Uninstalled Facebook App not completely removed

I was recently having issues with the Facebook application so I tried to remove i so that I could just reinstall it. I performed the usual act of removing by tapping the "x" on the Facebook icon and it appeared that the app had been removed. But when I tried to install the app from the App it says its already install. There is also a tab in settings for the Facebook app but it is blank. Has anyone encountered this issue? If so, is there a remedy? Thanks.

I'm having the same issue. Last night I accidentally removed my Facebook app, and when I go into iTunes to reinstall it says Installed. The problem that I have is that when I can't get into iTuens after upgrading to 9, it crashes, so I can't even get to it in iTunes to try/ Is there any other workaround for this issue so that I can re-add the app?

Facebook app not completely deleted?

Hi! My fiancee has an iPhone 3G with the Facebook app installed. She was having some issues with it last night, so she decided to delete it and try to reinstall it. She deleted it (by holding her finger on the app and clicking the X), but when she went to the App Store to reinstall, it's telling her that Facebook is already installed, so it won't let her download it again.
If you go to Settings on her phone, at the very bottom, there is a Facebook menu, but when you click on it, it leads to a blank screen. How can she reinstall Facebook?

Hi, I am also having the same problem, my facebook app was deleted by accident, and will not re-install, as it shows as being still installed, although I still have a blank facebook menu in my settings. The app appears fine in itunes, but refussd to re install after several re-sets and syncs!
Please can somebody from apple help with this issue, as its driving me nuts.

Hello.
I have Exchange 2010SP3 2 DAG member in cluster.
Recently i have warning in app log on a second DAG member:
Mailbox cleanup could not completely remove the mailbox for user GUID.Encountered error 0xfffffae8. Should this message continue to persist for the same mailbox, it may be indicative of a problem that requires further investigation.
I read all post wich say just unmount and mount database.
I can't find any user wich have guid containted in error.
So that i need to do?
Can i use StartDAGmaintenance and reboot a server,then after reboot use StopDAGmaintenance?

I suggest to refer to this blog to find this mailbox by GUID.

Then check which database this mailbox belongs to, dismount and mount this database.

Facebook app not working on wifi?

I have the galaxy s5 so does my wife and daughter, and when we are at home we hook up to the wifi, and try to use that to save on data usage. for some reason it does not load photos, comments and videos for a long time. the laptop, tablets, and tv all work fine off of the wifi. we have the same issue in public wifi. any reason?

Yes the pages load fine on data. But even games I have that use internet
don't always work right. But if I turn off the wif i. it works fine. I am
beginning to wonder if I made a mistake leaving sprint.

Facebook app not working and my blackberry world has completely disappeared, help please!

Hi guys, I'm in a real stooper, my facebook app. Was due an upgrade but soon after the upgrade it stopped working and everytime I click on to the icon it crashes the phone so I have to switch it on and off again to get it working, it then displays an error message. I've also noticed that my blackberry app. World icon has totally disappeared.
I really hope someone can give me some advice as I don't really know where to go from here and who to contact, please help!!

Apps not completing installation. Stuck midway.....

I upgraded to 7.1.1.
Some apps are now showing 'waiting' on their icon and are unusable. The 'waiting' icon is when you download an app and it is installing but not completed.
I tried uninstall and reinstall but still the same.
It also includes Skype and Tumblr apps which are frequently used ones.

Ok, some updates. I was forced to erase my hard drive, to do a clean installation of Yosemite. Fortunally enough, before that I could access in safe mode to the content of my hard drive and copy it. So, except few files and softwares I have lost nothing really important.
But if you think that the issue is over, just wait.
So I made a clean installation of Yosemite and re-install all my softwares one by one and put back my music, pictures, etc. So I didn't restore, I made everything brand new.
So, everything worked apparently fine for 1 day, but now my almost new MacBook Pro (got it in February) freezes randomly when I tried to open finder windows, when I start itunes, when I tried to connect to Internet and even when I do nothing. I re-started in Recovery Mode to see what's going on and had to repair my disk (!!!)
But the issue is not settled yet. The computer freezes all the time and it seems to be due to SystemUIServer. Anyway, I tried everything: repair permissions, remove the last installations (Eduroam, i.e. wifi connection for academics). Nothing helps. The Mac cannot be used. It gets stuck all the time despite the clean installation.
Now, my desktop does not even load...
If you have Mavericks, stay with it. Believe me. Everything could work fine for you of course, but if it doesn't, you are ahead of days and days of working your way out of the problem while spending money to buy back lost softwares, or new hardware (such as external hard drive), etc., etc. Personally, I have lost so far 5 days of work and it is not over... Which is a little bit too much for a regular/begnin/normal update.

Facebook App not working over 3G, but works over Wi-Fi.

I have a BlackBerry® Curve™ 3G 9330 Social Messaging Ready smartphone. My current software version is 6.0 Bundle 2333. My Facebook application worked perfectly fine when I got the phone a few months ago over the Verizon 3G network and Wi-Fi, but when I recently updated Facebook to version 2.0.0.58, it does not work over 3G anymore. But everytime I try to connect via 3G it says "We cannot reach the Facebook server at this time. Please try again later. (100)" It does however still work over Wi-Fi.
I have tried various attempts to fix it: uninstalling the App and re-installing it and also removing the battery and putting it back in (hard reset), but nothing has worked.
Is anyone else have this same issue? Is there a way to restore my Blackberry to its factory settings so that I can just use the older version of the Facebook App [that was previously installed]?

