Unexpected error detected in natve code outside the VM when using loadjava
When I try to use loadjava to load and resolve a class into Oracle 10.2.0.1.0 or compile the source into a class using the v switch I get the following error stack, does anyone know why this is, could this be due to a bug in 10.2.0.1.0 ?
C:\>loadjava -u techsupp/techsupp -v FileUtils.java
arguments: '-u' 'techsupp/techsupp' '-v' 'FileUtils.java'

Hi:
Is not a bug on the internal OJVM, I mean this will not affect your code running inside the database.
The problem is with the Sun JVM shipped with your 10g database, note the message:
Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.4.2_08-b03 interpreted mode)
If you can load your Java code without using -v (verbose) flag it will run OK.
If not try loading your Java class compiled outside in .class format. Remember to compile the class with a JDK 1.4.
Also you could find a workaround for the Sun JVM at Sun's blogs.
There is an alternate method for loading classes using Ant task or Maven, see this projects as examples:
[http://dbprism.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/dbprism/ojvm/]
[http://dbprism.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/dbprism/DataService/]
Note the loadjava.xml file which defines an Ant task using the aurora.zip file shipped with your Oracle database and which have the logic for uploading classes.
Best regards, Marcelo.

What meaNing is the error: "detected in native code outside the VM"
Hi,
I am trying to run dbca to create database(10.2.0.1 for Linux x86) in RHEL5 beta2, after I click the OK button on the parameter confirmon window, will display the Java exception:
detected in native code outside the VM
How resolve the problem?
Thanks!Hi, Avi:
The the "install forum" has reply me, but error is same. entire error message and stack trace as following, I no install JDK or JRE now, because I think the db10g already has a jre and some lib.

An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM.
I thought that my problem had been solved yesterday when I managed to run my application with out getting "An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM."
I was told to uninstall "j2sdk1.4.1_02" and install my old version of 1.3.1 and then completely remove that (as i do not think i removed it correctly in the first place), then reinstall my new version again (j2sdk1.4.1_02). This appeared to work, and my application ran. However, today i planned to do more work on it and it errored again. I am getting the following error:

I am now not sure at all why my computer is doing this, as it worked yesterday...
Any light shed on this matter is much appreciated.
Thanks, MikeWelcome to native code hell! The reason we all use Java is because
native code sucks. It is to be isolated and quarantined to the smallest
area possible.
File a TAR/SR. Maybe you just need a newer vesion of the OCI client
libraries on your machine. Maybe they are out of sync with the native
portion of the type-2 driver.
Say why you went from type-4 to type-2. In my opinion, unless you have
a very good reason, you should go back to the reliable java driver. Java
can't kill a JVM.
Good luck,

Unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM
I seriously hope I posted this in the right forum, there was so many, and it was confusing. Please forgive me if I didn't.
Anyways, I was playing a online game, RuneScape, when my browser suddenly closed. Later on, I finally noticed that there was a notepad document on my desktop:

# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.4.2_03-b02 mixed mode)
I am running Windows XP Home Edition, and I have the latest Java.
This has happened several times, but it's just with this one game. Can someone please help me? I'd really appreciate it.Have you tried a current version of Java. ie. 1.4.2_08 or 1.5.0_03 ?

Why native code outside the VM when I use JNI in web application?
I have a web application by using JBOSS as the server in windows XP environment. I need to call native functions in my servletAction class to check some information. After I start JBOSS and WebServer(tomcat), it works well when I launch the web page to call that native funtions in the first a few times, but after a while when I reopen that page in IE to call native funtions it throws me an unexpected error and shut down the jboss automatically. Could know how to solve it? Thank you guys in advance!

Following is what I am doing:
I have a key.java file with several native functions.
In key.cpp I defined the implementation of above functions then created dynamic link library file key.dll. I put the key.dll to WEB-INF/lib/key.dll.
Then in a servlet Action class, I called new key().keyPresent and new key().readBlock(0, 8, block, p1,p1).
Public class Key{
public native int keyPresent(int password1, int password2);
public native void readBlock(int startMemoryLocation, int size,
byte[] block, int password1, int password2);
static {
System.loadLibrary("Key");
//A Singleton Class
private static Key key;
private Key()
public static Key getSingletonObject()
if ( key== null)
key = new Key();
return key;
public Object clone()
throws CloneNotSupportedException
throw new CloneNotSupportedException();
Key.cpp:
#include <jni.h>
#include "Key.h"
#include <stdio.h>
#include "hasp.h"
#include <memory.h>
JNIEXPORT jint JNICALL Java_Key_keyPresent
(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jint pass1, jint pass2)
try{
int keyPresent = 0;
int p1, p2, p3, p4;
int seed = 100;
int port = 0;
p1 = p2 = p3 = p4 = 0;
hasp(LOCALHASP_ISHASP, seed, port, 0, 0, &p1, &p2, &p3, &p4);
if (p1 == 0) {
printf("\nNo Hasp exists. Program aborted.\n");
return -1;
if (p3 == HASPERR_VERSION_MISMATCH) {
printf("Old driver found - please update driver to actual version.\n");
return 2;
hasp(LOCALHASP_HASPSTATUS, seed, port, pass1, pass2, &p1, &p2, &p3, &p4);
if (p3 == 0) {
return 4;
hasp(LOCALHASP_HASPGENERATION, seed, port, pass1, pass2, &p1, &p2, &p3, &p4);
if (p3) {
printf("Failed: haspKey password is not correct!");
return 4;
} else {
switch (p1) {
case 0:
keyPresent = 3;
break;
case 1:
keyPresent =1;
break;
return keyPresent;
}catch(...){
return -999;
* READBLOCK

JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_Key_readBlock
(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jint startMemoryLocation, jint nSize, jbyteArray pBlock, jint pass1, jint pass2)

int p1, p2, p3, p4;
p1 = (startMemoryLocation+1)/2;
p2 = nSize >> 1;
jbyte *javablob = env->GetByteArrayElements(pBlock, 0);
memset(javablob, 0, nSize);
p4 = (int)javablob;
int seed = 100;
int port = 102;
hasp(MEMOHASP_READBLOCK, seed, port, pass1, pass2, &p1, &p2, &p3, &p4);
env->ReleaseByteArrayElements(pBlock, javablob, 0);
if (p3) {
printf("Failed. Error number: %d.\n", p3);
} else {
}catch(...){
printf("readBlock function failed");
}the error happens in your native-code which runs outside the VM of course, since its native.
You access some memory where you don't have rights to do so, in a normal win32-app you would get the "application crashed at 0xdeadbeef"-window, and since java cannon guarantee that your code did not destroy something it shuts down.
I would try to debug my code withought java in a C++ IDE/Debugger.
good luck, lg Clemens -
I am having problems saving documents back to SharePoint when any of the document properties (metadata columns) are set to be "managed metadata". The check-in/save fails with error:
The document could not be saved. The server said:
“The operation failed because an unexpected error occurred. (Result code 0×80020005)”
Please ensure you have completed all required properties with the correct information and try again.
I have seen similar threads that suggest this is a known issue with this version of Acrobat but I would like conformation from Adobe that this is a known issue and whether it is fixed in a newer version?
Adobe Acrobat version 10.1.13
SharePoint 2010Hi quodd,,
We are sorry for the issue being faced by you. I need some information from you so that I take further steps:
1. Which Adobe product are you using Acrobat or Adobe reader- what is the complete version?
2. How are you opening and saving the PDF, the exact workflow?
Are you doing it from within Adobe Reader/Acrobat application or opening it from browser, doing changes and saving it using browser itself.
3. Can you try to save a PDF to library with Custom template and managed metadata columns using browser directly.
4. Please verify that columns name do not contain spaces or some other special characters.
Can you try to save PDF to library with Custom template and just a single managed metadata column with a simple name
Thanks,

upgrading to osx 10.6.8 fails. I see errors in the /var/log/install.log of "An unexpected error occurred while moving files to the final destination." Underlying Error=(Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=5 "The operation couldn’t be completed. Input/out. Any thoughts on what is causing these errors and the upgrade failure?
ThanksI have no idea what the specific error code means but input/output errors can sometimes mean a disk is failing. Make a couple of backups of all important data before doing anything else.
Verify your startup disk using the First Aid tab in Disk Utility. If the disk needs repair boot from your Leopard DVD and repair your disk from Disk Utility under Utilities on the screen after you choose your language. Repeat the repair process until Disk Utility reports all is well.
If Disk Utility doesn't find any errors you might want to try a new download of the update and keep a sharp eye on your HD for anything else that might indicate all is not well. Take special care to back up important data.
If Disk Utility finds errors it would probably be a good idea to pay a visit to the Apple Store to have them check out your hard drive even if Disk Utility is able to repair the errors. -
What does this mean and how do I fix it? Error ITMS-9000 "Invalid Code Signing The executable ´viwer.app/ viewer´ must be signed with the certificate that is contained in the provisioning profile"
If you had Firefox save your Yahoo password, first try deleting that here:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Security > "Saved Passwords"
The "signed out" message seems to be related to how Yahoo authenticates you. Some users have reported that disabling automatic proxy detection solves the problem, and it also resolves an issue of getting logged out every few minutes, if you have ever experienced that.
To make the change:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the "Network" mini-tab, click the "Settings" button, then choose "No Proxy" and OK your way back out.
If your work connection requires you to use a proxy server, try the "Use system settings" option instead.
Does that help? -
Error in template for code outside html
Hi everyone
I have a problem with a template.
I use a simple tamplate master with this tag: <!--
TemplateInfo codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" --> in order to
unlock the code outside the html.
Well, I have also some pages with this templated applied to.
Those ones are ok because when i try to apply any changes
outside the html tag dreamweaver let me do this.
But I have a problem. When I UpDate the template it replaces
the code outside html with the code in it.
Fore example this is what appears inside the master:
<%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false"
ContentType="text/html" ResponseEncoding="utf-8" %>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0
Transitional//EN" "
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="
http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<!-- TemplateInfo codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -->
When I have a page based on this template, like this:
<%@ Page Language="VB" FileCode="aaa" Inherits="aaa"
AutoEventWireup="false" ContentType="text/html"
ResponseEncoding="utf-8" %>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0
Transitional//EN" "
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="
http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><!--
InstanceBegin template="/Templates/page.dwt.aspx"
codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -->
If i try to update the template it replaces the text outside
the html tags in the based page, and it becomes so (in the page
based on template after the template master update):
<%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false"
ContentType="text/html" ResponseEncoding="utf-8" %>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0
Transitional//EN" "
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="
http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<!-- TemplateInfo codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -->
THIS IS BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to chenge the page directive in asp net but the
template doesnt work well!!!!!!!

