead of white for 2 years!!!!!!
Can you agree that? Anybody there to help me?

If either of you purchased the iPhone directly from Apple within the last fourteen calendar days, you should be able to return it for refund, though that policy will depend on the country you're in. If you purchased from an authorized reseller, that reseller's return policy if any will apply.
If you're outside of any return policy, then if Apple Support says that they won't replace the iPhone, there's probably nothing you can do. Only Apple can make that determination and if they've refused replacement, I'm afraid that's the end of it. You can try calling Apple Support and asking to speak with Customer Relations and see if they can help, but if they can't, then you will have hit a dead end.
Note, however, that the yellow tint often fades across the first few weeks of use, so even if Apple refuses a replacement, you may find that matters improve over time.

How to change the background color of a screen field

I have created a screen, in the output, the fields in the screen are having same color with the screen.
My client want the fields to be in the gray color.
For more clarification,
Goto SE11, Enter any table name, Click on display
In the next screen, observe the fields
Name, Short text, Last changed, Status are in the same color with the screen. Where as their values...
MARA, Material Master: General Data, etc are in the screen with gray background, I want in that way.
Any hint...

As i understand, in your scree u have taken "pushbutton" instead of taking "I/O field"
So make ur fields to "I/O fields"

How to change the color of SAP screen?

Hi Frens,
I know it has nothing to do with SD Community, but still I am asking. Can anyone tell me "How to change the color of SAP screen?" It is needed especially when you are working on System Landscape including PRD, Qua & Dev. There are chances that you end up making a test case in PRD instead of Dev or Qua. To avoid that, different color of SAP screen may be very useful and safe.

Colors changes on screen

OK guys I have a question? I just started to notice that I every time I press the menu key or even the a green phone key there are waves of color on the screen. Its almost like putting your finger on a plasma screen and watching the colors change.
but it only wants to do it when on certain times, not all the time!
what can I do to prevent from a major problem?

sounds like it could be a display issue
try removing the battery with power on and then replace... wait for reboot

Numbers of colors on the screen? Zen vs. Vision

I am thinking about getting either a Zen or Zen vision M player. I can see that the Zen has 6m colors on the screen and the Vision "only" has 262k colors can I see the difference?

Well, the difference IS significant when viewing pictures, as well as videos. It's like setting your TV color setting to 30% (Zen V M) and then to 00% (Zen).
The ZEN is a huge improvement, as I have both the Zen and ZVM

Photoshop CS6 selection, shape, and text is causing colored artifacts on screen

The Photoshop CS6 (13.0.4) selection, text, and shape tool causes colored artifacts on screen. I'm running on a retina Macbook Pro updated to the latest ML release. I have disabled GPU acceleration. I have also tried starting Photoshop with no plugins but this does not help.

SOLVED. After two days of intense debugging I've identified the issue as an interaction between the ICC color profile, integrated GPU, and Photoshop. The ICC profile was created with an i1Display Pro using the i1Profiler software. The issue occurs when you create the color profile using the LUT setting. Creating a profile using the matrix setting seems to be ok. In summary, these are the specific conditions that cause the issue (for me):
1) Using a color profile created with the LUT setting with i1Profiler and i1Display Pro
2) Using the integrated GPU (discrete GPU is disabled in Photoshop Performance setting)
3) Running on Photoshop 13.0.4 (13.0+ all have the issue) on a 15" Macbook Pro with Retina display
Creating a new profile with the matrix setting OR enabling the discrete Nvidia GPU will also make the artifacts go away. The integrated GPU using the LUT based color profile does not seem to have any artifacts in any other photography and video editing software that I've tried so Photoshop is playing a role. The nature of the artifacts also change from Photoshop version 13.0 to 13.0.4. For example, in Photoshop 13.0 the Marquee Tool has no issues while 13.0.1+ has artifacts.

Grey color cover the screen and can't use touch screen when trying to open the internet.

Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Cache. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work, reset the iPad. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Last thing to try is quit the app and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit Safari by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the Safari icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
