Uninstalling Trial version of ELS 6 also uninstalled Acrobat Pro 10 from ELS 2.5

I currently have a licensed copy of eLearning Suite 2.5 on my machine. I downloaded the trial version of ELS 6 about a month ago, but decided just to buy Captivate 6 as a standalone product. So I uninstalled ELS 6 today (which includes Acrobat Pro 11) and installed Captivate 6. I then discovered that Acrobat Pro 10 was no longer present on my machine, so I'm assuming that the uninstall process for ELS 6 must have somehow uninstalled it as well. I have the serial number to activate ELS 2.5 if I were able to download it again, but it's no longer available for download through the website since the new version has been launched. I don't have the install disk, since it was just purchased for download. How can I reinstall Acrobat Pro 10 on my machine?

Acrobat 10 was uninstalled when you installed Acrobat 11 as part of the installation process.
If you originally chose the download option you can check to see if the software is still available on your order page at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1006208?tstart=0&promoid=KBHJQ.  If it isn't you can contact our support team and they maybe able to re-enable the download.
If you did not choose the download option but have lost your installation media then I am not aware of any locations which you can download the older versions of the eLearning Suite from.

  • How to uninstall trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro from a mac?

I installed a trial version Adobe Acrobat Pro from the Creative Cloud list on my Mac Pro 10.7.5. First, although I was supposed to have a 30 day free trial, it expired immediately. Worse, every time I try to open my former Adober Acrobat, I get prompted to buy a yearly subscription to Acrobat pro and cannot use my older version. I have tried various ways to uninstall the Acrobat Pro version and to get back to normal, with no success. Anyone out there to help or must I spend money on an international call to ask Adobe what to do? It seems that they have shut down their "chat" service. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. Robert

This is not a Technical Communications Suite product. If this is AE CS4 you can try the CS4 Clean Script:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html
If that fails, try the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Tool.
If that fails try the AE forum.

When you reinstall the software does it tell you that your trial is expired?

  • I need to install a volume license for Adobe Acrobat Pro from an old to a new computer

I need to install a volume license for Adobe Acrobat Pro from an old to a new computer
I have the correct License Key which I checked on Adobe License site but when I enter it
    is says it's incorrect

    Problem solved,
I found the original Adobe installation files on our system that we used to first intall Acrobat Pro.
Using these files with the correct volume license key we were able to install the programme on our new Computers.
I was also informed by Adobe Help that I could also download these file from the Adobe License website after logging in.
    https://licensing2.adobe.com/
Click on Licenses / Download and then Software
Hope this might help anyone else with the same problem

I'm using a 15" Macbook Pro running OSX6.8 and cannot upgrade. I have a subscription to Adobe CC but none of these work on this so I was on with Adobe for 5 hours trying to install and launch Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Muse, and Acrobat Pro from CS6. Well, InDesign is the only one that works and I have a ton of work due! I don't have a serial number for Photoshop or Illustrator except for CS3, and they don't work. InDesign gave me no problems. Illustrator says it can't work on this machine. Photoshop needs a serial number. I'm stumped and getting anxious and freaked out. Can anyone help? Adobe Chat is down right now.

if you have a cc subscription, close ps > sign out and then back in to your cc desktop > open ps.

  • Cannot completely uninstalled trial version of Adobe Acrobat Professional 9

    Hi,
I've downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 as a 30-day trial. When 15 days or so have passed, I've decided to discontinue my use and uninstalled the trial version via Control Panel - Programs and Features. However the program refuses to go away. When I install Acrobat Reader 9 it tells me that I already have Adobe Acrobat Pro and should decide to choose one as the default PDF file-handler. Now once in a while when I open a PDF file the Pro trial window would pop-up and ask me to enter a key or choose the trial version. When I choose the trial version it then says that an error has occurred when loading the trial information, or something like that.
I've looked for the Pro folder/files throughout my computer and found nothing. I've tried Microsoft's Windows Install Clean Up utility and removed Pro from the program list there, however that did not change anything. I still get the trial pop-up and the error message that follows (see attachments).
    Any thoughts?

If the executable is removed, then it is not possible to run it anymore.  Therefore the uninstall did not really remove everything.
Can you check if there is anything left in Program Files\Common Files\Adobe?
If you really cannot find what's running, try Process Monitor from Sysinternals to see what's running when you open a PDF file.

  • Trial version, is a clean uninstall possible?

I tried the trial version (Japanese) of Acrobat 8. After I finished the trial period and uninstalled it, it left a lot of stuff behind.
Now I have problems printing from Reader (v.7, English, with Japanese fonts also installed). Random characters are missing, and the missing ones are different each time.
Also, Reader will no longer open up in the browser (IE6.1) when I click on a pdf file on the internet.
These things worked before. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Reader, but things do not get better. I can only assume that, among the junk left behind by the trial version, that there is something that is now interfering with the operation of Reader.
Is there a way to get rid of all the junk that the dirty uninstall of the trial version left behind?
    Thanks

