Uninstall Web access from Windows
Hi,
I have all GW agents (MTA, PO, GWIA and web access) running on a Win
2003 box. All version 8.02 HP2. Since there is a known issue with web
access version 8 with iPad and the GW mail app does not support Proxy
access, I would like to downgrade just the Web Access to version 7.
however, I can't find instruction to uninstall Web access anywhere.
Could someone help, please?
Thanks very much,
Aldous
No, it is Winodws 2003 box and it is not listed in Add/remove program in
Windows

Is it possible to uninstall IE 11 from Windows Server 2012 R2 and replace it with the latest version of IE 10? We have a remote desktop farm setup with 2012 R2 servers and we are publishing some web links that only work with IE10. As a result, we need to
downgrade the remote desktop servers to IE10. I have a feeling that this isn't possible, but if I could get a definitive answer, I would greatly appreciate it, thank you!Hi,
Agreed with DonPick.
Internet Explorer 11 is preinstalled with Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2.
More information regarding Internet Explorer 11, please check:

EPrint won't print web pages from Windows 8 Microsoft Surface tablet
ePrint won't print web pages from Windows 8 (x64) Microsoft Surface tablet Any ideas?
Hello JereTanner,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are trying to print web pages from a Surface tablet. What model of printer are you trying to print to? Also, Is there an error, message, etc, when you try to print? Typically, ePrint is used when printing eMails or forwarding documents / pictures to the printers eMail address, is this how you are trying to print the web page? Since this is a Windows 8 Operating System, you may be able to install full feature software and print that way. When I know more about how you are trying to print, what happens when you try and what printer you are using, I will be able to better help. Cheers, -
SBS11 Remote Web access from Mac to PC Windows XP
Recently converted from being a PC user to a iMac.
Working on the iMac at home, I need to be able to connect remotely to my PC at work (Windows XP).
Previously been able to do with via our SBS11 Remote Web Access page, but opening in Chrome (on the Mac) it does not connect.
Have downloaded the new Mac 'Microsoft Remote Desktop' App - but am having trouble configuring the settings.
Remote Desktop Setup > PC Name - is this the Public IP of my work PC
> User Name - is this simply my work username
MRD > Preferences... do I need to setup a Gateway?Hi,
The settings of the App depends on the remote desktop solution used in your Office.
Meanwhile, you can try to access the RD web access site from a Windows client, download the .rdp file and copy the settings.
Thanks.

Time Capsule - how to gain "over-the-internet" access from Windows 7!
Hi guys,
I've been fighting for such a long time with my Time Capsule. I have no idea how to gain access "over-the-internet" on a PC (Windows 7) which is running on another network. My Time Capsule is set up with my Macbook Pro at home running Lion OSX, and i have internet connection. My brother who also uses Macbook has no problems connecting to my Time Capsule - through finder (connect to a server). But how do I gain "over-the-internet" access to my Time Capsule through a PC (Windows 7) from my office? Is there please someone who can guide me step-by-step, how to gain connection to my TC through a PC? Or maybe just an explantaion what has to be done on the PC before this thing can work out! This was the main reason to why i bought Time Capsule - besides of the Time Machine function. I also have an iCloud account (earlier Mobile Me), if that makes any difference.
Thanks! There is no way to do it from windows direct to the TC.
It only presents AFP to the WAN side. And most ISP block SMB from internet access due to risks. There is AFAIK, no suitable AFP protocol utility for windows at the moment. If you google and find one, be aware it probably will not work to your satisfaction anyway.
You must use a Mac to access AFP but even then it is not a secure protocol and I would recommend against it anyway.
So basically if you had have asked before purchasing, I would have said, TC is unsuitable product. It is a backup drive for a Mac. It is not a NAS.. it is not designed for remote access by any computer other than a Mac. It does not support any other file protocol to the WAN interface.. and no secure protocol even there.
A NAS with Time Machine extensions from QNAP, Synology, Netgear all are designed for web access and are far more suitable. Researching a purchase beforehand is always worthwhile.
Anyway, your choices are.. return the TC and buy something more suited to the job.
Or if return is now impossible sell the TC on ebay.. etc and do the same thing.. buy a more suitable NAS.
Or buy a cheap mac mini (even second hand) and use that for communications with home.
Or, replace your current router with something that includes vpn. This is actually a good and commercially sound decision. VPN is generally used by business to connect to remote locations, because it is secure and will allow the greatest flexibility of connection. How hard or easy depends on the current setup. I would recommend a combined modem router with vpn server if you have adsl. Or for cable you can find plenty of routers with combined vpn. You can also use those for adsl if your ISP allows pppoe with bridged modem. The TC will have to be bridged as well. For other broadband it might be harder to find the right kind of box.
Once you setup a vpn you can access it from work using the appropiate vpn client in your work computer. -

