Uninstallers on all CC 2014 Apps Non-Responsive

I installed updates from the CC desktop yesterday. Some apps did not install completely and were hung up after running overnight.
Attempted to uninstall the CC 2014 apps that did install and all of the Uninstallers become unresponsive.
Working on an iMac.
Any ideas?

Thanks Rajshree.
I ran the CC Cleaner Tool. It only gave me the option to remove CC Desktop and an Updater app. I removed both and started my computer. Now when I try to run installer programs from the applications folder I receive the attached error.
Any other ideas before I contact support?

  • All web browsers freeze (non responsive)

Hi, can anyone here please help me with the following... I own a fairly good iMac which I bought brand new from apple in 2008, however in the last few weeks I've started noticing problems. Both the web browsers are freezing or hanging constantly, this getting particularly bad today... It happens fast every third or fourth website I visit and the applications just become unresponsive. I've already restarted the mac several time and emptied the history/cache etc but no joy!
I know that with 10.5 Firefox is no longer supported, so I've now uninstalled it but Safari keeps doing the same and Chrome won't install as its not 10.6 or higher!!!... The only solutions I can find on proper sites is to upgrade the operating system or buy a new computer which I think are ridiculous solutions and highly expensive!
Can anyone here help? I've had to use my ipad to type this as the iMac is just now terrible and really annoying to use... For such expensive machines I have to say the support and updates are terrible!!!! Seems like every couple of years they want you to buy new software or machines!
    My specs are;
    Mac OSX 10.5.8
Processor 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory 4GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
    Thanks

Seems like every couple of years they want you to buy new software or machines!
It's every year now and yes it's gotten too crazy, why I'm sticking with 10.6, then BootCamping Windows 7 Pro as it will recieve updates and support until 2020.
10.7 and 10.8 are turning OS X into iOS, it's a horrible interface for a desktop machine, but Apple thinks touchscreens are the future except most of them are likely coding with real keyboards and mice.
    Ok, this is your choices.
First off 10.5 is totally insecure and obviously outdated, unless you backup wipe and reinstall everything offline and then use something like Deep  Freeze to reboot the machine back to the frozen state, don't use anyting senstive online, you might get by a few more years on outdated browsers etc. 10-15% of OS X users are on 10.5 still, mostly PPC Mac's that can't upgrade. You can since you have a Intel processor.
Your next option is since your machine is likely hosed, is to backup files and wipe and install 10.5 again and any programs you can from original sources, update and then insert the 10.6.3 disk you can get via Apple online or calling them, it's like $20 or so. Then Software Updating until your on 10.6.8. Firefox, Chrome will work fine and recieve updates, don't use Safari as it's hasn't been updated for 10.6. So your good there and your 10.5 PPC software will work in Rosetta that gets installed if you need it for older programs. If you go this route your machine will be fast, faster than 10.5 as 10.6 has updated video drivers. This should do for you if you think your machine is getting a bit long in the tooth or don't want to spend too much more money on it.
The next step is costly, going from 10.6.8 to 10.8 (skip 10.7) via the AppStore online download, your machine qualifies, however all your PPC based software will not work requiring replacement and 10.8 will likely slow down your machine a bit. Slower than 10.6. Also it's a radical change, more like iOS. If you like iOS then 10.8 is your logical step. However there is a drawback, if the firmware upgrade hoses your iMac, then the only repair is a logicboard replacement and if your out of AppleCare then your looking at a new hardware purchase.
Your machine is 5 years old, thus out of AppleCare. Also depending how much you've used the machine, how long it's been on and inhaling dust to clog up the machine that casues it to overheat and kill things like the video card and the hard drive. Also how much you have been using the Superdrive which is needed. Only you know that.
So there is your choices, if you can't do the backup, OS X 10.5 install, then upgrade to 10.6 and then to 10.8, then have a local Mac specialist do it for you.

  • Should I delete all the CC apps since I also have the CC 2014 apps?

Should I delete all the CC apps since I also have the CC 2014 apps to save my hard disk space?

    you can if you want.
make sure you've opened all your 2014 apps first if you want to migrate settings (and that works for you).

  • My Ipad 2 no longer displays anything. It may come on for a few seconds, but then half of the screen goes completely black, and the system becomes non responsive to all bottons. At other times all four sides of the display becomes black, about 1/4 inch.

