Unexpected error - adding legal entity to ledger

Hello guys,
I got the usual unexpected error while trying to apply a legal entity to a ledger in R12.
I have tried to clear the cache but to no avail
Any idea will help

Hi,
this is common on almost any web page functionality, if this is highly recurring i.e. reproducible at will you can approach oracle support and get a code fix ....
However if this is occassional and does not follow a pattern/trend, this would be a Intermittent issue ...
Clearing Cache, bouching apache are the common fix for these errors ... some times logging off and logging in again, clearing your browser cache and temp files also resolves this error ....

Thanks. I exactly intended to do that, but surprisingly not able to select, I mean find my other company code when I opt for adding segment value to Legal entity. Say now I have company code 10 attached and there's one more 05, which I want to add; I am not seeing that value when entering in Values LOV.
Could you please provide some clues - about trouble shooting the issue. Also what repurcussion will it have if I can or can not attach my desired company code - if you please tell ?

When I want to buy a app on APP World, I got this "Unknown Legal Entity for Sale Country (Error ID: 30266)"
I have already added a PayPal account in APP World. What is this? Why this happen?

R12 BSVs was attached in legal entity in error

We have one legal entity and I attached the 3 Company BSVs in the legal entity in error. There is a remove button but it's currently grayed out. Is there a way to remove the BSV from legal entity?. No transactions entered in GL or SL.

We are using Oracle EBS R-12 and would like to rename the followings as our company name has been changed.
* Business Group
* Legal entity
* Ledger
* Operating Unit
* Inventory Organization
We just want to know that is there any issue after change the name of above?

For the Business Group, Operating unit & Inventory Org. You can rename the organizations name no problem from the define organizations form query for the organization you want to rename, rename it and save.
For the ledger you can update your ledger name no problem. GO to accounting setup manager find you ledger update accounting setup> update journal processing> rename your ledger> Finish.
For the legal entity GO to accounting setup manager> Legal Entity (T)> Find your legal entity> View details> Update> Rename your Legal Entity name. Do the same for the legal establishment.

Prevent oracle r12 legal entity from being posted in another ledger

Given the following:
Ledger = Ireland
Legal Entity:
Germany =123 segment 1
France= 456 segment 1
Ledger=Hong Kong
Legal entity=Hong Kong=789 segment 1
The Ireland ledger is intended for Euro based companies, the Hong Kong for HKD
I want to prevent any journal entries that have a segment1 789 from being posted in the Ireland Ledger, and segment 1 of 123 and 456 from being posted in the Hong Kong ledger.
How does one do this?

Looks like you are sharing a chart of account structure between the two ledger or at least you are sharing the segment 1 value set between the two ledgers.
Once you defined your ledgers, create and assign respective legal entities to your ledgers.
Associate Legal Entity Hong Kong to the ledger Hong Kong.
Associate Legal Entities Germany and France to the ledger Ireland.
Make sure you also assign balancing segment values to the legal entities associated with your ledgers.
Assign 789 to Legal Entity Hong Kong (associated with the ledger Hong Kong)
Assign 123 to Legal Entity Germany (associated with the ledger Ireland)
Assign 456 to Legal Entity France (associated with the ledger Ireland)
Once you assign the balancing segment values to the legal entities, system will not let you use any other balancing segment values (that are not assigned to the legal entities associated with your ledger). This will prevent 789 from being used in Ireland Ledger, and 123 and 456 from being used in Hong Long Ledger.

Unexpected error durung process after adding a new measure group

I add a new measure group with distinct count in my cube
I process my cube then I have:
Erreur interne : Une erreur inattendue s'est produite. Erreurs dans le moteur de stockage OLAP : Une erreur s'est produite lors du traitement de la partition 'Requirement' du groupe de mesures 'Formalized 1' pour le cube 'Requirements_view' à partir de la
base de données SeikoCube. (internal error : unexpected error happens ... An error occured when processing the partition for measure group for the cube)
If I delete this measure, it works well.
Whap happens ? How could I resolve it ?

According to your description, you encounter the error while processing the cube after added the distinct count to cube, right? In your scenario, which process option are you used to process the cube?
Generally, if you add a measure you are changing the structure of the cube which will invalidate the cube, the easiest way to get the cube "fully operational" again would be to do a ProcessFull. The same thing applies when removing a measure.
Besides, please ensure that the steps to add distinct count are correct. There are different options for creating a distinct count measure in SSAS. Please refer to the link below to see the details.