How can I see all the Transaction Code that the client is using?
How can I see all the List of Transaction Code that the client is using?
Hello Sugauli,
Did you mean to ask
transaction types the client is using?
instead of
transaction code
If so, go to SPRO (in ERP system) and follow this path:
Sales and Distribution -->
Sales -->
Sales Documents -->
Sales Document Header -->
Define Sales Document Types
All the transaction types that are not used have an X in the column Block.

How can I customize the toolbar when using the attribute browser
In CVI 2012, the toolbar changes depending on the environment, e.g. it is different for the source window and the UI editor. The toolbar can be customized using the menu Options / Toolbar...
Unfortunately, when using the attribute browser of the UI editor, another toolbar is displayed, i.e. not the UI editor toolbar.... I would have assumed that the attribute browser belongs to the UI editor, obviously it doesn't... So how can I customize the toolbar when using the attribute browser?
Solved!
Go to Solution.Luis,
It's nice to have you back
Thank you for the clarification, so I'll elaborate a bit more: In the regular workspace toolbar, I have a disk symbol to save the file. This symbol is gone in the attribute browser...
So I have three different toolbars, for source code (workspace), UI editor, and the UI editor displayed but the attribute browser clicked on (selected)...
Thanks
Wolfgang

How can i detach the video from a clip so i can only use the audio when using imovie?
how can i detach the video from a clip so i can only use the audio when using imovie?
First, go to iMovie/Preferences and enable the Advanced Tools.
Import the video clip into an iMovie Event. When you get ready to use it in an iMovie Project, select the clip in the Event and drag & drop it on top of a video or photo clip in the project at the place where you want it to begin. When the pop-up menu appears, choose Audio Only. -
How can I force mount a dvd that isn't even seen by Disk Utility? I can see it on the Mac when using my Windows 7 partition via Boot Camp, but not in Lion, which is how I would rather be running.
Well if there is a EFI block, then running a program in OS X isn't going to do a lick of good.
After all EFI was designed for Trusted Computing and Digital Rights Management, to act between the OS and hardware, can read drives, contact the Internet and everything.
Windows doesn't use EFI, will have UEFI in Windows 8 though. -
or vice versa. I probably do not know enough to be able to ask the question properly.
The colors of photos in PS CC are not the same when used as a desktop background in Windows 7. The colors are somewhat more saturated when as a background on the desktop and while not totally unusable, it would be nice to have matching color between my PS editing screen and the photo as viewed as a desktop background.
The following are some conditions that may or may not be relevant to the answer of my following question.
1.) I am a complete novice to Color Management so a presumption of knowledge and the heavy use of jargon may not penetrate my head.
2.) I shoot with sRGB embedded in my photos.
3.) My RAW conversions use sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1.
4.) My PS Color Settings are North American General Purpose 2 with sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 as the working space and Intent as Relative Colormetric
5.) In the Win 7 Control Panel>Color Management>Device, my Device = NEC LCD2690wuxi, ICC Profile = NEC LCD2690wuxi (default), file name = nl269wui.icm
6.) In the Win 7 Control Panel>Color Management>Advanced, Device profile = System Default sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 and (everything else set to System Defaults too). The only difference from the PS Color Settings being that Windows is defaulted to Perceptual Intent, but a change in either PS or Win 7 has no effect on the relative color differences.
7.) The monitor is set to the Native internal preset, but the relative differences in color remain the same even if the monitor is changed to sRGB, or any other internal preset.
8.) I have Proof Setup set to Monitor RGB but none of the settings will match the Win 7 Background color.
Now, my question is this. How would you set up your color settings/profile in PS and/or Windows to match color between PS and the Windows desktop of Windows 7?Nevermind. I didn't have Proof Colors checked.