Can anyone help me on this one? I got my IPAD 2 in June 2011. It never gave problems until a few days ago. It began to "hang", becoming non-responsive to all buttons. Then just yesterday morning, it went totally black. The display no longer displays. The Battery was charged 96%. I tried the power adapter, but had the same result. I tried the resetting, holding the two buttons for 10 seconds or more but no result. I have already restored it to the factory setting,(via my PC) and put back my apps etc. But after all this I still cannot see anything on the screen.
I know it is still working, because from time to timer I hear the message alerts, and other sounds.
    Waht is the likely solution?

    Try a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

  • Mavericks won't install, the button in App Store is blank and non-responsive.

This is extremely frustrating, and I have read every website trying to answer this issue. None of their problems match mine.
I tried to download Mavericks yesterday. It appeared to download as normal, with the icon in launch pad, but the progress bar never moved. I cancelled the download, and tried to restart it. The download button is non-responsive. I've tried going to the store tab, clicking unfinished downloads, and it says all downloads are complete.
When I go to purchases, Mavericks is listed under "other downloads," but the button is solid black with no text, e.g. download or install, and is non-responsive. Clicking the button does nothing.
I have tried using CCleaner to clean the app store's cache, restarting the computer with a full shutdown, quitting and restarting App Store, etc. Nothing works.
If I close and reopen App Store after a full shut down, Mavericks will disappear from the purchases menu. If I go to Mavericks, click "free upgrade," then button changes to "install." When I click install, nothing happens. Mavericks reappears under the purchases menu with its button, again, completely black with no text. The button is non-responsive.
Having a $2,500 Mac, I have to say that I am extraordinarily upset with the shoddy work of Apple over the past few years. For $2,500 I expect the product to work.

Actually, it appears to have started downloading, even the the purchases tab still doesn't reflect it.
Try what I did, typing "sudo nvram boot-args="-x"" (include the quotations around the -x), and then entering your account password.
Reboot the system, which will cause it to do a full reboot (you'll find your mac operates very slowly). Log into your account, then try hitting "free upgrade" and "download" from the Mavericks page in app store (not the purchases tab). It will ask you for your Apple ID and password, then it *should* automatically take you to launch pad.
If the download doesn't seem to be progressing, press the icon in launch pad to pause it. Exit launch pad and scroll down in App Store to 'free apps" on the right side. Click to download one of them, enter your password and Apple ID as usual, and see if it downloads. Once finished, hit the Mavericks icon again to unpause it. It should start then. It's clearly a very large install, so over the past thirty minuites the progress bar has moved roughly a milimeter.

  • I have logged in to my itunes account on a different computer and none of my purchased music is showing up. I also have plugged my iphone in to get updates but it says I will lose all media and apps if I don't update on the computer where  I sync everythi

I have logged in to my itunes account on a different computer and none of my purchased music is showing up. I also have plugged my iphone in to get updates but it says I will lose all media and apps if I don't update on the computer where  I sync everything. I have authorized this new computer so I don't know what the problem is. I can't get on my old computer with my itunes account because the computer is broken. Not sure what to do

"I have logged in to my itunes account on a different computer and none of my purchased music is showing up."
Correct.  it does not magially appear in other places.  It will only be where you put it.
"I also have plugged my iphone in to get updates but it says I will lose all media and apps if I don't update on the computer where  I sync everything. "
Correct as well.  Iphone will sync with one computer at a time.  Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one.

  • I went on a trip and when I came back almost all my ipad apps were gone(I suspect my dad). When I went to go look at my account it was as the same as the ipad, it had none of my other games on there. How do I get my account back to how it was

I went on a trip and when I came back almost all my ipad apps were gone(I suspect my dad). When I went to go look at my account it was as the same as the ipad, it had none of my other games on there. How do I get my account back to how it was

I kind of ran into the same issue when I checked my purchased apps on my iPad in the iTunes store.  A bunch were not there.  I then looked at iTunes on my computer and again, a bunch were missing.  I realized I had not synched in quite a while.  Once I synched everything was ok.  As the poster above said, iTunes knows you have already purchased them so you can redownload for free.  However, be aware that when you do red own load you will be asked to pay again, just say ok and the next popup will say that you have already purchased the app.
Lesson I learned - synch more often.  Boy, I can't wait for IOS5......