Two issues now
1) How do I get rid of weblogic from my machine manually so that I can do fresh install of 10.3.5?
2) How do I confirm if it is completely removed because after doing the complete SOA suite installation process, JDeveloper throws me errors that it is not compatible with 10.3.6
Appreciate your help in this regardHi
I am glad your original issue is resolved. For this new SOA installation, you can post a new thread and preferably in SOA Forums and not here in WLS Forums for quicker response: SOA Suite
1. To begin with, looks like you have a 64 bit machine, so I would recommend first to install 64 bit JDK. Then install Weblogic using weblogic generic installer (.jar). This means if you already have WLS installed using .exe, you may have to delete that and start over.
2. Worst case even if you want to continue as it is (32 bit), the location of java is kind of not ok having a space in one of the folder names like "Program Files". And is this java installed by you or did it came with machine and if so. If came with machine it will be older version.
I would recommend, uninstall existing JDK and install fresh latest JDK in a path something like shown below that do not have any spaces:
1. C:\Oracle\Java\jdk1.6.0_24_64Bit = Will have JDK 64 bit
2. C:\Oracle\Middleware116BPM = Will have WLS 10.3.6. Here you install SOA later on
3. C:\Oracle\Middleware\Jdeveloper116 = Will have JDeveloper 11.6 installed here.
Now, coming to your actual installation error, do NOT use this command "setup -jreLoc %JAVA_HOME%". Instead just double click on Setup.exe or open a dos window, navigate to that folder and just type setup.exe. The point is do not give -jreLoc. NOW it will prompt to enter full JDK Path. Here you carefuly type full jdk path something like this "C:\Oracle\Java\jdk1.6.0_24_32Bit" (this is on my side...). It should work now.
Caution. While installing any oracle software do not use folder names with spaces. Like c:\Program Files\ etc. Spaces in folder names may be an issue. So avoid that.
Since you are starting all this fresh, I would recommend doing it in the right and correct way to avoid any future issues. It may take few hours of extra time that is totally worth.

RD Web Access From The Internet/External
I’m requesting help with accessing from the internet (external web) a RD Web Access Connection (SSL) that I setup and configured on a Windows 2008 R2 Server.
My setup is as follows. All server rolls are configured and running on one Windows 2008 R2 Server (VM).
1.
Remote Desktop Services
a.
RemoteApp Manager
b.
Remote Desktop Connection Manager
c.
RD Gateway Manager
d.
RD Session Host Configuration
e.
Remote Desktop Service Manager
f.
Remote Desktop Licensing
2.
Web Server (IIS)
All my configurations are working perfectly internal/intranet. I can access all published applications and remote desktop connectivity via (SSL) from IE 9 web browser.
The URL that is used internally is: (https://ServerName/RDWEB).
When I attempt to connect via the internet I’m getting an “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” message.
I’m using Dynamic DNS to access the server hosting the (IIS Remote Access Web Page URL), example (https://DDNS/RDWEB). I’ve opened ports 443 & 80
on my Untangle firewall, also port forwarding for 3389.
Any and all help will be appreciated.Freek,
Thank you for your response. I tested Telnet as you suggested, and both FQDN and IP address were able to establish a Telnet connection to my RD Web Access Server.
The “NSLOOKUP” resolved the DNS server name. Also, I am able to us the IP address, URL (https://IP/REWEB) in IE9 to browse to my RD Web Access Server site. The above should confirm DNS IS working correctly within my internal network.
My connection issue is from external/internet access to my RD Web Access Server site. All my networked devices (internal) are natted IP assigned behind an “Untangle
Gateway” firewall and routable internally only.
Although, I’ve opened ports, created firewall rules to pass traffic on ports 443, 3389 my problem still exist. Since my internal natted devices are not routable
from the internet, I am using a DDNS host URL from (www.dyndns.org) to route from the internet to my internal site server. As it stands now, I suspect the problem maybe at the Untangle Gateway”. I will focus my attention there.
Thank you again for your help.

