Uninstalling Trial CS3 products

I need to remove some trial versions of Adobe CS3. How do I go about doing that. I don't think I'm suppose to just delete the application folder, am I?
Please help!

See if the installer has a 'uninstall feature' and run that. I had trouble removing the beta version and ended up going to Adobe's Web site to get special instructions. Check these links for help.

  • Uninstalling Flash CS3

anyone has got the answer ?? i downloaded the trial version
of Adobe Flash CS3 from adobe.com and now i want to uninstall it.
As i try to uninstall it whoaaaaa ... i can't. It asks for the
original installation media. I even tried buring the setup files on
a CD but still keeps on asking for the CD.
This problem is applicable for all the CS3 products. I dont
    know what's wrong with CS3s.
Dont suggest me to re-install the whole OS again.
Please anyhow I just want to uninstall CS3. It's been
something like dream for me now.. i wonder how can i uninstall ...
    how can i ???

I checked my specs, and everything seems to be fine. The only things it doesn't meet are the recommendations for Adobe SpeedGrade, which I don't plan on using.

  • Can't Uninstall Flash CS3 Professional

Yes I've looked around the web and Adobe forums. There's a whole mess of things I'm trying to fix right now so I might as well start from top and keep it compact.  Scroll down to where it says "Let's recap" if you wanna get a summary of my technical issues. It may scare away some of you, but please at least someone respond. (ps all links are put here purposefully by me)
I joined a site called newgrounds and became fascinated by flash movies there. I found a link which lead me to Flash CS3 Professional free trial download page.  I installed the program without a single problem. But after installation & restarting I couldn't find flash in there at all instead I found these (screenshot). I asked for help on newgrounds, and got advice to install CS4 instead. First I attempted to uninstall CS3, but it will only let me uninstall the Flash Player 9 ActiveX Component and not the program. I looked this up and the solution seemed to be CS3Clean Script. However I have two problems: first off I can't backup my files like recommended because the backup drive doesn't have enough room, which means 7.63GB out of 10GB is somehow being used (screenshot). If I decided to run CS3Clean Script without backing up my data I'd get a message telling me I need to install Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. (screenshot) Which leads me to my second problem.  When I run the file to install "Windows Installer CleanUp" (just downloaded)  I get this error. What does it mean? Because I am on the Administrator's account so I don't understand why I don't have privileges.
    That's all of it!
    Let's recap:
+Can't Uninstall "Flash CS3 Professional" Trial
+Can't use "CS3Clean Script" to Uninstall Flash unless "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" is installed
+Can't Install "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" because of this error
Minor-ish problem slightly related---> Can't back up data in case something else goes wrong!
ps Did I scare any of y'all away yet?

Clear all registry entries manually, folders and directories
    then do the
    installation all over again.

  • Help! CS3 Production Premium major issues in Vista.

I have been having a heck of a time re-installing CS3 Production Premium on my Windows Vista Home Premium computer (32 bit).
    Here are the system stats:
Vista Home Premium 32 bit Service Pack 1
Intel 8500 dual core processor (swapped out old 6400)
    4 GB DDR 800
    (new) 500 GB WD HDD
Nvidia 9600 GTS 512MB Video Card
McAfee Firewall/Viruscan running in place of Windows
    DSL Internet
CS3 Was working great on this computer when it had the slower processor and a smaller HD (160 GB) but since that drive's death and subsequent replacement I have not been able to get a fully successful installation of CS3 to work on this computer. I have done multiple re-installs (format/install) of the OS, CS3 (install and uninstall), running the CleanCS3 script as suggested from tech support, ran under a new user, and install/running under a simplified bootup using msconfig.
CS3 installs successfully but when it comes to starting for the first time it takes about 10+ minutes to load the serial number screen, then hangs and is unable to activate. I then wait another 5-10 minutes for the "phone activation" screen to come up which succeeds.
Once activation is successful I can now boot into most of the CS3 programs with these results:
    AE - Boots OK/Exits OK
PS - Boots OK/Exits Hang on exit (have to force quit)
IL - Boots OK/Exits Hang on exit (have to force quit)
EN - Hang on Boot while building media layer
    FL - Boots OK/Exits OK
    PR - Hang on Boot
    SB - Boots OK/Exits OK
Please help anyone! I'm at wits end here as to why something that was working so well just days before on the same OS and Antivirus/Firewall system has since ceased to work properly. I am having to borrow the Macintosh from work in order to get work done using their copy of the CS3 suite.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Can I legally sell my CS3 Production Premium Academic?

I recently purchased an academic version of Adobe CS3 Production Premium (full, not an upgrade). It has been nothing but a nightmare and I am extremely unhappy with every aspect of the product. I have deactivated it and was forced to reformat my hard drive (low level)and reinstall Windows (per recommendation of Adobe tech support) because it completely borked my TCP/IP settings somehow and caused massive registry errors, and according to Adobe, leaves markers in the MBR that relate to the Flexnet licensing and Windows operation.
I has been well over 30 days and the vendor I purchased from stated quite clearly that I am no longer entitled to a refund, only a courtesy exchange. Since I will never use CS3 ever again, an exchange is not helpful to me.
I have already registered the software, but now have deactivated and have no trace of Adobe software of any kind on my computer. What are the legal rights concerning selling the software package, in its entirety, through channels such as ebay? If it is legal to do so, what steps must I take to ensure that the purchaser can register and use the program without my registration conflicting?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mark Terry

    >It's hard to take a rant like this seriously, or agree with anything >that's
    >been said, when it's constructed entirely of sweeping >generalisations with
    >no reference to facts.
I'm not writing a scientific paper for peer-based review. I'm simply giving my opinion of the software and why I am desperate to sell it to recoup my losses.
I have already written in these forums time and time again with numerous CS3 related problems, as have hundreds of others who had similar problems with crashing software, botched installs, and endless headaches related to Flexnet licensing.
On top of that, in the brief period of time that CS3 did work, I found Photoshop CS3 to be less responsive than CS2 (or even 7!), and the interfaces for After Effects, Encore, and Premiere had horrible "jiggly" UI elements that would shift around with terrible redraw issues.
As an experienced computer user, my first instinct is to examine my system and reserve judgment on the software. However, after diagnostics my system was seen to be behaving normally. It's a 2.66GHz dual core system with 2GB ram and dual 8800 GTS 512 video cards, all the latest stable drivers and performs exceedingly well with all the other software I routinely utilize. Only Adobe CS3 was having this trouble; at first.
After the numerous steps taken to deactivate, reactivate, (so many deactivations and reactivations that Adobe had to "reset" my limit twice) uninstall and reinstall, running the cs3clean utility along with the Microsoft cleanup utility my entire TCP/IP subsystem became corrupted as well as numerous registry entries. Soon my system was taking upwards of eight minutes to boot up and I had no network functionality at all.
The fact that I was knowledgeable enough to rectify the situation doesn't diminish the fact the CS3 cost me not just hours, but weeks of hassle with its problems (causing such systemwide havoc as to render my syste unusable for any work at all). Only after all traces of Adobe software were entirely removed did my system regain normal functionality. This required a ow level format, according to Adobe, since they write licensing information to your MBR, to prevent people from using multiple copies of software in various boot sessions.
It seems evident (to me) that the crux of the problem is the Flexnet licensing system. It is so blunt and clumsy that the slightest problem renders everything useless. I understand Adobe's need to prevent unauthorized use, but if that means punishing the legal and the loyal, and furthermore, when it interferes with the functionality and dependability of the software, then I have to say that I will not use the software.
Whether or not the root of the problem is Flexnet, or Adobe, or my system, the bottom line is that the software simply does not do what it was intended to do.
For now I am relying on other software, which, to varying degrees, gets the job done. Of course, I'm left with a copy of CS3 gathering dust on my shelf. The box is quite heavy though, I coud use it as a doorstop and make beer coasters of the DVDs.

