Uninstalling sitestudio problem

Hi I followed the instructions how to uninstall SS and it went fine but then I went to remove the 4 metadata from SS in my config manager and it removed but when I do "update database design" i get the error:
Unable to execute service UPDATE_META_TABLE and function updateMetaTable.
(System Error: Unable to alter table 'ORA-29884: domain index is defined on the column to be dropped'.) Unable to alter table 'ORA-29884: domain index is defined on the column to be dropped'. java.sql.SQLException: ORA-29884: domain index is defined on the column to be dropped
All I got from searching around was:
Cause: An ALTER TABLE DROP COLUMN was issued on a column on which a domain index exists.
Action: Drop the domain index before attempting to drop the column.
What am I supposed to do with that?
Help please,
Thanks

Bex thanks so much for your response,
I don't know if a domain index was added or not because whoever setup this is long gone. I looked under "Administration" link but I don't see any "zone index" option. I also went to "advanced search design" in configuration manager to remove it that way but since i tried deleting those fields already I don't see them there anymore.
How else can I go about deleting those domain/zone index?
Thanks for your help,
malky

  • Uninstalling/reinstalling problems

    I am having trouble uninstalling/reinstalling itunes. My add/remove files list says I can not remove the program. When I try to repair or reinstall it. I get a box that pops up that says "The feature you are trying to use is on a network that is unavailable" "Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'itunes.msi' in the box below" then the choices are;
    C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple\Apple Software Update\
    and
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\Installer Cache\iTunes 8.0.0.35\
I am not a very tech savy guy so any help dumbed down for me would be a huge help.
The problem arose from me trying to run itunes and this message apearing "This action is only valid for products currently installed"
The library is all still there it now has the songs as quicktime files. Thanks

In addition to having iTunes open, you must also have at least one track selected for          these features to work. Note that you must have tracks selected,           rather than playlists, albums, etc.

  • HP 6500 Uninstall/Install Problems

    Well,
I've toiled for 4 hours trying to re-install my hp 6500 that suddenly stopped working from my desktop (wired tcp).  I ended up downloading the CD and running it but alas it fails every time.  Usually when it tries to "discover" the network it hangs at 66%.  I've read reccomendations to do a complete uninstall but no instructions are provided for working from the downloaded software (vice CD).  I can still print from wireless laptops but not my desktop.  My last action was to try to install it via usb but that crapped out somewhere as well.  Any assistance would be most appreciated.

    Hi dogtired,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see your HP Officejet 6500 stopped printing from your computer. You tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but everytime you attempt the installations it stalls at 66%, usually when it is trying to discover the network.  I would love to get you back up and printing but require a little more information:
    1. What is the Exact model of HP 6500 Printer you are using (as there a few in the 6500 series)?
    2. What is your current Operating system, Windows or Mac and which version?
    3. How do you want the printer connected, USB or Wireless?
    4. Have you tried using the software download instead of the CD?

I have just upgraded to CCM 3.3.5 from 3.3.3sr4 and trying to install MLA 1-2-4a, however it says I have to uninstall MLA 1-2-2 (that I previously had installed on previous version of CM) before I can install the new version, when I try to uninstall from add/remove programs it can't find the uninstall file, any ideas on another way of uninstalling the old MLA??

  • Uninstall Dreamweaver problems

I hope this isn't appearing twice. If it does my apologies to the community.  To make a very long story short.  I update an extension from an Adobe preferred vendors.  Update to me means a little fix etc.  I  din't realize it was a complete new extension.  When it asked to install I said yes.  Big mistake.  If had known it was completely different I would have unistalled the extension first.  Now the problem.
Dreamweaver C or CS6 will not open.  I was going to clean the slate and start again, there is the problem.  On the Windows 7 control panel/unistall the Dreamweaver programs don't even appear.  I will not do anytnng else,  way to many  shared files.  Any help as to how to uninstall and re-install would be appreciated.
    Barry

    Which extension?
Did you try disabling the extension from Extension Manager?