Found easy way is re-installing, I tried uninstalling both and not sure whether database was deleted or not, the same case with OBIEE

Don't take me the other-way, I'm very new with Oracle products

Was it a mistake to uninstall Flash Player from Windows 8?
I have a Lenovo Y580 Laptop with IE10 windows 8. I was not able to view embedded videos on websites and searched the problem online. Somewhere I ran in to information about glitches with Flash Player and Windows 8. I found instructions on how to delete Flash Player files from Windows 8 using a combination of the steps on the websites below. Now I am able to view embedded videos but I don't understand exactly what I did/whether I will have issues in the future due to deleting Flash. Now when I type in the search box for Flash Player it shows a Flash Player 32 Bit Flash Settings Manager. Im confused as to what I deleted and what the cons to this may be as I am not super computer savvy
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
http://superuser.com/questions/497095/how-to-delete-trustedinstaller-files-on-windows-8Hi,
Flash Player is integrated with Internet Explorer in Windows 8. It's unnecessary to install or uninstall Flash Player.
Since you have uninstalled, you may want to look at this document for reinstalling Flash Player: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html

Problems setting up Remote Web Access in Windows Storage Server 2008 R2
We just bought a WD Sentinel DX4000 Storage Server and went through the Remote Web Access wizard. It setup the router just fine but when we got to the setup your domain name we have been having
headaches ever since. We chose the option to use our own domain name, which we have registered through GoDaddy. It then showed that yes, our provider was GoDaddy but then it told us we needed to update our service with GoDaddy so we clicked the
"Go to GoDaddy.com" button and it sent us to a page to purchase an SSL certificate. So, we did that but then had issues with it not being able to be managed in our GoDaddy account. So, I went into the domain name with GoDaddy and purchased
a certificate there and got it setup on the domain name with GoDaddy.
The problem is that when I try to go through the wizard again to set up the domain name I still have to click the goDaddy button to move to the next page where I type my domain name, username, and password
with GoDaddy. I setup the remote extension in the A records with GoDaddy as remote.mydomain.com, and put in my username and password with GoDaddy. After I click next it tries to connect to the domain name service provider but then gives me the
following error message over and over:
The domain name was not set up for your server. Wait a few minutes and run the wizard again.
An unexpected or unknown problem occurred. Please wait a few minutes, and then try again.
Well, I have tried this several times and am about to start pulling my hair out. Can anyone please tell me what I may be doing wrong?
Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.Hi,
Please verify the installed certificate status, you could refer to the article below to install GoDaddy SLL Certificates.

Shutting down programmes and rebooting computer did not help. Launching web links from Live Mail has never been a problem before. Error message reads " There was a problem sending the command to the program"
Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin-container.exe" which was using up most of my CPU when I opened up multiple tabs that contained Adobe Flash files, and caused Firefox to lock up.
My solution was to use Firefox 3.5.10 which you can get from the Mozilla website at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]
I am using Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the release notes, I believe it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".
Hopefully, they will fix Firefox 3.6 in the next version (e.g. Firefox 3.6.7), until then you should probably use "Firefox 3.5.10".

Hi, I tried to load a Canon printer driver for the ir1023. After the install it required a restart. The Mac Pro never fully turned off, so I was stuck having to do a manual shut down with the power button. I am sure this messed everything up. When I