  • Error on ALL CS3 Products: "You cannot use this product at this time..."

    Hello all,
I woke up this morning and attempted to launch Adobe Photoshop CS3. I received the following error:
"You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling..."
At the same time I tried opening Photoshop, my Antivirus application (ESET NOD 32 Antivirus) indicated that it found a "threat" named AdobeLM_libFNP.dll.
I then tried opening DreamWeaver CS3. Same issue. Also got another threat notification from ESET NOD 32.
Non CS3 products (Photoshop CS2, Illustrator 10) do not appear to be affected.
I've already referred to the TechNote for this issue. I've tried all of the solutions, except for uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb401528&sliceId=1
I really don't have the time today to uninstall and reinstall all of my Adobe apps. I'm hoping there is another solution.
I'm running a complete system/virus scan right now and its coming up with threats left and right... all of them are Adobe-related w/file names like "AdobeDeviceCentralAll1.cab"
    Can anyone help?

    >At the same time I tried opening Photoshop, my Antivirus application (ESET NOD 32 Antivirus) indicated that it found a "threat" named AdobeLM_libFNP.dll.
if you're SURE that's a virus, you'll have to reinstall the full app. my guess is you AV app is a little too aggressive in it's scanning and it stopping the adobe license manager (AdobeLM) from running so you can't run your apps.
having heard of adobe, but never heard of est nod, i'd trust adobe 1st... try another virus scanner. for example avg (free or paid) or kaspersky, panda, mcaffe, symantec, etc.
hmm googling i found a pcweek review. they say it's great at catching "unknown" viruses (proactive protection) but "less than stellar" at stopping and disenfecting lots of other malware. so it may be thinking because of the behaviour of the ALM, nod32 thinks it's caught an unknown virus.
    http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,130906/article.html
    >When it comes to proactive protection, Eset's NOD32 was the hands-down winner in "Virus Stoppers," our eight-program antivirus roundup. In our tests, it caught 79 percent of unknown malware samples when using one-month-old signature files. The next-closest program, BitDefender Antivirus 10, came in with a distant 61 percent
    >NOD32's overall malware detection rate wasn't stellar, however. When pitted against AV-Test.org's nearly 900,000-strong "zoo" of Trojans, viruses, and other malware, NOD32 caught only 90 percent, compared to the 96 percent rate of top performers Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6, Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2007, and BitDefender Antivirus 10. It fared surprisingly poorly with 32-bit Windows viruses (approximately 1 in 11 samples in the zoo), catching only 73 percent.

  • I need to find a mac media set or files for cs3 production premium

My school bought a site license for production premium cs3 and we think a student stole the mac media set. I contacted customer support and they said that they couldn't help us because the version is to old, they instructed me to ask on this forum. Does anyone have a Mac media set of cs3 production premium they could burn and send me or can someone ftp me the files.

If Adobe Customer Support cannot help you, then there is little that we users can do. It would be illegal to copy any of our Adobe programs to disc and send them out.
You might want to look at ProDesign Tools, and see if they have perhaps a download version of PrPro CS3 in their links (think they are all the "trial versions," and those would not help before CS 5, IIRC, as it can be upgraded from trial to full-paid with the insertion of the S/N).
If you only talked to Technical Support, I would contact Customer Support, which is more geared to sales aspects, than T/S.
    Good luck,

  • How to uninstall Flash CS3

I have F7/F8 installed and I recently tried the CS3 trial
version but now I want to uninstall it ... BUT HOW???
I went to add/remove progs (winXP) and clicked on remove CS3
and it starts up the installer. But it only gives me a choice to
remove "some components of CS3" namely the F9 acitvex player and
the video encoder. I dont want to remove the F9 player as I am
using it in other applications (like Flex etc) the encoder can go
but there is no option to remove the whole of CS3.
Since it seemed to consume a few hundred megs when I
installed it I am desperate to remove it as I am short of disk
    space
    ANyone got an answer??
    Thanks