Hi. I looked at that, but it is only for XP and Vista. I'm still on W2k, so I couldn't use that. (Acrobat seems to be the only program from Adobe now which will run on W2k).
I did find some info in the knowledgebase about uninstalling Acrobat Standard and Reader by hand. I've done what I could, although I haven't gotten around to re-installing Reader yet.
However, before I uninstalled Reader 7, I have checked printing on this and another computer, using various files. I can say this:
    - no problem with the printer
    - no problem printing with other applications on this computer
    - no problem printing old PDF files made by other people (manuals and such) on this computer with Reader 7 (the version I just uninstalled).
    - no problem printing PDF files which I made on this computer using either the trial version of Acrobat 8, or PDFCreator, on the other computer, using the same version of Reader 7
    - the only problem is printing those PDF files made on this computer, using either the trial version of Acrobat 8 or PDFCreator, on this computer.
Conclusion: It has to have something to do with the junk that was left behind. Something on this computer is messing up the printing from Reader, but only for PDF files made on this computer.
Whether I can solve this by uninstalling manually, I don't know yet.
I don't know what to think of this, except that I am not at all impressed.

  • Uninstall Trial version of Technical Communication Suite 2

I decided to try out CS2. I decided that I didn't need all the features and that I'd be okay just using the software I already had installed. Long story, short, I ran the uninstaller and it did not uninstall Acroat 9 Pro Extended. Because this is still in place, I cannot successfully view any PDF files on this machine and I can't even revert back to what I had before. How do I get this last piece of CS2 off my machine so I can get back to where I was before installing the trial version?

Try using the Adobe CS3Clean and CS4Clean scripts. These were designed for the CreativeSuite, but also take out Acrobat:

    Hi Mylenium
Forgot to mention that since installing CC my Extension Manager was also updated to the CC version, which I didn't really want. After uninstalling CC Extension Manager I no longer can find the normal Extension Manager, the only way I can check for updates is through Photoshop it's self.
So I really want to get Photoshop Extension Manager back to the normal version

So, how I should uninstall these programs and what do with creative cloud? And how deleet Adobe account. I want delet everythink what I download. Please for help. Joan

    Hi
If you want to remove CC from Mac, you can find uninstallers in Applications/Utilties/Adobe Installers. On Windows use Control Panel -> Programs.
What about deleting Adobe ID - you can't delete it. All you can do is to try contact Adobe Support.

  • Had a trial now paid for cloud do I have to uninstall trial version before I can use these products?

I had a trial version and now am signed up to use the cloud as a student. Do I have to uninstall the trial version before I can start to download all the items I want to use?  When I was reading and watching tutorial it said to uninstall the beta.  I am just learning to use software and don't exactly know how to start using the suite of products I am purchasing for 19.99 a month.  Need to get this done asap for school projects.

No, you can leave your installed versions in place. When you install the application manager, it will recognize them and serialize the apps for you to use them. Only reinstall if thast doesn't work properly.

  • Uninstalled Trial version of Elements 7 (Trial Version) Now Computer won't boot

    Hi All,
    Thanks for reading......
I installed Elements 7 Yesterday (Trial) to await my purchased version, so I could get the 'feel' of the program .......
Today my software arrived, read the booklet (Getting Started) which say's "it's a good idea to uninstall the trial version first", this I did and re-booted the computer but it will not start as normal, left with a blank screen with flashing cursor at the top left of the screen.....

    Any advice, help please

There have been many users here in the forum who have been successfully been able to uninstall PSE 7 trial from the Windows XP SP3 machine without running into such kind of error. I believe this problem is not related with PSE7.
May be you can do some troubleshooting with Ms

  • PSE installation issues - How do you uninstall trial version???

I've read several posts about this already, but I can't seem to figure out how to uninstall the trial version of PSE for mac. (I am getting the critical errors/incompatible payloads error message. Shame on Adobe for not fixing this yet.)
I read not to dump it into the trash. But when I launch the program from untilities I don't see any option to unintall. One post said to "remove it" How do you do this? The delete key doesn't work. How on earth do you uninstall something? I can't even get into the trial version because it keeps asking for a serial number (and I've read entering it doesn't help. I'm so lost, and really didn't plan on spending my hard earned Friday night doing this.) Any help would be much much appreciated!

There is no uninstaller. The only two icons in the Adobe Installer folder were something called Exented Scripts Installer and the Photoshop Elements icon. I got tired of messing around with it after several hours and finally ran the cleanscript 3 program which worked; I was able to install the purchased version right away. It still really bothers me that I could not figure out how to uninstall though, I'm sure I will need to in the future.
I wonder if my computer is just missing this installer/uninstaller option?

  • Can't Uninstall Trial Version of CS3

When I attempt to uninstall the trial version of CS3 the program tells me that I must deactivate the program first before continuing with the installation. The problem is that the deactivation button is grayed out. What can I do?

Wait. It can take several minutes after starting a program for the
deactivation menu item to become available.

  • Possibility to uninstall trial version even if i have put the documents to the trash ?

    hi,
some days ago, I have downloaded the Photoshop trial version. But it didn't open correctly then I decided to put it in the trash (and empty it...) to download a new trial version, hoping that the new one could work better than the previous one. But I realized too late that I needed to uninstall the previous one to install a new version and I had deleted the uninstallation software... So I can't do anything now, because I can't uninstall the first version and install another one. Is there any solution to my problem ?
    Please !!!!!

    Hi Zeliezelie,
Seems like you are using MAC . If thats right and if you dont have any other product installed on the machine , please rename the following folder and delete the App from Application/Utilities and perform a fresh installation .
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe
