That is what i thought. I think there should be a way to uninstall the addon/component.
I was trying to figure out this and could'nt find any document or procedure to do this.

Customised SAP AddOn

Our teams has been developing and installing Customised SAP AddOns on client sites for testing.
However, we always encounter 2 common problems:
(a) "Another version of the program has been installed" - when trying to uninstall from SAP B1 AddOn Administration.
I notice there is SAP Notes that suggest removing 'AddOnsInstall.sbo' and 'AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo' . However, this solution requires reinstalling all AddOns after the removal.
Is there a particular reason this happen that we can include in our program as a fix?
(b) Sometimes, after uninstalling from SAP Business One, we still see that the AddOns hangging in Control Panel--> Add/Remove Program. If we try to uninstall the AddOn from Add/Remove Program, we receive an error "Object reference not set to an instance".
Any advice on this?

Hi,
For the first one, instead of deleting the files, open them with the notepad, and delete the XML nodes regarding your addon.
I think this would solve the second too, but I´m not 100% sure. If not, have a look at the SARI table in the SBO-Common database.

Open the Start.html file in the SAP folders you have downloaded. You can see Uninstall instructions on right hand side and then go to c: drive and delete all the SAP folders you see and then in registry . It is good to follow those steps to uninstall bcoz even u uninstall there will be some traces in you system

Hi Daniel,
You need to execute sapinst from SAP installation master DVD . Please use Uninstall option available over there.
Later you can clear all the SAP and DB related directories.

Can't uninstall SAP

I'm trying to uninstall SAP via Add/Remove programs, but I get the following error (and can't proceed with uninstallation): Error 1310.Error writing to file: C:\config.msi\73990.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory.
I'm also an admin on this computer, so I can't see why this would be the case.

You could try using other free uninstaller software. One of them is Revo Uninstaller and
use CCleaner to completely remove information in the registry.
Worst case scenario a fresh installation of the unit.

I didn't find any way to do that so I deleted the folder but with that when I try to install server components I get error failed ,roll back.

Try:
rpm -q -a | grep B1 | xargs rpm -e
And then try reinstallation.
If it works, next time when you uninstall B1 on Linux, please use the uninstall.bin located in the installation path, typically opt/sap/SAPBusinessOne. You can find the instructions in the Administrator's Guide (HANA version), which is in the product package \Documentation\SystemSetup\ and also in the Packages.Linux folder.

When i am installing a SAP addon i got the following error:
"Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation. Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information."

While upgrading can't uninstall SAP Prereqisites

Dear SAP,
getting error during upgrading SAP 2007 in PL 20 I get some Parser dll error
so I found solution to uninstall sap prerequisites
but i cannot uninstall sap prerequisites and it neither give error nor proceed.
also I stop all services and try but not happens.
I get the error at the start of upgrading server tools.
I stuck at client site please send solution immediately.

When we fail to uninstall some component then we use CCleaner which removes it very easily alongwith its Regstry. You should also try this. Once uninstall then Run Upgrade exe......

While installing any of the SAP Addon like Outlook Integration or EFM Format its generating a dmp file. Can anyone sugget what can be done.
Following message is prompted while installing the Addon:
Application has a problem
Diagonistic file "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\SAP\SAP Business One\SAP Business One_20110524174113.dmp was created. Please contact support and attach the diagonistic file.

Uninstall SAP on Solaris

Hello,
I have an old machine with a sap system that is not used anymore.
I would like to uninstall sap.
/usr/sap/trans is not nfs shared.
I was thinking of removing the init/rc scripts, /usr/sap, /sapmnt and /oracle, /home/<SID>adm.
Are there files/directories that I have forgoten?

If you are deleting all the files and directories, then entries will related to SAP in OS file systems will remain, like users,services etc..
Might be database instance will remain there which will give you error when you will install another instance of SAP in system.
As suggested by Deepak you should uninstall it using installation master CD or format the system bro. just kidding.
Just remove services entry and users, rest delete all SAP file system.If you will face any issues then it can be resolved, so go with it if you dont have installation master CD

Removed complete package. SAP IK.
And followed all recommended steps from SAP.
1. Uninstall BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solutions.
u2022 On a Windows computer, uninstall the BusinessObjects XI Integration
for SAP from Add/Remove Programs.
2. Run the partnercafuninstall.bat or partnercafuninstall.sh
script, depending on your platform. You must provide the password for
the BusinessObjects Enterprise administrator.
u2022 On Windows, run partnercafuninstall.bat-p BOE_PASSWORD.
After the script finishes, you must also clean up the remaining SAP files.
3. In the installdir\deployment\apps folder, delete SAP.properties
and PartnerPlatformServices.properties.
4. Undeploy and redeploy BusinessObjects Enterprise web applications
using wdeploy from the install\deployment folder and the following
commands:
wdeploy.sh <WAS type> -DAPP=CmcApp -Das_admin_pass
etc...,,

Uninstall java-addon alone

I have installing XI.
I have followed XISR1 Installation guide and completed installation till java-addon. Now i experience some problem with Java stack. So i want to uninstall only java-addon. Is there a way that i can uninstall only java-addon.

hi Pran,
there is one risky way. Find your java instance and remove the corresponding entires from Services registry (SAP<SID>_<INSTANCE NR>) and restart the system. this might remove the references to the java stack in your server. so, in the perspective of OS, your Java stack is gone.
you may take a backup of the registry contents you are going to delete. just in case something goes wrong, import the registry contents into your regedit and restart the system. the system should rollback to its original state.
if your so-called uninstallation is successful, reinstall Java addon again. (this might not let you create the same instance but in the end your server will have only one java instance).
again, i seriously tell you this is very risky. if you have time and can do R & D, you may go ahead and try this at your own risk. otherwise, remove all and restart your installation.

How to uninstall SAP?

I tried installing Solman 7.0 on the same host as PI 7.1 using multiple oracle homes. But now both installations have got screwed up and I would like to uninstall both before I start a fresh inst.
The status of each is as under:
PI 7.1: Was fully installed alongwith post-inst and in proper working condition until solman inst began. Now I cannot find any processes in the SAP console process list.
SolMan 7.0: Gets stuck on the "Create database" step due to an environment variable error.
In the Add/Remove programs, I am only able to see "SAP Application Server for System SOL". When I go to uninstall it, it says Please use the service Product > Additional software life-cycle tasks > Uninstall on the installation master DVD but I cannot find any such option on the DVD!
Note:
1. I cannot format and reinstall OS/DB since I only have remote desktop access to the server
2. I am using Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise x64

If you understand that this installation stuck due to environmental Variable then Why you don't set that variable.

If you want to uninstall the system without format then you should have SAP IM cd and follow the sequence.

Unable to uninstall an addon

I have an addon called 'Flaticon' that is no longer installed, i removed it via extension manager but adobe constantly tries to download it and since I updated to Adobe CC 2014 release it is no longer compatible. Pressing 'remove' on https://creative.adobe.com/addons/my_addons doesn't actually do anything to remove it from the list.

Can you confirm that you have File Sync enabled in the Creative Cloud app? I can see that you have it marked as uninstalled, so it should not be attempting to reinstall it. It seems an obvious question, but have you restarted your computer at all? This may help to get it up-to-date with install/uninstall operations for add-ons. Also, do you perhaps have the add-on installed on another computer at the same time?
