Uninstall SAP Instance

Hello All,
We are using HP-unix,oracle 8.2 & BI 7.0.Now BI 7.0 will not be used now so we need to uninstall it.My question is it possible to uninstall BI 7.0 Instance without the help of sapinst tool??If so how??Please tell me the best process for uninstalltion??

If you are planning to install non-SAP product then, is SAP (current build) in exclusive disk (volume) if so you can very much format the disk/volume contains SAP installation and then proceed with non-SAP build?
If your SAP build existing along with other application/important data, then one way that i can think off
1. delete the SAP build folder/directories
2. remove corresponding services
3. remove corresponding registry entries
4. remove corresponding environment variable setup
5. and any other that you feel has reference to sap installation
But, it's not the right way performing when we have sap way of doing the same...anyways try the above steps and hope you can meet your requirements.

Sorry Naveen, I forgot in the other post.
The below statment means that you did not uninstall Web AS properly and you still have an instance left.
    start uninstallation now (y/n)?y
    found instance J2E
So, First uninstall the J2E instance correctly. As I posted you have to go to the
    usr\sap\J2E\JCOO and click uninstsap.exe
IMPORTANT : Select complete removal the second option. This will completely remove all the instances and all remaining data.

  • Uninstall SAP on Solaris

    Hello,
I have an old machine with a sap system that is not used anymore.
I would like to uninstall sap.
    /usr/sap/trans is not nfs shared.
    I was thinking of removing the init/rc scripts, /usr/sap, /sapmnt and /oracle, /home/<SID>adm.
Are there files/directories that I have forgoten?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

    Benoit,
If you are deleting all the files and directories, then entries will related to SAP in OS file systems will remain, like users, services etc..
Might be database instance will remain there which will give you error when you will install another instance of SAP in system.
As suggested by Deepak you should uninstall it using installation master CD or format the system bro. just kidding.
Just remove services entry and users, rest delete all SAP file system. If you will face any issues then it can be resolved, so go with it if you dont have installation master CD

  • How to connect different clients of same SAP Instance

    Hi,
I have a question abour CPS 7, Basic- / Free of Charge  Version
I know that this version is restricted to have only  one SAP Instance per Isolation Goup, but how about different clients of the same Instance ?
Is it necessary to create an  Isolation Group for each client of the same instance ?
We actually have 1 isolation group with 1 Instance and 1client .
Trying to create a second XBP Connection to another client fails then saving the changes with error:
"JCS-102120: SAP System DI1.DI1_045 should be isolated but is not. Show error details"
I didnt find a concrete statement in the Installation - and in the Admin Guide.
    Regards
    Frank

    Hi Frank,
This is correct, there is one client per isolation group. The free version works similar in this respect to SM36/SM37: jobs are defined in each client individually and independently.
    Regards,
    Anton.

Open the Start.html file in the SAP folders you have downloaded. You can see Uninstall instructions on right hand side and then go to c: drive and delete all the SAP folders you see and then in registry  . It is good to follow those steps to uninstall bcoz even u uninstall there will be some traces in you system

    Hi Daniel,
You need to execute sapinst from SAP installation master DVD . Please use Uninstall option available over there.

  • Can't uninstall SAP

    Hello all;
I'm trying to uninstall SAP via Add/Remove programs, but I get the following error (and can't proceed with uninstallation): Error 1310.Error writing to file: C:\config.msi\73990.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory.
I'm also an admin on this computer, so I can't see why this would be the case.

    Hi,
You could try using other free uninstaller software. One of them is Revo Uninstaller and
use CCleaner to completely remove information in the registry.
Worst case scenario a fresh installation of the unit.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Clint

  • How to get the transport number once transported to other SAP Instance

i saved a zprogram in a transport number. but that was transported to another  sap instance.....Can i get
the tnumber from my previous instance ????

    Hi,
If you want to find the request for that program open the program and then go to the followign path :
Utilities -> versions -> Version Management.
Here you will get all the requests under which the program is saved. If there are more than one request for that particular program the top most request contains the latest code changes.
If you want to do changes for the code after transporting to another server then you have to create new request and have to do chnages under that request.
    Hope this will helps you.

    Swarna Munukoti
