To help figure out what's wrong, you can use an absolute path to your SWF files. (Such as "C:/Program Files/My Project/MySWF.swf") If the error goes away, then the filename is correct and there is simply some confusion as to where the local path is. Remember that the parent project (your main.swf) should be in the exact same directory as the SWFs being loaded)

  • Help with this ! Error #2044: Unhandled ioError:. text=Error #2035:

    Okay,
I'm green and new to Flash and making a website so this may not be a huge issue to some.
I'm trying to make a simple image gallery  with the UI Loader.( 9 thumbnail images with main image above it)
I'm following a Lynda.com CS3 video tutorial if that helps. It seems straightforward enough.
I have everything properly assigned (buttons, the loader) and this is the basic actionscript code to get the first two images to appear:
    btn1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, ldr1)
    function ldr1(e:Event){
        ldr.source = "Images01.jpg";
    btn2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,ldr2)
    function ldr2(e:Event){
        ldr.source = "Images02.jpg";
When I test the movie I get this error :
Error #2044: Unhandled ioError:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found.
I have the flash file and the swf file saved in the same folder as the images (as the video instructs) but it seems Flash cannot read or find my external hard drive. I also remade the file and resaved everything on my computers main hard drive and it still cannot find my folder.
Please help. I know this is probably an easy issue but again, I'm new and any help would be great.
    Thanks,
    Mike

I'm not familiar with the way you're loading images (what class is "ldr" an instance of?), but the error is straightforward. You somehow misspelled the image name (caps, maybe in the extension?) or you're referring to a folder that doesn't contain that image.
I usually debug these kind of errors with Tamper Data, an addon for Firefox. Run it, then run your sfw (in a browser) and see what the location is of the called images. That should give you an idea on what's going wrong.
Oh and btw, e is not an Event but a MouseEvent. Though I don't think that produced the error in this case.

  • LocalConnection, error#2095, bad juju

Hello, first time writing. Apologies if the details are too
    vague (I'm trying) ...
Mac OSX 10.4 using Flash CS3 and AS3, Flash Player 9
I am attempting to use LocalConnection to communicate between
two .swf files (both opened in flash player instances).
One .swf acts as a sender, with one local connection object
    making send calls.
The other acts as a reciever, with one local connection
    object with itself as client.
    Basically, nothing fancy.
When I attempt to make a connection between the two open
    swfs, I get:
    Error #2044:Unhandled AsyncErrorEvent:. text= Error #2095:
    flash.net.LocalConne....
The rest is clipped by Flash Player's error window (by the
way does anyone know how to make those error messages wrap? or to
    create an error log file?).
I can't scroll through the text to make a copy, as all i'm
left with is the beach ball of death. I have to force quit Flash
    Player to do anything else.
So this is not so bad in itself, errors are bound to happen.
The bad thing is that, from that point on, I can't open any
.swf files which have LocalConnection objects that act as clients
(listening for connections). This extends to such Flash files that
attempt to load in browsers (tried Firefox and Safari, both hang).
Not just my swfs either. For example, LocalConnection tutorial
files that were working fine before fail to load as well. The only
way around seems to be to force quit Flash Player and restart the
OS (not just logout/login). This is obviously a terrible, terrible
    way to have to debug.
So, I was wondering if anyone knew of any services/processes
involved in LocalConnection on a Mac, and how to get things back in
order so I dont have to reboot everytime I attempt to compile? Does
anyone know of the kind of serious coding faux pas that could have
caused this? I have tried web searches, none that i found made
    mention of a system reboot.
    Help would be incredibly appreciated.
    Thanks so much!
    Kav
    EDIT:
Perhaps maybe you would like some code to see, if it helps.
Pardon the exorbitant library importing, lazy during initial
    coding.

I figured out what my problem was...
    app1 needed the following line: conn.client = this;
in order to receive the return message from app2.

  • CS5 - Text format for classic text error

will now have to re-edit every part.
Clearly you can get around this by other formats but fact is if you have a document that has negative spacing dont open it in CS5 cause you
This may have been in recent update.
Flash now resets them when you open the file to 0, if you notice or not.
when you have negative (-20) set in spacing, usually used when you have margins.
    Classic Text Error
    Flash CS5

    Here's a workaround.
FixTextIndent is a class with static methods that
provides a workaround for the Flash CS5 text formatting
bug.  The Flash CS5 IDE will not remember the text
indent setting for either static or dynamic text fields.
We can set the indent in Actionscript for dynamic fields,
so to use this class, convert your fields to dynamic,
    then set the left margin.
When you call FixTextIndent methods, they will set
the indent to the negative of the left margin.

    Hi
Since I can't reproduce your issue with some
    undefined code.
Just take a look at from
    Graphics.FromImage Method
      in MSDN  document.
You should always call the Dispose method to release the
Graphics and related resources created by the
FromImage method.  Please try and test it again.
If still can't resolve, please post the complete code.  Thanks.
    Have a nice day!

Hey Jack- Where did you find QuicTime 7.7 for Windows download?  I can't find v7.7, all Apple website links lead me to QT 7.6.9 as I noted here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3239439?tstart=0

  • Keep getting "renderable text" error when I need to OCR PDF's from FrameMaker.

My solution has been to individually extract all those pages, then open them up in Photoshop, flatten them and
widen the canvas size to standard 8.5 x 11.
But that's a little tedious and time-consuming and you have to delete the original page from your document, after
    importing the OCR-friendly page.
Is there a printer definition, or something you can set up when you're generating your PDF's in the first place,
that will get rid of that annoying "renderable text" error?