Removing KB2506143 does not resolve my unexpected error when adding users in SBS 2011 Console

I suddenly have a problem adding a user. I get the yellow exclamation mark next to setting up an email account for 'username' and the x for setting up user quotas. When i look in ad the user is added though. Clicking on view error details
gives me;
!unexpected error occurred
x MessagingManagement
When i just look at the users in the sbs console 2011 i also get an unxepected error after 10-20 seconds.
All this just happend from one day to the next, i did not change anything to the server.
The bpa also doesnt give any errors.
Looking at the adduser file gives me the following errors;

Please refer to the path: Control Panel-> Programs and Features-> View installed updates. Then check and confirm again that didn’t install KB2506143. Meanwhile,
please run Get-Host command in PowerShell to confirm the version again.
In addition, please run the following commands and then monitor the result.
winrm invoke Restore winrm/Config
winrm quickconfig
By the way, would you please let me know the version of Exchange that you use?

Error 'Invalid address style' when create new address Legal Entity R12

Hi,
Did somebody had the same problem like i do.
I am trying to create a new dutch address for a new legal entity in Oracle R12.1.1 Vision, but however hard i trying to do so i always received the error message 'Invalid Address Style' and i filled in all the required field.
When i tested with the country 'US' or 'Australia' is could create a new address without any problem.
I hope you can help me to solve my problem.

You were right, I checked the dff for the address style and activated the once for the countries I needed and now I can create new address for the required countries by using the legal entity configurator.

What tables which will link Ledger to Legal Entity?

I am looking for the scripts to get all the Legal Entity under specific Ledger. In my example, I want to get all the Legal Entity which belongs to "ABC" Ledger. But I do not know what tabes will link from Ledger to Legal Entity.

HT4145 Unexpected error message when adding express to existing network

Following all steps correctly to extend wifi at home, I connected the Airport express to the base router via Ethernet cable. I get a green light, no wifi signal and "unexpected error ". message.

This annoying and unhelpful message is very common when attempting to change an AirPort Base Station's configuration. The best solution is to "hard reset" the Express and configure it anew.
Make sure the Ethernet cable is intact and connected at both ends, power up the Express, then press and hold its reset button and keep it depressed long enough - eight to ten seconds - for its LED to flash amber rapidly. Then, release the button, select the Express in your Mac's Wi-Fi icon, and configure it using AirPort Utility.
On occasion, AirPort Utility will not find or recognize the Express after it has been reset. If it does not appear, click the Other AirPort Base Stations button at the upper right and see if it appears there.
This assumes you are using AirPort Utility 6.x.
If you are still having problems reply with the version of AirPort Utility you are using and at which point you are getting stuck, and I will find some applicable screenshots.

Balancing Segment Value assignment to Legal Entity using Account Setup Mgr

This is on r12.06
By mistake- I did not assign BSV at Legal Entity level, insteady I directly assigned at Ledger level. Now, I am getting following error when running "Accounting Program" standard program
The subledger journal entry contains lines with balancing segment values that are not assigned to any legal entity. Unassigned balancing segments cannot be used to balance a subledger journal entry with balancing segments already assigned to a legal entity. Either update the balancing segment value assignments for the ledger ADP/Claims Solutions Group or update the balancing segment values used on the subledger journal entry Upon research, It was discovered that that the Balancing segment is assigned only at ledger level and it is not assigned at Legal Entity level in account setup manager.
When I attempted to assign the BSV at LE level, it is not showing the BSV in list of values.
I even end dated BS at ledger level and tried again but still the concerned BSV is not showing up in LOV at Legal entity level.
Now I am completely stuck. Any idea what am I missing? Why, the new BSV is not showing up at LE level LOV when attempting to assign BSV at LE level?

Once a BSV is assigned to the ledger it does not appear in the LOV of BSV-LE assignment field. Pl see if you can delete the BSV from ledger assignment, then only you can re-assign to LE. In my opinion, it allows you to delete the BSV from ledger level if you have not already used it in transactions. In your case, I wonder if it will allow you to delete it. If not, you have to raise SR with Oracle support.

for those who have encountered the same problem as me, you should check that the table name sql query is of the form Name_Schema.Name_Table.
For this right click on the entity in the workspace> edit entity> Database Objects> Schema Objects and add the schema name before table name( Name_Schema.Name_Table).
