Unexpected error when connecting Airport Express A1264 to Airport Utility 6.3.1

My current wireless setup is and has been the following: Phone Jack --> DSL modem ---> Airport Express via Ethernet cable
Off of that connection we've been able to wirelessly run our MacBook, Apple TV and iPhones for several years.
We recently left for vacation, so I unplugged everything (apparently a huge mistake). When we returned from vacation, the wireless connection was intermittent and kept being dropped.
If I connect the Ethernet cable directly from the modem into my MacBook the internet works fine.
I tried refreshing the Airport Express by unplugging it and cycling it through. It continued to drop.
By opening the Airport Utility, a firmware update was recommended. However, since that update the Airport Express isn't detected anymore.
I tried a hard reset and Utility finds the Airport Express under "Other Wifi Devices" but then, at the end of trying to "Join the Airport Express to the Network" I get an "Unexpected Error" message.
Airport Express Model Number: A1264
Airport Utility: 6.3.1
OS: 10.8.5
I am very frustrated and way out of my league here with understanding how this all works and what I can do to fix it. If anyone has any suggestions or expertise to offer, I would greatly appreciate it.

"Unexpected Error" message with Mountain Lion and AirPort Utility 6.3.x. Hopefully this is just a matter of enabling IPv6.

This can happen if IPv6 has been disabled. To enable IPv6 for your network interface:
Choose Apple menu () > System Preferences, and then click Network.
If a lock icon appears in the lower-left corner, click it and enter your admin name and password to unlock the pane.
Click your network service (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) in the list, and then click Advanced.
Click the TCP/IP tab.
Choose Link-local only from the Configure IPv6 pop-up menu.
Click OK.
Click Apply.
The AirPort device should now appear in AirPort Utility.

Hi, I had a Time Capsule connected wirelessly to two Airport Expresses - one to extend the network and the other to stream music. Recently I had to replace my old iMac and at the same time I upgraded the Time Capsule to the new 3Tb model. The iMac is the 27" late 2013 i7 running the latest release of Mavericks. the iMac is connected to the Time Capsule via ethernet cable.
I'm trying to reinstate the configuration I was using but am having trouble connecting to the Express.
I do a factory reset of the Express. Amber light flashes slowly.
I turn wifi on on the iMac, click the icon and select the airport express from the drop down menu. Airport Utility starts gathering information, then says it's joining, then examining base stations on my network and then "An unexpected error occurred. Try again". Trying again doesn't help.
Curiously I get a message from Norton Vulnerability protection that it has blocked an ARP Cache poison attack. Turning off Norton Vulnerability doesn't help.
Any suggestions?

The "unexpected error occurred" is decidedly unhelpful. All that AirPort Utility knows is that something is preventing communication with the Express, for reasons that it cannot determine.
What model number Express do you have? Examine its case for a four digit model number preceded by the letter A. The model number is in the red box shown below:
Turning on Norton Vulnerability can't help either. Uninstall that worthless garbage completely, so that your Mac can work as designed. ARP Cache poison attack, my posterior.

My TC display a lot of errors when I tried to config some AirPort Express as a repeaters.
I have some AirPort Express as a repeaters for my wireless SSID in my TC. But they doesn't work, some times there are not exist in my AirPort Utility, and some times I need to reconfig those again.
I can't use AirPlay in my repeaters, and can't use my Apple TV eigther.
Really it is a desaster.
The idea is very good, have a TC with your hard disk, have one computer with iTunes, and repeat all your music, photos and videos to all your home through your apple TV and your AirPort Express repeaters.
BUT IT DOESN'T WORK
The TC crashes every 10 minutes, the AirPort utility doesn't find all of AirPort Express repeaters, iTunes doesn's find the repeaters and Apple TV eigther.
Is anybody has a solution?
May be someone had a similar problem.

I did all.
But still having problems:
TC still crashes, but less times per day, it blocks the Wireless access and need to restart; AirPorts Express don't repeat the signal as well as I need, some of them just don't repeat the signal at all; AirPlay in iTunes some times has all the repeaters (8) and Apple TV (2) for send the music, photos and videos, and some times doesn't has all of them.
And, with the 5.6 Utility and fireware 7.5.2 (in TC)* I lost "Back to my Mac" to TC; "Back to my Mac" still working to my iMac but lost it to my TC. (I use a TC hard disk as a personal cloud in my MacBook Pro)
*I just put the firmware 7.5.2 in TC, all my repeaters have firmware 7.6.1, should I need put the 7.5.2 on the repeaters too?
Do you have an other issue to solve this?
I insist, THE IDEA IS VERY GOOD, have all your music, photos and videos in all your home through AirPort Express repeaters and Apple TV via iTunes and AirPlay Utility, BUT DOESN'T WORK as well to have stable music, photos, videos, and conections.

Can you use the Airport Express A1264 as an AP and a DHCP server at the same time?

Can you use the Airport Express A1264 as an Access Point and a DHCP server at the same time?
I would like to use it as a DHCP server and AP at the same time in my LAN (no internet, just local machines through a few switches). I was lead to belive this could be the case from a few networking friends that haven't been friendly enough to help me out setting it up.

I need it to act as a dLink/Cisco/Linksys/etc basic wifi router, in the fact that you can access it via wifi, and it will spit out DHCP addresses (192.168.1.xxx) to everything wired downstream of it.
I want to simultaniously provide a Wifi connection and a LAN connection at the same time

For OS X Lion, you need to download this version directly from Apple Support Downloads.