    Ok...
I don’t know how it happens but after I save my work in FrameMaker or MS Word, and print
to PDF for the final output, there are often pages with text in them that isn’t recognizable,
or that can’t be found with a CTRL+F search.
That is a serious issue, and one we might be able to help you with, but really, quite separate from the issue here. It's too late to try and fix this once it is a PDF.
What is it that’s lost when OCR is run?
Quality. Small file size. Tags (which might be required legally). Almost everything except the basic text, and that might also be lost given that OCR is not guaranteed to work. This is NOT the right way to solve your problem.
The translator doesn’t have any Adobe products except Reader, so I’m limited to Acrobat
to show her how the words and pictures are laid out on a page.
In order for her to copy and paste that text – or search it, to find all of the places where the
same word might be used – I need to make sure every word is there for her to grab.
I have heard of translators trying to work with PDFs, and few that succeed. You can reasonably expect a transation service to support FrameMaker. But if they don't I recommend you extract the text from FrameMaker to a simple Word or text file. They should be fine using the PDF as a visual reference, and having the text to translate, and for you to flow back into the original layout. (Again, something I'd expect a full service translation to do themselves, but there are advantages to keeping control too).
Those were the 2 pages that gave the ‘renderable text’ error. Don’t ask me why or how, they
look like all the other pages in that document. Except Acrobat thinks they’re scanned graphics,
that’s how they present when you wave the cursor around in them, hunting for text.
Renderable text is just text. It means that somewhere on that page there is text. Surely there is layout, page numbers, whatever from FrameMaker on the pages. If not, we really need to look at your production methods - back to the first point.

  • Error# -2095

I need help, have upgraded to itunes 6, with quicktime 6.5
and now everytime I try to open either, i get an error message ERROR#-2095. I have tried to upgrade quicktime, but keep getting told that the old version cannot be removed and the upgrade just breaks down.
And why is it impossible to email apple for an answer.
    PLEASE HELP. NO MUSIC!!!!!!!

I think I have fixed my computer - I had the same problem with the eror 2095. The way it finally let me get back into my music was to hit the Quicktime subject, then FAQ's for windows on Quicktime - "how to uninstall Quicktime" link and then follow from that to the download of the new quicktime. Don't know why it was any different but this let me get straight back into everything and the only difference that I can see is that I now have a prominent quicklaunch icon. good luck

  • Overset text error can't resolve

    Hi
I'm in ID CS5, and have an overset text error that I can't get to grips with. It says "Overset text: 1 characters" in the preflight box, and I've got a red box with a + sign at the exit to that page's text box. I've tried grabbing the existing text with the cursor and then using click plus alt, shift, and alt/shift to get whatever's overset to flow into the next page somehow, but nothing appears. The text I flowed to begin with is all there - that is to say the text finishes half a page clear of the end of the text frame and the cursor doesn't want to progress any further down any returns or spaces that are hiding there. Any suggestions as to whether this is a bug, or more likely an obvious point I've missed?
    Thanks.

Story editor has only hide/show changes option available, and doesn't appear to shed any light. When I pick up the supposedly overset text from the red +sign box on the left hand page and then flow it into the right hand page, I get the blue diagonal flow link line to indicate that the text is flowing, but all that I seem to be creating is an otherwise empty text frame on the right hand page (with an empty blue box at the bottom right to indicate that there's no more overset text), but this leaves me with a blank page for no reason. Aaagh!

    Hello,
In my bex query result the text ERROR is displayed beside the value of a keyfigure.
I'm not able to figure why this appears and how to find the error.
    Thanks.

This is due to the absense of unit/currency against the key figure in the info provider.
Maitain the currency/unit and then run the report. This should rectify the report error.

    *Cause:    The stored procedure 'raise_application_error'
was called which causes this error to be generated.
*Action:   Correct the problem as described in the error message or contact
the application administrator or DBA for more information.
using oracle 10gr2 on windows server 2003
i have tried 1)dropping the index and creating it again, the index type is "CTXSYS"."CTXCAT"
    2) deleting the stats -checking
    3)recreating the stats- checking
the table here is a materialized view
i need to tell you people that
there are two indexes cat_types_ind and cat_ids_idx on cat_types and cat_ids columns respectively
the inner query uses cat_types_idx index when executed and seen in sqladvisor
1)removing the order by clause will make the query work but i really want that order by clause
    2)the inner-query-only works fine
    3) i have seen the forums and they have helped regarding the things i tried above but it does not work
please tell me if i need to further elaborate on anything
    thanks in advance

I have same problem, my query is:
    SELECT *
    FROM
    (SELECT
    /*+ FIRST_ROWS(50) */
    NTQ.*,
    ROWNUM RNUM1
    FROM
    (SELECT
    /*+ INDEX(DL_TSD_DEFTR_CI) */
    FROM ima_ol.DL_TSD_SITUATION s
    WHERE (CATSEARCH(DEF_TRANS,'milano ',NULL)>0)
    AND (s.FORECAST = 0)
    AND (s.STATE IN (1,0,4))
    AND (s.ARCH_STATE = 0)
    ORDER BY s.VET_TS DESC
    ) NTQ
    WHERE ROWNUM <=50
    WHERE RNUM1 >=1
    my oracle and system version:
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
    "CORE     11.1.0.7.0     Production"
TNS for Solaris: Version 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
I have suggested that to solve the problem I should alter the statistics of the offending table to force to use this index .. how do I do? thanks in advance
