Uninstalling issues?

I am running Logic Pro 9 on an Imac & I would like to uninstall Mainstage & Garage band as I don't use them & I want to make room for other softwares.If I do so will it affect Logic by any chance? I find the 'garage band' efects on plugins in Logic.Will I loose them if I uninstall Garage Band or Mainstage?

Between them both, GB and Mainstage use 'just' 909 MB of your Internal HDD space. That's not much
I'd leave them there and avoid running into unforseen troubles later...

Oracle Uninstall Issue

Dear All,
I have installed 11g R1 (win 32) successfully on windows vista (home premium).
However I was not able to connect on configuration assistant since yesterday.
I tried to delete using DBCA GUI but unable to do so then I tried to uninstall using Oracle Universal Installer but it also hangs.
I understand I can deinstall by using deinstall utility or manual un install but I am trying to understand the issue.

Installation/uninstall issues between CS4 and CS5

I had CS4 installed. I purchased CS5 (downloaded it) installed that. When I got the disks via mail, I tried to install that version (disk version). I started having issues as to which program would open a .prproj file. Often the CS4 version of Premiere Pro opened. Not what I wanted. I eventually uninstalled CS5 entirely and then reinstalled. Then things were working fine. However, I then tried to uninstall CS4. (I have seen from numerous posts/comments to leave both on -- which I really don't know why. Doesn't make sense to keep both versions). I prefer not to have an extra 4GB of space used for programs I am no longer using. However, in doing so, the uninstall didn't appear to do a perfect job. And now I can't double-click a .prproj file. This icon is also blank white. I went into Set Associations and I can't assign .prproj to Premiere CS5. In looking at the Open With window, I notice that some of the icons for other Adobe programs are all splewy (Adobe Encore is using the CS4 icon, Adobe Illustrator is using the PDF icon, Flash Catalyst is using the Air icon, etc.)
I could: a) uninstall everything, including Adobe Acrobat Pro (which I had purchased and installed prior to CS4 or CS5) and then reinstall everything -- sheesh that would take a while; or b) I could ask my friends here to explain and guide me!

I am not so positive that there is no difference between the download version vs the media version specifcially because in downloading the updates, the site demands you choose your update depending on how your software was installed. I figured that the download would be smaller. Perhaps you are right. And maybe it is the same, in either case, when I get a stack of disks, I tend to think there is more on the disk and the download version is merely the core applications.
Anyway, I had to uninstall everything CS4 and CS5 and then reinstall CS5. Oddly, this didn't automatically fix my problem. However, at least I was able to choose Premiere CS5 to open .prproj files and check off the box to use it as the default. (I wasn't able to before). So now it works!

Uninstall issues cs6 osx 10.7.5 lion

I recently uploaded indesign cs6 onto my computer. It was the trial version.
After a few days i realized i know longer needed it. I uninstalled it ysing the uninstaller on my computer.
Since then i have had scrolling IsIssue, slowed internet issues and more.

Oracle ASM uninstall issue.

Hello folks. I am using Oracle Database 10.2.0.5
I am having some issues here:
I was told to uninstall a Single instance database that was using a ASM.
I did it using dbca, now i was told to uninstall ASM. But i have a problem, i don't know what's the node's name. How can i check this, once the database was already uninstalled ?
I tried to use crs_start

ADOBE FLASH PLAYER UNINSTALL ISSUE- FEB 2015

hello fellow mac users - I have an adobe flash player question...
I am sure everyone is aware of the adobe flash player vulnerability that came out late January 2015.   Initially when I saw that, I promptly removed flash player on my machine and installed the new version 16.0.0.287.    A day later when I started my machine, I saw a Flash Player message indicating I have to download again. I googled and found out Adobe actually only partially fixed the vulnerability.
Exasperated, I decided to say bye-bye to Adobe Flash for good by uninstalling Flash Player.   After uninstalling, I went to Youtube and played a video - it shows that its using HTML5 codec to play the video - so far, so good.
The issue I am having is that since I uninstalled the Flash Player, whenever I start up my machine I am getting this "Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller" pop up window.
The first time I saw it, I clicked on UNINSTALL button and it will say "Adobe Flash Player was removed".   But every day when I start up my machine, it still shows this pop up message and its driving me bonkers.
is there a way to remove or prevent this pop-up from showing up?   BTW I checked my machine's preferences and Adobe Flash Player is no longer listed.
BTW I have a iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011), Processor 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

