Unfamiliar with software; problems involving lvdaq.dll

I recently posted about a labview issue I couldn't resolve. It was my first time using the program solo (first was with a student). Our laboratory uses labview 7.1. The issue is that When I open a file to run an experiment, where the white run arrow was, a grey arrow replaced it. I believe the issue lies in the file lvdaq.dll in the vi.lib folder in the c drive. In Measurement and Automation Explorer, under software I think these are what the program currently has (the number at the end is the version):

I am not sure what any of this means as I very recently joined a research group. Also, When looking at the icon for the file lvdaq.dll. It is a white page with two interlocking gears, which is unlike all other file icons in that folder as they look like the labview symbol. Could someone post a link to the correct download? I am not sure how DAQmx differs from traditional DAQ.
I first tried downloading 7.2, then 7.4 based on traditional NI-DAQ was 7.4.0. Is there a way to simply replace the .dll file in the vi.lib folder?

Solaris 10 with dhcp problems

Can anyone help with a problem involving Solaris 10 on dhcp.
Whenever the system (Blade 150) is rebooted and gets a
new dhcp number from the server, it tries to
reload part of what was associated with the old number. This
causes the user accounts not to work (it fails during login and setting
up profile) and may be related to the fact that the printer doesn't
work, although all the files seem to be in the right places.
I have searched the sun site for the problem and haven't found
anything to help solve the problem. Unconfiguring the system and redoing it doesn't help.

I have a DSL router that is also used as local name server.
I wrote the static IP address of the DSL router (192.168.178.1) into the resolv.conf file:
domain mydomain.com
nameserver 192.168.178.1Please also check the "hosts" and (for Sol 10) the "ipnodes" entries in /etc/nsswitch.conf. The entries should contain "dns":
hosts: files dns
ipnodes: files dns
...However this is the default setting for nsswitch.conf so you should normally not need to change this file.

It sounds like your 5800 has the earpiece fault that was common with 5800's made before February.
You need to take it to a nokia care point for repair under warranty.

Many problems with software activation with software purchased online

In the last few weeks, I have had a lot of problems with software activation.
I purchased 10 copies of Office. 5 would not activate. I took the software back to the local as suggested by customer service, but was denied an exchange.
I purchased 7 copies of Adobe Photoshop elements. 3 activated, the rest did not.
What is going on? Can I get these replaced, refunded, or activated?

Using the email address you registered with the forum, I was only able to locate eight copies of Microsoft Office, and couldn’t locate any copies of the Adobe Photoshop Elements. That being said, I was able to see that some of the codes did fail to process through the activation process. I would be happy to look into getting these activated for you.

My eyes just glazed over...Please in the future break down each of your issues with paragraphs separated by two carriage returns. It would be much easier when trying to address your issues.

Third, from my understanding, it would appear you are concerned about the noise the hard drive makes when it falls asleep? Why not put your machine in screen saver mode instead? Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Energy Saver turn off all Energy Saver settings, or set them to run Never.
Fourth, if your machine was purchased just a few days ago, you may still be able to get an exchange from the store, quicker than you can get a repair done. You may want to look into that possibility.
Fifth, it does appear you found the Logic forum. I would persist in asking there how to solve your technical issue with Logic regarding the audio. It may be you don't have to do anything special to the hard drive. Remember audio can be transmitted by wire, avoiding ambient sounds.

Reset your device and try it again: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.(No data loss)
Also make sure you have enough free space on the device for the update file - usually requires 2 to 3 times the actual size of the file to be able unpack & install.

Can anyone help with a problem I have with my Nomad Jukebox 3 software (ver 3.02.50)? It has stopped working (won't even read a CD). This has happened before (generally when I try to transfer an MP3 file it doesn't like to the Jukebox). I've always been able to fix it with a re-install. However, despite uninstalling and re-installing the software and doing a system restore I can't get it to work at all. I know the Jukebox is classed as 'beyond service life' but it works fine. However, unless I can sort the software, I won't be able to transfer any more CDs - as I know it won't cope with any MP3s which have been ripped with other software (eg Roxio).
