Well, you could if your serial number was for a Mac. The serial numbers are platform specific (Mac/Win).
With that issue not being considered, you would "deactivate" on one of your previous computers (as you mentioned), then install on another.

Hi all,
I was hoping to purchase a new MacBook Pro laptop very soon and I want to put my Photoshop CS6 Extended on it.
I have put my Photoshop on 2 computers, both being Windows Vistas, and was wondering if I could deactivate and uninstall only ONE of them, and put it on the MacBook.
I have had the program for a year now.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Could not complete your request because of a program error.

When starting Photoshop CS6 I get this error message, Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Could not complete your request because of a program error (-- OK --). This happens on the main screen immediately. Once I click OK the program seems to be alright. But some part of it, that I haven't discovered yet, may not function properly.
I am running Windows7 Professional Service Pack 1 64 bit with Intel i7-4770k CPU and 16 GIG Ram.
This problem just started recently, everything has been fine up till now. I must have done something when trying to defragment the Registry or get rid of temp files.
I have uninstalled Photoshop CS6 and reinstalled it with no effect. I have tried to run Photoshop CS6 32 bit in Safe Mode, but it will not run. It hangs up on Reading Memory.
Is there any kind log file that would tell me what is causing this to occur?
Does anyone know what might cause this?

Did you reset your Preferences and Photoshop tools. Photoshop Preferences are not removed with an un-install and an Install does not install preferences. Preferences are created for a user id when a user ID start Photoshop and there are no preferences for the user ID.

I am running a TRIAL VERSION of Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended on MAC and Bridge does not open. It did open when I first downloaded it - but now a black question mark is over the BR icon and it does not open up. Any ideas from anyone?

I just thought it was interesting and helpful to me to learn that the icon for Bridge does not appear anywhere. Not in Application Folder. Not in the Finders Directory Files. I see your point - if I could locate that icon - I'd be set by dragging it onto my DOCK and launching it from there.
So - I'm assuming I need to uninstall CS6. Please list all the steps for me to uninstall so that I don't miss any CS6 files.
When I search in FINDER for CS6 uninstall- I see two icons - red adobe "UNINSTALL ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6" (both files are identical) Under KIND they both say Alias - with two different dates they were last opened (in November - few minutes apart). Is that what I use to uninstall completely all the files related to PS CS6 Extended as well as Bridge?
Do I need to DEACTIVATE ANYTHING ANYWHERE?
DOES ANYTHING NEED TO GO INTO TRASH.
I just want to make sure 'everything' related to CS6 Extended is off my computer and out of all the files. In the event i want to re-install - naturally I don't want to run into any conflicting 'issues'.

I note on the forums - going a few years back - that there have been a lot of issues related to this same problem - even in other versions of the Creative Suite. Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended 64-Bit GPU Acceleration Stopped Working

I've been using Photoshop CS6 Extended 64-bit when one day the GPU acceleration features stopped working. I closed the application and restarted it and the GPU acceleration still didn't work. I couldn't rotate the canvas or use scrubby zoom. I rebooted my system and it still wasn't working. I check my performance preferences and my graphics processor was detected with the "Use Graphics Processor" box checked. I unchecked it and rechecked but the GPU acceleration still wasn't working. I uninstalled Photoshop CS6 and reinstalled it. I got the GPU acceleration to work opening the application right after the install. I close Photoshop CS6 64-bit and reopened it and the GPU acceleration wasn't working again. I am able to use GPU acceleration features in Photoshop CS6 32-bit with no problem. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Ultimate Edition and I have a GeForce 280m GTX GPU. Would there be anyone out there who can help me with this issue. Thanks.

From what I gathered on this Forum there is a good chance that it may be related to the driver – unfortunately it could be either becasuse it’s obsolete or a bad new version.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended on a Mac i5

I installed the trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended on my Mac i5 and it installed as Abobe Photoshop CS6? (the standard version) I have tried everything but haven't been able to come up with an answer.

I don't have a 3D menu, it ended up installing as the standard version of CS6.
I had a copy of CS5 Extended prior to this trial version, that has been uninstalled and I have used the cleaner to get rid of all the left overs etc in other part of the drive.
The splash screen say Photoshop CS6 without the Extended.

3D Menu not displayed Photoshop CS6 Extended

Hi all,
I have just installed Photoshop CS6 Extended from adobe.com as the trial, but after installing it I don't see the 3D menu at the top.
I have tried reinstalling several times but still no 3D menu.
I have a ASUS GTX550Ti graphics card with 1gb of ram so I thought this would be sufficiunt.
Also running windows 7 64bit.
Any help appreciated.

People report this from time to time. Adobe's response has been along the lines of "of course the trial will show you the 3D menu", ignoring the fact that a user is reporting that it doesn't.
Did you get the Photoshop trial software directly from Adobe.com?
It's not a problem with your hardware being insufficient, because if the GPU or OS/driver weren't up to the task the 3D menu would be there, just grayed-out. That you're not seeing it says that the installer has done something wrong and has set up the trial to run as the Standard edition somehow.
Unfortunately, no one has reported a sure way to make the Extended features show up in the trial so far, since mostly the problem has been dodged, but here's what I'd suggest.
Uninstall the trial, then run the Adobe Create Suite Cleaner Tool, then try a reinstall.