  • Install/UnInstall DLL problem

When I installed Quicktime something went wrong and it was a faulty installation and QuickTime wouldn't open. So I wanted to uninstall it and try again. However, when I try to uninstall I get this error message:
    Error number: 0x80040707
Description: DLL function call crashed: QTInstallCode.QuickTimeUnInstallProc
    Setup will now terminate.
Without being able to uninstall quicktime I can't install a new one, how should I go about uninstalling quicktime?
    Thanks.

Thank you for all the information you provided; this really helps to provide a solution for you.  Let's try a clean installation:
    download the FP uninstaller from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html and save it to disk;
    download the EXE installer for Internet Explorer from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html and save it to disk;
    close all Internet Explorer windows, then run the downloaded uninstaller;
    restart Windows;
    open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash - delete any remaining files in there;
    now run the downloaded installer.
Now open Internet Explorer and go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ - can you see the Flash animation (rotating red 'f')?
Any problems during the uninstall/install process?

I had the same problem on my N82 and i solved it by doing a soft reset.
Soft reset. In standby dial *#7370# and the phone's lock code (Nokia's default lock code is 12345). Warning!Soft reset deletes all your phone's data, so backup your stuff before you do a soft reset!
    You could try it.

  • CS4 Uninstall & general problems

I see tons of negative feedback on CS4 - is this typical of this forum or is this a program that's not ready to be hatched so to speak. I just shelled out a fortune to purchase CS 3.3 and I'm trying to see the value in spending another $440 (CS Web Premium).
I also see that several people have had trouble uninstalling these trials so I'm reluctant to even find out for myself. I had the same problem trying to evaluate CS3 in that it wouldn't install completely and wouldn't remove at all. FORMAT is a dirty word in this house.

    >I see tons of negative feedback on CS4 - is this typical of this
    >forum or is this a program that's not ready to be hatched so to >speak.
Neither. The problem with the various ranting threads (which I consciously have stopped reading) is, that the people starting them do not search for existing solutions and then, when you try to give advise, they don't listen and get lost in blathering on with their complaints.
I will concede that CS4 is not cut out for a given subset of hardware and the user experience will be impaired by the lack of proper hardware acceleration, but it is absolutely possible to
    a) install it without problems
    b) use it for work
regardless of this aspect (or "dark side", if you will). It may just require the user to update his drivers and spend a little more time configuring his system.
In my view it's simply a matter of staying realistic: I'm using CS4 here at home on a system that's almost 4 years old now, and while OpenGL works, it's of course not smooth when you rotate a 7MP image on a Quadro FX1400 and I don't expect it to. You wouldn't fly to the moon with a toaster, either. More than anything else I think it's a matter of false expectations and how informed you are: People are too easily confused by all the buzz words and then tick out when CS4 doesn't work on a 500 USD notebook with a cheap, 2 year old intel chipset, when it was never meant to be used there... There's many sides to this.
Anyway, since the trials are officially available as of this week, why not see for yourself? The installers work just fine along CS3, so the risk is acceptable, I'd say...

  • Uninstall/reinstall problems

OK, I uninstalled iTunes, and now I want to reinstall it. I am trying to follow the directions from the Apple support site, but I cannot delete the C:\Program Files\iTunes folder. Every time I try to, I get a message saying "Cannot delete iTunes Help.chm: Data error (cyclical redundancy check)." This is preventing me from reinstalling iTunes, which I need to update my iPod. Is there any way to fix this, so I can reinstall iTunes?

Hello, Can someone please help. I am so far into this I dont even know where to start. I downloaded Itunes 6.0 and would not open. I uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times still with no luck. I tried changing msconfig and was able to open Itunes but then could not get on Music store. I then uninstalled 6.0 and put back my original version of Itunes from a year ago. Had the same problem I know am back to having 6.0 but can not open it. Tried playing around with msconfig and am able to open but again can not log on to store. I get error message with a note saying could not log onto server please check network connection. What is funny about it is I can get on the internet but if I go on itunes.com I dont have access to downloads or forums. It is like I am only blocked from using those itunes functions.
    Someone please help
    Thanks

  • Uninstalling/Installing Problems

I recently purchased an iPhone 3GS but itunes will not recognise it. On advice of a friend I tried to uninstall itunes. I later found out that I was supposed to uninstall everything in a specific order - which I hadn't done. I'm now stuck with itunes (minus all the associated applications) and I can't download the updated itunes. Please help!

