Unicode solution in CRM 4.0

Hi all,
what does unicode solution in CRM 4.0 mean. In mobile sales or in people centric UI , will in the same screen 2 differenct languages are displayed like chinese and japanese are displayed on the same screen.
when will the customer implement unicode solution.

Activate Scenarios with Solution Builder CRM Best Practices V1.2007

Hi,
I finished all steps in Quickguide for CRM Best Practices V1.2007 until the end.
All worked fine without any problem.
Now I want to activate a scenario.
1. In the field Workbench I get a list of 15 Request/Task, I`m only able to select one.
2. In the field Customizing I do not get any values.
3. How to maintain this fields?
3. Do I have to create a customizing request?
Can anybody tell me how to proceed with this step? I copied the standard solution to my favorite Solution and marked seven scenarios.
Perhaps there is a another documentation than Solution_Builder_Quick_Start_V4

Hi Andreas,
In the same popup window, at the bottom, you will find options to create work bench and customising requests.
You can assign only one workbench and one customizing request for all the activities of solution builder.
If you do not have an existing customizing request, choose the option to create one.

Import Solution from CRM 2015 online to CRM 2015 on premise faild Error: {1}{0}

Hi,
i was trying to import a solution into a crm 2015 on premise System which I've exported from a crm online system (also CRM 2015 without the last Update).
On the crm server I do have Administrators rights.
When I try to Import the solution I get the erro Message
error: {1}{0}
Does anybody know, how I can get the information why this error occures?

CRM 2013 online - deploy a 2015 solution package to crm 2013

We have staging online CRM upgraded to 2015 already, however, the prod CRM still stays in version 2013 during this transition time. We developed some functions in staging CRM, such as new attributes, web resources, workflows, etc, and packaged
them into a solution. When we imported the solution to production(2013), we had the error saying '...invalid XML in package...'. Is there any way to fix it? Thanks.

So if I have got it right, you want to export your solution from CRM 2015 to CRM 2013 which is your production. Unfortunately you cant do this as any solution exported from a newer version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM (which is crm 2015 in your case)
cannot be imported into an older version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM (which is CRM 2013 in your case).

How can I change the Solution Manager to Unicode?

I have a no-Unicode Solution Manager... to make this system Unicode I need to re-install the system again or I can do this with some process or notes?

The best resource for these procedures is http://service.sap.com/instguides. Every installation guide normally has a section near the end that describes the uninstall procedure. In a Windows environment, it is done through Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs. In a Unix environment, it is done using SAPINST.
The difference between Unicode and non-unicode during the installation is the check box that appears during the parameter entry. By default, it is normally checked to indicate that this will be a Unicode installation.

CRM Solution Imported - Undo Applied Changes

I'm new guy on CRM and I was working with CRM 2011 and I wanted to know if is possible to undo all changes that was applied when imported an unmanager solution.
My idea was to delete the solution that was added, but all changes still remain.

Unfortunately, changes applied after importing an unmanaged solution cant be rolled back as it over rides all the changes previously made. You can also refer this great blog by Ben for better understanding of Solutions in CRM.

Performance Problems after migration to unicode

Hello,
we have migrated our crm40sp6/msa-system to unicode. But now system is very slow, and the greater problem is that when we replicate via modem and conntrans I often get connection error while receiving data. And when I receive some data, the mas-client is very slowly to import the data. I often do not get all data so that I have to replicate repeatedly.
Before unicode I didn't have this problems.
Does anyone have the same experince with crm/msa-unicode ?

You have mentioned that the system is migrated to CRM 4.0 unicode. What do you mean by unicode. Are u able to see in the MAS client several languages in the same screen in CRM 4.0.
I heard that CRM 4.0 is a unicode system but I don't think still you could see different languages in the same screen. For eg display japanese, chinese and english in the same screen.
For your information search on OSS notes you will get a note for Unicode which needs to be applied. Also in general the unicode solution is comparitevly slow when data is transfered from Middleware to mobile client via conntrans as the data is transfered in the XML format which contains more information than the regualar RFC format.

CRM 7.0 (BSP_WD_CMPWB) problems

Hi Experts,
We got newly CRM 7.0 version installed for development. I am facing some problems in CRM 7.0.
I want enhance the component with Z fields in CRM 7.0. I added Z fields with EEWB.
I want to write code for pick list in V method of the Z attribute. I tried to create V method for one of Z fields, it has generated V method structure successfully
But when I try to generate Getter and Setter methods itu2019s giving runtime error. (Exception condition "COMPONENT_NOT_EXISTING" raised)
Standard or default configuration or Custom configurations are also not showing Z fields when I click on u2018show Available Fieldsu2019 link. But those Z attributes are appearing in View Structureu2019s node. However these attributes are not generating methods.
I worked with CRM 2007 IDES. I dint faced this issue in CRM 2007 IDES; I have successfully created Z fields trough EEWB and added Z fields to Web UI trough Configuration. I was able to generate the all the methods in CRM 2007 IDES.
Can anybody please give solution about CRM 7.0 problems as I ma facing. Is there any settings or prerequisites has to done for CRM 7.0?
Or any thing I am missing please fulfill my concern.
I tried to search this issue in Forums but there is no remedy has provided as such.

I want choose my own ZPackage here. But I couldnu2019t see any option to change it.

Functional upgrade 5.0 to CRM 2007/7.0 .

Could any one tell me what are the minimum customizations/configs needs to be done in CRM 2007/7.0 during upgrade from CRM 5.0 . Becoz some of the functionalities like UI migration can not be done automatically hence Web Client UI need to be configured manually ,also as there is lot of difference between CRM 2007/7.0 and lot of new functionalites are added in the new version It might require huge amout of functional enhancement efforts are required during of updgrade to CRM 7.0/2007 .
Could any one tell me what are the mandatory functional migration activties required during upgrade to CRM 7.0 also what are the different customizations/configs required in order to availa better use of the newly introduced functionalities in the latest release .
