Uninstalling a third party camera?

I have drivers for a third party camera installed, (specifically vupointsolutions) and I read that those drivers that were installe may be interfering with my iSight, and that is why it is no longer working. I dont want to do a whole restore, so if anyone could tell me where these drivers were installed and how I could go about uninstalling them? I would greatly appreciate the assistance. Thanks in advance!

You could try a spotlight search using 'vupointsolutions' ...make sure you allow spotlight to search your complete drive.
Also, sometimes driver installers will tell you where they will put stuff (sometimes even have an uninstaller), so you might want to find/launch the installer again to see if it gives you any clues as to where things are going.

Actually this Solution is for one of my Client.
Just got an Update from them, they are using Sony Camcorders through HDMI Switcher.
They will be Connecting 3-4 Camcorders to Switcher & Will Switch Accordingly.....
Will SX20 Support??? Only For the Video??? Since VC they will control it through Crestron Mechanism.

How to uninstall a third party home button widget from 5c ?

Hey there
I have just bought my wife a new 5C.
Previous to this she had an iphone 4 that had a third party home button widget installed (due to the home button on the handset crapping out a while back)
I have done a restore on the new 5c from the latest backup from the old 4 and the third party home button widget is now on the new phone. Obviously she doesnt need it as the home button on the 5c handset works fine (for now!)
Can any one tell me how to get rid of it ? I cant figure it out for the life of me !

If it's Apple's built-in "widget", it is called "Assistive Touch" and can be found in the "Accessibility" settings.
1) Open the "Settings" app
2) Select "General"
3) Select "Accessibility"
4) Scroll to the bottom of the list, tap "Assistive Touch" and turn it off.
5) The "widget" should now be gone!

Uninstalling a third party application

I'm brand new to using a MAC. I installed a couple FTP programs to upload my website onto its server on yahoo. Anyway. I don't like one of the FTP programs and I would like to uninstall it. How do you uninstall a program???? Where are all it's files???? I see the program under Applications in Finder. But where are all the files???? If I just drag the program into the trash can does that uninstall the program and all its files????

Yes, that's the usual way to uninstall a program on a Mac. Easy, isn't it?
Except:
Programs that came with an installer that contains an uninstall feature
or
programs that came with a separate uninstaller in their folder.
Was it the case when you downloaded it and expanded its .dmg file?
Then use the uninstaller.
If you just dragged it onto the Applications folder, then just trash it and that's it.

PS. "Where are all the files?"
Bundled all in the app itself, plus a preference file in the ~/Library/Preferences folder that you can trash too or keep if you don't want to bother.

I don't think it is supported. if you want to make sure you need to bring a camera with the same applicable video format.

Ichat av & third party camera

My kids are away at college and I wanted to "see" them regularly on ichat. My older imac, not intel core duo, but more than adequate with its 20inch screen and Combo drive does not have a built in camera. I tried several web cams and have found that the +*Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision*+ works beautifully. My kids say that the image is better than the isight, we are also using on one of the imacs. I bought it at costco, but it is available at all the big retailers. No driver required. Just plug it in and wave back at yourself under video connection or video preview.
I have read that other Logitech QuickCam's that will work with VISTA will also work, as they are UVC compliant. Believe me. . . even apple gurus don't know about this one. Apple should carry the this webcam in it stores and online stores to help support those of us who don't buy a new computer every year.

The Fusion USB-webcam is for sale here in the Netherlands.
For Vista you have to download additional software.

Third Party Nikon Camera Contol Software and Lightroom 4?

I am currently shooting tethered, from a camera stand, with a Nikon D90. My images go into a a specific directory. I then import them into Photoshop Elements 10 Organizer. I would like to do everything in one step.
Lightroom 4 lacks the camera control features that are essential for my current task. I have to have Live View and I need to see the image immediately after it is shot. It is also important to be able to change the camera settings from my computer, primarily F Stop. Is there a way to link Lightroom 4 with a third party camera control program such as Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 or something similar. There are several programs that give me adequate camera control.

Allowing Android users to uninstall preloaded 3rd party Applications.

Here's an idea that is a well known problem with Android Tablets that causes many to have to root their tablets to be able to achive getting rid of unwanted bloatware. While I know there are plenty who love to tweak their tablets by flashing custom ROM's and the like.Many of us would just like to beable to uninstall "UNWANTED" Third Party Apps. I for one just bought an A1-810-L888 Tablet.And on it I find McAfee AntiVirus, Amazon Kindle, Amazon MP3, Ebay Application, As well as the Amazon Shopping Application just to name the few that drive me crazy. While I know that we can go into settings and disable these if we don't want to have to look at them or waste time updating constantly applications that we do not want or use. Why shouldn't we have the ability to uninstall them if we so choose?It is no different then if we buy a windows pc we are allowed to uninstall them on these computers, Why then shouldn't we be able to uninstall them from our Android Tablets? The same reason here using Android is the same reason I delete a lot of the Bloatware off of my Windows Computers, I neither want them or need them. PLUS it saves SSD Space... For example I don't like McAfee but instead prefer Norton's, If I want to shop on Ebay or Amazon I do so through my Browser{s}.The Amazon Android Store App I use because I have used this app for years.But others may not choose to do so. Just some what I think are useful ideas.To help those of us who don't want to have to root their phones just to get rid of stuff we don't need! THANKS...