There is a program Adobe created that will uninstall it. It
is a seperate download, if you search in the forum you will find
several links and uninstall docs. If you are using Windows XP,
check to see if there was a restore point created before the trial
was installed. If so, restore to the previous restore point before
the trial was installed. This will ONLY remove the registry
entries, you can then remove the files manually.
I would still use the add/remove option in control panel and
select the video encoder because if you aren't going to use the
Flash program then you don't need that anyway. I am not so sure
that it wont uninstall the main IDE software, I am not sure if you
tried to uninstall or just got to the checkbox point.
I actually uninstalled the trial software completely,
uninstalled all the plugins and encoders. I still have Studio 8 and
all the encoders and software was still installed after I
uninstalled the CS3 trials. I would have had to reinstalled the
flash plugin for IE and FF again but that only takes a few minutes.
I did go and look, after the uninstaller completed and all the
software that was installed in the program files/Adobe folder was
completely gone. I mean the CS3 trials and folders were removed.
Yes, I did do a reinstall of the full version once it arrived
but I went through the same process everyone else seems to have
gone through to remove the trials. It did work on my system, the
removal. Took forever and had to uninstall every one of the
software individually, that was a pain but it worked.
I hope this helped, if not I tried.
    Thanks.

  • Cannot uninstall trial version internet explorer conflict

I cannot uninstall InDesign CS3 trial. I get an error message
installation cannot continue until the following applications are
    closed: internet explorer.
Since internet explorer is not operating this message must mean
    something else.
Any ideas to fix this so I can install full CS3 Suite?
    Bob

Could be your active desktop, if you have that enabled. Try switching to a plain vanilla desktop (even a plain vanilla no unnecessary startup items boot would probably help).
You can also try right clicking on the process and choosing "end process tree" but I have no idea what dependencies there might be which would cause your system to crash or lock up if stopped when you do that.

  • CS3 Production Premium to Creative Cloud

Can I use my CS3 Production Premium license to get the CS6 Creative Cloud service and if so will I only be able to use CS6 Production Premium or will I be able to use all of the other Adobe products?

Thanks for the quick response arij2010!
I thought that I would try out Creative Cloud but I'm noticing that in the Trial version of download section I don't see AE or Premiere.  Do you know if you can use these apps in the Trial version?

  • CS3 Production Premium License restrctions

If I get one CS3 Production Premium bundle, can I put After Effects on a different machine than Premiere? (I know I will lose the integration by doing this, but that's not a problem for my situation)

One other question--would it cause difficulties if I install the software on one computer now, then switch it over when I get my new computer in a month or so? (after uninstalling on the old one)

  • Clean install of CS3 Production Premium

    Hi,
I have CS3 Production Premium Suite installed and all elements running well for over a year on a Vista PC.  I am selling the PC to switch to a Mac, and I want to do a clean install of Vista and then re-install CS3 onto the machine.  Will the be any registration/licensing issues when I try to re-install CS3 when it has already been registered?  If there will be, I will avoid the clean install of Vista and just clean the drives.
    Thanks!
    Baz

    It's in Help>Transfer Activation.
Though it is designed to clean up after the trial of CS3, I'd also run the Adobe CS3 CleanScript a couple of times, before doing a complete reinstall. Note: you want the CS3 version - choose carefully.
    Good luck,

  • CS3 production premium disc 1 is scratched up

    Hello
I was trying to install cs3 production premium on a second pc for my boss. It did the normal full installation and yet only half of the programs were installed. I try again about 3 or 4 time and still programs like Photoshop and Premeire would not install. Bridge, soundbooth and stockphoto were the only ones installed.
I took a look at the discs and found that, to my surprise, disc1 is really scratched up. I thought maybe thats the problem.
So my boss called customer service about getting a replacement. It took a while but he got to someone who sent us a link so we could download disc1.
We download it, unzipped it, and burn a dvd. When I try intsallation again it asked for the original disc1. I took a look at the download and I found it is smaller than the original(1.5G).
What am I doing wrong? Can somebody help me?
