Uninstalled Firefox b/c not working right, now can't install Firefox or Thunderbird, File extracts and nothing happens.

Always had trouble with failed updates in Firefox. It finally stopped working right so I uninstalled it. Now it will not reinstall and neither will Thunderbird. They just extract then disappear. I never see any dialog boxes asking to install. It fails without any explanation or warning. No dialog boxes are hidden under other windows. Chrome works, but I like Firefox better.

I too am having the same problem. Tried installing 32.0.2 and when that didn't work I went back to 29.something and that still didn't work. Now I have no firefox

If the clips are not actually missing, you could try to refresh the timeline by using cmd-0 and then going to the timeline options tab. Then select name only where it says "thumbnail display". Press ok to accept the change, then repeat the process to add thumbnails back to your timeline.

Do you mean to create a clickable hyperlink while composing a new mail?
Just above the textarea that you use to enter the message text there is usually a button bar with buttons to add text formatting like Bold and Italic. 
That toolbar may also have a button to turn a text link into a clickable hyperlink (look for a chain like button). 
You can select the text and click that button to turn the link into a clickable hyperlink. 
If you can't find the button then hover them all to check the tooltip of each.

My recommendation is to restart the iPhone. All you do is hold down the top button and hold down the home button for 5 seconds untill it automatically shuts down. Then click the top button untill you see a grey apple on your screen.

That's a very important component of your phone, tiffanymoyle. Let's see what we can do to get your keyboard back up and running correctly. What issues are you encountering with the keyboard? Do certain letters not register when pressed? Does it make a difference if you turn your phone to function in landscape mode?

InDesign CC 2014 Corrupt? Chat not working right now. HELP!

Just spent two hours on the phone with Apple to learn that my problem is probably a corrupt InDesign CC 2014. Cannot open any saved InDesign file. Tried going back through Time Machine to open an earlier version of the file I MUST DELIVER TOMORROW and I cannot open it or any closed InDesign file. NEED HELP FAST! I work on an iMac Desktop.

If you do have a corrupt program, the only cure I know is to uninstall and reinstall
Uninstall... run the Cleaner... Restart your computer... Reinstall
-using the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling

Calendars not working right ever since I installed Mavericks??

When I am in iCloud and looking at the Calendar icon, it says that I have 5 notifications (#5 is in a red circle) but when I go to view them, I have none. The # then disappears, but after a few minutes, it comes right back. What should I do to resolve this issue?

No, so I called Apple support and they sent it to programming. They think it might be a server error, but was unable to recreate the problem. The higher level support personnel said to keep an eye on it for a couple of days. Ever since a few days ago, the notifications are gone so I will keep an eye on it. Thanks!

After the recent version update (and after my cat knocked my router down) Firefox is just not working. I can access the internet via another browser BUT all my passwords are saved in Firefox.

I am using a PC with Windows 7, and like I said, the other browser seems to be working just fine. I just MISS my passwords and really don't want to go through all the work and trouble of requesting new ones from ALL the sites I use passwords for ! Please HELP :)

When you connect through your router you have two instances of DHCP going on...one is your DSL modem giving your router an IP address on it's WAN interface. The other is the router giving your computer an IP address via the router's DHCP server. The IP the modem gives your router is in the 192.168.1.0 network. Unfortunately, by default, the LAN IP address reange on Linksys routers is also in that range. To get this to work, you need to set your LAN ip on the router to 192.168.2.1, so that the LAN and WAN interfaces of the router are in different networks.
To do that, unplug the router from the DSL modem, power it and your computer down, then connect the computer to the router using an ethernet cable. Power up the router, and the computer, then browse to 192.168.1.1. Change the LAN IP on the router setup to 192.168.2.1, save the configuration, then reboot the computer. Once the computer comes back up, browse to 192.168.2.1...you should be able to get to the router setup GUI.
Power down the router, and the DSL modem, connect the router to the modem via the Internet port using an ethernet cable, then power up the modem, then the router....you should be good to go...

Thanks restoring and restarting didn't fix my problem - i have started it fresh and still it doesn't work. Basically I press ONCE on the remote, after the machine has not had any commands for 10 minutes, and the cursor skips from one end of the menu to the other - so I can't choose network or update software etc - I sometimes manage to stop it randomly in the middle of the menu if I press on a command in the middle of the cursor skipping all the menu steps...not sure what the problem is but I have basically not used my brand new apple tv since I bought it for that reason! I should call Apple support I suppose! grrrr hate wasting time with stuff like this!
