Unhappy with new software...get 4.2.10 back??

I am unhappy with the newest iphone software update...is there a way to get the 4.2.10 back??!

darn it! thank you... maybe you can also answer this one...I have it set to do the old style of alerts for texts, the little blue box, but when the screen is locked, it does the slide thing...any answer as to if it does that while locked or just when using the phone?

If the sign does not go away it has not completed the restore. So you are incorrect when you say it "keeps completing the restore" if that message is still displayed.
Do you get an error message? If so, what is the error number?

Same thing happened here ~ tech guy at a local authorized Apple repair store said it had something to do with improper backup from which the restore would be made. Still have a phone that asks to be connected to Itunes but won't do anything else . . . frustrated.

The Music app is ridiculously messed up ... if you use it enough, you will come across these issues which can only be addressed by an iOS update.

IPhone 4 will not update with new software

I can't get my iPhone 4 to update with the new software. I keep getting an error message that says there is a promblem downloading the software and the network connection timed out. Make sure the network settings are correct and your network connection is active. I reset my network connection, which did nothing to help. What next?

try to restore....its the same as update.....i did that and worked prefect........make sure to back up all your files!!!!

Itunes won't update nano with new software version

Since the new software update has become available (which I'm hoping might fix my multiples in cover flow issue) I've tried on multiple occasions over a few days to download and install the update on my new nano 4th Gen.
It goes through the licence agreement bit and says it's downloading and will instal when it's done. However after a few minutes it gives an error message that the connection with the itunes server has timed out. It says check your connections and such but all is fine, even itunes own diagnostic connection test is all fine.
I've even tried the restore option but that just dies on it's attempt to get new software too and doesn't get anywhere.
I'm pretty good with computers but this one's now got me stumped.
Anyone got any ideas?

Are you using a dial-up or broadband internet connection? If your using a dial-up connection, that might be your problem. If your using a broadband connectin and your getting this problem, you might just want to contact technical support.

MS Exchange calendar no longer syncs with new software upgrade for LG Lucid

Recently downloaded new software for LG Lucid.
Seemed to go well. Mail, OK. Contacts, OK.
Google calendar syncs.
Calendar, won't sync with Outlook. It used to before the upgrade.
Sync buttons are checked in 'accounts'.
Anyone else having this issue?

Its a bummer that the Exchange no longer works since the OS update. Can you elaborate on what happens when you try to establish a connection? Have you tried removing and readding the exchange account? Please keep me posted if this continues.

TS1559 why are 4s's not working with new software and apple won't come good

I have a iphone 4s with the new update is making my phone slow and the wifi is not working. 200.00 to fix it. I have apple laptop, desktop, 4 iphones two 4s and two 5c's and they will not fix what their update did to my phone. Any feed back to help resolve this would be appreciated. I put it in the freezer( an online solution), restarted it to factory settings, reset my wifi and nothing everyone one says there are many 4s's that are doing this since the new software. Sounds like they just want you to buy new phones and my contract is not up for one year with my provider, I am very frustrated and disappointed.

No intelligetent person puts electronics in the freezer.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). If none of this resolves, then the device should be taken to Apple for evaluation.
If Apple determines the device has suffered a hardware failure, they will either replace under warranty (if under warranty) or offer an Out of Warranty replacement.
So what exactly is the problem? They offered an Out of Warranty replacement for the defective device.

Yes... it will come with either 5.01 or 5.1 installed... most likely 5.1 as it's been out for several weeks.
Apple does not have huge warehouses of merchandise just sitting around, it's likely the new iPhone 4 you just purchased came off of a cargo ship or out of a cargo plane within the last month directly from the factory.

Refurb AppleTV with new software?

I ordered a refurbished Apple TV yesterday and noticed that all orders for Apple TV are coming with the new software and don't have to wait on the Software Updater in 2 weeks.
Does this include the refurbs? I'm not entirely certain what's included or not included with a refurb or if it has been sitting on a shelf with no special treatment...

Whether it comes loaded with Apple TV 2.0 software won't matter, it is a free update. It might suck to wait 2 weeks, but I've been waiting since November (at least). The software update is painless.