RESOLVED - Feb 3 2015
I believe I have found the issue and resolution on that pesky Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller - thought i'd share in case this would help someone.
Since that f***ing Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller pops up each time I start up the machine, I thought I should check the "startup" items in my Mac machine. So I did my research and I did the following steps:
1. Click on Mac > System Preferences
2. Select Users and Groups
3. User and Groups window pops up - On the right pane you'll see "Password" and "Login Items" items - click on "Login Items".
On the Login items - I did see 'Adobe Flash Player Installer' - apparently this triggers the Uninstaller instead of Installer - but whatever - I have banned Flash Player from my Mac so I highlight this item on the Login Items list, and click on the minus sign button - it removed the Adobe Flash Player Installer from the Login Items list.    Then I restarted my machine - and voila - NO MORE PESKY Adobe Flash Player uninstaller pop-ups!!!! Hurrah!!!
Again this might help specifically for those who want to BAN Adobe Flash Player from their machines and are seeing the Adobe Flash Player Installer / Uninstaller every time they start up their machine. Apparently this is not a widespread problem but it still does happen. Good luck y'all and say goodbye to Adobe Flash Player (sorry Adobe, but I do still love your core products like Lightroom and Photoshop). Adobe should not have bought Macromedia (who originally developed Flash and Shockwave) years back but who would have known Flash would be such a headache (no thanks to cybercriminals)...

Uninstall issues help...

I am trying to uninstall developer workplace and I am coming across an issue where it won't let me continue. Once I enter my SAP System ID to uninstall, I get the message: "SAP system GMZ is based on AS Java. Cannot remove it."
Are there any ideas how to get past this?

Help! Install/Uninstall Issue

My granddaughter installed a new IPOD Nano on my HP Pavilion 552w about 2 weeks ago. Initial installation went OK and she downloaded tunes. Since the installation, my PC has stalled at shutdown. So...I tried to uninstall and reinstall the Nano. Upon "uninstall" the installation wizard locked up and gave me a message indicating there was a "missing file" and could not be uninstalled. Next, I tried to utilize the disk for a reinstall/uninstall and, again, I received the message that there was a missing file and could not be installed/uninstalled. So, we went online and tried to download a more current updater. Again, after 4 hours of downloading, the message came up again that there was a file missing and the download was incomplete.
I've spent about 40 hours the last week trying to correct the problem, but I haven't tried "Disk Mode" or "reset." I'm not sure either would address my problem. I checked the troubleshooting info at the Apple site, but didn't see anything addressing my issue. I'm new to Apple and don't have a clue what to do. Where do I go next?
I've tried everything I could think of with no results. Any of you Apple users have a suggestion? I'm ready to shoot my PC and myself. Help!

Since completion of the reinstall and upgrade, Quick Time icon is missing from the desktop and iTunes gives error message, "iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes."
gaaah. another one of these. i think we've got something more than a missing file issue going on here.
it sounds like the QT part of your itunes install hasn't been going through properly. but if it was just the program files that were missing or broken, we would expect you to be getting an "itunes has encountered an error ..." message. the "some of its required files ..." message actually usually indicates something odd has happened in the registry. (for example, people can get this if they system restore over top of a fresh itunes install and strip out the installation registry entries.)
i've been seeing a few cases of this hitting people overnight, too. so i'm getting worried that this might be a symptom in some cases of a malware problem.
first, let's quickly check for evidence that you might have a W32.Pinfi infection. (that can attack QT, and cause varied and mysterious problems during an itunes install.)
have a look in your temp directory again. is there a 7-character name file there with a .tmp extension?
the first three characters can be any letter. the last four characters can be any number, or the letters A through F.

Acrobat XI Pro Uninstall Issues.

I am unable to uninstall Adobe Acrobat XI Pro from my Windows 7 computer. I have tried to uninstall it via the control panel a number of times. I have also used the Adobe Cleaner with no luck. Is there a way to uninstall it so that I can re-install it with my Creative Cloud subscription?

Thank you for your quick response. I have no access to Acrobat XI Pro or any other form of Acrobat so I am unable to access the Help>Deactivate choice. Due to some computer issues I removed my total creative cloud with the idea that I would be able to install it again and get things back to normal. I was able to get my Creative cloud back but since I did not remove Acrobat correctly I have not been able to deactivate or delete it. I even tried the Adobe Cleaner. Acrobat XI Pro still shows in my Control Panel but I am unable to get rid of it so that I can re-install it so that it will work correctly.

Installing and Uninstalling Issues

Well, I turned on my computer today to find that my version of the Flash Player is no longer valid. Fine, now worries. I tried to install the new version, but I kept getting errors. They said that it was unable to complete installation becuase I had no actionlist. Whatever that is. I've spent the last few hours looking for a few solutions. I tried uninstalling (via the download from Adobe) but that doesn't work either! I keep getting a "Not a Win32" error of some kind. Point is, I can't uninstall the leftover files from my last update, and I can't install the new update. I'm currently using Firefox. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Uninstall issues

When I try to uninstall Adobe reader 9.4.5 it tells me I need to install a disk which i don't have. Same message when I try to install the latest version of Adobe reader! What do i need to do?

Use the Acrobat Cleaner Tool to remove the old version, then try installing the new version again.

Weblogic Uninstall Issue

We have installed WebLogic 32-bit install on WIN 2008 64-bit server by specifying a local JVM (jrockit) during installation. Upon uninstalling we get a fatal error and below is the snapshot of the error. Please let me know if you need the entire log. Can someone please help me out about how to uninstall WebLogic successfully?

