Unexpected error message when ordering book

During the last few days I've been getting an " Unexpected error occurred, try again later." Anyone else experiencing this? I've done many books in the past with iPhoto, but this is the first time I get an error message.

But because of the many hours spent on the project ( hardcover book 84 pages ) I decided to go ahead with it anyway. But next time...

    I did copy it to my desktop, but it still won't let me open it.  I think the file on the disc might be corrupt or something like that though the cd itself checks out fine as far as viruses go.  I was able to verify the disc, but that's about it.  My husband tried it on his iMac and we have the same issue.  It's unzipping the folder, but won't let us open the folder on both the Mac Book Pro or the iMac by double clicking, going to file/open or right clicking.  It just keeps saying the same message as I posted above.  I think I'm just going to have the client put the pictures on either a memory card or a USB memory stick so she won't have to compress the files for zipping purposes.  It's been too frustrating trying to open this folder on this cd she gave me.  She said she created/zipped the cd on her Mac Book Pro but it sure won't open on mine.

    Error message below. The preview is fine . I can discount the first 2messages as its a new computer so plenty of disk space and upload doesn't seem to be interrupted. I have uploaded to iphoto before. have tried to upload 3times with the same error message. I had to photo my slides with a Kaiser Baas photo maker , which apparently doesn't scan but takes photos in megapixels of the slides. I am wondering now if the format is incompatible though they are jpg files or the colour type wrong. The image files are  around 1-3 mb each and  72 ppi. I think  I will now scan them properly with a scanner to 300dpi anyway to improve quality.
    Apple  talks about image files not being too big for uploading but gives no sizing of what too big is?
    Error message
    1. Upload Error. Loss of connection or file corruption during order upload may cause an incomplete order. Resubmitting your order usually resolves this issue.
    2. Low Disk Space. If your computer is running on low disk space, your files may be assembled incorrectly. Create more space by deleting unused files.
    3. Unreadable PDF file or image files. Files are sometimes assembled incorrectly due to CMYK or Grayscale color space. Use the RGB color space for best results.

    I established an account and ordered pictures once from IPHOTO. Now, when attempted to order prints I'm forced into the account setup screens. All of my data is present and correct but as soon as I finish the screens I get the message - "an unexpected error has occuured, please try again later". The screens do not allow me to simply enter into my account information at the beginning - I'm only allowed to enter set up account.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. If your problem is only recent, i.e. in the last day or so, it's probably server issues on Apple's end. I ran into a similar account setup early this week when I would try to log into these discussions. You can report it to http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.

    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Iphoto 09, file error message when sending book

    when I was selecting images for a 52 page book iphoto froze a few times but recovered itself. But I finished book and pressed Buy book. It assembled the book, and started transmitting it. I wasnt watching all the time but it seemed to have sent about half the book size when it stopped giving me a message saying there was a file error. none of the pics had that ! appear when I was choosing the images. Clicked Retry and it started all over again. Same thing happened.
    Anyone got any idea how to tell if there is a particular image that is causing a fault. I had a couple of images on a previous book that i had to remove because they were corrupted and I wondered if this was same thing. Mind you different error message this time. So maybe not?

    If that works try ordering again - if it fails too then Backup your iPhoto library and rebuild it form the last automatic database backup (launch iPhoto while depressing the option (alt) and command (apple) keys

    Flash Player is no longer supported on OS X 10.5.8.  The last version to support OS X 10.5.8 is Flash Player 10.3.  Flash Player 10.3 is available for download from this page: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html.

    Hi I have just bought a hp deskjet all in one printer and i am unable to download the software installation for the printer.
    I have tried doing this on my hp chromebook and Iphone 6 but i keep receiving the same message:
    It seems that there was an unexpected error downloading the software for your printer. Please check back later or you can insert the CD and choose the option No thanks, i prefer the base CD installation when the first screen appears.
    The problem is i dont have a CD drive on my chromebook to complete this. Can you advise me what else i can do to complete installation and set up the wifi on my printer?

