Uninstalled Windows 8.1 Incorrectly

I had dual booted my Mac Book Air with Windows 8.1 and wanted to erease it. I thought I had to format the partition with Windows, so I did that, and know I can't access that part.
That partition has apperently become part of the Mac OS X partition, but I still only have 130 gb on the Mac partition and the 120 gb from the windows partition are just gone!
I have Mac OS X Yosemite Beta 4 on the mac.
What can I do?

HOW DO I INSTALL WINDOWS 7 AND UNINSTALL WINDOWS 8 ON MY DESKTOP HP 500-37C.

    Hi:
That model number does not turn up in the support site.
    Please recheck it.

Depending on the hardware it has, there are some models that can't have W7 installed on them, due to the fact that there are no W7 drivers for some of the hardware.

    Hello,
Welcome to VS general forum. But I am afraid that the issue is out of support range of VS General Question forum which mainly discusses
the usage of Visual Studio IDE such as WPF & SL designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System

Because your issue is how to uninstall Windows Phone 8.1 SDK which is not visible in

  • I have a HP Touchsmart Laptop. Can I uninstall Windows 7 and install windows 8.1 ?

I want to uninstall windows 7 and install windows 8.1 on my hp touchsmart. Will the touch features work on teh new installation?

    Hi,
Yes and no. Why ? because it will work with the right driver, won't work if can't find the right driver. How can we know you can get a right driver when we don't know your computer. HP has dozens if not hundreds of models/products called Touchsmart.
    Regards.

I tried to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 using the 2 methods in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934372/en-us

I am surprised that Microsoft supplies a product that one cannot uninstall.
I would very much like to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 -
If that is not possible, I could re-install it.

  • HOW DO I UNINSTALL WINDOWS 8.1 PREVIEW FROM MACBOOK PRO (SNOW LEOPARD)... CAN NOT FIND README FILE FOR WINDOWS PREVIEW. PLEASE HELP

how can i uninstall windows 8.1 preview from my macbook pro?? ive looked for over an hour for the readme file for the windows 8.1 preview and have had no luck. ive done almost everything i can think of at the moment and nothing is working. somebody please help, thanks

Windows 8.1 Preview cannot be uninstalled. However, if what you want is to remove Windows completely, start up in OS X, open Boot Camp Assistant (in /Applications/Utilities) and follow the steps to remove the Windows partition.
If what you want is to install the final Windows 8.1 version, read this Microsoft support article > http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/update-from-preview

Yes, removing a device will uninstall Windows Intune Center and its association with Windows Intune. Check this:
http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsintune.latest/hh949661.aspx [Removing a Device by Using the Windows Intune Company Portal], and
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh441723.aspx [Add Computers, Users, and Mobile Devices to Windows Intune].
    Hope this helps..

  • If I have already loaded Windows 7 in bootcamp and want to repatition, do I need to uninstall Windows?

I loaded Windows 7 in bootcamp on my Macbook Pro Retina and want to repartition.  Will everything just simply be deleted in bootcamp,or would Inneed to uninstall Windows 7 and then repartition?

If you want to add space to the Windows volume, just use Paragon Camptune X > http://www.paragon-software.com/downloads/camptune.html This application allows you to give more storage to the Windows volume quickly, without deleting the volume.
If you want to create another volume, note that Boot Camp requires that the hard drive is partitioned into two partitions, the OS X and the Windows partitions, so you can't create more when you install Windows on the computer. There are workarounds, but I think that you should leave this as it is now

  • Uninstall windows XP from iMac running Mavericks

I wish to uninstall windows XP service pack 3 from my iMac running Mavericks I have removed all I can see but it still appears to be in the back ground any help please

I am not using Boot Camp I am using Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac
The Virtual Machine you created (windows XP service pack 3) is located in your /Documents/Parallels folder or in /Users/Shared/Parallels folder. If all you want to do is delete it, you can go to that folder and drag the VM file to the trash. I use Fusion rather than Parallels and in Fusion, you can right click on the virtual machine name and one of the choices is to delete it. I'd imagine Parallels has something similar.
BTW, although Microsoft is no longer supporting XP with security updates, Microsoft Security Essentials can still be forced to download and install the latest virus definitions. You just have to tell Security Essentials to update itself.

  • Uninstalling Windows via Boot Camp, still partitioning after roughly 1 hour

    Hi,
This is my first post, but I'm a long time searcher. I usually find what I'm looking for, but in this case I thought best to ask. I hope I follow the correct etiquette!
So today I thought I would have a go at installing Windows XP via Boot Camp on my MacBook Pro. To cut a long story short, I completely messed it up because I (stupidly) read SP1 instead of SP2 on the CD and essentially it didn't install anything from the boot CD's -- as you would expect.
So after a quick panic I got back running in OS, and have now just tried to uninstall windows using Boot Camp, following the correct instructions, and after around an hour now it's status is still reading: Partitioning disk.....
Is this to be expected, or is this wrong? Initially I only partitioned 32Gb for Windows as I didn't really want to do anything with it.
I have done a few searches and got some mixed answers - ranging from it should be instantaneous, to it could take an hour.
    What should I do next?
    Thanks in advance.

Well......First, I should say that although I've used Macs for many years I'm not an expert by any means. So, take my advice with caution.
In some ways it seems like, without a full backup, you are sort of between a rock and a hard place =-( I'm not sure what will happen if you force quit the Boot Camp repartitioning. It might be o.k. and it might bugger up your hard drive and require you to reinstall everything. I'm not sure what effect "ejecting" the Windows partition would have.
I guess at some point you're just going to have to do something. When I get to a point where I am in a situation like you are I search the Internet for as much information as I can get. If I can't find a specific answer to my problem at least I usually get some idea of what to try. Then I just go ahead and start trying things. When you get into that situation it is much less stressful if you have a complete backup. (It's really worth spending the money to buy an external hard drive and start using Time Machine to make a backup.)
I know that my answer is not much help. Sorry about that. Maybe someone else will chime in with some more useful information. If they don't I guess that you're just going to have to take a plunge =-(

  • How do I uninstall Windows 7 and undo my partition?

How do I uninstall Windows 7 and undo my partition? I don't use Windows 7 anymore and would like the space back.

Partition is gone but my computer is sitll trying to boot to the window sides (it did this automatically before). It works fine when I hit the Option key and select the Mac (the only option), but do you know why it would still try and boot to the other side. I just got a black screen that told me to insert a disk.

how can i uninstall windows from my mac?

Use the Boot Camp Assistant in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder to return the drive to a single partition setup. If you were running Windows from a disk image, delete that image.

  • Will Windows 8.1 uninstall Windows 2008 server

I have a test box with windows 2008 server install.  I now want to UNINSTALL windows 2008 server and INSTALL windows 8.1. Do Need to uninstall windows 2008 server first or will Windows 8.1 uninstall it for me?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
If Windows Server 2008 is considered no more useful, we may take a clean install of Windows 8.1 and choose to format the whole drive. And it is recommended to take a Windows Server 2008 backup first, just in case.
