I'm very sorry to hear about this theft. I don't think there's anything you or Apple can do unless you took advance preparations.

Unfortunately, there's little you can do at this point other than start changing all your passwords and hoping the police get lucky.

I try to warn people, that TimeMachine drives tend to get stolen along with everything else.
To make and store bootable clones offsite or in a safe or something.

There is nothing you can do, unless the police get luckly and find it, then after many months in evidence you can have it back and pray your files are still there. -

Did you setup iCloud and Find My Mac? If so, and whoever has it is connected to WiFi, you can log into iCloud from any computer, click Find My Phone to hopefully see if your MacBook Pro shows up. This assumes the hard drive hasn't been erased or replaced.
If you didn't setup Find My Mac in iCloud then your MacBook Pro is probably gone and follow Csound1's advice. -

I would use the thinner or solvent that is required for the given paint on the aluminum surfaces. If the display got paint on it, then it becomes problematic.

There is nothing wrong with your Dell, it will work fine with any MacbookPro. I have been using Dell displays for over 12 years with many different Mac models. I have two 21" Ultra Sharp displays working side by side to design a Keynote presentation right now.
The issue your having is with the way Keynote takes control of the video output to both displays, it sends the presentation signal to one and the presenter display to the other, this is set up in;
Keynote preferences > Presenter display.
If you want to show a wesite or another app on either display, use application switcher:
press the the command key on the keyboard, then the tab key; a row of applications will show what applications are running, choose which one you want to show. Use command > tab to return to Keynote. -

If you have lost or found an Apple product, please contact your local law enforcement agency to report it. Although Apple does not have a process to track or flag lost or stolen product, you can use My Support Profile to find a list of serial numbers that have been purchased or registered with your Apple ID. -

Yes. Update to iTunes 10.3.1
Then go to the iTunes Store and click Purchased "new" under Music Quick Links on the right side of the iTunes window.
You can re download your purchased content from the next window. -

Why not upgrade to Snow Leopard, if you can?
NO. There is no way to downgrade your iPhone OS back to iOS6. Apple makes downgrades of their mobile OS not possible.
If you can, the only thing you can do is upgrade your Mac's OS X operating system.

My MacBook Pro was stolen less than a week ago, and I'm not sure if the hard drive was wiped, if it was wiped would I still be able to find it with the findiphone app? Or would it be untraceable after it was wiped? I had alot of special things on my laptop, and I would hate it if I didn't find it, so I'm hoping it wasn't wiped and I will be able to find it soon, HELP ME IF YOU CAN PLEASE! ANYTHING HELPS!

My iPhoto doesnt allow me to place more photos, says that the space is full but my mac book pro is new (less than 2 weeks) and I only got 500 photos, what should I do?? the computer is almost empty
Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Mac OSX 10.7.4 not recognising file types.
.dmg files are coming up as a plain "document". I have changed the "open with" to diskimagemounter and clicked change all. This works until the computer is restarted, then reverting back to unkown file type or document. Any suggestions? Thanks.
