Uninstalling Photoshop CS6 before downloading from CC

I have rcently subscribed to Creative Cloud, but before I donload Photoshop from CC, I want to unistall my purchased Photoshop CS 6. I can't find how to do this on my Macbook Pro.

Navigate to your /Applications/Photoshop CS6 folder, Double click on the Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CS6 uninstaller alias.
Follow the on screen instructions.

I have Master Creative Suite CS5 (disk) installed on my iMAC running Mountain Lion 10.8.5. Some time ago I subscribed to Creative Cloud and installed CS6. Major computer problem caused me to have to wipe the hard drive and restore from the backup disk. My last backup was September last year which was before I installed the Creative Cloud CC apps. I would like to install the CC apps. Do I uninstall both the CS5 and CS6 apps first? At this point neither of the CS5 or CS6 apps have been updated.

It would be best to uninstall CS5 and CS6 before installing Creative Cloud applications as the previous versions are restored from a backup which might cause issues.

Installed Photoshop CS6 3 times from Perpetual License download - error messages keep coming

I bought Photoshop CS6 as an upgrade to CS3 and CS5 which I had previously bought on Disk. This new version came as a Download from Adobe but I have continuing problems with this download.
On first installation I ran the updater from inside Photoshop and got error message:
Extension Manager 6.0.6 Update
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
I ran the Adobe Application Manager for updates and it said I was O.K. but again from within Photoshop the updater gave the error message.
The Adobe Community suggested a re-install. I uninstalled the programme, ran the clean-up creative software tool and did another download and re-installed.
Now I have another error message:
Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.2
Done with Errors. Error Code: U44M1P6
Extension Manager 6.0.6 Update
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
I ran the Adobe Application Manager again today and it treated me as a Creative Cloud customer and said my trial had ended! - I don't subscribe to Creative Cloud, I am on a perpetual license. I have never (knowingly) done a modified install (wouldn't know how to!)
So now I have uninstalled Photoshop CS6 yet again. I have seen on one forum to download from the TRY button instead of the bought button. But I can't find the TRY button now - in fact all I can find on the HELP pages is the Creative Cloud version.
Time is running out - I can see I will be asking for my money back on this one!
Any help out there please?

I'm sorry the update didn't help, but you know Adobe will require you to update to the latest once you engage them.
I think an Adobe engineer is going to have to weigh in here There was once a problem just like this reported (same c000001d error code), but I thought Adobe had fixed it. See also:

I manully deleted Photoshop Cs6 from the Adobe folder (stupidly) and then I emptied the recycle bin and now can't uninstall Photoshop cs6. Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

Hello i am needing help. When i installed Photoshop it was flashing whenever i drew or selected a tool and stuff it would flash and photoshop would turn black then normal and it would keep doing that, ( I have Windows 8 Pro) and so i uninstalled Photoshop CS6 and then later on i needed it again so i tried reinstalling it but after it's done extracting it says it can't install because of some CameraRaw7 thing and i can't reinstall it PLEASE HELP!

The flashing is from Win8 and the GPU driver. Known problem but MS not doing much about it. In mean time set GPU to Basic in preference/performance
Camera raw is a plug in. What is the error?
FYI uninstalling and reinstally rarely solves the problems.

If it's the same machine (same CPU) there should not be any need to activate. The actiovation is tied to your CPU.

Does this mean your HP Scanjet 5590 is a 2nd scanner you have on your computer?
Are you able to scan with 5590 on a different application? Is it only Photoshop that is giving you this problem?
Please let us know details about your operating system and its version too.
Do tell us how you're trying to 'import' pictures from your 5590 scanner.