When go go to control panel>>uninstall a program, you see iTunes in the list, right?
If you right click on it you should get a list of options that includes uninstall, do you see that?
On not a valid win32 program, I assume you see this when you try to run the copy of itunessetup.exe that you saved on your PC, is that correct.
This happens because the download has been damaged, sometimes downloading with another browser works, also see this Apple article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1406?viewlocale=en_US
If none of that works, router problems can cause this. If you are using a wifi connection, can you try downloading with the computer plugged in. Failing that, the simplest thing is to get a friend to download the setup program and put it on a memory stick for you.

  • Uninstalling Xcode - problems?

Here are some comments about Xcode's uninstaller from 2004:
removed essential apps from the system (tar, zip, unzip, etc.) and prevents many operation from completing successfully - including Software Update.
Well, I found out what was preventing Software Update from working. Apple's uninstaller for Xcode also uninstalled "tar" and "gnutar" from /usr/bin. I had to use Pacifist to manually extract and install those two components from the base package on my Panther disk. Thanks, Apple. Nicely done with that uninstaller.
On disc1 that came with my imac, in the Xcode folder, there is a pdf file named "About Xcode Tools.pdf" and it says:
    About Xcode Tools
    Compatibility and Installation
    Xcode Tools 2.4 Release for
    Mac OS X v10.4 (Tiger)
NOTE: The uninstaller that ships with previous versions of Xcode Tools or Developer Tools will not clean
everything off of your system properly. You should either use the one on the Xcode Tools 2.4 DVD, or you
should use the one installed when you installed Xcode Tools 2.4.
Well, the 2.4 uninstaller doesn't work correctly either. See here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=850734&tstart=0

I think you've discovered a bug in the uninstaller in that it doesn't remove the Project Templates and File Templates folders. You should file a bug report and explain the circumstances which highlighted the problem:

  • Trying to uninstall FCE, problem.

I am following the article on how to uninstall FCE Hd and I am being told that "Livetype" is in use and will not let me empty the trash.
I trashed every file the article told me to.
I am doing this because I must have trashed an old project and FCE was not letting me set a new scratch disk so I could never get the app open.
So, if you can shed any light on the trash problem, that would be awesome.
Also, I guess I need to find out the proper way to trash a project so FCE doesnt go looking for it everytime it starts up.
    John

Can you reboot the computer? Then try emptying the trash.
Close the Browser before quitting the application. The next time it starts it will open an empty project. Or trash your preferences files.

  • Uninstalling CS6 problem - doesn't show up on 'programmes & features'

    ..nor any other uninstaller.
I might have tried removing it manually but the trial version did not install clean - i could never use CS6.
I tried to uninstall it over programmes and features and it said something along the  lines of 'sorry,we cant uninstall but would you like to remove this program from the list?' and i clicked yes.
So now,I can't install Photoshop CS6 on my PC (windows 7 x64) which is quite annoying and sad for me.
There seems to be no solution to my problem, no uninstall program shows CS6 on its list, there is do uninstall in the program folder either.
It appears I have scattered pieces of Photoshop all over my Pc and now I can't install it again (ever.)
I also don't know if removing registry files would do it ,and even then I don't know how.
I'd appreciate if anyone could help, there seem to be other people with the same problem.
    Thank you for reading

I did indeed see it,but as i already stated, cs6 doesn't appear in the list of programs so I can't uninstall it that way.
Important: Do not attempt to manually uninstall or remove Photoshop CS6 beta by dragging folders to the Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac OS). Doing so can cause problems with uninstallation, and installation in the future.
I think thats probably whats causing me troubles but there has to be a way ,other than completely wiping my hdd.