Airport Express A1264 and WEP

Hey Gurus,
Not sure what the deal is or whether I am missing something. I am able to connect my airport express A1264 at my house to the wi-fi with no problems. But here at work, I am having trouble connecting the airport with the office wi-fi. There is no setting on the AX to set up with a WEP. Wep 16 and 32 bit are the only choices. Is there an update for the A1264? If so how?

One of the problems with WEP is that the actual standard relies on a 10 character HEX key for 40bit WEP and a 26 character HEX key for 128bit WEP.
In order to make things easier, vendors use certain algorithms to convert simple alphanumeric passwords (or passphrases) into HEX keys, thus enabling the use of simple easy to remember WEP password rather than lengthy HEX keys. The problem is that different vendors use different algorithms to generate the HEX key and therefore a ASCII password on an AEBS will be hashed differently on a non-Apple client and vice versa.

Unexpected error when trying to sign in to sync

Version 32.0.3 installed. I've been getting a message that Firefox unable to sync for the last **days So when i tried to log out of sync and log back in. I get an error "unexpected error" when i try to log in. So i tried to create a new account and get the same issue from the log in page. Have looked at everything listed on troubleshooting sync page Still the same issue.

That usually means something has gone wrong. If you have already tried to sign out and back in in accounts.firefox.com please provide the following troubleshooting information for further investigation:
* How do I turn on sync logs:
# Open about:config and turn on: services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess and services.sync.log.logger.engine.bookmarks
# Restart Firefox and look at: about:sync-log
# Logs and error messages will be located here

Error when connecting to terminal

Hello,
I have a BB 8100, Desktop manager 4.6.
Synchronization was working correctly 3-4 weeks ago.
Today, when I tried to synchronize, I had this error message:

I tried to debug this with the procedure of modifying Last name, first name, etc.... with no success
I tried several time to synchronize again but without success.
Now, the situation is even worse!
New message when I connect my BB to my computer. When I launch Desktop manager, I have the following error:
"Error when connecting to terminal. Make sure that your terminal is correctly connected, then try again"
I can not anymore try to synchronize!
This is very strange, it never happened before.
Nevertheless, Desktop Manager recognize my BB, as I can read on the buttom left part of the screen: Terminal connected (code Pin) recognized xxxxxx.

I tried to connect my Blackberry to my computer with a new cable.
I still have the same error message.

I also have a problem with an another device. (a TOMTOM GPS system), which happened almost at the same time.
Usually, when I connect this device, it will directly open the GPS sofware ( where I can download the new updating stuff). But since this Blackberry problem, I can not do it anymore. Impossible to connect the TOMTOM onto it. It is not recognize onto my computer.
For information, I also do synchronization of my adress book between my phone and TOMTOM.

Error when connecting to MDM from different lan

I got "Image Server Login Error" when connecting with client to server from different LAN, server is up, and i can connect to it when i in the same LAN. Ports 20003, 20004, 20005 for MDM server discovering and repository port 2345 is accessible through router. Running SP2 5.5.24.06.
Rem: it's not a port problem, when port 2345 is closed i got "WinSock error on connect"
PS: When I used MDM SP1 i connected to him properly in the same case.

If your repository is set to port 2345, then 4 subsequent ports should be openned also, i.e. 2346-2349.

Error when connecting to system

I have been off topic for quite a while and when I wanted to pick up today, I couldn't connect to the HANA server anymore. I haven't changed any settings since last setup, all I get is the "Error when connecting to system" in the Quick Lauch of the infornation modeler.
Any suggestions?

Server Error: Unexpected Error when running Napa SharePoint 2013 App

I am getting an error "Server Error : Unexpected error" when I try to run a SharePoint 2013 app in Napa Development environment.
It starts the process normally but after it shows "Uninstalling previous version" it throws the error. This has been happening since yesterday.Someone help

I have a solution to the problem. I had a folder with a JSON file. On renaming the file to .txt, the app ran normally. I believe .json files are not supported in SharePoint hence the error.

I have the same problem 'error code' when testing the connection to a database although I have an APEX db that connects without a problem.
I have re downloaded jre & SQL Developer just to ensure all files are where they should be with no luck.
I've also tried most of the suggestions in various threads.
Does anyone know what exactly causes this error?
eg; should I be looking for a file called 'ocijdbc11' & put it into the 'java.library.path' path?
Can anyone explain to a newbie at db connections what I should do?
I'm using the 'thin' client as the checkbox is clear & I don't know what path to enter into the correct file to make this work??
This is & needs to connect as a TNS connection & was working fine until recently, the only change I can think of is a move of files from the 'C' drive but I thought redownloading SQL Developer would slove this.

When you reinstalled SQL Developer, did you install into a new directory (ie rename or delete the old directory first)?
I don't know if system setup contains directory references (which might be invalid after moving the location of SQL Developer). Does renaming your system2.1.1.64.45 directory (in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\SQL Developer) help? Note that your connections are in the connections.xml file in the o.jdeveloper.db.connection.11.1.1.2.36.55.30 subdirectory of system2.1.1.64.45 - you will either need to export connections before renaming and then import again after or copy this file to test if you can connect.
Finally, the TNS Names directory preference is just a way of telling SQL Developer where to look for the tnsnames.ora file, rather than just assuming it will pick the right one. If you go to create a new connection, do you get the right list of TNS aliases? If not, then set this preference to the directory where the right tnsnames.ora file lives.
