For starters, what exactly do you mean by "cannot print"?
Are you getting an error message? Are you trying to print from within Reader or are you opening these in the browser? What version of Reader. Even though it's a new printer, the drivers that came with it (or the ones that were already on your computer) may be old so, have you downloaded the most recent drivers from the Brother site?

That sounds like a permissions problem. Vista uses that Trusted Installer account to install software. I don't know why it wouldn't have the correct permissions, though.
Make sure you have FULL control over all the C: drive, and try turning off UAC during the install:

Install new version itunes now i cannot access library

i installed a new version of itunes,now when i click itunes icon on desk top all i get,itunes cannot open folder as new version installed.i have tried to restore to older version with out success,can anyone help me please?

Thank you so much, but I have done that and under "music" there is not a traditional song view. That is exactly where I imagined it "should" be...but under music there is only a box with a couple playlists in it and they appear "light gray" and cannot be clicked on.

I installed Mountain Lion and now I cannot watch anything on flash player. It just says incompatable plug-in. I was instructed to download the latest version of flash play which I have done but it makes no difference what so ever.

I wish I had never installed Lion as I was happy with my mac on its origional OS, I only installed it as my Java had disappeared and I was instructed on the java page that to upload the latest verion of Java I needed to upgrade to Lion. Never mind, I think. I think I figured it out. There was 1 song (out of > 900!) that somehow had been purchased with the other ID - I have no idea how. Once I deleted that song, it stopped asking.
There may be something with the newest iTunes version too. I didn't think in older versions that the "On this iPod" list of songs was greyed out. But at least it syncs ok.

Did you check software update or App Store to see if the printer is among
those Epson models who may have an update download available now?
Of course, some of these printers, even though wi-fi, may require the wire
to set them up for first-use, to be identified. Both my Epsons appear twice,
for wi-fi and again with USB. So I named each appearance, different. So it
is possible to tell in more than one way, which setup that was selected. A few
features do not correctly work in instances where drivers differ.
The latest Epson update helped my newer computer connect to oldest Epson.
Even though a 1.3GB huge Epson drivers file did not help, & OS X didn't see it.
Hopefully the they included an adequate quick-setup guide, though that may
have been for Mavericks, etc. Yet your iPhoto issue may be something else.

Hp6500 can't scan from control panel with mavericks

I've not found any guidance that says this should not work when the full HP Inkjet software package is installed. I've located, with some difficulty, the 'full' software distribution at HP-Inkjet-SW-OSX-Mavericks_v12.34.44.dmg. I can find no general directory or listing for this software, I just found it through blind luck. Is there such a listing of the latest full package? I have 10.9.3 on an 8G Ram macbook pro. I have completely removed the driver for my e709a Ethernet attached printer and reinstalled it, and then installed this full distribution as well. When I run HP Utility, the 'all settings' button is greyed out, and I can see no way to enable the scan button on the printer's control panel. Is this supposed to work? if so, how? If not, is it going to be fixed one day by HP, or do I just give this printer away and buy a different one? If so, which HP officejet printers support scanning from the printer control panel? thank you.

The drivers above are intended for the HP Officejet 6500A (E710) and not for your printer, therefore it cannot locate it.
Scanning from the front panel is not supported for your printer on Mavericks, scanning can only be done via Apple's software as a full feature software is not available for the operating system.

Newer models as the HP Officejet 6700, Officejet Pro 8610 as example, as well as any current HP Inkjet printer with a Full Feature Software for Mavericks will allow scannig from the front panel.

Locate MSI from Control Panel

Hi,
I have some old software that I want to move to a new PC. I can not find the original MSI & the vendor no longer supplies the file. If I choose 'Uninstall/Change/Repair' in Control Panel the required MSI pops up. How can I find the location
of this file on the PC, I have tried may searches but can't find it.

Hi Paul,
You need the complete installation package to install it to new computer. We cannot the it from Control Panel.
Unless you keep the original installation package, you couldn't get it any more.

Uninstalled Qualcomm Atheros in Control Panel, what do?

Uninstalled Qualcomm Atheros in Control Panel and I am now unable to access to any wireless network. I tried a system restore, but it didn't work
and gave an error message which suggested I turn off my virus protection. I did that, but it still wouldn't work and I received the same error message. Then, I went into Device Manager and tried to "Scan for Hardware Changes," but that also did nothing.
I also tried manually installing the AR9485 driver from Qualcomm and restarted my computer; however, that didn't work either.

That would be the device Metadata from the print driver vendor. It's part of the Device Stage feature mainly for client OS.

If this is a print server, use the tools include by the print team if you are performing any management on the server.

We try to unistall from control panel or helper folder and nothing happens. What are the next step.

We want to upgrade Mozila to a new version. When we try to upgrade from your web site, nothing happens.
When we follow your recommendation to unistall the program from control panel or helper folder, the folder doesn't open.

I had the same issue. To resolve it, I:
1. Backed up my bookmarks to my desktop;
2. Deleted the Mozilla Firefox folder (in the C:\Program Files folder).
3. Reinstalled Firefox
4. Uninstalled Firefox (to make sure any registry entries that may have been causing problems were removed)
5. Reinstalled Firefox again
6. Imported bookmarks.
7. OPTIONAL: Reinstall any add-ons I regularly use
I no longer have the problems with slow performance or websites hanging that I had after originally upgrading to Firefox 7.
Obviously if you just want to uninstall, you only need to do steps 2 through 4. I wanted to continue using Firefox and was just trying to resolve the issues I was having browsing the web since upgrading to 7.

I can't remove Firefox 8 from control panel?

I update Firefox8 to 9.1, but upon looking in control panel still said I had Firefox 8. Also, I had automatic update enabled and it never updated, so I therefore put it to manual. I was having Java issues that weren't resolved with Firefox and have decided to uninstall! I am unable to from control panel or uninstaller? When I click remove it does nothing but go bk to original state like I never clicked remove. All other programs are removable from this feature! Version 9.1 auto loaded on my computer and I had problems. If 8 is working, don't go to 9.1. I spent hours trying to find an earlier version and the best I could do is find 6.0. I downloaded it and my problems were corrected. I recommend you keep 8.

I did as you said and went to the icloud control panel on my Windows 8 Laptop to be sure I was looking at the correct folder for my photo stream. All my "shared" albulms pushed to my Laptop and are up-to-date with the exception of the "photostream" album. If I create a "shared stream album" and place photo's in it on the phone; I can see the photos on my laptop. I dont get it. I had a iphone 4s and had zero isues and now with my new nifty iPhone 5s it doesent work.
What am I not doing correctly.

Windows Update from COntrol Panel does not work??

regardless if it is common way to do so or not: Does anyone have experience with the "Windows Update" functions in WE8S?
I tried them upon a customers request, and I've seen that I could not get it to complete successfully when choosing the option in
Control Panel. It either hanged during "Downloading..." or at the "Preparing to install..." screen - I waited for many hours. But when I using the "Windows Update"
app from the start screen, updates were installed without any problems (OK, 1 has failed, but the process has completed). Of course, both methods have different look, maybe it is not the
same...
As per Sean Limings' book it is no good idea to update systems in the field this way - shall I remove the functions from the system? What are you doing?

Maybe it was because of the number of updates (in my case there were 85 updates pending). After I succeeded installing via the "Windows Update" app from "Start Menu", there where two more updates, and update now worked when called from
control panel (at least one of them, KB2973201 still stolidly fails to install).

Make sure it is a genuine HP cartridge. Take it out and clean the contact on the cartridge and in the printer. Try again.