I can see from your PIN that you currently don't have browsing services included in your data plan. I would advise contacting your wireless provider to have this enabled.

Issue with app not completely installed

App. "Quiz" related to TV show "Kruitfabriek" on Belgianfootball TV station "Vier" is being installed. Symbol appears on the screen, but installation is not complete. It now also blocks all other updates and downloads via iTunes, ...
As I try to delete it, the black "x" in the upper left corner does not appear.
How can I get rid of it and unblock?

try to reset all settings: settings>general>reset>reset all settings
if that doesn't work, or you don't want to try that right away, you could try re-syncing your apps from itunes on a computer to remove that app, then try re-downloading
also try to force quit any applications that are running, restarting your ipad will not force apps to shut down that may be using up resources

I recently uninstalled Facebook app, when trying to reinstall it I am unable to do so.

The Facebook app was timing out so I decided to uninstall it. When I tried to reinstall it, I was unable to do so. When the iphone is connected to the computer, the screen shows that the Facebook app should be there, however, it is not. Also, in the settings app at the very bottom is a seperate category for Facebook but when you click on it it shows nothing. Help!

try to find the facebook in the app tab for iphone in itunes and uncheck it if it is checked then sync it and once again you have to check it to install it again

Program not completely removed

I have removed ArcanaStartUpSound from Settings, because the version I could find is not supported by OS 10.9.5. However, whenever I start up the Mac, after some time, I'm told the program couldn't be started properly, so I'm suspecting it hasn't been removed completely. How can I make sure it is, as it is slowing down the boot time of the Mac. Also, how do I disable iCloud, so it doesn't start up automatically each time I start the Mac?
I'm a PC user myself, so I'm just trying to help out my girlfriend with her Mac, so any detailed explanations would be greatly appreciated, bearing in mind that how to get to various areas is not completely obvious to me :-)

Follow the developer's instructions for uninstallings. For some you can just drag the app form the Applications folder to the Trash. For other yo have t use the uninstaller provided by the developer.
Yu may have to reinstall the apps and then use the uninstaller.
Go to Settings>iCloud and sing out.

Ok, so i have a blackberry 9300 and i had facebook app downloaded, i tried to update it and my phone said i had to delete the app that i already had in order to update, so i did, but i think it has completely deleted fom my device! It's not on my phone, it's not on app world, i've tried going on facebook via the internet on my phone and at the bottom of the page it said 'download facebook app for blackberry' or something along those lines, and that does'nt even work!! Any help or suggestions will be amazing! Help please! It's driving me mad!

You must have an active data plan
Try to have good 3G signal either
O connected to a wifi network

Facebook App not starting

Hi all,
I have a problem with the Facebook app for my TouchPad -- it only starts up once or twice then it does not want to start anymore.
Seems like the account-related features (pictures etc) still works, just the app itself that does not want to start.
I have already tried:
Not working:
* Uninstall/Reinstall
* Uninstall/Reboot/Reinstall
Works for a short while:
* Erase data (followed by re-signin/reinstall etc)
* Doctoring (not tried it myself, but apparently also works for a little while)
Anybody else here with a TouchPad that experiences these symptoms? Doctoring/erasing is not a solution because the I have to re-do _everything_.

Great catch cronhan! As an aside, I don't think the language of your profile is effecting this (and to my knowledge can't be changed after creation).
I think it has to do with application localization. The Region Settings you mention effect the entire device and it sounds like there is a conflict between your Facebook App and the device when you change the regional settings. IMHO, I think this should be reported back to the engineers at HP.

Facebook app not working since new update

Ever since I installed the new update for the phone about 2 weeks ago my FB app won't work anymore. It pops up with an error message. It's the FB app that came with the phone. I can still access everything else. I'm also having more trouble with my advanced task killer since the update. Everytime I open it theres a ton of apps running that I haven't touched so I switched my settings to the "crazy" auto-kill level but it's still not working. Help please...

For Facebook, search the market for Facebook for Android. This is the updated version of the stock Facebook. It will save over the Facebook app that is currently installed(it won't erase your data) plus this will alert you when there are new app updates.
For your tasktiller, Froyo has a decent task killer built in. There are always small tasks that happen in the background for different apps. I find that my battery lasts a little longer after I uninstall advanced task killer.

Facebook app not working on 4.0.1!!!

Ever since upgrading to the 4.0.1 platform the FAcebook app has sucked huge. The push notifications do not push. The Badges are slow, inaccurate, and unreliable. The notifications alone when using the app are non functional. I have tried everything I could think of/been told:
1) Unintsalling and reintsalling the app.
2) logging out and back in
3) disabling and reenabling notification.
4) powering down and up.
5) disabling notifications and depowering, then repowering and reenabling
6) numoerous combinations of the above.
I have contacted Facebook about it, and they give me the form answer.
Anyone have any solutions? The app was working flawlessly prior to upgrading to the new platform.

I just fixed mine.
1. On the facebook site itself you have to go to mobile and you HAVE to set up text messaging.
2. Once this is done get on your phone and in the confirmation text go ahead and tell it to stop.
3. You will get another confirmation saying text is off
4 Go back into facebook site under mobile and simple remove the phone number. The text and number will be gone but the app will still send you notifications.

Did this change after you upgraded to 3.0? then this might be a compatibility issue.
Otherwise a restore of the ipod should do it: Plug it in to the computer > itunes > press ipod > (first tab there should have a button) > restore
