Unhappy with Apple Care

I bought my iPhone 4 in september of 2011 on a contract. Ever since i had the phone, it kept freezing and i had to turn it of and back on again. This wasnt an inconveniane at first until i really neaded it most ofthe day. So last week i had holiday time when i didnt need my phone. So i sent my iPhone to apple through their repair service, With bothe a back cover and front screen protector on. I have just recieved my phone back and they have removed the screen protector and the back protector and i see that their is scratches all across my screen. These where definatly not there when i sent itoff because i have had a proector on sice i bought the phone. And on the other had they still didnt fix my original problem The phone froze after about 30 minutes of use. Apple only had the phone for a day, which isnt long enough for them to see it freeze. Sometime it will not freeze for a couple of days or sometine it can freeze a few time a day. These are very expesive phones so we expect some quality customer service.

Call them back and ask for an advance replacement, where they send you a new iPhone and you then send yours back. Normally they'll charge a fee, but given the situation as you report it, I would think that you'd have grounds for asking them to waive that fee. If the technician can't grant that, ask to speak with someone in Customer Relations and talk to them about the issue.
Regards.

  • Can someone help me with apple care email id?

Please help me with apple care email..

I believe Express Lane can provide live chat via email. At least this is what I've just been told by someone in Applecare Agreements Administraton. Haven't tried it myself because right now there's a system glitch and it's not accepting my particular serial #.

I've been seeing this kind of often. I think there's some misunderstanding about the use of Helpful and Correct. Don't know why; I would have thought it would be perfectly clear.

I bought iphone from Canada but now I'm in Thailand and I already upgraded to ios6 but It doesn't work well.I couldn't turn on wifi and back up on icloud so I want to know how can I do with my iphone because no apple store in Thailand. Can I send it to any apple care which is easy and near my country? Thank you.

You can find a local shop and pay to get it fixed or you will need to send the phone to someone you know in Canada and have them take the phone into Apple for service. Then they will need to ship the phone back to you. The warranty is based in the original country of purchase.
Decide which is your best option.

  • Problem with Apple Care Registration Process

My MacBook warranty will expire pretty soon. So, I ordered my Apple Care Protection Plan from Apple online store in Thailand since September 9, 2009. It arrived this morning (September 15, 2009).
When I try to register Apple care for my machine, Problem was starting. I do following on screen process, put my Macbook Serial No. and Apple Care Protection Plan registration No from package. Screen Show "We're sorry, but this registration number is not valid. Please check your information and try again."
I tried to contact Apple Care representative in Thailand. He was kindly enough to ask Apple online Store about this. He came back with answer that there are some problems about Apple care registration and I have to wait for week for response!!
Why product from apple online have this kind of problem? And customer have to wait for one week without knowing anything!!

You should be fine. The good thing is 1) you bought it from Apple and 2) you have contacted them about it before your initial warranty expired. Just be sure to follow up with them. If you haven't done so... you may want to give them a call back just to get a case number so you can have something to reference in case they don't get the problem sorted out before you warranty expires.

  • Macbook pro retina display 15 inch ram upgrade with apple care

    hi,
I have a early 2013 Macbook Pro Retina Display 15 inch.
Doing some research, i do realized that RAMs are not upgradeable due to being embedded to motherboard.
I was hoping if there any chance to upgrade my RAM from 8 gb to 16 gb through Apple Care that i currently have.
I would love to hear back any feed backs on any possible way to upgrade your RAMS in MPR 15 inch.
    thank you much!!!

    thumbmania,
It's impossible for anyone - Apple included - to upgrade the RAM on a Retina MacBook Pro. With those machines, you have to live with what you originally purchased.
    Sorry,

  • What is wrong with Apple Care ?

