Uninstalling downloaded copy of DW CS4

I downloaded the trial, then purchased a copy of CS4 and am running it on my G5. I will be relocating soon and will not be able to take the G5 with me at that time. I have a MacBook Pro I will be taking and want to know the best way to uninstall from one and re-install on the other without completely losing the program. Should I save it to disk first? If so, just drag the app folder or there other files that I should copy along with it?

You can install it on two separate machines - one can be installed on Tiger, the other on Leapord. You don't have uninstall the one on Tiger to use it on Leapord. Just leave the program be (but make sure to quit it before starting up the other installation on the other machine - they can't be running at the same time). So I'm not sure I see the point in copying and transfering the programs between the machines - you should use them as two separate installations that use the same serial number as per the license agreement.
Now if you meant transfering your work, say a site you worked on, from the G5 to the laptop - no problem. You'll just need to make sure to set-up the site definitions the same and copy your files over to the folder that your site definition points to.
Same thing with Flash - just copy your .FLA's over to your other machine and open 'em up and you're good to go.

Savages4 please try running the Acrobat Cleaner tool located at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html. It should allow you to remove the previous installation.

InDesignCS3 was downloaded from the internet. CS4 suite was installed from CDs. Both are currently on my computer. How can I uninstall InDesignCS3?

Just use the add/remove programs feature in the control panel, but I would strongly suggest that you don't do this. If you ever need to supply a CS3 file you'll be sorry you uninstalled it.

Reinstalling a downloaded copy of Elements 7

I am having to change computers because of trhe demise of XP. I have a copy of Elements 7 that satisfies my needs that I use. It is a downloaded copy and I would like to install it on the new computer. The old compter will be sent to the graveyard. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try to migrate/transfer over any files or applications to this computer? If so please uninstall Photoshop Elements and then try running the CC Cleaner Tool. I am not positive how effective the cleaner tool will be for removing Photoshop or Premiere Elements 7. It does look like Photoshop Elements was developed for Windows Vista so there is a chance it may function under Windows 7 or 8.

As far as uninstalling goes, you will uninstall it like you do for any program, which depends on what kind of operating system you have. If you wish to retain albums and whatnot, maybe the following link can provide some guidance.

Actually, you are out of luck if you are looking for Acrobat Standard. I have run into a problem because the link is for Adobe 9.0 Pro and the serial no. for Std. won't work. I asked Adobe customer (chat) service for a downloadable of the Standard and they said they don't have one. Did you get the Std. version as part of the preinstalled software on your computer? If so, it would be on the recovery media of your old laptop but I don't know how you would retrieve it from there. I am in the exact same boat as you are. Let me know if you find out how to get the media for the Standard by responding on this thread. Thanks.

Download/Copy/Print Report Links

I have set up a link to a report(briefing book navigation) in a dashboard, when I click on the link to the report it opens up in a new window. However the download/copy/print options are missing in the report.
I checked the original saved report and see these options available there but these do no show up when opening the report from the dashboard.
Can anyone suggest why this maybe the case?

Adobe used to have (discontinued a year ago) a program for printers called ASN whereby we could purchase and download all the latest versions and updates for the full suite CS4 for 2 Macs and 2 PCs at a very reasonable price. We could only download; they did not send box sets. Suddenly all Mac CS4 applications crash on our Mac. Adobe says they no longer support CS4 and won't acknowledge a place to download from their site (of course we have serial number). The other issue is that we are still running Mac OSX 10.4.11 (Tiger) on a non Intel Mac so an upgrade to CS 5.5 will not run on our computer.
Does anyone know where we can find a download of the full CS4 for Mac on the Adobe site? We paid Adobe and feel we should have access to what we paid for. Thanks in advance.