I DO NOT have "WIN 2008 64-bit". But I can share some stuff with you. When you install Weblogic Server, it DO NOT store any stuff in any complex or hidden places like Registry files or personal folders etc. All it will do is, install all the stuff directly under the folder that you specify at the time of installation. Then add the Shortcuts to Start -> Program Files -> etc etc. Finally it will create a folder with a name "bea" under root folder like C:\ or D:\ on windows, and this folder will have one file named beahomelist that can be opened in any text editor. It will have just entries for each Weblogic Home that you install on this machine.
So to unistall, the decent proceedure to remove it from Add/Remove Programs. Or run this script located at: C:\yourBEAHome\utils\uninstall\uninstall.exe. NOW after this, it will definetly will not remove full folder of yourBEAHome and in your case looks like Shortcuts are not getting deleted. Simply delete them manually. After uninstall is over, delete yourBEAHome manually. Delete the shortcuts manually. You can delete the c:\bea folder also provided you do not have any other WLS installation. If you have other WLS installation, just make sure the one you deleted is not listed there.
Please note that, justincase if you have any Domains created under your beahome/userprojects/domains etc, take a back up of them, incase if you need them.

PSE9 uninstall issues in order to reinstall

Long story, but I need to uninstall PSE 9 and then reinstall. I'm on Windows 7, 64 bit. I've run the uninstall program through the PC's control panel. Didn't work. Also tried via CCleaner and Advanced Uninstaller Pro 11. Still didn't work. Tried uninstalling manually through the help that was through here: Manually remove Photoshop Elements 9 | Windows Still didn't fully uninstall.
I try reinstalling PSE9 by putting in the CD, but it tried to uninstall and then comes up with an error message: "Error 1316. The specified account already exists." I'm thinking because there's still some elements of PSE9 on my system that I'm unable to reinstall the program, hence why I'm trying to finish uninstalling. I contacted Adobe through their chat help feature and they state that they don't support this version anymore.
I even tried downloading/installing the free version of PSE13 and that also didn't work.
Need some help here. Thanks.

okay for anyone who had the same problem as i did this is what i did.
i took everything off my computer having to do with ipod, itunes and quicktime and i removed any leftover components, then i restarted my computer and reinstalled everything from the cd which came with the ipod when i bought it. from there it told me that my library was too updated for my itunes so i deleted my library after i backed up all my songs and now i itunes works, and believe me whenever itunes tells me i need to upgrade i will never do it!!! dont fix what isnt broken!!
everythings working fine now without any help from apple! i called them multiple times talking to different people and when i told them that there program told me to update and it crashed my itunes therefore it wasnt my fault and i wasnt paying the absurd amount of 50 dollars, they just daid uh huh well then you can buy a different package for two years. i talked to three people and one of them even called me a liar. never will i buy an apple product again!

CS6 beta uninstall issues.

I'm running OS 10.6.8 SL on my mac and have enjoyed using CS6 beta but I'm receiving mulitiple error messages upon trying to uninstall. There are apparently some missing or corrupt files per the error messages. The error messages suggested using the creative suite cleaner tool or contacting support. It appears the cleaner tool suggested is for CS5 only. Any suggestions so I don't have to drag all the files into the trash? I realize that could mess up my system for any future adobe installs but I need to get this beta version off quickly before I purchase. Thanks in advance.

CS2 Uninstall Issues

I installed CS2 discs that I had bought some years back onto my MacBook Pro but couldn't activate because Adobe has disabled the activation server for CS2 applications and now requires me to uninstall the applications and install a special version that does not require activation.
My problem is twofold:
1. The "How to Uninstall" PDF that came with my discs says the first step is to double click the activity monitor.app in applications/utilities then select AHC Remind and click Quit Process. The problem is that I don't have AHCRemind anywhere on my computer. I did a spotlight search and came up empty. So what do I do?
2. My second problem is that I want to make sure that when uninstalling my applications (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign ONLY) that I don't delete anything that will affect the newer version of Adobe Reader that came when I recently upgraded my operating system. The "Uninstall PDF" talks about deleting Adobe Utlities, Updater.app, etc.)
I want to make sure that I don't delete anything important. I am running OS X version 10.6.8.

The only uninstaller for CS2 is in Acrobat everything else goes in the trash. If you are running a Power PC Mac I'd stick with Tiger. The bells a whistles of Leopard are just not worth the the loss of stability. If you still plan on upgrading to Leopard back up you system drive with Superduper! or similar so you can go back if you need to. You can not down grade Leopard like you could previous OSX's

Uninstall Issue

I uninstalled Photoshop CC because it never opened once installed and clicked. It still shows in my Apps as installed so I can't reinstall. What do I do now? Thanks for the help!

I am glad to hear that you were able to reinstall after using CleanMyMac. After reinstall do you now have the proper uninstallers available in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder as previously referenced by Kartikay?