    Hi Caroline,
    For the Chromebook, you will not be able to print via an iOS device, that will require a computer.
    For the iPhone and iPad devices You may print by connecting the printer to the wireless network.
    As there is no standard computer available, there are two options to connect the printer to your wireless router.
    Option one is to use WPS if your router support a such, the steps can be found below:
    Method one: Push button
    Follow these instructions to connect using the Push button method on your printer control panel.
    On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button () for more than three seconds. The Wireless Status light starts blinking.
    Press the WPS button on your router. The printer begins a timer for approximately two minutes while a wireless connection is established.
    Method two: PIN
    Follow these instructions to connect using the PIN method on your printer control panel.
    On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button () and the Start Copy Black button ( ) at the same time. The Network Configuration page prints.
    Find the WPS PIN printed at the top of the page.
    On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button () for more than three seconds. The Wireless Status light starts blinking.
    Open the configuration utility or software for the wireless router or wireless access point, and then enter the WPS PIN.
     note:For more information about using the configuration utility, see the documentation provided with the router or wireless access point.
    Wait about 2 minutes. If the printer connects successfully, the wireless light stops blinking but remains lit.
    If your router does not support WPS, temporary connect the Chromebook to yoru printer and use the EWS page to connect the printer to your router:
    On the printer's control panel, press and hold the Wireless Direct button () for 3 seconds. The Wireless Direct setup instructions print.
    From your Chromebook connect to the printer, the network name and the password are listed in the printed sheet.
    Open Google Chrome and browse to http://192.168.223.1/
    Open the Network / Wireless tab and follow the Wireless Setup Wizard by selecting your router and providing the password.
    Once you are done reconnet the Chromebook to your router to have internet access again.
    That WILL NOT allow printing from the Chromebook as another computer is required or an ePrint enabled printer, however you should now be able to print from the iPhone or iPad.

    Following all steps correctly to extend wifi at home, I connected the Airport express to the base router via Ethernet cable. I get a green light, no wifi signal and "unexpected error ".  message.

    This annoying and unhelpful message is very common when attempting to change an AirPort Base Station's configuration. The best solution is to "hard reset" the Express and configure it anew.
    Make sure the Ethernet cable is intact and connected at both ends, power up the Express, then press and hold its reset button and keep it depressed long enough - eight to ten seconds - for its LED to flash amber rapidly. Then, release the button, select the Express in your Mac's Wi-Fi icon, and configure it using AirPort Utility.
    On occasion, AirPort Utility will not find or recognize the Express after it has been reset. If it does not appear, click the Other AirPort Base Stations button at the upper right and see if it appears there.
    This assumes you are using AirPort Utility 6.x.
    If you are still having problems reply with the version of AirPort Utility you are using and at which point you are getting stuck, and I will find some applicable screenshots.

    Hi, When I go to 'BUY' the book I created I keep getting the "Error Occurred with one of your files" message, and the upload does not go through. How can I tell what this error is(which photos), and is there another way to send the book in?

    I had the same problem and am looking for the same answer. I thought maybe my pictures sizes were off, and checked them, but that only led to more questions for me. I used the family album format, and read that you should make your pictures a 4x3 size for the books. but since the frames are all different sizes in the book, (some small, some large) I'm not sure about how they will actually print. Let me know if you find out anything further, and I will do the same!

    I've noticed that on the Commerce Reference Store (CRS) if I order, let's say, 10 "branded belt black large" and there's only 5 available in stock my order goes through and the order's status is set to "Pending Merchant Action".
    Instead of this, I'd like to BLOCK the Order and display a message to the user. Something like: "There's only 5 items available".
    I was wondering what's the easiest way to customize this behaviour?

    I am uploading a book in urdu language in picture format and I am getting this message: Language ur for type main is only supported in epub 3 content." at book (MZItmspBookPackage). Does anyone know what does this mean? Thank you so much!

    The latest iTunes Producer Guide, version 2.8, says that a number of new languages are now supported by iBooks and the iBookstore using the ePub 3 format.  iBooks 3 and iOS 6 are required.  These are:
    Arabic, Burmese, Chinese, Dari, Hebrew, Japanese, Khmer, Kurdish, Lao, Malay, Pashto, Persian, Punjabi, Sindhi, Tajik, Urdu, Uyghur, and Uzbek

    Just recently i've started getting an alert from the Sophos anti-virus software i'm running. It only happens when I connect my iPod touch to the mac, and as far as i can see it's coming from the mobilesync backup. Any ideas if i should worry about this and if there's a fix?
