Uninstalling and cleaning computer of ITunes
How do I completely uninstall and clean my compter of ITunes and begin again. I installed 11.1.2 and it didn't allow me to do what I desired, include my music folders, so I uninstalled it and installed ITunes 10 but it tells me it can't open because of already installed software
Hi,
Download this utility from Microsoft:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Open it: Start > All Programs > Windows Installer CleanUp
Find QuickTime in it, click on it, and click Remove
Then, go here and download and install QuickTime
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
NOTE: Make sure you choose the version of Quick Time that DOES NOT include iTunes.
Good luck,
CG

I have recently upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 7 and I have lost 3 app icons. The apps still appear in settings, so I can't reinstall the app as they're already there. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling via an iTunes sync, but it hasn't helped. The 3 apps are bbc iplayer, itv player and sky go.
Can anyone help please?Have you checked to see if the Apps have been placed in an App folder?
Try swiping down from the middle of the screen so the search bar appears. Type the name of the App and if the App appears it is indeed on your phone.
You could also try restarting your device by holding the power and home button until the Apple logo appears. -
if i buy a movie in itunes, the movie will be avaliable on my iMac and my computer with itunes? They have the same ID Apple...
Once the movie has completey download, having an Internet connection is no longer necessary. It would be wise to test the movie before you leave, though, in case of glitches.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes 15 times regarding the latest release and still get the MSVCR80.dll and Error 7 (Windows error 126) messages.
I have tried moving the dll filesincluding the QTMovie dll file to now avail. Can anyone please help, as I am sure you all, like me, have thousnads of dollars and songs invested in this system and need a fix fast. Can anyone please help???Dear avid iTunes users - I have cracked it!!!
The response from Apple/iTunes was extremely poor and did not solve the problem.
I have a look in msconfig and observed which applications/services were running - one of which was the 'Apple Application Support'
So ... I had a look at what was in this folder and found the APS Daemon.exe file causing all the trouble.
So ... I simply deleted the Apple folder found in C:\program files\common files\.
I did a restart and did not get the MSCVCR80.dll or Error 7 (windows 126) error messages.
I reinstalled the current version of iTunes (for the 16th time!)
Hey presto!!!
IT WORKED :-O Woooohooo!!!
So ... to all those smarty-pants boffin-brianiacs out there (apple/iTunes): this is how you do it!!!!!!!!!!
YOU DO NOT NEED TO UNINSTALL ALL THE APPLE/QUICKTIME OR RELATED PROGRAMS - JUST DELETE THE APPLE FOLDER IN THE C:\PROGRAM FILES DIRECTORY.
Nuff said. -
itunes woUld not open. I got the message "MSVCR.dll is missing". I uninstalled and tried to reinstall, but got the message "apple mobile devicE failed to start". any help is appreciated.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

I am using Win7 x64.
To make a long story short, I unistalled Bonjour. When the next update for iTunes came out (Ver. 10.4.1), I was unable to update due to the error message: "Service Bonjour (Bonjour Services) failed to start. Please verify you have sufficient administrative permission and try again" or something along those lines. After trying several things to no avail, I finally did a clean uninstall of iTunes, Quicktime, and all related components as per http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923. When I then tried to reinstall iTunes and Quicktime, I got the same error message. I know people have had problems with Bonjour before, but I couldn't find any info on why I am getting this after a clean uninstall or what to do about it, so any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Hi,
I've recently replaced my iphone 5 and I couldn't restore my data into my new phone, as it asked me to do the software upgrade on itunes in my computer. So, I did the itunes upgrade, which is now causing the Runtime error R6034. I wonder if I would loose my data (i.e., can't restore the data into my new phone), if I follow the uninstalling & re-installing steps. Plz advice, as how this runtime error can be fixed and at the sametime, I will still be able to restore my data into my new phone.Suresh14 wrote:

Uninstalling & Re-installing iTunes will not delete your iTunes Library Data.
Do the following:
Uninstall from Windows the following four programs: iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour and Apple Application Support. You do this from an applet in Control Panel called Programs & Features (in Windows 8, 7, or Vista) or Add or Remove Programs (in Windows XP).
Download the latest version of iTunes from Apple and note the location you're saving it to so you can find it once it's done.
Run the iTunes installation as an administrator, just Right click iTunes installer and Run as Administrator. -
FF started hanging up recently so I did a complete clean uninstall including profile. then a complete clean install. I've disabled all plugins and extensions still to no avail. I just open FF and wait a few seconds with out even going to a page and I get the Beach Ball of Death, have to force quit every time. Disabled hardware accel also after reading through the forums. Nothing seems to help. Chrome and Safari work just fine.

Why won't it recognize?
iCloud is free, iTunes match is $25 a year.
I had the same problem and when I went to Settings I had 0 songs, even though they were obviously still there since I only had 15GB free on my 64GB device.
I decided to do a complete reset/restore of my 4th gen iPod Touch, Bad move! I've been messing with it for hours, and it simply won't restore--it keeps hanging on a black screen with an Apple logo and a progress bar at about 10%, sometimes it goes completely blank and tries again, with the same result. (I've posted my question/plea for help here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19735862 )
I'm ready to bang my head against the wall! I can put the device in recovery mode, connect to iTunes on my computer, and get it back to the setup screen, but when I go through the process again and try to do an iCloud backup I get the same reset/restore loop.
I could start from scratch, but I really, really, really don't want to go through all of my hundreds of apps, reinstall them one by one, etc. etc. etc.
I thought that once I started using iCloud, I didn't need to sync with iTunes anymore--guess I was wrong. -
My friend gave me an ipod that is disabled and i dont know the code. the computer that has the original itunes for the ipod is broken so i cant restore it. i dont know the password, can someone please help.
Did you try plugging your iPod into the computer and hitting Restore iPod?

Installed FF5 and got searchqu, after uninstall and clean, FF3.6 OK
Never had searchqu problems until installing FF5. Had to completely uninstall FF5 and then clean up windows. IE & Chrome were ok then. Reinstalled FF5, same again, searchqu/406. I have cleaned up windows again, and everything is fine. It does seem that this malware is related to FF5. Im using Dell XPS M1530 with Vista 32 home premium, although I still prefer XP.