OK point made.All I was wondering is why it isn't installed like an app that we install ourself? The Software Mfg would still get the chance of someone deciding to use it as I know many do in a Windows install.Hey it's there we can't use anything else. ie: A Ford it's got Ford parts I can't use anything else but Ford Parts.I know plenty of people like this. I was getting constant errors

on my MBP 2011 in Console and my fan was blowing like crazy all the time until I uninstalled all third-party fan software and the f older in the title. Now, I don't know if the folder in the library should be there or not (the assignment 'daemon' is not used much in Mac I don't think) so it's sitting on my desktop for now. But the fan has stopped screaming and I have no more SMC errors on Console.
I do have a question though. I have free third party widgets (Temperature Monitor) that monitor some temperatures but I don't know how accurate they are. I am a bit confused though. Right now the only visible applications running are Finder, Safari, and Console (well, throw Dashboard in there too) and it's quiet as a mouse. The temperature readings I'm getting are as follows:
Left Palm Rest 25
Main Heatsink2 38
CPU A Proximity 46
CPU A Temperature Diode 48
When I have a bunch of applications going that really tax the CPU the last figure can go into the 80's, fan full blast, but always goes back into the 70's or 60's quickly. When everything is at rest it's as above. No other problems except application specific ones like Mail.app.
I don't understand the difference between the Heatsink and CPU A Proximity and CPU A Temperature Diode. Which one should be concerned more about?
And, again, can I delete the FanControlDaemon folder or should I put it back?

All of the temperatures that you report are normal for the types of usage involved. I am always concerned about the temperature that has the highest value, which usually is the CPU. I ignore the rest.
In regards to 'FanControlDaemon' go to the developers website and get the appropriate uninstall instructions. Sometimes one has to reinstall an application and then follow the uninstall instructions in order to rid the MBP of all its elements.

WVC54G setup for third party applications and also firmware query.

I have resurrected someone's old WVC54G and installed it to work initially wirelessly to my netwark and then my Windows 7 64-bit laptop. I did an initial reset, then set up the ip address etc. to the system here, and everything seems to work even though the viewer and recorder software installer gave a Windows error message.
I'd like to be able to look at the camera via the VLC viewer application, and I see from another posting here that this should work. Is there a guide anywhere showing how to do this? Ideally I'd like to understand how to interface the camera so that I can test various third party camera applications.
Also, the Linksys setup software says the firmware version is V5.10, Feb 21, 2005, which seems a much higher number than it should be. Is this right?

Try downloading the viewer and recorder utility from the linksys website under the download section which is pretty user friendly.
To view it in VLC player, you can use the option 'open url' in file menu and type in http://your camera's IP
The latest FW for wvc54g is ver. 2.11. The version you have mentioned might be software version.

I try to operate a third party Camera (C CAM) by LabVIEW. I try by call library function node. But I fail to get data by call library function node.
Is there have any other way to operate third party device except call library function / CIN?

Other ways to access a third party device is via ActiveX, sending commands via the system exec VI, etc. However, my guess is that you need to try harder with the .dll

The article "Can LabVIEW C? - Example 3: Using the Right Tools with LabVIEW" is an excellent starting point.
I don't know about that camera, but if it is a webcam, you can do a search on toolkits to access a webcam from LabVIEW.

hello there thank u so much for ur reply!! ok i uninstalled mackeeper now and the put back option is still in grey im so confused...i tried restarting my computer like u said and put back still in grey??!! the files that are in my trash are everything from Accounts,address book plug-ins,address book,adobe,aim.........then stuff like apple,Audio,....to caches color pickers,colors,com.apple.TCC,to DVD player to facebook,google to ilifemedia browser to itunes to keychains to movie effects,preferences printers to skype...my Native instruments files BUT not all of them my garage band but not all of it...it seriously looks like my whole library is in the trash i tried to put things back where i THINK they belong and it just added the item or folder under where i thought it went and didnt restore functionality to for instance google chrome and all my book marks are there....they seem to be only certain things from my library that would have added some functionality to apps and programmes like my garageband is missing stuff photobooth wont work so on.......kinda looks a bit like this thats only the half of it!!