    I am a Apple user since 1980 ! not yesterday ...
and I have been using Apple Care for quite a long time with good satisfaction...until something changed in the way customers are treated.
I believe Apple should really take care of that kind of problem to make sure customers will not run away ...
I had a problem with my DVDplayer on 10.6.2
I called Apple care and talked to someone who I realized quickly was totally incompetent, and had to go to a supervisor to ask for answers she did not have.
Let me briefly describe the problem and provide her answers....
One of my own DVDs plays fine on another Mac, and on a home DVD player
    -the problem
I need to play it on the new OS
Upon loading I see the icon of the disk on my desktop and the icon of DVD player at the bottom of the screen...but it does not play any video. At the best it plays the audio of the home page. But no way to do anything with the DVD player commands, even after loading the DVD via the menu "load media"
In my opinion, the person to whom I talk has never use a DVD on a computer in her own life ! Anyway she ask me about the format of the files, and does not a thing about these file formats.
She even wants me to open the DVD files with Quiktime before asking her "competent" colleague...
Of course it does not do a thing
There she goes and she s back after ten good minutes !
-the answer that was given to me after the" first filter" came back with the answer from a "higher level technician"
Sir, the format that you indicated is not a good format for DVD files; They must be in the from
    DOT M... O... V....
No madam, ;mov is not a DVD file format VOB yes not MOV
Then sir we cannot help you. I am sorry
After getting really nervous and requesting talking to someone truly competent I finally got in touch with a high level technician who suggested me to reinstall OS ....
    As simple as that !
I am wondering why I paid so much for Apple Care ...
    Is it falling apart ?
    Was I lucky before ?
Any one willing to comment ?
    Ivan

Based on your subject and the content, I though you were looking for comments on AppleCare.
I didn't have much hope for finding a simple solution, either, if that's any consolation.
My first try would have been to remove the DVDPlayer plist and see if that would help. However, it sounded like some component was missing. You might have been able to find something in the Console logs referencing a missing item when you tried to play the DVD.
Short of reinstalling the DVD player only using Pacifist, I thought we might end up doing the whole reinstall. It may be possible to just install DVD player in the optional or additional installs; I didn't crack it open to investigate. DVD Player may also depend on other components, though, so we probably would have spent as much time trying to figure it out as it took to reinstall.
Essentially, unless we've seen it before and know the precise cause, or there is a good message in the logs, there aren't quick solutions.

  • Time Capsule with Apple Care?

    Hey guys,
My girlfriend bought a mac three months ago along with the extended apple care. For her birthday, Im thinking of getting her a time capsule so she has everything backed up. I read on the time capsule site that it is covered under a mac warranty but I am a little confused by the wording.
Will the time capsule I buy next month, be covered by the apple care that she currently has on her mac? (Runs out Nov 2014)
    Thanks

I don't claim to be an expert on that subject, but as I understand it, a Time Capsule bought with a Mac that has AppleCare will be covered by AppleCare.  I"m not sure that applies to a Time Capsule bought later.  In any case, the one-year warranty would apply.

  • I just bought a used macbook pro, with Apple Care.  How do I transfer AC into my name?

I just bought a MBP from a private party.  It has Apple Care until Oct. 2012.  Do I need to transfer AC into my name or does it just remain with the MBP regardless of who owns it?  If I need to transfer it, does anyone know how I go about doing it?  Thanks.
    Tom

  • Selling iPhone with Apple Care Protection Plan, Transfer required?

I am selling my old iPhone 3Gs (just upgraded to the 4s : D ) and it has two months of Apple Care Protection Plan left on it. I was wondering if it was necessary to transfer ownership of Apple Care Plan. The reason I ask is I cannot find my original receipt for the iPhone, nor the Apple Care paperwork, though I do have the original box with UPC.
I have heard people say that the Apple Care Plan follows the phone and not the owner, therefore the new owner would have no trouble getting service on this phone. However, when I tried to request service (just to see if he could do it) it asked me to log in with an Apple ID. I am wondering if the new owner entered his ID, could he request service? Or would it have to be my Apple ID?
    So I have two Questions:
    1) Do I really need to transfer the plan over to the new owner for him to be able to get service?
    2) Do you think apple would even transfer the plan without the Apple Care documentation, or the original iPhone purchase reciept?
Thanks in advance for the help

Is the AppleCare Protection Plan transferable? = Yes.

  • Scratched on the back of my MacBook Pro, can I get this fixed with Apple Care?

    Hello community,
today I found out there are some scatches in the back my aluminum MacBook Pro. There is one fairly deep scratch. This has probably happened in my backpack since I use it for school.
My question is: is this something Apple Care will help me fix? If not, how much will it cost to get a completely new back.
    Regards,
    Alwin.

That damage is not covered by AppleCare.

  • What to do with apple care when giving away my mac

I am giving my Mac to a friend. I have apple care for another year on the machine and Iam wondering if I have to transfer my warranty over to her name if she wants to take it in for repairs.

You are not required to transfer the AppleCare plan to the new owner. If you wish you may cancel the plan and receive a pro-rated refund. See the Terms and Conditions of AppleCare document on Apple's web site.
Note that the document also has instructions for how to transfer the plan to the new owner if you decide to do so.
