I installed photoshop and deleted but forgot to uninstall it and now it just sits in creative cloud when i need to reinstall it i dont know what to do someone PLEASE HELP ME.

I installed Photoshop CS and have had the world's worst nightmare trying to get it activated.
Not surprising really. The activation server was permanently decommissioned in 2012.
You now need to download a fresh, non-activation version of CS2 from Adobe and use the new serial number provided to license it without requiring activation. Your existing serial number will no longer work.

Photoshop CS3 help needed

My Photoshop CS3 extended when loaded on my laptop causes all of my desk top icons to turn to photoshop, the only program that will open is photoshop. This program until recently worked great. Anyone with answers would be a big help. Thanks Jess

If I am understanding what you are describing correctly, that sounds like a virus.
Also, it sounds like Photoshop is still working great, but it is the only program that is working great.
Are the icons on your desktop shortcuts? Or are they files? If they are files, it sounds like they have had their file association set to Photoshop. Which means when you double-click them, the OS will use Photoshop to open them. This is something that is set within the OS, not within Photoshop.

hhello everyone I picked up a used copy of photoshop cs3 and cs4 yesterday and I was wondering how do I find out if I can use these. I understand that there is a serial number and an activation code how many computers and I upload and use this program for. Also if it hasn't been deactivated how can I make it so that I can use it on my own computer. I have the Mac version

Hi Robert,
The CS3 and CS4 versions of Photoshop are platform specific. One serial number means you can use it on 2 machines provided you are not using them simultaneously.
In order to obtain the license the previous owner needs to transfer the license to your name.

Indesign and Photoshop?HELP NEEDED NOW!!!

How do I make a copied photoshoped picture bigger without distorting features in indesign? Please help I have this project due in a couple days and am starting and don't know much about indesign!

Anytime you enlarge a bitmap bigger than 100% of its pixel dimensions there will be pixelation. It is only as good as it will get at 100% of its original size.
When you place an image directly on a page its initial placement is at 100%. The scale percentage has nothing to do with pixel dimensions, but rather the image's saved inch dimensions.
So these 3 images are all at 100%, have the same pixel dimension (1200x750), but have been saved at different pixels per inch 72, 254, 500. The 500ppi image could be scaled to 160% and still have an effective resolution of over 300, and the 72ppi image has a scale of 100%, but not enough resolution for most print applications.

well
I did some worskspaces
one that i use more is "mantra standard"
well i select the workspace , clicking on it
like in the first screenshot
but after shut down photoshop cs2 and start it again
I find the workspace non chosen, selected
like in the screeshoots 2
I tried to reset the preference but nothing sad.gif
I use xp sp2 with last update

that strange thing is that if i load a workspace with a menu with some colors , and after i load a workspace with color
the colors stay when i reboot photoshop
and if i give a look to edit -->menu --> i can't find menu with colors , I have to click ok to make them disapear
I use photoshop cs2 and pc xp sp2
I tried cs3 too and i saw the same problem
what's wrong?

Just go to Help>Deactivate in the editor before you uninstall.

Help me please! Can't uninstall Photoshop Cs6

I manully deleted Photoshop Cs6 from the Adobe folder (stupidly) and then I emptied the recycle bin and now can't uninstall Photoshop cs6. I know I need that file I deleted please help me get it back! I have tried that adobe cleaning tool. That didn't do anything..... Please I need all the help I can get!!!

See theirs the problem. I have gotten the pre-release and I manually deleted it (stupidly) so when I try to download the photshop it always say error occured. So I redownloaded the pre-release again and I was going to see if I uninstall it and run the adobe cleaner do you think that might work? if so, how do I uninstall the pre-release version?

Help Installing After Uninstalling Photoshop CS6

Hello i am needing help. When i installed Photoshop it was flashing whenever i drew or selected a tool and stuff it would flash and photoshop would turn black then normal and it would keep doing that, ( I have Windows 8 Pro) and so i uninstalled Photoshop CS6 and then later on i needed it again so i tried reinstalling it but after it's done extracting it says it can't install because of some CameraRaw7 thing and i can't reinstall it PLEASE HELP!

The flashing is from Win8 and the GPU driver. Known problem but MS not doing much about it. In mean time set GPU to Basic in preference/performance
Camera raw is a plug in. What is the error?
FYI uninstalling and reinstally rarely solves the problems.

Problem uninstalling MaxMSPRuntime on mac - urgent help needed

Hello there,
I've been using Cycle 74's MaxMSP Runtime version 5.1 for a while but recently had to witch to an earlier version to make some hardware function along side the Max runtime environment. The problem is that where i would usually just drag and drop Max 5.1 into the trash to uninstall it, for some reason, after i have done this and try to install the older version of Max, OSX wont let me install Max 4.0.8 as it says an updated version is currently installed. I have scoured my hard drive for the remanence of Max 5.1. and deleted everything i've found. Is there a way of overriding macosx and getting it to replace Max5.1 with an older version?
Urgent help needed as i am playing a show this weekend and currently am not able to get my equipment to function.
A shiny nickel for the one who saves my ***.

Hi- Try this...
If you can, reinstall or use time machine to recover your recently deleted MaxMSP Runtime 5.1.
Then, download AppZapper. It is a utility that helps you cleanly delete programs off your mac. It is free for the first 5 uses.

Then, install AppZapper, and then go ahead and drag the MaxMSP Runtime 5.1 into it, and it should hopefully get rid of the pesky program