Uneven pen pressure in Photoshop CS6 Extended with Wacom Intuos5

I got Photoshop CS6 Extended recently, but the lines I draw in it aren't smooth, like they should be (example below).
The tablet produces perfect lines in any other bit of software (Flash, ToonBoom, etc.), but not Photoshop. I've tried lots of different solutions (uninstalling and reinstalling it, reverting back to an earlier driver, clearing preferences, etc.), to no avail. Oddly, my Intuos3 works fine in Photoshop, for a few minutes, before it crashes. If I try to adjust the Wacom Tablet Properties for CS6, it doesn't recognize any changes, but if I adjust the settings for Photoshop CS4, it does. All Wacom Drivers are up-to-date.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be most appreciated.

I've tried all of the above and had no results. I have the exact same issue as you, specially when working with a big brush. Even in the tablet settings panel I can see the sensitivity display go nuts after a certain threshold over 30% of pressure. I tend to use the hardest possible. At this point I think it's probably a hardware problem with the pen or tablet surface but still, I had an intuos 3 for many years without any trouble and the intuos 5 is giving me problems now . Also I replied to you becouse this was kind of the only part of the internet where I could find the exact same issue with a screencap of it. thank's in advance to anyone that have a workaround or news about this!!!

Photoshop CS6 is downloaded even though the link states Photoshop CS6 Extended.

A few days ago or so, I had downloaded Photoshop CS6 from the official Adobe site here (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop), and wanted to only test it out. However, I did a very stupid thing and uninstalled all my Microsoft Visual C++ products, not knowing that these were important for Photoshop. Anyways, Photoshop was having all errors etc. and I had to uninstall it (the 30 days weren't over yet, by the way). Now I have downloaded the Microsoft C++ products again, and I wanted to download Photoshop CS6 Extended again - it all was installed it perfectly, but when I opened the program, it was just Photoshop CS6 and not Photoshop CS6 Extended (and I want it because of the 3D options etc.) - and I was using the same download link from above. So, why has it downloaded the "wrong" product now?

The installation is one and the same software, only a serial number differentiates the feature set.
It's not supposed to be able to show you just non-Extended features in evaluation mode, however. I don't honestly know what to advise, other than maybe to do a full and complete removal, including use of Adobe's Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, then install it yet again. Perhaps trying to run it in a damaged state triggered some of the GPU detection logic to fail and deconfigure Photoshop's use of the GPU.
Since it is allowing you to continue your evaluation period, there's hope.

Photoshop CS6 Extended (via creative cloud) Flashes when clicking on canvas and ..

photoshop cs6 extended (64bit) flashes black when clicking on canvas or on a layer. I can't get anything done, I have already uninstalled and reinstalled... all other Creative Cloud apps work fine.
I';m using windows 8.
If anyone has any idea of what is going on or can help in any way, please let me know.

That is a known bug in Windows 8. We're working with the GPU vendors and Microsoft to get it fixed.
In the meantime you can set the Photoshop GPU mode to "Basic".
If you have an AMD GPU, you probably want their 13.2 beta drivers.

Photoshop CS6 Extended Download not Functioning

Hi all. I have attempted to download Photoshop CS6 Extended trial, however, once the install is completed, it's just the standard version. WHERE can I download the Extended Version??? Thank you!

Wow, what a geeky package that cleaner tool is... It starts out by prompting for English or Japanese, then dumps an entire EULA to the CMD window, which scrolls off the top and can't possibly be read, then just asks ''yes or no''. I assume that question is asking whether you agree to the EULA. After that the prompts are pretty straightforward.
Looks like it did a pretty thorough job, leaving nothing in the Photoshop install areas or a few other places I looked.
Notably the installer still knew my Adobe ID and saved password during the reinstall. Fortunately the reinstall took only a few moments.
In answer to your question: It seems to have worked just fine. I still have the same amount of time left in the trial as before the uninstall.

Crash - Windows 8.1 Photoshop CS6 Extended

After an english Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended install, it just refuses to work: crashes after seconds of startup. After so many crashes I think Photoshop moved the plugins, because they are not in the main folder anymore.
Event Viewer doesn't report anything strange.

Photoshop cs6 extended Installation stops at 45% continuously

As it says...
Photoshop cs6 extended Installation stops at 45% continuously.
I have previuosly downloaded and started a trail some days ago...then uninstalled it...now wanting to reinstall it...doesn't work. Stops at 45% and the computer start laging

It seems useless to keep Photoshop CS6 extended version installed on my computer, now that I have installed as well, the CC version. Right ?

It's totally up to you whether you want to have both Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC installed, or just the CC version. Either is fine

Should we uninstall Creative Cloud CS6 before installing Creative Cloud CC?
Can I install both CC and CS6 apps with my Creative Cloud membership?

My Photoshop CS6 Extended did not transfer properly from Macbook to iMac. It was treated as a trial and now I am being asked to 'buy' it.

I have run into this before. Click on "license this product" on the Trial countdown screen.
Sign in if asked with your Adobe ID/Password The Cloud is an option for those who do not have a serial number license. It isn't mandatory.
Then look for the "I have a serial number" option.
And enter it from there and activate. Your trial should convert to Photoshop Standard or Extended depending on the serial number.
Of course migrating or restoring from Time Machine does break licensing.
So aside from uninstall, run the Cleaner tool Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
and use Disk Utility to verify your disk and run a "Repair Permissions" before install.
