Uninstall downloaded version of Dreamweaver CS3
I purchased Dreamweaver CS4, downloaded and installed it. Now
I'd like to get rid of the Dreamweaver CS3 files. Trying to
uninstall via Windows control panel does not work since it requires
the original installation disks. I'd like to recover the 209 MB on
my disk. What should I do? Just delete the files in the Program
file directory? I am worried I'd delete some shared
components.
That's really odd that it requires the disk to uninstall.
There is a CS3 clean tool, and it wipes all instances of the Adobe
software clean. I'm not sure if it will affect your CS4
installation. To be on the safe side, deactivate CS4 before
proceeding in case it affects CS4 and needs to be reinstalled.

I need to uninstall downloaded version of Elements 12 on a computer, then install Elements 12 on the same computer directly from a disk. Elements 11 was previously used on same computer, and the albums and library had been moved to the first installation of 12, which I am removing. How do I correctly unstall the old Elements 12, and install the new elements 12 from disk, and retain all albums and libraries from the old Elements 12?
You're welcome. It was not an answer, it was a question, and it could lead to being helpful if you explain why you think you need to uninstall.
As far as uninstalling goes, you will uninstall it like you do for any program, which depends on what kind of operating system you have. If you wish to retain albums and whatnot, maybe the following link can provide some guidance.

I find that the older version of Dreamweaver (CS3) works best for me.
I have used all new updated versions of Adobe Dreamweaver. Usually an update would make things easier for me but in this case it is the complete opposite. Don't get me wrong, Dreamweaver is still my primary choice for developing a website. I just find that for instance, Dreamweaver CS3 is more user friendly than CS5 & CS6 for example. Currently I'm working on a new website called [link removed]. It is where [link removed] , web store owners and unemployed individuals can try to find success to their needs. It is basically a one-stop spot to complete multiple tasks online and start generating a profit. It is like combining Etsy, Elance and SimplyHired into one. I created it all using Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 because I found it easier. That's just my opinion guys. What do you think?
IE has been HTML5 compliant since IE9. There are still old goofy hold overs (like the automatic border on linked images) that you have to deal with, but its ability to render HTML5 elements is solid. CSS3 is a bit of a different story, IE9 was pretty bad, 10 was much better and 11 is pretty much a "modern browser" for its ability to render everything correctly, finally (thankfully and mercifully).
All of the other major browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Android, Mobile Safari and Opera,) have been largely HTML5 compliant for years with just a few oddities left in obscure CSS3 attributes.
With the HTML5 shiv/modernizers available for IE7 and 8 added to the code to help them with the "new" semantic tags like <header>, <aside>, <article>, etc, I agree with Nancy, there's no reason to not use HTML5 going forward. -
In Need of Serious Help. Looking for Trial Versions of Dreamweaver CS3
Hello there,
What I thought was going to be super easy is turning into a
HUGE problem. I'm currently taking a Web Design course and we are
using Dreamweaver CS3. I have two assignments due on Wednesday. To
make a long story short, I'm desepartely looking for a 30 day trial
os Dreamweaver CS3 but I can't find one. Apparently Dreamweaver CS4
is coming out soon. Any ideas? I'm in a pickle.
Thank you!
AlyAnd then spend a week using malware removers to remove
everything that you
unwittingly installed when you installed the 'dodgy copy'? No
thanks. And
what about the zombies that malware removers don't find? NO
THANKS.
Go to the bookstore, and find a DW CS3 book that contains a
demo on the CD
included. At least then you won't be loading your computer
with bad actors.

Upgrade Dreamweaver 8 Educational Version to Dreamweaver CS3
Hello,
I have two questions:
1. I currently have Dreamweaver 8 EDUCATIONAL VERSION; I need
to upgrade to CS3 EDUCATIONAL VERSION. Is it possible to upgrade
educational software or should I just buy CS3?
2. If I do buy CS3, will I have to uninstall Dreamweaver 8 (
I currently have Studio 8 and Web Bundle 2)
Thank YOU!!!!> 1. I currently have Dreamweaver 8 EDUCATIONAL VERSION; I

for a correct answer, you'll have to check with the people at
the adobe
online store customer service or with an authorized academic
outlet.

You won't have to uninstall- the new software will go into a
different
folder and won't interfere or overwrite anything from the
previous version.
You can still use the prior version, but if on windows you
can't run it at
the same time you have cs3 open. You can manually uninstall
it or parts of
it if you wish to save HD space.

Need to download version of Dreamweaver for Windows 8.1, don't want CC version
I lost my old Dreamweaver MX version when my Windows XP PC died. I have Windows 8.1 now and only need a simple version of DW to download for occasional use. I don't want to use CC with its monthly service charge. How can I download even an old version of DW that is compatible? I found http://macromedia-dreamweaver.xtremedownload.com/ for DW 8 but don't know if it's trustworthy. Please help!
Adobe only sells current versions of their products. The only other version available thru Adobe is Dreamweaver CS6 which you can purchase thru the following page: Creative Suite 6
If you want an older version then you will have to take chances with potentially questionable third party vendors such as you already found. It is doubtful anyone here will recommend any third party sellers. -
Upgrade vs Full version of Dreamweaver CS3
Several questions:
1. I have DW MX 2004. If I upgrade to CS3 is it the same as
if I purchased a full new version of CS3? Will it function with
other users who have the new full version CS3 on their machines.
2. If CS3 upgrade is the way to go. I presently have MX 2004
on my laptop and on my desktop. Will I be able to install the
upgrade CS3 on both machines?
Thanks

Does phone support exist? Customer service? The airspeed velocity of an un-laiden Swallow?
Thanks everybody… I killed the process again in Task manager after trying compatibility modes… noticed something glaring at me as I killed the process. 32 bit. Old workstation on Win7 that was working was 32 bit and the Win8.1 is (drumroll please) 64 bit. MY guess is that if Adobe killed the ability for this to run it would have failed upon an attempt to activate, not upon launch. I think Nancy might have hit it on the head. Let me stew on this for a bit if I really want to pay more for features I already paid for once.

Installing Dreamweaver CS3 re-download
I purchased a downloadable version of Dreamweaver CS3 in Fall 2007. I got a new Mac recently because the old one crashed. I re-downloaded DW CS3. The installer starts OK but during the installation I get a message to insert a disk to continue installation. I obviously don't have a disk. Any suggestions?
No you don't have to edit the sites that you did with DW MX
after you installed DW CS3. But you do need to redo the remote
server information in
the SIte Manager and you need to initialize your Extensions.
I have both DW MX and DW CS3 and I switch back and forth
sometimes for a site. SO the data in the remote site remains the
same. -

DReamweaver CS3 tryout question
I have installed the tryout version of Dreamweaver CS3 on my
computer.
Is there a way to make a "custom" installation? Presently it
just installs everything without giving the opportunity to make
selections, except for the installation location and the file
associations. Is this because I am dealing with a tryout, or would
I have the exact same procedure if I were to buy the "boxed"
edition?
As I already have Photoshop CS2 installed, I already have its
version of Bridge installed. So, now I find myself with 2 Bridges.
Is this OK? Is there a way to uninstall one of them?
Also, the tryout version installs something called "Bonjour
Service" Can anybody tell me what is the function of this
application? What does it do exactly? Do I need it?
Thanks to allThere is no way to alter the installation process,
unfortunately.
And Bonjour is a way for DW to discover any online network
servers for
VersionCue, even though the latter app doesn't work in CS3.
Unfortunate....