  • TS1382 4th gen iPod nano wheel and buttons still non-responsive after all t-shooting suggestions performed.

    Hello all,
My beautiful 1 year old daughter pull my nano off a Bose speaker dock and ever since the wheel and buttons have been non-responsive.  I've tried a rest and all troubleshooting steps with no luck.  Does anyone out there have any other suggestions?  Thanks.

Mine is no longer responding to anything but when it's connected to the computer, it will restore and sync, but I cannot turn it off, play music or anything else and I would really like to know a solution for this as well!

  • Deleted all my cc 2014 Apps.

I am wondering if I am the only person that is so annoyed with Adobe's insane number of versions that I have deleted all their cc 2014 apps which are just taking up space on my machine and create catastrophic confusion with clients and other vendors who are using the same apps with different iterations.
It's ridiculous to not be able to open an After Effect or Premiere project just because one version says: CC and the other version says CC 2014. Don't be me started on managing all the after market plug ins that create impossibly confusing situations with CC projects that get accidentally opened with CC 2014 and then resaved and become unable to be accessed by the CC version.
These apps are taking up space, basically duplicates of stuff I already have that are full of plug ins that I bought which sometimes are not compatible with the CC2014 versions.
ADOBE, STOP this please. It's confusing and time is being wasted with folks who have to work with multiple vendors on the same project.
    Thank you.

Ever since I installed CC, I have had nothing but problems.
Typical Capitalist bastards, sell you a product and the hold you ransom to their ridiculous terms.
What pisses me off is that they forced me into using CC which is clearly  riddled with problems, and have the audacity
to take my money for a service and product they are not providing.
I was happy before - now all I do is freaking update every damn day, and solve errors, which leaves me little time to do my job.

  • 4620 all in one control panel non responsive

4620 all in one printer front control panel buttons non-responsive.  The panel shows information but nothing happens when pushing buttons.  So I can not copy, etc.  I can print from the computer which is directly hooked up.  The wireless light is on even though I don't use it.  I have tried unplugging with no luck.

Hey , Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that the control panel display on your HP Officejet 4620 e-All-in-One Printer is unresponsive. I would like to assist you today with resolving this issue. There is the chance that either a power issue or Firmware Programming issue is occuring within your product. Therefore, to start troubleshooting I am going to have you perform some standard hardware troubleshooting steps. Please follow the steps below.  Step 1: Check Power: Please plug your printer directly into a wall outlet for power. Power strips and surge protectors may cause your printer to lack power and not respond properly. Once your printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet please power it on. Next, please test the control panel buttons and Copy function to confirm that the issue is resolved. Should the issue persist, please proceed to the next step.    Step 2: Perform a Power Reset: Turn your printer ONWith the printer ON please disconnect the power cable from the rear of your printerLeave the power cable disconnected for 60 secondsAfter 60 seconds plug the power cable back inYour printer should start back up on its ownOnce your printer returns to the Ready state please test the control panel buttons and Copy function to confirm if the issue has been resolved. Should the issue persist please proceed.    Step 3: Update Firmware:  The Firmware is the internal Programming within your printer. Essentially, it is the 'brains' of your printer and controls what your printer does and how your printer does it. If the internal Firmware Programming is corrupted, it may cause performance issues within your printer. Therefore, I would like you to run the latest Firmware Update for your printer. However, before I am able to provide you with the correct Firmware Update to run I do need to know what Operating System you're using on your computer. Once I find out what Operating System you're using I will provide the latest Firmware Update for you to download and 'send' to your printer.   Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Should the issue persist, be sure to include your Operating System in your response. I look forward to hearing from you. Good luck!

  • When updating to CC 2014 do I delete or Uninstall all the CS6 Apps?

I recently Updated to CC2014 and wondering if its ok to Uninstall or delete all the CS6 Apps. I want to make sure I'm saving space on my computer by only using the updated versions and wondering if all my work files are automatically seen by CC2014 apps?

I like using the Adobe Removal Tool to erase all traces of Adobe from my computer before restarting. I have had trouble when I just removed the individual applications from Windows 7 and reinstalled CC 2014.
If you are a Bridge user, make sure that you purge the entire cache first (edit: preferences: cache: purge cache).
    Good luck!
